Elizabeth had grown used to the Luteces appearing when she didn’t expect them. So far removed from Columbia, it seemed strange and at odds. Lost in time and reality, just as she was. Elizabeth could go where she pleased and it seemed the Luteces would follow close behind. Offering the same cryptic advice they had done since her escape from the tower. 

Clear blue eyes dragged themselves away from watching Comstock (he could call himself Booker Dewitt, but he was nothing like the man who had rescued her so long ago) and settled on the scientist. Annoyance written clearly on her face.

The colder months were always the roughest. While the fact that he had a job helped, things were still tight and he tried to budget things as much as he could. (Or scramble to fix things when he spent too much on alcohol or had to pay something random after it broke). A new jacket was the last thing that was on his mind. Booker would be completely fine if the twins didn’t drag him out of the lab to do whatever almost every other day. 

“‘M fine,” he muttered without even glancing toward the other man. He shoved his hands into his own jacket pockets in an attempt to warm them up. “I’m not shivering or anything.”
