To add on to my post about blushing virgin Bruce: just imagine the first time Clark calls him baby!?!?

It’s bound to happen because, come on. It’s Clark Kent, aka the walking country farm boy stereotype. Its practically ingrained into his system to say all those annoyingly sweet nicknames like sweetheart and darlin’ and fucking cupcake

Anyway, the first time it does actually happen, its when Bruce is having one of his little fits because he let the joker get away or something. Hes been ignoring everyone and refusing to come out of his cave for hours and Clark is getting worried; he’s been practically begging Bruce on hands and knees to just eat something when it slips out-

“Baby, will you please just come upstairs for dinner?”

Bruce then promptly freezes in his rapid typing, which causes Clark to freeze(woah! Domino effect) because he thinks something is wrong with Bruce.

“Baby? You okay?”

When Clark reaches out to rub his shoulder in an attempt at comfort, Bruce makes no sound and doesn’t even look at clark; he just stands up, grabs Clarks hand, and starts leading them to the elevator like this is a perfectly normal thing to do

Clark hesitantly lets himself be lead, feeling both triumphant and scared because theres no way Bruce Wayne just caved so easily after only like one hour of whatever you call what Clark was doing. (Begging? Torture? Manipulation? Depends on the perspective; bruce would probably say all three)

Clark is getting suspicious, so even though both the elevator ride up and dinner are dead silent and kinda awkward he doesn’t really mind, because it gives him time to workshop his theory

When he actually gets to test it out, its because Bruce is glued to his monitors(again), this time in his office instead of the batcave. Clark asks him 3 or 4 times to just come to bed because hes so obviously tired and when bruce doesn’t listen(as predicted,) Clark just leans against the doorframe, raises an eyebrow and says-

“C’mon baby, you know you want to”

He purposely uses that soft, kryptonian voice he has saved away for almost-end-of-the-world speeches. Bruce does that thing again where he freezes up and sort of stops breathing; and when he doesn’t move for a few moments Clark is about to furrow his brow and ask if hes alright, but then bruce is standing up and crossing the room at record time and. Guess what.

Hes blushing.

Bruce actually lets Clark lead them to his bedroom hand in hand. Are you kidding.

Clark hides the biggest smile ever in Bruces hair when he climbs into bed and starts clinging to Clark like a koala, because holy motherfuck he just cracked the code to the universe

He would be so happy to do this trend. He thinks he only needs one pen. One shot. He sits down with only one pen in his hand ready to win in one go.

Well you can tell where this is gonna go.

He had to get up to go get 5 more pens. You're sitting down right next to him ready for your turn but, he never gives you a chance to go. He said "Not until I get this. Please". You feel bad for him while trying to hold back your laughter.

He runs out of pens so he takes yours. When he has one left he throws it. It makes into the cup. And it bounces out. You break out in laughter and he just feels so disappointed. He feels bad and still wanted to take you out so you both still went to dinner later.

Naaaa he definitely planned this for a while. He bought a special pen and everything. When he bought it the seller said it had good aerodynamics or something. And he ate that up. He talks up this pen so much you think he's actually going to make it.

Spoiler alert he doesn't.

He doesn't realize it but the pen is heavy, and when he throws it, it just falls immediately. He was so destroyed cuz he spent so much on that pen. He doesn't even try anymore.

You feel bad for him later and you take him out for dinner but as usual he pays for the both of you.

I feel like you had to force him to do the trend with you. You just woke him up after he stayed up playing games the whole night. You explain the rules and he's like "sure sure just let me go back to sleep already". You have like 5 pens ready, also ready to give him the next one because you don't think he's gonna make it in his first try. He doesn't make it on his first try but after he sits up he makes it on his 2nd try. And immediately goes back to sleep while saying "told you I could make it".

He makes it but, it takes him 5 tries. He's on his last pen already and he's mad. He really thought that he was gonna get it first try and you were gonna let him go back to practice. But no. After the 3rd one you told him, he could stop and go back to practice but, now he has to get this. After he makes it he pats himself on the back, gives you that look of I told you I could do it, and leaves to go back to practicing.

I had this idea cooking for awhile y'all.

He, like everyone else thinks it's not that hard but he learns the truth in a second.

On the first pen he's like "hmm I should've made it but, ok". And on the 4th try, he's so angry he just breaks the pen in half. He throws both pieces and only one piece makes it in. He looks at you and and tells you "that better count". And you feel bad so you do count it.

Bonus

Ego does this trend and makes it. He doesn't throw the pen, he walks up to the cup and just drops the pen into the cup. He looks at you and just says "you never said I couldn't just put the pen into the cup". You look at him and tell him "the literal trend part is that you throw the pen dude" and he just looks at you like I did it though. "Get back to work. I did your little trend already".

They seem to have a healthy relationship with each other and with Josh. They aren't at all too harsh but they aren't too nice either.

Josh clearly loves his parents, especially his mom. He still calls him 'Mommy' or as Evan spells it, 'Momee'. Calling mothers that is often seen as a childish thing to do, well, it was back in the 2000s so Josh calling her that shows his attachment.

He also knows her very well, knowing what'll happen if he does this or that and even panicked when she was about to see him in his realistic zombie costume. Josh also has a healthy fear of her, acting very scared when he was caught ripping open wonder bread because he knows what he is doing is wrong therefore will face his mom, and potentially father's wrath. But he still isn't at all tense, he still curses and shouts at them but acts small and quiet when he knows what he did is wrong thus not fighting back when he is scolded and screamed at.

On the twilight zone episode Josh's parents trusted him to take care of the house and his mom even came home early because she was worried. His dad even said that they can trust him because he is "a big boy".

At the end of the comic, Josh's mom literally gets a heart attack after finding out about her son being involved in the burning of the comic book shop, my guess is because she was so shocked that her son would do that she got a heart attack. This shows how she expected better from him and never thought he would do something like that. Not to mention, they even tell him to go to college for a business degree which shows how much they want him to be successful even though he didn't enjoy it.
