Chinese tea chain outlet’s BingXue Tea & Ice Cream has opened a branch at Sembawang Shopping Centre on 20 January 2025. So, after our dinner, we proceeded to the second floor and was met with a queue. While there are some customers buying their teas, most are just there for the S$1 ice cream cone. This store has replaced Mixue (蜜雪冰城) as the place to go to for soft serve ice cream since the latter increased it price to S$1.50 a cone.

Their popular ice cream flavour is matcha and this is what many had in their hands, licking away. I bought the Match & Match/Vanilla Twist Ice Cream for both myself and mum. I like the sweet and milky confection with an earthy tinge, while mum said the waffle cone is so crispy.

のんびり11時過ぎに『緑水庵』さんに行ったところ、節分の上生菓子【赤おに:黒こしあん】と【青おに:抹茶あん】は最後のひとつずつになっていました😱

家族が【いちご大福】も食べたいと言ったので、一緒に購入。日持ち・本日中なので、こちらを先にいただきました。餡は甘過ぎず、中の苺も酸っぱ過ぎずで、とても美味しかったです😋

福豆をボリボリ食べていたらお腹がふくれてしまいました😅上生菓子は日持ち・3日なので、明日食べようと思います🍵

（…と思っていたら、友達からウォーキングの誘いを受けたので、お腹を空かせに歩きに行きましたとさ😄）

🍁 Maple Hojicha Latte Macchiato

📝 Recipe:

Steam & froth 180 ml of oat milk & tbsp of maple syrup.

Pour the milk into a glass mug.

Whisk 1 tsp of Hojicha Powder & 60 ml of 80°C (175°F) water.

Slowly pour the whisked hojicha.

I actually didn’t took notice of the Matcha Soft Serve launch by McDonald's Singapore a few days ago until my colleague asked if I had eaten it. So here are my Matcha Cone and Matcha Twist Cone (S$1.20 each). The advertisement from McDonald's is showing pastel green matcha soft serve but what we have gotten more closely resembled the actual green tea’s darker colour. I enjoyed it though I wished the green tea taste to be a little stronger as this is after all a vanilla-based ice cream.
