Whispers in the Force
Aw yeah, teeny tiny, itty bitty story drop in today’s patch! Always a fun and appreciated surprise! Let’s see what BWA has in store for us today! Obviously, some
Okay, not a whole lot here, but it was a nice fun little update nonetheless! Some quick thoughts, in no particular order:
Hylo says we’re all the important people--thanks vodka aunt! ♥ u!
Akaavi! Holy crap, it’s been long enough since the last update I kind of forgot we sent her on a mission! I love Akaavi bunches, and adore that BWA found a way to have her play a part in the story again. Now if they could just give her, Shae, and Torian a team up mission together my life would be complete. Mando Road Trip!!!
THERON!!!! -- look, its not much in the way of content, but he’s there, and I appreciate every appearance
I love how he sticks up for Gnost-Dural if you pick one of the immature dialogue options, nad is almost even diplomatic about it. Character growth! And him and Gnosty still being total bros!
Theron and Gnost-Dural is my other BroTP with Theron -- Underwear Bros 4 eva!
Okay, back to plot stuff for a second -- I know that they didn’t really reveal anything about the nature of the device that Darth Nul created other than it was a “containment” device. But that wording, along with the REALLY WEIRD FRICKING WRITING DECISIONS in the Dantooine Flashpoint make me wonder if that theory I had isn’t so far off.
What the hell was that artifact “containing” anyway? And why the fuck did we suddenly get enveloped in darkness?? I’m really hoping that what seemed like bad/infuriating writing decisions were actually clues to something more nuanced/subtle going on. Like back when Umbara originally dropped, I am all too happy to be tentatively optimistic if they’re doing something a little clever and unexpected, as long as at the end of the day they stay true to the characters.
I WANTED TO VISIT THE CREEPY PLANET TO LOOK FOR RELICS :( :( :( :( [insert Veruca Salt tantrum here]
But sending Arcann works too I guess
I do like that they are finding some ways to keep the “bricked” characters involved in the storyline, and its clever to send Arcann to do a mission in Wild Space.
Darth Nul is a fun name for an old Sith of legend--I really hope that name is a hint to perhaps what was contained in his relic. HMMM. Let the speculation begin!

"You must be Akaavi Spar", as if you haven't met her when reunited with Mako, you little shit.
#no actually writers are little shits for pretending that bounty hunter never met akaavi before#now i don't know how this conversation goes with smuggler but i'm sure not like this#(don't have a smuggler at this point of story yet to check myself)#so anyways i'm ignoring this line#they actually got along#swtor#swtor 6.3.2#legacy (verse): lette

SWTOR: 6.3 bugs as of Sept. 4
I'm separating this from my commentary on the latest story so it gets seen and does not have spoilers:
If you're playing a saboteur in either faction, the bug in Relentless Ambitions still exists. The game will act as though you did the mission that you supposedly declined. Ror and Jenari unfortunately got caught by this (and I'm still nervous about their sab status now), but I found out about it in time to hold back all of my other saboteurs. I tried this morning with Lira the Jedi Knight and again, sure enough...she's getting the scene that should not apply for saboteurs.
I escaped from the scene, and reset it, and it's back in her log unplayed.
Also, in the Whispers in the Force segment, there's a character who should know the Bounty Hunter specifically but does not, even if you clearly met them in the story earlier. Found this one out the hard way with Auyrini, unfortunately. Both are recognized bugs in the dev tracker, although the saboteur thing was supposed to be fixed with 6.3.2. So now I have most of my Republic endgame toons and two other Bounty Hunters who have to be held back from at least one of the recent story segments. Good job Bioware! /sarcasm

Play by play reactions
Akaavi said nothing to my smug! Girl, why so cold?!
Yay, Theron has stuff to say, and he talks about Gnost Dural <3
Ok, sending Arcann on my LS smug and then probably dealing with the alternative on Not!Eva who has killed Arcann.
OH LOOK A QUEST WITH AKAAVI
...Stilted. And then nothing smug specific?

SWTOR 6.3.2 content update:
Played with my two mains: JK and Agent
(it’s 3 days old, don’t think I need a spoiler alert?)
Very pleased to see Theron take over half of the debriefing on the Pub side. I’m sick of the devs ignoring him just because the idiotic kill option back in Nathema.
Not pleased that Theron has no spoken lines on the Imp side, especially when it’s my Agent who’s romanced him.
Sana-Rae has more active role in Force related things and the suggestion of sending Arcann are good calls. I always have issues with how the writers basically used a magic ritual to “redeem” Arcann as if he’s under some mind control spell and basically glossed over all the responsibilities and consequences of his past atrocities. That’s just lazy writing. At least we get to see how the Alliance and Arcann are both trying to find their footings here.
The whole Mandalorian civil war is frankly dragging a bit long. Unless it will become a huge part in the whole 7.0 expansion, which should be about the mysterious Sith Darth Nul (now novel the name is lol), I wish the writers could end it soon.
Speaking of Darth Nul. It is potentially interesting that the Dantooine Jedi use a Sith relic to brainwash Revan. I doubt they’ll dip in something deep. Hope it won’t be another case of “tHe JiDI aRE eVIL lOok hOW eDGY i aM As A wRItER” that many “modern” writers think that counts as “good writing”.

Having my Alliance headcanoned the way that it has (all 3 of them, actually) at least one powerful Force user (class character) made for a good laugh when Sana-Rae suggested Arcann (or herself as help, depending on choices) to investigate the source of the relic. No, Commander doesn't happen to have a strong Force user who is interested in knowledge and is eager to help, what do you mean Barsen'thor could help? What do you mean a chiss Sith would be good for this mission?
#again this is just my headcanons and my stories#but i'm pretty sure i'm not alone in this#on the other side if we're getting more arcann i'm all for it#swtor 6.3.2#legacy (verse): seinna

One more reblog with a heads up: If you're playing a saboteur, the bug in Relentless Ambitions still exists. The game will act as though you did the Balmorra mission. Ror and Jenari unfortunately got caught by this (and I'm still nervous about their sab status now), but I'd found out about it in time to hold back all of my other saboteurs (every other Republic character who has reached that story point).
Good job, EA/BW. /sarcasm
6.3.2 story snip thoughts
Behind the cut because this literally just came out yesterday. Spoilers for 6.3.2 obviously:
1. I kind of love that Sana-Rae left the Force mission vague and easy to headcanon. I found it intriguing that she specified that the volunteers were all former Jedi and Sith. Which makes sense, given than a lot of the Force enclave's appeal seems to be being outside either belief system.
My Alliance's team of four would undoubtedly contain Ror, Jenari, Ashara and Xalek. Ashara is defying labels right now and I could see Xalek saying a firm 'fuck you' to the entire Sith Empire while still using Sith Force techniques. (NB: If you kept that Zakuulan alive, he goes instead of the team) Suvia would not be going on this expedition because she is the head of her division and also avoids combat these days. Jaesa would not go because she is one of Viri's seconds, and is also needed on base.

Caption: From: Sana-Rae Subject: Briefing update I have formed a team of volunteers from the Force enclave. Two former Jedi and two former Sith. All are willing and eager to learn more about the mysteries presented by Darth Nul's relic. I have provided the team with detailed instructions. They have all the information that was provided to us about the relic. I will notify you as soon as they return. May the Force guide them. 2. I was really happy to see Golah again Imperial-side, but I was disappointed that there's never any mention of the Commander knowing him from the Tatooine planetary arc. I know that's one more flag to program, but still, it would have been nice to have that callback. Maybe it will happen later? 3. I swear to God, if Darth Nul turns out to be another name for Tenebrae (remember Marr said he had many names, not just the three we knew) I am going to scream. 4. My current hypotheses for Darth Nul: a) Tenebrae's alias (see above...) b) Darth Jadus's alias. c) Darth Nihilus's disciple. Oh shit. The "superweapon" from the Sith cult mentioned for 7.0...if that gets turned on Odessen... d) A Sith who turned to the Jedi and wanted to erase their past. e) A Jedi who turned to the Sith, whose history was purged by the Jedi to prevent questions or criticism. f) Someone who survived Dantoone's mind wipes but in a very warped, cursed form. Nul is very close to the Sith word for peace - nwul. Hmm.

As an addendum to this, did anyone who is a saboteur on either side get any saboteur-specific lines during the latest story segment? Jenari and Ror both got caught by the saboteur bug in the update before this one, before it was identified as a bug by SWTOR (ie, they chose to ignore the Balmorra mission, which was the saboteur choice, but they still got an update from Aygo as if they had taken on the mission after all).
I'm really hoping they have not lost their saboteur status. Both of them will go hide in the bottom of the sea before they will voluntarily help the Jedi again, so it would be a huge deal if those two characters somehow lost their saboteur tags. There doesn't seem to be any sab-potential in this update, but I'm worried now.

Either I got good at Swtor or the Bosses are easier to take down now
Currently playing trough Spirit of Vengeance and maybe it's just my imagination but I think they reduced the amount of silver mobs
Which is good...But the flashpoint is still long and annoying

The final Boss fight is way easier now!
The first wave is only two normal mobs and the second just one normal and two silver mobs
They finally toned it down enough to be a story flashpoint.
It's still long but at least I don't need to use any of the med stations in a boss fight anymore
Currently playing trough Spirit of Vengeance and maybe it's just my imagination but I think they reduced the amount of silver mobs
Which is good...But the flashpoint is still long and annoying
