do you ever wonder how often binghe created a dreamscape to see sqq when he was in the abyss? and how often he was abruptly waken up by hunger, wounds, or terrifying sounds and had to start all over again?

would be funny if hissabeth just has a habit of. swallowing food whole like a snake. pointer comes in and hissabeth is in the breakroom with cup noodles and a boiled egg. “oh, you’re putting it in your ramen?” pointer goes. “yes but no” hissabeth says, then unhinges her jaw and proceeds to swallow the entire full boiled egg down.
up to you if she peels the shell.

Bryanna is able to guide her smoothly through the delivery process, and pretty soon they're both welcoming Timothy Mondegreen into the neighbourhood!
Timothy is a yeoman like his mother, but might get a greater degree of class flexibility than a typical yeoman, since his father is a gentry knight. He could potentially marry a merchant or gentry girl, or enter the knighthood career and earn a higher status that way. Or maybe he remains a yeoman like his mother. We'll see!

people say a lot of shit online but I hope to god that one day, someone has the absolute impudence to call POTS or EDS a 'trendy diagnosis' to my face. I will dislocate my entire arm in front of them. I will make them take my vitals laying down and then standing. I will slide my kneecap several inches in every direction. I will do some cirque du soleil 'needs an exorcism' nonsense SO quickly

My most irrelevant opinion about anything is that if I was designing a latin-based alphabet or romanization scheme for a language with a three-vowel ~[a i u] system like arabic quechua australian/inuit languages etc I would choose the letters a e o instead of a i u because the roundness of the shapes gives them a nice sense of harmony together

The New Mandalorians' reform of Mando'a?
I have an idea in regard to mando’a based on history of Polish language - and definitely something similar happened with other languages, but I’m gonna go with my native one, so bear with me here for a moment.
The modern way Polish words are written is among others regulated by the reform from 1936 that simplified and unified (or in some cases, rejected) the previous spelling rules. To not dwell much on the details, I will bring just the change that happened to using -i and -j (and -y) that was said to be “the most difficult spelling issue” between the all debated then linguistic matters.
Not surprisingly, in the past there were different ways to say and write down one word. For example, the Polish word diabeł (eng. devil) was written as diabeł (modern correct form) or dyabeł or djabeł

The two pictures above, on left the page of book from 1775, on right: placard from 1947. Three pictures below, include cover pages for Polish translation of Alain-René Lesage's Le Diable boiteux || The Devil upon Two Sticks; on left version from 1919, in the middle from 1930. On right, placard from 1947 for the same theater play as above. All original publication dates comes from polona.pl
and, according to what I read on the matter, the beginning of this word could be still pronounced in 5 different ways as: [dja], [dyja], [dija], [dya] i [d’a]. Understandably the way word was pronounced depended a lot on the speaker and their place of origin, as
Polish language wasn’t standardized the way modern is and there were still characteristic dialects for particular regions of the country
the history of Poland - especially the partitions of the country when the occupiers tried to impose their language - attributed a lot to said language difference.
Thus reading older books and scientific articles can be pretty confusing or weird at times, especially with the archaic way letters -i, -j and -y are placed in certain words. The reform from 1936 unified the spelling rules, to the point mentioned letters are clearly defined by orthography and pronunciation (though I will spare you all the linguistic details so we could finally go to the main point of this post).
Now, the way one word could be written and spoken reminds me a bit of mando’a, as the language is quite flexible when it comes to speaking it. In theory, there are few rules and the main one is to pick the easiest way to pronounce the word, right? But given how Mandalorians as culture are diverse and literally spread through the galaxy, Mandalorians: People and Culture’s claim how mando’a remained unchangeable makes little sense. The Legends and New Canon both introduced at least one dialect (of Concord Dawn and Concordia moon respectively) into mandalorian lore which allow us to assume each mandalorian diaspora or even individual clan may have their preferred way of speaking mando’a - a way that may even differ from the grammar of standard mando’a.
This further led me to think about New Mandalorians, because their society rejected the nomadic ways of ancient warriors and is not on the run the way warriors were forced due to exile. They live in their cities on Mandalore like Sundari, they have a whole education system in which children are enrolled as was seen in TCW’s Corruption and The Academy episodes. The school where Korkie (Satine’s nephew) was attending, is especially of great status and importance, as noted by one of episode itself:
According to Senator Amidala, Mandalore is a deeply corrupt world. If the cycle is to be broken, the future leaders at the Royal Academy of Government must learn the evils of corruption.
So, if Mandalore has a fully established education system - and even individual school(s) for the highest society class and probably the most promising candidates for future leadership - it makes sense to assume each student was properly taught mando’a the way we were taught our respective native languages in school, with Basic as the second language (or vice versa, depending on what was happening on Mandalore for the last 700 years and how much Republic occupation and/or influences lasted there since the devastating attack happened). Additionally, the New Mandalorians have literal aristocracy represented by Duchess Satine and Prince Tal Merrik thus the grammatical and pronunciation rules of mandalorian language used by the highest social class and during official meetings may be even more restricted and seen as the most “proper” version of mando’a.
Considering it all, I do wonder if New Mandalorians at some point decided to reform mando’a, settle all the grammatical and pronunciation issues and enroll the “proper” version of language into their education system with officially released textbooks, dictionaries and so on.
(The mando’a we know could be then the final product of unification and cultural reforms that happened within New Mandalorian culture - and may be a reason why Basic and Mando’a share a lot of similarities as one language was influenced by another through the Republic occupation. On another hand, New Mandalorian's version of mando'a may differ from what we know by establishing how each word should be pronounced.)
Since the reform [1936] introduced in Poland had a fair share of opponents, I think the traditional part of the Mandalorian populace would complain how New Mandalorians are killing their culture by forcing on everyone their version. Because of course the warriors using mando’a according to their preference and needs would complain about any reform coming from pacifists backed up by Republic.
And no, this idea of linguistic reform is not aimed specifically at Satine. Sharing it for fun, not to blame any character.

paige shouting out tash cloud at every opportunity....love that
#can i say something.#i think because of tash's career track she's been very underappreciated#like she had 3rd most assists in the league last year#and that's with having several excellent passers on the team as well#and the fact that she regularly defends 4s [and was one of the more successful merc to do so last year]#tbh even the fans [like league fans] don't see it#and i think. even though she has that 200k contract [and deserves it]#many FO don't see her as invaluable#and like i understand why you would only want one big contract on the team between at and tash. like from a roster construction standpoint#i get it. i will be interested to see how the mercury do this year bc it's going to be a whole new system#apparently bg left bc they wanted to move away from the 4-1 setup idk#and i was thinking more about why the merc crashed out last year#i think it got into someone's head that they needed a 4 to rebound even though the system worked when everyone was healthy#and like having 3 of 5 starters either out or going through something after the break that will change a team#but the way they didn't have a consistent bench didn't help#and part of that is players and part of it is the flexibility you want to use when you have so many players on 7 days or minimums#and taking bec out of the line up makes it really tough bc she is such a good defender and versatile player#and it's not like they couldn't lock in and defend. they could. it just didn't happen all the time#and the perimeter defense sucked#and the more i think about it the more i think they should have started celeste in that 4 spot even though she's smaller she can defend#and the other thing is it wasn't totally the roster bc like we were competitive in those last two games#but i think part of the issue came with the reliance on the 3. even though most of the time the ball movement was good#well it was good with the starters in. there was one shot clock violation in that last game with seattle... oof#so i guess what i'm saying is i'm curious if the coaching will be different next year with larger players and more defenders#but that paige shouts tash out at every opportunity#well 2. first it was the style [makes sense] then it was the 1 on 1 play#just because she wasn't the biggest name on the roster didn't mean she wasn't incredibly valuable#and to decide in one offseason that you want to burn it down and start fresh is wild to me#and i think their decision to do that made bg explore fa#but aside from the positional overlap this trade happened bc phx doesn't have any assets
