syscord did serious damage to my perceival of things, discussions, and people's lives/identities. it forced me into condenscendingly correcting and brutally "educating" people who weren't aware of every little thing. it made me a much more abrasive and cold individual on the basis that i should always be correcting everyone on everything at all times and enforcing the same one-size-fits-all mold of "morality" onto them. it made me angry, aggressive, frustrated, isolated, scared, and it was absolutely not worth it.

with this post, i hope to help other people realize how a lot of syscord spaces manage to radicalize people into being aggressive, extremely demeaning and bitter people, by default. this doesn't apply to every system-based discord server, but the big ones where you get dogpiled and then shittalked for anything wrong you do — instead of, you know, being properly talked to like you're a person

it is a terrible place to be in for anyone, let alone people struggling with their mental health. do not force yourselves to stay in syscords for templates or decor, its genuinely not worth it. extremely harsh environment; namely the syscords where its filled with exclusionist 15 year olds who constantly pick at everything and anything to make you problematic. do not stay in these spaces, its not worth it. i promise you there are many resource servers where you won't feel like you're in a killing game with five hundred people at your neck

This is Dirk Strider (Greenhouse Haunted), and some friends of mine did a lot of hard work to create a Homestuck fictive server for fictives, by fictives.

We have many channels. To discuss source, archive resources, art channels, talking channels, and more. This is ultimately, an effort to connect (or perhaps, reconnect) fictives from our shared(-ish) source, and have a community to rely on. After all, being a kid is lonely and hard. SoC Theatre! (16+ Discord Server)

The SoC Theatre is a public 16+ server for systems of color! This means only people who are bodily PoC. Discourse about alter race or whatever is not allowed, but that doesn't mean we're going to let bodily white people join. Similarly, any system discourse isn't allowed, and all of the owners are explicitly pro-endo, so please don't join if you're anti-endo!

The server has a gated lobby where you need a password to enter, as well as an opt-in vent category and a gated 18+ area. Otherwise, the server mostly exists just as a place to talk and meet other systems of color! For now, singlets of color are not allowed in the server, but questioning systems and mixed systems are.

had someone join my system server and immediately say "fuck why do all the system servers have verification. i don't got time for this shit" and then proceed to get upset when we asked them to fill out the template properly, attempt to guilt-trip myself and staff once confronted, and also fakeclaim my co-owner. they claimed they were trying to study real systems for a project. please, for the love of god, if you're going into psychology please choose a path that doesn't interact with patients if that's your attitude 🙏

I promise i'm safe. Even though i'm very much a fanfictive writer and not posting 24/7, I'm a real person.

My name is Raven. (No, not birth name, but chosen one.)

I'm a poly-therian and a (not diagnosed) plural system.

And I'd like to see who's interested in a Discord server.

Yes, yes, I know. Some random person in the alterhuman tags inviting people to an unknown server.

But the server itself has been made by myself and is currently being modded by myself and my best friend of over six years, Solstice. They also go by Ven.

In the server, we've got a few different spots for everyone to interact in, weather with everyone else in the general chats or in the alterhuman forum to talk about anything you wanna.

The server itself is system friendly, and open to talk about any and everything, age appropriate of course

There's plenty of reaction roles to choose from, and soon there will be a kintype/theriotype role roster up, too.

The Alterhuman SafeSpace is a personal project of my own, meant for alterhumans of any age 15+, even adults to be able to have a space to express themselves. To express ourselves.

So, yes, people 15+ and join. So can those 18+. Therianthropy doesn't stop once we turn adults, it's always there. In here, we'll be able to safely express our adult therianthropy and alterhuman identity.
