one thing i dont think we talk enough about is how pretty much every sex ed resource for lesbian teens tells them they should be open to sex with male partners

i remember being 14/15 and googling how lesbian sex worked and just being confronted with site after site telling me that lesbian sex sometimes includes a penis and it was uninclusive and closed minded to think otherwise :)))

i guarantee you no girl or woman searching for lesbian sex ed resources is looking for advice on how to blow a guy or have piv intercourse, theyre looking for advice about sexual relationships between biologically female partners

i think people underestimate how ashamed and broken it made me and other lesbians feel to read that over and over. after reading those resources i felt so hopeless that i tried to force myself to be asexual because it was the only socially acceptable way to rule out having a male partner

constantly adding these ~helpful reminders~ is like telling lesbians that they just haven't met the right guy yet, and there is no context in which they should forget it

some of these were government affiliated websites insisting that exclusive homosexuality didnt exist, or at the very least that it was unthinkable and unpeakable

its a very impactful and insidious form of homophobia

i will never forgive arcane for dropping this not-a-character-but-a-plot-device big-headed baby on jinx out of nowhere because now everyone thinks it's fine to call a 18-19 year old female character a mom and reduce her arc to being a child caretaker and say that arcane would be 10 times better if it was about t*mebomb playing parents. and what's even more tragic is that before season 2 there wasn't a single hint at the fact that jinx has any quote unquote mothetly characteristics but suddenly she's Naturally good at it without any struggles whatsoever despite her traumatic past and obvious difficulties with forming any sort of relationship. but hey. she's a woman. so obviously this would be The thing she's gonna love (which is also going to inevitably Heal her in a long run) and The thing that she's innately good at. no experience required

what they dont tell you is that even if you dont want to be a guy, you can try testosterone any ways, if you would like cute handsome tomboyish or androgynous features. even if you are a cis butch lesbian or completely unaligned nonbinary person you might like it. just do the research first naturally yknow? like a lot of research so you dont flip out on trans people if you end up not being a fan lol

oh no we don't *actually* resurrect dead people against their will. these are just wisps who have no prior memory of being a sentient being. skeletons are just empty vessels because the essence of that person left so it's not actually questionable for us to use people's remains. also people fill out consent forms to be resurrected and used in the ghoulag. also yes only good people can become a lich because the lichlords - that we somehow have now - do some serious soul sifting and ONLY the people with good intentions - like reading books for the rest of all eternity - are allowed to become a lich. no emmrich having a little skeleton servant isn't unethical because he wasn't a person before, he was a wisp - you know our new ex machina - and he really wanted to be a necromancers servant and learn and it was HIS choice all along.

because we at bioware are all about informed and consensual necromancy because why would we have something morally ambiguous going on? or even actually question the ethics of our companions? have challenging discussions about morals? what do you expect us to do? make things actually interesting?

Trent is a great character specifically because he tries so hard to seem put together and is still a complete fucking disaster. Like I didn't really get the appeal of him until the scene where we see him lock himself out of his own car. And then I was like yeah okay I get it

It’s me (again lol), I was wondering about Whorlstar. I really like her, but I feel like we don’t know much about her past in Oakclan. Would it be okay if I asked about it?

Humm yeah sure! I haven't thought too deeply about her time in Oakclan but these are things that are confirmed true to me

She doesn't have any family there, and was likely adopted into the clan as a young cat (This is why she is lenient on letting rogues/kittypets of any age join)

She was a pretty respected warrior from a young age, always more serious and reliable than her peers so she got leaned on a lot

Despite this she was never trusted much by Palestar, probably bc she wasn't clanborn (he has really relaxed his opinion on this now, but Oakclan used to be pretty conservative). So even though she by all rights Should have been deputy, she wasn't

She invited literally everyone from Oakclan to come with her, but nearly all of them were too nervous to leave and thought she'd gone bonkers. Most of them regretted not following her afterward though and she still is wondered about like a kind of legend in Oakclan
