after hours | an after hours moment with takeda.
takeda ittetsu x reader (fem) 1.3k words / ao3 content: smut, whiny whimpering takeda, blow jobs, teasing, some begging, one line of praise, semi-public setting note: i need to fuck this man so bad
Tumblr media
“o-oh.”
a hand fists into the material of the shirt covering your shoulder, clenching so hard his knuckles turn white. a heavy, breathy whine slips through his lips, forearm draped over his eyes.
takeda can’t stop the way his hips roll into the heat of your mouth. he’s panting now, fingers digging into your skin, legs spreading a little wider.
you shouldn’t be doing this here, not when anyone still around could wander in. and that’s what he thinks is going to happen, that someone is going to walk in and see you on your knees with his cock down your throat.
“wait,” he chokes, hand moving up to curl around your neck, thumb tracing along the length of your throat. “‘s too much. . .”
pulling away with a pop, you look up at him with amusement swimming in your eyes, his wrecked appearance had heat swimming in your gut, pulling at your insides. “what’s wrong, takeda?” you tease, tongue dipping into his slit, swallowing down the pre that spills forth.
“s-stop—if you keep this up . . . “ a damn near sob spills past his lips, cock twitching in your grasp. he thinks he could cum just like this, with your tongue lapping at his head like it was a lollipop.
“what?” you purr, fingers tightening around the base of his cock, keeping him still as your tongue continues its teasing licks. you revel in his helpless little sounds. “gonna cum?”
“yes, god, yes.”
he makes the mistake of looking down at you, air catching in his lungs when he meets your gaze, his eyes rolling when you engulf his head once more, suckling.
you think he looks the prettiest like this—glasses askew and sliding down the sweaty bridge of his nose, a pink flush dusting his face down to his neck. his lips are parted and swollen from where he’s bitten into them, little breathy noises slipping past them.
his hand comes up, middle finger pushing his glasses up only for them to slide down once more. “w-we shouldn’t be doing this, someone’s going to see.” and you pull away again, rolling your eyes while slapping his cock against the flat of your tongue.
he nearly swears, yet can’t stop the way he guides your lips along his length once more, choking out a moan when you hollow your cheeks, taking him in til your nose is brushing his pubic hair, the coarse strands tickling your face.
he could feel the band in his gut drawing tighter the longer you continued to pleasure him with your mouth, thighs tensing as more pre dribbles down the back of your throat. his hand finds purchase in your hair, grasping the roots, while the other grips the edge of his chair, teeth clenching.
every suck sends pleasure shooting up his spine, his body trembling, leaving him helpless in the chair. a particular hard suck has him jerking forward, folding over you, his stomach clenches, panting breaths hot against the top of your head, disrupting your hair. “ f-fuck, i’m so close—”
hearing him swear as he gets closer and closer to orgasm has your eyes rolling, hands tracing patterns into his clothed thighs, head bobbing along his length. drool spills past your stretched lips, trailing down your chin and dripping in his lap.
“i-i can’t. . .” he groans, fingers tightening in your hair, his grip on the chair causing it to creak. within the warmth of your mouth, his cock throbs, nearly on the brink of unleashing. “no, no, no—” he nearly sobs when you pull back, thick strings of spit stretch from your mouth before snapping.
wiping your mouth with the back of your hand, you giggle up at him while wrapping a fist around his shaft, stroking along slowly. “wanna hear you say it, take.” you murmur, the slick sound of your hand nearly drowning out his heavy breathing. and he shudders when you squeeze his tip, a thick bead of pre dribbling out and down his length.
his mind is a muddled mess, barely registering your words, eyes locked on the way your hand works his length. “w-what?”
and you wanted to coo at the way he looked, completely wrecked —hair a mess from where he’d tugged on the strands earlier, glasses sat haphazardly on his face, and shirt and tie a complete mess. “look so pretty, take. you’re handling me so well.” you praise, and he whines, hand curling around the back of your head, trying to guide you back to his length.
“please,” he begs.
“please what? ”
“I want to cum.” takeda’s voice is a mess, a needy mess. his thighs twitch under your hands, spreading just a tad wider, almost as if begging you to swallow him down once more.
“yeah?”
takeda nods, back aching from how he’s sitting, but he needs to feel your mouth on him one more time, to feel that band inside him snap.
with slow, deliberate movements, you part your lips, your tongue drawing out to lick at his slit before taking him back in your mouth. and he nearly cums right then and there, eyes rolling til they ached, breathless moans spilling past his lips as he slumps back into the chair. “yes,” his jaw falls slack, hand resting on your neck while you bob along his length.
you wanted him to look at you when he came undone, but seeing him fall apart like this worked, too, especially knowing you were the one who made him this way.
“yes,” he’s breathless, stomach clenching tight, the heat inside of him boiling over and flooding his entire being. rolling his hips, he carefully thrusts into your mouth, wanting to reach release but not hurt you.
he felt like he was about to snap—and he did. a broken moan spills from his lips as his thighs twitch, cock pulsing within your mouth, fingers itching to push you deeper. his body trembles as he cums, creamy ropes filling your mouth while his hips jerk.
you swallow down eagerly, moaning around his length as he continues to release into your mouth. the hands on his thighs stroking up and down softly.
“oh, god,” he’s lazily thrusting now, eyes flicking down to your face, focusing on the way your eyes flutter shut while you continue to extend his orgasm, pulling every drop from him until he is a shuddering mess. his hand leaves your hair, tapping at your cheek, and your eyes open, locking on him immediately.
a breath gets caught in his chest as he notices the look in your eye. for a second there he thinks you’re going to keep going, continue pulling pleasure from him, but then you pull back with a wet schlick sound, hand coming up to replace your mouth, wanting to get the last few drops out.
“tastes so good, take.” and he swears, cock twitching, one last rope of cum spurts from his cock, painting a sticky diagonal line from your brow to your lip, a stark contrast against your skin. the sight has his hips bucking against the air, a whimper escaping his lips.
you laugh, swiping a finger through the mess on your face and bringing it to your lips, holding his gaze as you do so, and his cock jumps.
“d-don’t do that.”
“why not?” you pout.
swallowing down harshly, he hesitantly mirrors your previous movements, wiping through the cum on your face, gathering it on his thumb before sliding over your lips. your lips immediately part, sucking on the digit while your eyes shut, savoring the taste.
“oh.”
when you pull back, there’s a smirk on your face, “you were worried about getting caught, but look at you now. making a mess of me, takeda.”
“d-don’t remind me.”

Boyfriend (Takeda Ittetsu)
Takeda x Gen!Reader
<> You met when you were filling in for Ukai while he was sick in the hospital
<> Nothing serious, he just sucks at taking care of himself and his cold had gotten that bad
<> He didn't want his team to go one day without practice since some games were only days away and they still had certain plays to figure out
<> So here you come in armed with a binder and a redbull
<> Takeda was taken back when he was greeted by you instead of a tall man who smelled like cigarettes
<> Upon seeing his tired state and near exhausted eyes, you wordlessly pulled out an extra can of redbull and handed it over to him
<> You two got along well from the start
<> During the days where he shows up for practice the two of you meet up afterwards for dinner and drinks
<> Getting to know each other and making plans for the team
<> You even once stopped by his homeroom period to drop off a coffee after a night of hard drinking
<> You don't even realize you caught feelings until Ukai gets released from the hosptial and is good to start coaching again
<> You feel like the rug has been pulled from out underneath you as you placed the gym keys back into Ukai's hands
<> It wasn't like this was a permanent thing...so why did you feel this way
A knocking is what broke the quiet atmosphere that Sunday morning. You sat down your book before moving to answer the door. Takeda stood in front of you holding flowers and wearing an awkward smile.
"I um, I was wondering if you wanted to get lunch with me?" Takeda smiled boyishly while playing with the stems of the flowers. "No pressure! It's just that your amazing and beautiful and I would love for the chance to take you out." The male nervously met your eyes.
Your heart fluttered in your chest as you gently took the flowers into your hands to admire them. "I would love to." You shyly smiled at the man standing before you.

attractive things they do ; haikyuu ver . ⋆˚࿔
Tumblr media
bokuto ; doesnt know personal space or manners when it comes to you. will wave to you in the middle of a test if he sees you passing in the hallway, or will yell your name if he spots you in the cafeteria. doesn’t matter if you saw each other five minutes ago, he still greets you like you’ve been gone a year.
akaashi ; has crazy fast reflexes. despite not being as muscular as bokuto, he still never wavers whenever he catches something, as seen when he caught him after he fainted. you dont even notice you dropped something before he’s handing it back to you.
aone ; waits for you to finish talking. never cuts people off, even when they’re rambling or slow. he’ll just nod and look at you like everything you say matters. he also doesnt stutter, and takes his time to speak. you dont mind it when people stutter, but you convince yourself its because he wants to think out every word he says (to you).
futakuchi ; worst teaser to walk the earth. says “yeah? and what if i did?” and “are ya’ gonna do something about it.” more than he sees his own mother. never oversteps, and knows what specifically to not bring up, but he knows you’ll always do something about it.
koganegawa ; says everything out loud. narrates his entire life and lets people know how he’s thinking, or what he’s doing. you usually find this annoying when other people do it, but somehow hes just funny and oblivious enough for it to cancel out.
ukai ; always smells good. could smoke up a whole room and down a whole bottle of whisky in an afternoon and he’d still smell good. you can smell him even after he’s left a room, but sometimes you think its just a placebo effect. you notice whenever its missing.
takeda ; watches the credit scenes of a movie. will clap, and will talk to other people about it like its just another thing. when people ask why, he says its because ‘someone worked hard on this!’ applies to other things too, but something as small as this gets you everytime.
kiyoko ; remembers everything you say. not in a creepy way, just in a soft, careful way. the kind of person who brings up something you forgot you even told her. you’ll offhandedly mention your favorite flower and a week later she’ll give you one.
yachi ; double checks everything. did you bring your coat? do you have your wallet and keys? did you do the homework?  she’s on it. says “just in case!” with this big worried smile like she can’t help it.
alisa ; takes the best pictures. most of her pictures are candid, ones you think are ugly but she’ll cherish like its made of pure gold. she rarely asks you to pose for a picture, but she always makes sure you look good. you almost never notice when she has her camera out until she tags you in a post later that night.
akane ; always has two extra hair ties. you never notice, because she always has her hair up, until alisa asks for it and you ask her why she has so many. she doesnt answer you, but you find out its because no one ever had hairties strong enough to hold her hair properly, so she makes sure no one else has that problem. not that youlll ever let her know you know this, of course.
konoha ; mimics people without realizing. picks up their slang, their hand gestures, the way they write their &s and ?s. whenever someone brings it up, he pretends not to notice because he’s too embarrassed.
terushima ; stupidly smart. you hate it, how he’s not a high honors student, but a highest honors student, and has been for years. you never see him study, never see him struggle, and never even hear him talk about school outside of class, but he’s never had anything lower than a 90 on anything.
daisho ; always knows what you mean. when you’re struggling with words, he knows exactly what youre going to say before you even think of it. you usually hate it when other people do it because theyre almost always wrong, but he somehow knows what you mean every single time.
sakusa ; walks on the outside of the sidewalk. doesnt care about the sidewalk rule, doesnt care if the person/people hes walking with are 10x stronger and bigger than him. doesnt mention it, does it naturally, and if you purposely switch it, he’ll switch it back without you even noticing.
komori ; makes a big deal about small wins. big believer in ‘a little is better than nothing’. even if its something as simple like doing your bed or doing the dishes, he’ll grin and congratulate you anyway.

𝐇𝐚𝐢𝐤𝐲𝐮𝐮 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐭. 𝟏 ~!
This is a repost from my current one because I wasn't so satisfied of the format hehehe. I'll start with my Karasuno babies first and I'll proceed with the rest. ( • ̀ω•́ )✧
Tumblr media
જ⁀➴ ♡ Hinata Shoyo - 𝖲𝗎𝗇𝗌𝗁𝗂𝗇𝖾 𝗑 𝖦𝗋𝗎𝗆𝗉𝗒 ── .✦ Evidently, Hinata is someone that brings light into the grumpy one’s world, while they help ground him. His bright, passionate, and determined personality shapes romantic dynamics.
જ⁀➴ ♡ Kageyama Tobio - 𝖤𝗆𝗈𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇𝖺𝗅𝗅𝗒 𝖼𝗈𝗇𝗌𝗍𝗂𝗉𝖺𝗉𝗍𝖾𝖽 ── .✦ As seen in the anime, Kageyama is terrible at expressing feelings. He easily gets flustered when someone compliments him—he might even panic when he realizes he likes someone. Cue awkward confessions, internal freak-outs, and unintentionally cute moments like giving sports drinks as a love language.
જ⁀➴ ♡ Tsukishima Kei - 𝖸𝗈𝗎'𝗋𝖾 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗈𝗇𝗅𝗒 𝖾𝗑𝖼𝖾𝗉𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇 ── .✦ Tsukishima is someone who’s sarcastic, built with high walls, and carefully hidden emotions. He hates being close to people. But you? You're the one person he lets in. The one who gets real answers when everyone else gets sarcasm. It’s intimate, rare, and special—and you know it.
જ⁀➴ ♡ Yamaguchi Tadashi - 𝖨𝗇𝗌𝖾𝖼𝗎𝗋𝖾 𝖻𝗎𝗍 𝗍𝗋𝗒𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗁𝗂𝗌 𝖻𝖾𝗌𝗍 ── .✦ Yamaguchi struggles with confidence. That’s where he falls for someone who believes in him, even before he believes in himself, which is soft and healing. He will fall for someone who will help him believe that he’s enough.
જ⁀➴ ♡ Sugawara Koushi - 𝖤𝗆𝗈𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇𝖺𝗅 𝗌𝖺𝖿𝖾 𝗁𝖺𝗏𝖾𝗇 ── .✦ He’s someone you go to when everything feels too much. With his big heart and calm demeanor—the acting mother of the group who usually takes care of everyone—Suga is the guy who pulls you into his arms after a long day, listens without judgment, and reminds you you're doing your best.
જ⁀➴ ♡ Sawamura Daichi - 𝖣𝗈𝗆𝖾𝗌𝗍𝗂𝖼 𝖽𝖺𝖽-𝖾𝗇𝖾𝗋𝗀𝗒 𝗋𝗈𝗆𝖺𝗇𝖼𝖾 ── .✦ You go on and tell me that Daichi does NOT have dad vibes. Daichi already feels like someone’s future husband ngl. (won't be too surprised if he’s one of the married in the time-skip). He’s the type of guy who cooks breakfast, remembers to do the laundry, and holds your hand at the grocery store.
જ⁀➴ ♡ Azumane Asahi - 𝖲𝗁𝗒 𝖻𝗎𝗍 𝗌𝗂𝗇𝖼𝖾𝗋𝖾 ── .✦ He’s painfully awkward around his crush at first—blushing, fumbling words, avoiding eye contact—but means every single thing he says. Asahi’s natural shyness makes slow-burn confessions so satisfying.
જ⁀➴ ♡ Tanaka Ryunosuke - 𝖢𝗅𝖺𝗌𝗌/𝗀𝗋𝗈𝗎𝗉 𝖼𝗅𝗈𝗐𝗇 𝗀𝖾𝗍𝗌 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗀𝗂𝗋𝗅 ── .✦ He’s always joking, always loud—but when he falls in love, he’s unexpectedly tender. Tanaka's humor masks surprising emotional intelligence. I'm pretty sure that when he’s with his love interest, he listens more, jokes less, and loves harder than anyone. One thing that actually proves this is his marriage with Kiyoko in the timeskip.
જ⁀➴ ♡ Nishinoya Yuu - 𝖫𝗈𝗎𝖽 𝖻𝗈𝗒 𝖿𝖺𝗅𝗅𝗌 𝖿𝗂𝗋𝗌𝗍 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝖿𝖺𝗅𝗅𝗌 𝗁𝖺𝗋𝖽𝖾𝗋 ── .✦ He develops a massive crush on you first and is completely transparent about it—flirting, complimenting, and trying to impress you constantly (the way he did with Kiyoko). Noya is nothing if not expressive. It’s adorable when his love interest takes time to catch up while he’s already picking out baby names in his head.
જ⁀➴ ♡ Takeda Ittetsu - 𝖮𝗏𝖾𝗋𝗅𝗒 𝗌𝗎𝗉𝗉𝗈𝗋𝗍𝗂𝗏𝖾 𝖻𝗈𝗒𝖿𝗋𝗂𝖾𝗇𝖽 ── .✦ Let’s be fr here, he’s already supportive with his team, what makes you any different? He gives his all especially to the person he loves—even when he has nothing left to give. He’s the person who’s always in your corner. He cheers for you even when you doubt yourself. He’s also very observant, he remembers your coffee order, your important meetings, your worries. Loves out loud, with patience and warmth.
જ⁀➴ ♡ Keishin Ukai - 𝖢𝗈𝗇𝖿𝗂𝖽𝖾𝗇𝗍 𝗐𝗂𝗍𝗁 𝖺 𝗌𝗂𝖽𝖾 𝗈𝖿 𝗌𝖾𝗅𝖿-𝖽𝗈𝗎𝖻𝗍 ── .✦ On the surface, Uaki is confident in his ability to lead and charm. However, once he starts developing feelings for someone, he might get hit with a bit of self-doubt. "Am I good enough for you?"—that might be a thought that crosses his mind more than he’d ever admit. His cool exterior starts to crack around someone he really likes. He'll second-guess his actions, unsure if he’s doing too much or not enough. “I want to be the person you can count on. I just hope I don’t mess it up.”

You adjusted your uniform for what felt like the sixth time that morning, glancing at your reflection in the school bathroom mirror. With a held breath, you stepped back into the empty hallway, checking once more the paper in your hand with precise directions to the teachers’ lounge. There, you were supposed to meet Professor Ittetsu Takeda for a brief tour of Karasuno High.
You stopped in front of the door and, after taking a deep breath, knocked a couple of times. The door opened, revealing a tired-looking woman who lowered her gaze when she saw you.
"Yes?" she asked, her expression somewhat neutral.
"Excuse me, is Professor Takeda here?" you asked, hesitating slightly as your fingers played with the Sanrio keychain hanging from the strap of your bag, trying to calm your nerves.
Before the woman could respond, a young man with a friendly appearance, wearing glasses and a green tracksuit, appeared suddenly and offered you a small bow.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Takeda-sensei. I’m really grateful that you’re giving me this tour,” you said with a calm voice.
"The pleasure is mine!" Takeda responded enthusiastically. "Karasuno High is a special place, and I’m sure you’ll feel welcome here. Are you ready for the tour?"
“Yes, sensei,” you replied with a smile, feeling your nerves start to fade, thanks to the professor's warmth.
Takeda nodded, giving you a brief summary of the various spaces you’d visit as you walked down the school’s hallways. The tour would start at the main facilities and finish at the gym. As you walked, he explained the structure of the school’s clubs and the steps to take if you were interested in joining one.
“Do you have a music club?” you asked, quickening your pace to keep up with him. Your old school didn’t have such a club, so you hoped to find one at Karasuno.
Takeda paused briefly, adjusting his glasses before replying.
“I can’t say for sure,” he answered, thoughtful. “Last year we had a music club, but it was quite small, and I’m not sure if it will continue this year.” He opened one of the exit doors and, gesturing with his hand, invited you to go first. “Do you like music? Do you play an instrument?”
“Yes!” you replied enthusiastically, your eyes lighting up as you spoke. “I’ve been playing the piano since I was eight.”
As you moved through the hall, you shared with Takeda-sensei how your interest in music began. You talked about the hours spent practicing, the recitals, and how the piano had given you a personal refuge and a means of expression.
“That’s admirable, Y/N,” said Takeda with a genuine smile as he listened to your story. “Just one last stop,” he added before stopping. “Well, here we are. This is the gym. Impressive, isn’t it?”
“Wow…” you murmured as you entered, taking in the vast space, much larger than anything you’d seen at your previous school. “It’s amazing.”
Takeda nodded, visibly pleased with your reaction.
“That’s right. This is where the volleyball team trains and plays their matches,” he said, crossing his arms over his chest as he looked around the space. “You might even get a chance to see them in action one day.”
The suggestion piqued your curiosity. You’d heard of Karasuno’s volleyball team’s reputation and began to imagine the vibrant energy and excitement during their matches.
“Well, that’s all for today,” Takeda concluded, turning to you with a kind expression. “I hope the tour helped you get a little more familiar with the school. If you have any other questions or need help, don’t hesitate to find me.”
You returned his smile, feeling that the warm environment of the school had started to dispel your initial nerves. As you left the gym and bid farewell to Takeda-sensei, you truly felt welcome at Karasuno, certain that this was the beginning of a new chapter full of possibilities.
Tumblr media
The persistent sound of the alarm clock echoed through your room, abruptly pulling you out of sleep. You sat up quickly, the excitement of your first day at the new school banishing any trace of drowsiness. You dressed hurriedly, making sure every detail was in place, and dashed downstairs, almost skipping, arriving at the kitchen where your mother was finishing preparing breakfast.
“Mom, breakfast!” you said, leaning against the counter with an expectant smile.
“Here you go,” your mother replied, carefully placing the breakfast into your bag. She then moved closer, bending slightly to adjust your uniform and gently fix your hair. “Do you want me to take you to school?”
“No, thanks, I’ll walk,” you said, giving her a kiss on the cheek as a goodbye.
With the key safely tucked in your skirt pocket, you left the house and began walking uphill toward the school. As you plugged your headphones into your phone, you let the first chords of your favorite song fill your ears, creating a small bubble of tranquility around you.
Suddenly, a sharp voice cut through the music in your headphones.
“Watch out!”
Startled, you looked up just in time to see a boy on a bicycle speeding toward you. With quick reflexes, you stepped out of the way, feeling the rush of air as he zoomed past you.
“Sorry!” the boy shouted as he continued pedaling, not slowing down.
“Idiot…” you muttered, irritated, as you returned your attention to your phone to change the music. With a sigh, you decided to let the small incident go and focus on the rest of your walk. The morning was still young, and in the air, you felt a mix of nerves and excitement about what the day would bring in this new chapter of your life.
You entered the classroom and chose a desk near the window, from where you could observe your new classmates as they settled in. The atmosphere quickly filled with conversations and laughter, with several students starting to form groups and chat enthusiastically. You found yourself wishing for the same, repeating to yourself that you would make friends eventually, as you watched more classmates enter and take their seats.
Soon after, the teacher entered the room and began writing some instructions on the board before turning to the group.
"Alright, everyone, split into groups of three to start today’s activity," she announced energetically, leaving the chalk on her desk.
You frowned as you looked around, aware that you didn’t know anyone yet. You hoped someone would invite you to join a group, fearing you'd end up alone while the others formed their teams.
"Hey... hey, you," a voice called out toward you.
You turned your head to see a short boy with orange hair and a friendly smile. He was extending his hand toward you, and as you looked at him more closely, you immediately recognized him as the same boy who had almost run you over with his bicycle that morning.
"Do you want to team up with me?" he asked with an upbeat expression.
You hesitated for a moment, but quickly realized you didn’t have many options.
"Sure," you agreed, trying to hide your surprise.
The boy’s face lit up as if he had just won a prize. Without hesitation, he moved his desk next to yours and sat down, showing the same energy he had earlier.
"I’m Shoyo Hinata!" he introduced himself enthusiastically. "And you?"
His energy was contagious, and although you started the conversation with some reservation, you couldn’t help but smile at his friendliness.
"I’m Y/N Y/LN," you replied, noticing that despite the morning mishap, the idea of having such an enthusiastic and friendly partner wasn’t so bad.
Hinata, moving energetically in his seat, looked at you with a wide smile.
"It’s a pleasure. I saw you this morning on your way to school," he said, his enthusiasm palpable. "I almost ran you over, I'm really sorry."
He looked slightly embarrassed by the confession, but the sincerity in his tone made you feel like there was no ill intent.
"It’s okay, it was my fault," you replied, trying to reassure him. You saw him relax as the excitement returned to his eyes. However, his expression soon turned thoughtful.
"Hey, Hinata, we still need one more person," you commented, remembering that the group needed to have three members.
"Right!" he exclaimed quickly, looking around the classroom with anxiety before pointing to a girl at the back of the class, her black hair falling in soft waves over her shoulders as she fiddled with her phone. "How about we ask her?"
You looked at the girl he had pointed to. She seemed completely absorbed in her screen, not paying much attention to the commotion around her.
"Of course, why not?" you replied, determined. You had nothing to lose.
Hinata, with resolve, stood up from his seat with a confident smile and quickly made his way to the girl. It was clear that he wasn’t the type to hesitate or hold back for too long. You watched him as he approached and said something you couldn’t hear. After a couple of brief exchanges, the girl looked up, seemed to think about it for a moment, and finally nodded.
Hinata returned to your side, accompanied by the girl, who sat down at the empty desk in front of you.
"Nice to meet you, I’m Nakamura Nayuta," she said with a shy smile, introducing herself politely.
When the teacher saw the group was complete, she began explaining the instructions for the activity. As the class went on, the three of you began to share details about yourselves. It turned out that none of you had ever been to Karasuno before, which gave you another point of connection. When the activity ended, you decided to keep talking and get to know each other better.
"Ahh, Nayuta-san, do you like volleyball?" Hinata asked enthusiastically, pointing to the background on Nayuta's phone, where volleyball player Ishikawa Yūki appeared.
"No," Nayuta replied distractedly, without taking her eyes off her phone.
"What? But you have a volleyball player as your wallpaper!" Hinata looked genuinely surprised, almost disappointed by the answer. Then, with his eyes shining with excitement, he turned to you. "And you, Y/N-san? What do you think of volleyball?"
"No, I’m not very good at playing, I prefer music," you confessed, doodling on the corner of Nayuta’s notebook with your pen. You couldn’t help but feel a bit of sympathy for Hinata, with his energy so contagious.
Hinata, seeing that neither of you shared his enthusiasm for volleyball, felt a little discouraged but quickly composed himself. "I love volleyball!" he said with a wide smile, his eyes shining with determination. "And I plan to become the next star of Karasuno."
"Aren’t you a little short to play volleyball?" Nayuta asked, still not looking away from her phone. The question, delivered with unsettling calm, made Hinata’s shoulders drop slightly. As for you, you couldn’t help but stifle a small laugh at your new friend’s direct comment.
Hinata, however, didn’t lose his composure. "Yes, but I'll be as cool as the Little Giant," he said, regaining his enthusiasm. With a defiant attitude, he crossed his arms over his chest, as if he could already visualize his bright future.
"I’m sure you’ll make it," you replied, smiling as you looked at the passion in Hinata’s eyes. His optimism was refreshing, and his determination seemed genuine. The conversation flowed easily, and you were starting to feel like part of this small group, despite being new to the school.
Nayuta finally looked at both of you with a calm expression. "Whatever you do, I hope you have fun," she said, her words more reserved but filled with a subtle warmth.
"I’m already excited to join the volleyball team!" Hinata exclaimed with enthusiasm, quickly packing his school materials into his bag. "What about you guys? Which club are you going to join?"
"I don’t know yet," you replied, briefly considering the possibilities. The music club had caught my attention, but as Takeda sensei mentioned, I wasn’t sure if it would still be offered this year. I looked at Nayuta, who, with slight indifference, shrugged.
"I’ll probably join the reading club," she said with a small smile, not offering much more.
The bell rang, signaling the end of the class, and the students began to get up from their seats and leave the classroom. Nayuta quietly said her goodbyes, heading toward her next destination. Hinata, on the other hand, wasted no time and turned to me with a look full of enthusiasm.
"Let’s go, Y/N! Come with me to the gym, maybe something will catch your eye and you'll join," he said, making an animated gesture with his hands. His energy was contagious, and I couldn’t help but smile at his excitement. Seeing my hesitation, he added with an even more pleading tone: "Please!"
I felt a bit embarrassed by the way he asked me to join him, but in the end, I accepted with a slight smile. "Alright, alright," I replied, feeling the warmth in my cheeks as I noticed some people in the hallways staring at us curiously due to Hinata's commotion.
"Yes! Wait here, I’ll change first!" he exclaimed, almost shouting, before running off toward the boys’ bathroom.

setting the past (part one/ prologue)
ukai x reader.
wc: 837
synopsis: you coach a volleyball team, one of the best in the country known for having mostly recruited players. you take pride in the fact that you have led your team to win a national championship title. And with the news of the rising team karasuno, your interest is piqued, mainly because that was your old school. you had known that they were nicknamed the "fallen crows" and such, so hearing about their fast improvement you decide you want to see it for yourself. you call up the school and takeda picks up. you organize a practice match for later that week.
but what you don't realize is that their coach is your highschool ex.
a/n: woohoo finally finished part one of idk how many. i haven't written since my wattpad days and i have so many good ideas for this fic so i hope y'all enjoy this. i just need to like collect my thoughts and put them in order because thinking about the plot my brain goes like 100 mph but then when i actually have to write it, suddenly im illiterate.
anyways enjoy this!!
masterlist
Once practice concluded, and the clatter of equipment being stowed away subsided, the Karasuno boys formed a line in front of Ukai and Takeda, anticipating any last-minute announcements before dispersing.
".. and make sure you're eating well and getting enough rest. That's all I have to say for today," Ukai stated firmly, his arms crossed as he surveyed the team.
Takeda cleared his throat, drawing the attention of the eager players. "Yes, indeed. I know this is short notice, but the coach from Kozue Highschool reached out for a practice match later this week, and I accepted."
"HUH?" The boys chorused in a mix of surprise and excitement. A practice match against the reigning national champions was unexpected, to say the least.
"Didn't they win nationals last year?" Daichi questioned, his brows furrowing with intrigue.
"Did they? I'm not sure but you know more than I do." Takeda replies with a smile. "But apparently, their coach is an alumna of Karasuno," He glances at Ukai. "Y/N, I believe? Do you know her? She might be from the same graduating class as you"
Ukai's reaction to your name didn't escape notice. He knew exactly who you were—the pride of Japan's under-19 women's team and, to add a twist, his high school sweetheart.
"Yeah, I know her," Ukai replied, turning to the players. "That means this won't be an easy match. Not only because Kozue is a national champion, but also because Y/N is coaching them. She was- is one of the best womens volleyball player. So think expect nothing less from her team. Be prepared to face some formidable opponents."
"WOW! A NATIONAL CHAMPION TEAM! I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY WITH THEM!" Hinata exclaimed, his excitement palpable. "I won't lose to them!"
"Yeah, me neither," Ukai thought to himself, his expression unreadable.
After practice, as the Karasuno third years made their way home, Suga couldn't help but bring up the tension surrounding Ukai and you.
"So, Y/N is definitely Coach's ex, right?" Suga prodded, casting a knowing glance at his companions.
"Oh, absolutely," they agreed. They continued to discuss the possibilities as they walked home.
Ah, the history between you and Ukai. It was a tale of high school romance, filled with shared lunches, mutual support at games, and stolen moments in the clubroom. But graduation day shattered those dreams, as Ukai chose to explore college life, leaving you heartbroken and struggling to move on.
But some wounds never truly heal. Ukai remained a lingering presence in your thoughts, the memory of him etched into your heart as your first love, your first heartbreak.
Little did you know the storm brewing ahead as you prepared for the practice match against your alma mater, Karasuno Highschool.
The bus ride back to Miyagi was quiet, your team fast asleep behind you. As the bus slowed to a halt, you felt a surge of excitement—the familiarity of your hometown, the anticipation of facing your old school.
Karasuno High. The memories flooded back as you recognized the school's facade. Your stomach churned with excitement and nerves as you led your team off the bus.
"...twelve, thirteen, fourteen, yep! That's everyone," you counted, gently tapping your players as they stumbled out of the bus, still half-asleep.
"Why are we playing at a school two hours away again?" Haru, your team captain, yawned.
"Because, one, I used to go here back in the day, and two, I heard they're really good now. I'm excited to see what they look like. It'll be good practice," you explained, walking into the school towards the old gym where you spent multiple late nights after practice. you hear the familiar sound of volleyballs hitting the ground grow louder the more you walk toward the ajar door.
But what you didn't anticipate was a volleyball hurtling towards your face. Instinctively, you raised your arms, but it never struck you. A familiar figure stood beside you, his presence startling.
Ukai Keishin.
You were at a loss for words. It couldn't be him. Yet, there he was, saving you from a potential injury.
"Hinata, you can't be receiving like that!" Ukai's voice cut through the air, snapping you back to reality. His eyes met yours, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still.
"What are you doing here?" you managed to ask, your tone sharp, eyes narrowed.
"What does it look like, Y/N?" he retorted with a teasing smirk. "Same reason you're here, I suppose."
You couldn't believe your luck—running into your high school ex at a crucial moment. Hoping to avoid any further interaction, you turned away and made your way to your team.
"Thank you for having us here," you bowed to the Karasuno team, your voice steady despite the turmoil within. As you started stretching with your team, your mind raced, your gaze occasionally drifting to Ukai. Your usual composure faltered, and your team couldn't help but notice.
This practice was shaping up to be far more challenging than you had hoped.

Karasuno High, A Mockumentary
Tumblr media
When you’re the third manager of Karasuno’s boys’ volleyball team, there’s only so much patience you can have surrounded by a bunch of teenage boys. Of course, you didn’t originally imagine spending your free time managing this team, but hey, you wouldn’t want it any other way.
A fanfic in which the events of Haikyuu are represented as if it were filmed like The Office with confessionals and everything.
A/N: When I tell you this idea came to me while I was watching Trin’s skits on TikTok it was actually insane. As always…. Y/N is a black queen. Proceed!!! [//] means the start and end of a confessional beeteebubs. More tags will be added the further we go!! Slow updates because.... guys I'm unmedicated and in a weird period of life rn el oh el! Check out my AO3 if you wanna read my other stuff! 🙀
Season 1: Episode 2 - [Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and Nose Bleeds]
Tumblr media
[//]
Takeda held his hand up to block the sun from getting in his glasses. “L/N’s taken to being manager really well,” Takeda smiled, albeit wearily. “Like… very well.” He said as he held his clipboard. He glanced back at the gym, hearing the shouting and hollering from inside of it. He let out a nervous laugh. “SENSEI!” A voice screamed out. “A little too well,” Takeda murmured. “She’s like a mini Ukai, it… it terrifies me.” He said before he turned to open the gym doors.
[//]
You chewed on your gum as you flipped through Shimizu’s notes. “Don’t call for Mr. Takeda, now! Shimizu said your hits were shaky! So we finna make something shake forreal.” You called out to Asahi as he had his hands on his knees, panting for air. “By having the team spike balls at me?! What is this??” He cried out. “Hey, it’s not that bad!” Sugawara laughed as he tossed up the ball with an outside set. “Yeah! This is lightwork!” Ennoshita called out as he ran up, jumped, and spiked the ball over the net. “Jesus Christ, wait!” Asahi cried out, the ball whizzing past him. Nishinoya rolled and dived, digging the ball causing it to shoot back up in the air. “All for you, Big Guy!” Nishinoya laughed loudly. “This is not fun!” Asahi exclaimed as he ran up, jumped, and spiked the ball as hard as he could out of frustration. “Oh shit, wait, heads up, Kageyama!” You called out. The ball shot like a cannon over the net, nailing Kageyama right in the nose before he could even react fast enough. If the ball had an effect, it’d be like straight fire. “GUH!” Kageyama choked out as he stumbled to the ground. Asahi covered his mouth. “Oh my god,” He exclaimed. Narita and Kinoshita hooked their arms around Kageyama, keeping him upright. Daichi stared at Kageyama with a wince before looking back at Asahi. Sugawara extended his arms out to the side, his palms facing the ground. “Safe!” He called out. Takeda pinched his nose bridge. “My god, please, take 5. Kageyama, come with me.” Takeda murmured as Narita and Kinoshita looked at each other before guiding a now bleeding Kageyama to Takeda. “I’m so sorry!” Asahi exclaimed, rushing over to follow them. You winced before glancing at the camera. “Yeouch.” You mouthed at the camera.
[//]
“I take it back. It’s not nice having L/N as a manager anymore.” Kageyama muttered as he held an icepack over his nose. “Are you okay?” One of the crew asked off-screen. He stared at them with a sour expression. “No.” He said.  “My nose hurts.” He said bluntly.
[//]
“At least it was a strong hit?” You laughed nervously. “A strong hit directly into Kageyama’s face.” Daichi crossed his arms. “Sorry? At least I gave him a heads up?” You said. “I fear you already traumatized Asahi and Kageyama badly enough. I don’t think a heads up will undo it,” Ennoshita laughed slightly as he pinched your cheek. “Great first day as manager, L/N.” Sugawara cooed. “Oh, cut me some slack, how was I supposed to know Asahi was gonna fuckin’ turbo cannon blast Kageyama in the nose?! I’m a manager, not a professional clairvoyant.” You sputtered, standing up. There was no way you were gonna be the main culprit for the crime! You were merely the kid at the computer doing all the hacking in a dark room as you told your agent (Asahi) to get into the field correctly (hitting the ball stronger). You didn’t know there’d be any casualties!
“I think we all suspected it, though,” Tsukishima said. “Tsuki, shut up or I’ll make you do burpees.” You groaned. “You can’t make me do that.” He snorted. “I’m your manager, of course I can.” You said. “Manager. Not monarch, get it right, idiot.” He cocked his head. “Ooh, that sounded real bratty! Can your hands back it up?” You narrowed your eyes. He simply held his hands up. “Ooooookay, Abby Lee Miller, let’s dial it back a bit.” Sugawara laughed, grabbing your shoulders. “Smell the flowers, diva, be calm, like Daichi says.” He cooed, massaging your shoulders. “At least it wasn’t Yamaguchi.” He said. “What?!” Yamaguchi sputtered. “You throw up one time during suicides and suddenly everyone’s never done it before! Nishinoya-senpai puked last week and it was bright red!” He whined, pointing at the shorter boy who was laying on his stomach while kicking his feet in the air. The camera panned over to him. “Is bro code non-existent now?!” Nishinoya exclaimed as he pushed himself to sit up on his knees. “He queened out on too many flamin’ hot Cheetos.” You giggled.
[//]
“Okay, so yeah, eating like… two bags of flamin’ hot Cheetos as breakfast from the school vending machine wasn’t a good idea. But hey! It was 467 yen, you’d do it too if your allowance didn’t come in yet!” He exclaimed, holding up his arms. “Isn’t onigiri like… 389 yen?” A crew member asked. His cheeks flushed. “...yeah…” He murmured before groaning loudly. “Okayyyy! I was just craving them so bad. My mom banned me from havin’ them at home, so I rushed to school early so I could buy extra and shove ‘em down my gullet before morning practice.” He whined. “But you threw up?” They asked. “And did! So what if I dived to dig the ball and immediately vomited on impact? I’d do it again if I could taste that spice again.” He sighed, already dreaming about another bag of Cheetos.
[//]
“I thought you were banned from eating them by your mom and Coach Ukai?” Hinata asked. “Hey, this is L/N’s in trouble time! Focus on her.” Nishinoya whined. “Oh, you’re a sellout.” You frowned. “For a bag of FHC’s? And is!” He exclaimed. “You have an addiction and it should be addressed today, senpai,” Tsukishima said. “Oh, boohoo,” Nishinoya rolled his eyes. “Back to you, L/N, let’s… dial it back a bit.” Daichi sighed. “Daichi, this blows, it’s not like I spiked the ball!” You whined. “But you told him to.” He said. “He could’ve said no! This is a somewhat free country!” You reasoned. Daichi stared at you unimpressed. “I’ll do the laps.” You muttered. He smiled before patting your shoulders. “Glad we came to a conclusion.” He cooed.
[----------------------------------------------]
Takeda came back into the gym with Kageyama, Narita, Kinoshita, and Asahi in tow with a stunned expression. “Another lap! C’mon!” Daichi called out as you let out a loud wail. “This fuckin’ sucks, I’m not even on the team forreal!” You exclaimed as you ran to the other side of the gym. “What lap number are you on?” Daichi asked. “Girl, I don’t know, I lost count after 6!” You whined. “You’re doin’ great, honey!” Sugawara laughed. “You’re on lap 9,” Tanaka called out. “You have 7 laps left,” Tsukishima grinned. “What the fuckkkkkkkk!” You dragged out as you ran down the court. “What’s…. What’s going on?” Takeda muttered. “Oh, sensei, we’re making L/N do laps as punishment for causing Asahi to spike the ball at Kageyama. 15 laps since Kageyama’s 15 years old,” Daichi hummed. Takeda stared at him before blinking. “If that’s the case, shouldn’t Sugawara and Ennoshita do the laps as well? They set and served the ball to him.” Takeda asked. “Damn,” Tanaka snorted as the mentioned pair looked at each other. “Ah,” Daichi muttered. “Bring that ass on the fucking court!” You yelled out as you panted by the wall. “Goddamnit.” Sugawara groaned as Ennoshita simply sighed, put his water bottle down, and started his laps. “Can we negotiate?” Sugawara asked. “Sugawara,” Takeda said before Sugawara rolled his eyes and ran onto the court. “I… I think I should do the laps too.” Asahi frowned before jogging onto the court. “At this point, it’s just suicide drills,” Narita muttered. “Shut up, don’t give them any ideas,” Kinoshita muttered, elbowing him. Kageyama held onto his ice pack. “I want a snack.” He mumbled. “I know. I want one too.” Takeda sighed.
[//]
Ukai took his lit cigarette (which was again, censored out) out of his mouth, holding it between his two fingers. “You pick up an extra shift at the convenience store once and suddenly,” Ukai holds up his fingers. “Someone gets a ball to the face,” A finger goes down. “L/N becomes a tyrant,” Another one. “Four people are doing laps,” Another one. “And the flamin’ hot Cheeto incident was mentioned,” A last finger goes down. “I can’t with these kids, like actually, who raised them? Sure as hell wasn’t me.” He said. “I can’t leave them for longer than a couple of hours at most before they start falling apart. I’ve already gotten at least 6 texts from Ittetsu in the past half hour.” Ukai pulled out his phone. He unlocked it.
“L/N’s being like a mini you, she’s running this practice like the military,”
“Keishin, Asahi spiked a ball to Kageyama’s face, I’m taking him to the nurse,”
“L/N, Ennoshita, Sugawara, and Asahi have been subjected to running 15 laps in honor of Kageyama,”
“They’re making fun of Nishinoya and the flaming hot Cheeto thing, please come back,”
“Last night was so good, I can’t stop– oop, too far.” Ukai cleared his throat as he quickly turned off his phone, slipping it back to his pocket. “Uhh, Ukai?” A crew member murmured. “Cut that shit out,” Ukai muttered before taking a drag of his cigarette. He blew out the smoke as he looked away, his cheeks flushing. “I ain’t talkin’ about it. This never happened.” He coughed out. “Right,” A crew member said. “Right,” Ukai repeated. He sniffled as he glanced at the camera. “So what now? My break ends in like…” He looked at his watch. “10 minutes and I wanna finish this cig before I get back to work.” He said.
“Nothing else, thanks, Ukai.” A crew member laughed tiredly.
[//]
Takeda’s cheeks flushed as he looked at his phone before shoving it back in his pocket, clearing his throat. “Alright, everyone, we have our first training camp tomorrow. Be here at 5 am, sharp, okay?” Takeda said. “We set up the gym and warm up properly before Nekoma comes, got it?” He asked, looking at the team of teenagers who were sitting on the floor. “Got it!” They all chimed in. “Girls, I need you three here by 5:30. Please bring up the water bottles and packed lunches, okay?” He asked, glancing back at you, Yachi, and Shimizu. You nodded. “Got it,” You all said.
[//]
“There are three things I know about Nekoma.” You started, “They played us like a fiddle last year, their team is crazy good, and…” You trailed off. You leaned closer to the camera. “There’s like three fine-ass players on that team. One of them is black like me! Kai, if you’re watching, please King, follow me back on Instagram, I beg.” You whispered as you clasped your hands together.
“I know their captain, Kuroo. He’s actually like… pretty nice. I swore last year, I hated his guts but now, I think he’s pretty cute. But do you know who’s really cute? Kenma.” You said. “Hello? He’s so adorable. We bonded over video games and stuff. We text pretty often. I actually…” You trailed off, letting out a laugh. You took out your phone. “I’m actually in a group chat with mad different people from different schools. Kuroo, Kenma and Kai are all in it. There’s mainly people from Fukurodani and Aoba Johsai.” You giggled as you scrolled through the Instagram group chat. You sighed happily. “They’re all so fine, y’all.” You said.
“L/N,” The crew member said. “Hey, let a girl drool over some cute boys! It’s not like I’m gonna date any of them. I got too much on my plate to be worrying about whether or not I need to take a train to Tokyo to see my alleged boyfriend. Besides, my boys are already enough for me. I would not be able to juggle a boyfriend and being manager of Karasuno. It’s like all of them are my boyfriends, y’know?” You sighed. “And my wives…” You cooed. “Shimizu and Yachi are the only ones I need,” You said. “Anyways, anyways, tomorrow, Nekoma’s coming, and trust, they’ll be dealt with.” You grinned, crossing your arms. “L/N, you done yet?! I wanna go home!” Tanaka called out. You turned around. “Yeah, just a minute!” You yelled back. You turned back to the camera, rolling your eyes. “Men.” You muttered.

Lavender Detangler
Tumblr media
image was taken from @ hankaashi on pinterest
Synopsis: You are Nishinoya's older sister, the fearless, confident, and reliable manager... except when faced with your feelings with the team ace. As both of your high school years are going to be coming to a close, will one of you be able to say something about how you feel? Who will overcome their nerves first?
Warnings: reader has she/her pronouns, reader is described as being short because she's nishinoya's sister, language, karasuno being chaotic, season 4 spoilers, tooth-rotting fluff.
Author's Note: My old Asahi fic, as promised. This one is a bit longer and used to be on my old wattpad account some time ago. Asahi is one of my favorite hq characters, literally my baby. This one is pure fluff, and is a bit on the longer side. Also, this fic takes place during the events of season 4 so there are some spoilers in that sense, but nothing too major. Enjoy lovelies <3
Word Count: ~ 6.9k
___________________________________________________________
They did it. In your two years of being a manager for the Karasuno boys volleyball team, you probably would have never thought that the boys would beat Shiratorizawa, much less make it to nationals. And yet, even as you stared out at the Tokyo sky on the way to the inn, even as Asahi landed that last spike to push them through to the 2nd round, you still felt that little voice whisper in your head in complete awe and disbelief.
They did it.
After the game, the Karasuno gang packed up and headed back for the inn. Most of them took a nap or stared tiredly out the window. They were all exhausted from the thrill of their first game, and they should be. They fought hard and restlessly. The boys showed everyone watching in the stands today that they didn’t come here on some fluke, they came here because they are going to win.
That’s right. The entire damn tournament.
Takeda shouted from the front, breaking you from your thoughts. “We’re here everyone!” Hinata immediately jumped up from his seat and barreled full speed toward the front. Kageyama chased after him not much longer (probably because Hinata woke him up when he started running). You chuckled at the duo and slowly got up from your own seat in the front. As everyone else piled off you began making your way toward the back. You kind of made it your own job to wake anyone up once you’ve reached the destination on road trips.
You spotted Tanaka and Yuu dozing a few seats back. You silently made your way over to them, and started to shake Tanaka.
“Tanakaaaa, wake uuuup,” you sang while shaking his shoulder. He lazily opened his eyes and let out a yawn. You then reached over to poke at Yuu’s back which was turned to you as he wrapped himself around his duffel bag. “Come on Yuu.” You didn’t have to try that hard with Yuu. After all, you woke him up for school every day.
As you leaned back, Tanaka stretched his arms above his head and asked, “(Y/N)? Are we here?” You gave him a nod and moved out of the way for him to get up. Yuu was glaring at you from behind his seat.
“What’s wrong Yuu?” you asked, smirking. “Mad cause I woke you up?”
“I was having a good dreaaammm,” he whines.
“Whatever, just get your lazy ass up and let's head inside,” Tanaka drawls as he slaps Yuu upside the head.
“My lazy ass?” Yuu retorts. Yuu grabbed his duffel bag, and then returned a smack upside Tanaka’s head as they walked toward the front of the bus. “You were sleeping too!” Here they go again…
“Boys!” you yelled at them. They stopped. “Just get off the bus!” The libero and the wing spiker left without saying another word.
You sighed while shaking your head. You considered this your own role as a manager sometimes. Kiyoko was more of the quiet one that did her job well, Yachi was the newbie still getting used to the reins, and you were the one that kept the boy’s attitudes in check (yes, even Daichi sometimes).
You still remember back when you were about halfway through your first year as a manager. You were a second-year at the time. There was a day when the boys were so rowdy that not even the old Coach Ukai could calm them down. You must had been on your period or something that day, because you got so mad at them. All of a sudden, you had started scolding them for their attitudes and lack of respect, telling them that they needed to represent Karasuno High School the right way. It scared the team a bit. Their tiny manager that was practically a foot shorter than them was putting them in line and they actually listened. And so, the role kinda stuck (though you try not to lash out like you did that day).
You smiled at the memory. You started your way towards the front until you heard a few light snores coming from a seat further back to your right. Huh, guess I missed one. You walked back to the seat, almost yelping in surprise at who you saw.
Asahi? The ace slept with his own duffel bag propped up against the window as he snuggled it like a pillow. Half his face was buried into the bag while the other half was still in a peaceful slumber. Little bits of his brown hair fell around his forehead and over his ears from his bun. One longer strand of hair fell out over his nose, and would lift up slightly whenever he let out a small snore. You wondered how he didn’t wake up from Yuu and Tanaka yelling as they got off. Daichi and Suga did say that Asahi sleeps like the dead, but you’ve never got to actually see that for yourself.
You felt heat crawl up your face and ears at the sight of him. Asahi’s face was usually always concentrated, scared, or smiling. But this was somehow different. Seeing him sleeping like that made you stop dead in your tracks and stop thinking rationally. What’s worse? He’s not even trying. Asahi’s expression, mixed with his messy hair and snores, was pulling you in like a magnet. You thought it was downright adorable. You wanted to sit by him, maybe get a little closer. Close enough that perhaps you could smell the scent off his jacket or…
Your blushing got worse. You liked to keep these thoughts under wraps, but when they did come up you couldn’t help but get flustered. Fortunately, sitting next to him was as far as you got.
Hesitantly, you reached over to grab and shake Asahi’s shoulder. “Asahi,” you whispered. He didn’t budge. God, you were so lucky that no one could see you doing this. Under normal circumstances, with everyone in here, you would have been redder than a Nekoma jersey. “Asahi,” you whispered a little louder this time, shaking his shoulder a bit more. When he stirred and sucked in a breath, you flinched and stood up so quickly that you thought your spine snapped. But sadly, it didn’t, and now here you are, watching as Asahi opened his eyes ever so slowly.
When he sits up and his eyes finally land on you, you glued your eyes to the seat you were just sitting on. “O-Oh, (y/n)! Are we here?” Asahi asks in a groggy voice while looking up at you and then out the window to see the inn.
“Y-yeah!” you answered, cursing your voice for going a little more high pitched than you planned. You forced yourself to look up at him and conceal your blush. “I woke you up…” Just as he rose, you started to walk to the front with Asahi now not that far behind you. You swore, even just feeling him walking behind you was setting off butterfly cannons in your stomach. So, you composed yourself and tried to just walk straight.
But, what if you stopped? What if you leaned back, felt the warmth of his broad chest against your head… who are you kidding, both you and him would have a heart attack if you ever tried something so bold. You couldn’t seem to place how these thoughts entered your head about someone so fragile like that...
Both of you got off the bus and walked side by side now toward the lobby. You were mentally smacking yourself for thinking such things with him so close by.
When you entered the lobby, you took a seat and forced yourself to stop and think about something else.
“I’m going to put my stuff upstairs, see ya (y/n)!” Asahi called to you, turning for the stairs. Man, you were so caught up in your own thoughts that you didn’t even talk to him! Just how awkward can you get-
“See ya for dinner!” you called from over his shoulder as he, much to your relief and dismay, disappeared upstairs.
You let out a small sigh as you watched him disappear. Of course, you’ve fallen for the Ace of Karasuno. You just couldn’t help it. Asahi is one of the greatest friends you have and probably the most caring and understanding person you’ve ever met. He interested you too, how someone that big and imposing could be so gentle. Not only that, you did think he was really attractive. You started feeling this way at the beginning of your second year, and it didn’t take long for everyone to catch on. Heck, even the current first years have noticed it (Tsukishima teases you about it so much you have to remind him to respect his fucking elders and their problems). Somehow Asahi hasn’t caught on, probably due to his usual softie mentality.
That’s probably for the best. Not wanting to screw up your friendship with Asahi is probably the reason you’ve never confessed anyway. Probably.
But you’re running out of time. After this tournament, you have a few more weeks before you both graduate and you go off to attend university. So maybe you’ll just enjoy the time that you have with him, even if you most likely won’t tell him in the end.
___________________________________________________________
Asahi walked up to the boys room with his duffel bag, his mind a flurry of thoughts. Should I have stayed back with her? No, that would seem a little creepy… What do you mean creepy? She’s your friend! Shoot, I didn’t even tell her thank you for waking me up! Great going Asahi-
When Asahi entered the boys room, he was met with Kageyama being shoved into him, causing him to drop his bag.
“Ah! Sorry Asahi,” Kageyama apologized as Asahi bent down to pick it up.
“I-it’s fi-”
“Yeah Baka-yama! Say sorry!” Hinata shouted from across the room, sticking his tongue out at Kageyama.
“You’re the one that pushed me, dumbass!” Kageyama roared before storming back over to Hinata.
Asahi chuckled and made his way over to where Suga and Daichi were watching the pair fight from a safe distance.
“Hey, Asahi! Why’d you take so long to come up?” Daichi asked. He looked a little concerned, maybe even worried. Him and Suga really are just like his parents…
“O-oh no r-reason I-” he began. Asahi tried to avoid eye contact as his own voice began betraying him again. Eye contact was dangerous with these two sometimes, even if they were his friends. Both Suga and Daichi raised an eyebrow at him. “Um… I fell asleep on the bus a-and… (y/n) woke me up,” he muttered while getting quieter as he said your name.
“Aww, well isn’t that sweet!” Suga cooed with a teasing smirk. Asahi swore, whenever he brought you up when you weren't around, they were always quick to tease him. Maybe they are his parents…
Asahi felt a tiny blush begin to form on his cheeks as he stuttered “S-S-Suga, can we not talk about this right now…”
Daichi let out a disappointed sigh. “C’mon Asahi, you’ve basically had a crush on her since she became a manager. You gotta tell her already!”
“Tell who what?” asked Hinata who suddenly appeared beside Daichi. Asahi went stiff as a board, looking nowhere else than his shoes.
“Tell (y/n) that he likes her,” he heard Tsukishima say from beside Hinata. “What? Did you not know that he has feelings for her?”
“Wait, you mean… those kinda feelings?” Hinata’s voice got louder. It felt so loud that Asahi thought he was going to faint from the embarrassment.
Yamaguchi was quick to chime in with Tsukishima. “Well yeah! Hasn’t Tsukki told you this before?” How did they know?! Noya didn’t tell them… right?
As if on cue, Tanaka and Nishinoya also joined the conversation. “Yeah man! Who would’ve thought that Asahi would have a crush on such a hot girl like her, huh? What’d you think Noya?” Tanaka asked as he laughed along with the group.
“Asahi!” Noya yelled right into Asahi’s ear, scaring the living shit out of him. Almost the whole room went quiet. Noya pointed straight into Asahi’s face, causing his eyes to widen and look at his finger. Noya then began speaking as if he were talking of destiny, “Azumane Asahi, as Nishinoya (y/n)’s younger brother, and as her sole protector for life, I grant you permission for you to court her, and-”
“Oh please. Do you even know what the word “court” means when you say it like that?” Tsukishima snickered. Asahi’s body went cold with chills as his face flushed crimson. “You’re basically giving him permission to-”
“Would you guys shhhhhh!” Suga screamed at them before dropping his voice to a whisper. Oh thank God for Suga- “The girls room is right next door! They could’ve heard you for all you know! Have some respect…” Hinata squealed a ‘sorry’ and Tsukishima just walked away with a smirk. Noya gave Asahi a firm slap on the back. Everyone else that took part in the conversation left to do their own thing.
Suga put a gentle hand on Asahi’s shoulder, causing him to look into his eyes. “Look Asahi, whenever you’re around (y/n), I notice a slight change in you. You’re not super tense. You’re actually a lot more relaxed around her. You’re more confident and a lot more happy. She pushes you to do better unlike any one of us. You gotta tell her how you feel, and you have to do it soon, Asahi.”
“Yeah, and even if she doesn’t feel the same way, she isn’t the type of person to avoid you afterwards,” Daichi adds, giving him a reassuring smile.
Asahi blushed again before smiling at the ground. Is that really how he seems around you? Sure, some of what Suga said is true. He does feel a slightly bigger push when you’re the one to give pep talks before games, and it would be a lie to say that he wasn’t happier around you, but he thought everyone felt that way…
And the other things that Suga said? Asahi would just have to see for himself. Confess to you? Him, who has never been so in love with someone, and just happens to have no experience when it comes to that same department? He’s even surprised that words just came so naturally with you but confidence be damned! He never prepared himself for this!
Well, it is his third year after all… maybe he could learn a thing or two before ending high school. What does he have to lose?
“Y-Yeah...alright.”
There was a knock before the door opened. “Alright guys, meeting in the conference room in five. Dinner will be ready shortly after!” Coach Ukai yelled above the conversations. As soon as the team responded, one by one each boy began to leave the room. Daichi gave Asahi a small pat on the back before leaving with Suga.  Soon, Asahi was the only person left in the room, and the only tension present was created within his thoughts.
___________________________________________________________
You leaned your head back and closed your eyes as you let the steam and heat of the bath allow you to unwind. Kiyoko and Yachi had already climbed in with you. You sat to the right of Kiyoko and Yachi sat on her left.
“Rough day so far, (y/n)?” Kiyoko asked with her usual calming gaze. You could tell why almost all the boys were so into her. Seeing Yuu, Tanaka, and even boys from other teams try to hit on her was one of the funniest things to you. There was no denying that Kiyoko is pretty, and she always had this earthly calm about her that you just couldn’t put your finger on sometimes. Kiyoko has been your closest girl friend since you started as a manager, and now even Yachi was one too.
“Yeah,” you groaned. It may not seem like it to everyone else, but you had been stressed almost since you woke up this morning. First, there was the tension of the boys first game. Then, Kiyoko had to run back to grab Hinata’s bag that he left at the train station. The stress went away slightly after the boys won the first game, but the tension was still there now that they have to win the next one. To top it off, the boys just found out at their meeting that they would be going up against the team was ranked #2 to win nationals. Not to mention, their setter (according to Kageyama) was on the All Japan Youth team. If that didn’t make everyone’s anxiety for this tournament any worse, you didn’t know what did. You’re definitely going to make sure that the boys settle down to get enough sleep tonight.
Kiyoko and Yachi listened as you went on your rant about the day. But as you continued on, you let something slip out. “Not to mention, I woke up Asahi on the bus today. Asahi of all people! Then when we walked back I didn’t even say anything! I got so caught up in my own thoughts that I didn’t even realize how awkward I was being…”
You paused, realizing what you just said. Your hands flung up to conceal the blush now forming as you muttered something incoherent about not meaning to say that.
“Honestly (Y/N), I think it’s pretty funny how you react around someone like Asahi!” Yachi giggled. Kiyoko must have been pointing things like that out to her…
Kiyoko smiled at you. “She’s right, you know. It’s almost like you two switch personalities when you’re together.”
You turned your body to face them. “T-that’s not true!” you argued. The massive blush on your ears and face said otherwise. “I’m still the same person!”
The bathing room went suddenly quiet as if they were silently disagreeing with you. You turned to face forward again. It was if there was still another question that hung in the air that remained unspoken. “(Y/N)?” It was Yachi that spoke up.
“Yeah?” you asked somewhat hesitantly.
“You’re not...nervous to tell him you like him… are you?” Yachi asked. Your breath shuddered. There it was, that unspoken question. While it might seem normal for a person to be nervous to tell someone they liked them, much less to feel nervous about other things, ‘nervous’ was not a trait among the Nishinoya siblings. In fact, no one believed you and Yuu have ever felt nervous before. Despite Yuu’s personality being different from yours, it’s still centered around that shared trait between the both of you. The Nishinoya siblings were known on the team for being the fearless ones, Yuu in his playing ability and happy-go-lucky attitude, and you with your confident decision making and ability to push each player to do their best. It’s what made you two so reliable. You and your brother never got nervous… right? You guessed maybe that should only be said of Yuu now. After all, how can someone have no fear if they can’t confess to a silly little crush…
Maybe that’s the reason you’ve never confessed. This entire time, you thought the reason you never told Asahi how you felt was because you didn’t want to mess things up between the two of you.
I’ve been lying to myself this whole time, you thought. But, I shouldn’t lie to my friends about it…
After a few more minutes of silence, you spoke up. “Yeah. I am nervous.” Both of your friends looked to you. As you continued, your voice became lower and quieter as you sounded out your thoughts slowly. “This entire time I’ve been telling myself that maybe it was better this way because he probably wouldn’t return my feelings, but I guess I’ve been stalling.”
“That’s ok (y/n)! It’s perfectly normal for someone to get nervous over someone they like!” Yachi reassured you.
“She’s right,” said Kiyoko, putting a hand on your shoulder. “Try to be yourself around him. He’s actually a lot more confident around you than you think, so it should be like having a conversation with someone like Daichi or Suga. Just try to take those baby steps, ok? If you talk to him tonight, tell us how it went afterward.”
You smiled timidly at your two friends. “Okay, I will.”
___________________________________________________________
You stared at your phone and groaned. 9:00pm.
The boys would not shut up.
While Kiyoko and Yachi were settling down into their own sleeping areas, you calmly went over and asked Daichi if he could settle down the boys a little. That was 30 minutes ago…
Oh well, you thought. Kiyoko and Yachi were asleep now, so you thought it would be fine. It had been a while since the team got to hang out as just a plain group of chaotic high school boys rather than a serious volleyball club. They’re on this trip to have some fun too.
But if they're not quiet by 10:00, you’re definitely making sure they actually fall asleep.
With a sigh, you turned off your phone and made your way across the dark room. Careful not to wake your friends, you tiptoed to your bag in the corner and fished out your favorite pajamas: an old yet suitable t-shirt and a fuzzy pair of light orange shorts.
After changing, you grabbed your small toiletry bag and walked out of the room. Across from the girl’s room was a small washroom that was shared among all three of the rooms. You were sure that no one would enter since all the boys were in their room and Ukai and Takeda went drinking again. The washroom was completed with two sinks surrounded by a wooden counter, and a public toilet further back in the room.
You set your stuff down on the sink closest to the door. As you started to brush your teeth, you questioned if you should stay up longer tonight than usual. You didn’t feel that tired yet, and you did hear that there is a balcony near the rooms.
You leaned over the sink to spit before faintly hearing the door open. You quickly spit out the excess toothpaste and wiped your mouth on your sleeve before looking to see who stood in the doorway.
“(y/n)?” Asahi stared back at you with his wide brown eyes. He had switched his tracksuit for a plain white t-shirt and a pair of grey sweats, which you assumed was his sleepwear. He had a small green bag under his arm. Was he washing up too?
“Oh, I’m sorry I thought no one would come in here,” you tried to laugh about it as you quickly started to pack up your toiletries. Damn, you’re just acting nervous around him again!
“No! You can stay, I’ll just come back later,” he smiled politely and turned to leave.
“Wait!” you called before you even realized what you were doing. Asahi turned to look over his shoulder, surprised. Baby steps rang in your head as you took a breath and said “There’s another sink if you want to use it…”
Asahi peered over your head. “Oh! Sure...” He walked past you to the other sink and you turned to your own bag. As you brought out a comb to run through your hair, Asahi started to run the water in his sink as he fished out his own toothbrush.
Almost on instinct, you started talking to yourself in your own head, even when you desperately wanted to talk to the boy next to you. Should I even say anything in the first place? No… baby steps (y/n)! Remember! Ok, what should I say? “So how do you think tomorrow will go?” No, the tension for tomorrow is already high enough. “Nice… weather? here? in? Tokyo…?” Goddammit why is this so hard-
You sighed through your nose and put your comb back. As you looked for the next thing you needed to find in your bag, your eyes slowly drifted to Asahi. He was looking at himself in the mirror as he ran a knuckle along his jaw and muttered something about needing to shave. You assumed he decided against it as he fished out a brush and a bottle of… detangler?
One part of Asahi was happy and glad that you were sharing the washroom with him. But, the majority of him was feeling like an anxious wreck. It was only three hours ago when Asahi had promised his friends that he would finally confess his feelings to you. And now you’re here with him, alone, and you haven’t spoken a word to each other. Maybe he should say something about it now, close the gap he so desperately wanted to reach. Was he ever going to get a good enough opportunity such as this (even if it was in a washroom…)?
As Asahi got out his brush and detangler, he decided that maybe he would just talk to you for now… yeah. But, what is there to talk about-
“Is that lavender detangler?”
He raised his eyebrows and turned to look at you. You looked first at the detangler in his hand, and then up at him with a quirked eyebrow and wide, expecting eyes. You held your face wash in one hand and a hair tie in the other. And those pajamas you were wearing… gosh you looked so cute.
“Oh… yeah. It’s kind of weird I guess,” Asahi chuckled and scratched the back of his neck.
“No, not at all,” you replied matter-of-fact. “I was actually kind of wondering why some parts of the gym smelled like lavender and I was trying to figure out who it was!” You laughed. It’s true, some corners of the gym started smelling oddly great (for a gym especially). When you asked Kiyoko and Yachi if they had bought new perfume, they both replied with no, and so you became suspicious.
When you turned away to wash your face, Asahi took out his bun and began his own nighttime routine. Your butterflies fucking exploded as you rubbed the face wash gently into your skin and listened to the soft spurts of his detangler.
___________________________________________________________
For the rest of your time in the washroom, both you and Asahi held great conversation. Though the time was little, the detangler topic led to both of you complaining about your hair consistency, to what color you both would want dye your hair, to favorite colors, to favorite school subjects, and then finally to what you were talking about now, favorite parts about school.
“Well that’s easy. Being the manager for the team,” you replied nonchalantly.
“Really?” Asahi packed up the rest of his things in his little bag and turned to you. He left his hair down. You were leaning against the door, your own bag under your arm. Seeing him with his hair down is having you battle the flutter in your stomach as you try to get used to the new sight.
“Well yeah, but I guess I have to thank Yuu though after all. If he didn’t play volleyball I would probably be tripping over myself in a dance club or something!” You both laughed.
He was still laughing as you caught a glance of his face. You wanted to see his smile more. You wanted to hear him laugh more. You just wanted to keep talking to him. This is the first time you’ve been able to have a normal conversation with him without stumbling over your words and you did not want it to end this quickly. But at the same time, you probably shouldn’t keep him if he’s tired.
Asahi felt a little conflicted inside. It was clear that both of you were done washing up, but he still wanted to confess, but… well maybe now isn’t the time after all. It was still great to talk to you though.
You opened the door and walked past the doorway. “So um, are you going back to the room?”
“Well, I guess. But I probably won’t be able to sleep because of the noise. That’s the reason I came to wash up a little earlier.” Asahi responded. The moment was slipping away...
Maybe that’s one thing to thank the boys for. But is there some way to keep talking to him? He obviously doesn’t want to be by the rest of the team. Maybe you could save him from them for a couple of minutes. But where-
“Um… a-are you tired?” This was about to take a lot of courage from you…
“N-no…?” Asahi was a little confused by your question. What were you about to ask him?
“Do you wanna go hang out on the balcony for a bit?” You finally said it. A huge weight was lifted from your shoulders, but the even larger weight remained as you waited for his answer. You squeezed your hands behind your back and gulped. You prayed that he didn’t notice how nervous you were…
Asahi just stared at you for about 2 seconds, because 2 seconds was all his brain needed to overcompensate and overthink everything you just said. Did you say hang out on the balcony? As in like, with you? Alone? Together? No one else is there, right? Why? Just to keep you company? Because he said that he didn’t really want to be by the rest of the loud and obnoxious team? Did you really care enough about that to invite him on the balcony? Did you actually like talking to him?
No, that couldn’t be true…
Right?
“Yeah. We could do that.”
___________________________________________________________
You stood on the balcony, eagerly awaiting Asahi. You leaned over the railing as you took in the cold evening. The wind blew just enough to leave a slight shiver through your body and stir your hair. The lights and sounds of Tokyo filled your senses as you watched the bustling city from afar. You took a look up. The pollution of Tokyo meant you couldn’t see stars, but you imagined they were there. There wasn’t a single cloud in the sky, save for the occasional airplane flying to or from the city. You brought your gaze back down and stared forward in silent thought.
Asahi was grateful that you had arrived at the balcony first after you both left to put away your toiletries. He tried his best to get into the room to put his things away, grab his jacket, and be out of the room where the boys were now playing truth or dare. Noya caught him and tried to convince him to join in, but he politely refused and left without another word. He would have to explain himself later.
And now, there you were. You didn’t notice him behind you on the balcony. His gaze softened as he took a moment to admire you.
You were the only thing that immediately captured his attention, as always. Not the blinding lights of the city beyond, not the atmosphere around him, just you, with your back turned to him as you faced Toyko. Asahi’s breath hitched in his throat. It was in that moment that he realized that nothing else mattered. Not even breathing mattered. The lights weren’t as beautiful, the city wasn’t as loud, and the chill in the air wasn’t as prominent. Everything else seemed to dull and fade, leaving only you.
Why?
There was just something more captivating in the way your hair flowed in the wind that he seemed to forget that the wind was the reason your hair moved so fluently. The way you were standing and observing the view, almost as if you didn’t know that if everything else had eyes, then everything would be gazing and admiring you just like he did every day. The way your eyes were shining so perfectly ahead that the stars would become jealous and try to take that shine, but he would never let them because no matter how high and mighty the stars might be, no matter how many of them there were, you were so much more above them in his own eyes.
His thoughts were broken when your body jerked in a slight shiver. He realized that you had forgotten a coat because you were still wearing the same pajamas.
It was a lot windier than you thought it would be. You wrapped your arms around yourself and rubbed your bare arms. You were in such a hurry to put your things away that you didn’t have time to consider the weather.
You jumped when you felt a slight pressure on your shoulder, and then something laying across them. As you reached your hands up to feel what it was, you ran your fingers across the material of a jacket, and then heard the shuffling of someone next to you. Then you realized…
Asahi was here, and he gave you his jacket.
You turned to look at him. He was standing about a foot away from you to the right. He had his elbows propped against the balcony railing as he leaned against it. His shoulders caved slightly inward as he stared at the ground. His eyes were casted downward in a way that he almost looked ashamed, but if not, then just lost in thought. A slight tint splayed itself across his cheeks from the cold. The wind moved through his long brown hair like a dance and ruffled his white shirt against the muscle that laid beneath.
Your heart caught in your chest. Your breathing stopped as you clutched the jacket.
This was a new sight. He didn’t look scared. He wasn’t smiling. He wasn’t sleeping. He didn’t look exactly concentrated either.
He looked… ethereal.
His eyes caught yours and he stood a little straighter. “I-I… you looked cold… so… sorry if it’s weird...” His eyes casted off as he spoke. He’s adorable.
“N-no” you assured. “Not at all! Um, thank you...”
“You’re welcome... “ he smiled at you before looking down again. It was odd. It wasn’t like his body was anxious, more like just his eyes were. Could he… maybe? Unless he was just trying to be nice.
You looked down and held the jacket closer to you. Your blush was growing by the second. It may be a possibility. The jacket smelled like the lavender detangler and cedarwood. Not only that, it was warm. It smelled and felt like him, like your Asahi. Well, he wasn’t yours just yet.
Just yet.
Asahi didn’t even know why or how he managed to give you his jacket. He just felt a surge of feeling that had him act. He knew it was love, but at that moment, he never felt it so strongly. It was almost as if it were his instinct to want to make you feel happy and comfortable. Maybe he should act on that more.
Maybe he should act on that now.
You talked up first. “So, um…” you mumbled just loud enough to be audible. “How are you feeling… about tomorrow?” You instantly regretted the words as they left your mouth. You couldn’t think of another topic, so you just blurted the first thing that came to mind.
“Um… well, if I said I was feeling alright about it, I would obviously be lying,” he chuckled.
“Well, I think you’ll be alright once you get out there and kick ass like always,” you said, trying to ease his nerves. You sounded so sure of yourself. That was new, especially around Asahi.
“(y/n)...”
“Yeah?”
“Thank you for supporting me…” he faced you as he leaned against the railing, smiling at you, though he didn’t make eye contact. “It really means a lot…”
You gave him your best smile while clutching his jacket. “No need to thank us. We all have to push our ace so he can do his best!”
He blushed. Something popped into his head, and before he could stop himself, he said it out loud.
“No one pushes me to do my best as much as you, though.” He scared himself when he said it. He couldn’t even turn away. He just… looked at you. You were still so captivating. So much so that his anxiety and fears couldn’t even distract him now.
You blushed. Did he just say that? Did he… there was almost no doubt now. Your heart started to beat so loud that you couldn’t focus on your own thoughts. You could only focus on him.
You were looking at him with those beautiful eyes again. This was it. Now. He had to do it now.
“(y-y/n)...”
“Yeah…?” You turned to him.
He opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out. He couldn’t stop staring at you.
So captivating.
There you stood, patiently waiting.
“Asahi, are you-”
“I love you, (y/n).” And that’s when the words began to tumble out. “I can’t believe I’m doing this… but it’s the truth. Ever since you became a manager for our team, I’ve never been able to get you out of my head and... and, I’m not sure how to feel about it. You’re just beautiful, and strong, and perfect… A-and I want to give you everything. I want to give you… more than everything really. But I’m just...I’m just…”
He kept his eyes closed the entire time, brows furrowed and hands glued to his sides as he spoke. Were you actually hearing this? The person you’ve loved for so long confessing that he loves you-
You felt this buzzing, warm feeling inside your heart. It spread like wildfire throughout your body, burning you and your senses down to the one source of the truth behind the flames which is that he. loves. you.
He squinted as he opened his eyes to look at you. You looked… confused. You just kept staring at him. He felt this cold shiver as his cheeks flushed in embarrassment. He clenched his fists. Here it was, you were about to reject him. Why did he even try-
“I love you too, Asahi.”
“What?”
“What?”
For a moment you two just stared at each other. You both couldn’t believe what you were hearing. Meanwhile, the same fire was spreading throughout Asahi. Burning down all insecurities, all negative thoughts. It was just that one fact.
You love him too.
And like fire, it spread throughout both of you quickly. Burning, destroying, until it bubbled over and-
That space between you ceased to exist as you stood on your tippy toes, grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, and kissed him. You didn’t know what you were doing, but you didn’t care. You’ve waited too long to tell him how you’ve felt and this kiss lifted the last weight from your consciousness. You didn’t have to pretend. You didn’t have to be nervous. You were free.
Asahi didn’t know how to feel at first. Was this actually happening? Were you… kissing him? Well, of course he knew that but he never thought it would happen.
He wasn’t kissing back. You opened your eyes and leaned back, separating you from his lips. Was that too far? “Ah, s-sorry I thought-”
You were cut off by him quickly swooping in and returning the kiss while leaning down to wrap his arms around your waist. You closed your eyes and kissed him back, wrapping your arms around his neck and tangling your hands in his long hair. His lips were warm and surprisingly soft. You giggled as the scruff from his stubble tickled you. His kiss was so gentle that it was as if he thought you were a porcelain doll, and that if he put too much of himself on you, that you would break. It was loving and sweet, and filled with as much care as he could give you.
When you both leaned back, he looked down at you. So small. So amazing.
So perfect.
Those were his words before he leaned again, pressing himself closer to you. Your back steadied itself against the railing as you continued kissing him. His hands travelled to cup your face, one hand resting itself against your soft skin and the other running itself through your hair. This kiss was just like the last but filled with more need and passion. The fire was growing. Here, nothing else mattered. The lights didn’t matter, the air, the city. Just you, with your lips on his.
When you leaned back again, he smiled as you kissed him on the nose. “Not as perfect as you,” you replied. You laughed as his face scrunched in confusion, and then when he realized what he had said out loud before he kissed you.
“So, uh, does this mean… W-well, only if you want to of course! But, ah, what I’m trying to say is-”
“Yes Asahi, I’ll be your girlfriend,” you said to him while rolling your eyes and smiling. It seemed that after your kiss, your confidence had returned. How could he kiss you like that but not be able to ask you out? He’s so awkward, and handsome, and yours.
Both of you chuckled, finally before leaning in again. Finally yours.
That’s when you heard the metallic door on the other side of the balcony open.
“HEY ASAHI- woah”

"So that's when I opened the door, and Asahi and (y/n) were making out, and-"
"Noya, stop-" Asahi pleaded.
"Dang, who knew that Asahi had game," Tanaka wheezed.

-first date is uhhhhh (GIVE ME TIME) UHHHH AH YES LET'S GO WITH ICE SKATING
-i feel like ittetsu would be just average in ice skating
-if you're good then you would be helping him and if you're bad he's the one helping you
-you guys end up having dinner together too
-MAYBE ALSO A FEW DRINKS
-and he (kind of drunkenly) accompanies you back home
-like "bye byee, have a good night" and leaves for his own house
-texts you when he arrives home
-his text no. 1: "i just got home :) did you have a fun date?"
-no. 2: "i would love to meet up again some time soon for a second one!"
-no. 3: "IF YOU WANT TO OF COURSE"
-ofc you want to or else why are you here (I MEAN YOU COULD BE HERE FOR YAMAGUCHI OR UKAI)
-would be on first name basis after a while tbh
-HE IS UNDERRATED.

Tumblr media
-you're probably one of the karasuno alumni who's friends with him
-or a teacher
-or a frequented customer who has been missing his presence at the store because he's been coaching most of the time
-in this case i feel like you'd be the one doing all the confessing
-it's an instinct thing
-in which he takes time considering, since his jobs requires a lot of time and effort
-after about three to four days, he finally texts your number you left on the note you gave him
-"about your offer," he starts off, "can we set a date for it? i need to see if there's practice."
-"ah, don't worry about it!" came your response. "can we settle for the weekend? i have work."
-"i'll check with my mom later. 6-8 pm for now?"
-"sure, i'll hear from you later, ukai-san."
-eventually sets it at that date and you guys have a dinner date at a bar <333
-you both don't bother dressing up- it's a bar??
-like ittetsu, he's a gentleman

Takeda birthday HCs
Happy Birthday Takeda! Not enough content for this man.
 Warnings: Yandere themes, Teacher! Reader
Takeda thinks you’re probably the kindest teacher he’s ever met.
You’re not strict but you aren’t someone that lets yourself be walked all over like a doormat.
He finds himself taking little things from your desk.
Just little things, he swears, things you wouldn’t miss.
He takes them home and puts them all together, just so he can go back and remember that you touched those objects with your soft hands.
He didn’t see himself as a thief before, but he knows what he’s doing is wrong.
Still, he can’t help but want to upgrade to taking bigger things.
Like you.

Could you do hcs for Little!Hinata and his team? Like he’s energetic and he wants to play but his team knows he’s clumsy when he’s small? -🦐
Super duper sorry the heat here is making me really unproductive ><
Tumblr media
SO he’s already incredibly clumsy when he’s big it’s like watching a newborn puppy on ice, the spirit is there but the physical ability is lacking
He’s very VERY energetic but he’s also just a super tiny baby, his walking is more of a strategic falling, he just falls over then gets up wherever he’s landed
Just kinda toddles around getting into everywhere and everything, he’s just free roaming until someone picks him up and puts him back on the bench
Cries when he’s not allowed to play even though the few times he’s been allowed to play he’s cried because he hurt his chin diving
The ONLY thing that can keep him still is putting on a volleyball match that he hasn’t seen before
He’s not supposed to play, (un)fortunately he has a couple of irresponsible uncles (Tanaka and Nishinoya) who will take him outside and let him play on the grass with them
It’s chaos, the grass stains will never come out
He has picked some interesting nicknames for his coaches, there’s grandpa Ukai, grandpa Takeda and great grandpa Ukai (they hate the names but who’s going to tell that tiny Angel no?)
Has worryingly worked out that if he just stares blankly at people they’ll usually figure out that he wants something
Tumblr media
“Shoyo? What’s up kiddo?” Ukai questions as he sees the small boy staring up at him from the floor. “Ba!!” Shoyo giggles and hits the volleyball in his lap, “Nope, no playing for the baby” Suga chimes in, ruffling Hinata’s hair gently as he crouched to his height. “How about instead we watch that new match from last night, hm?” He laughs as Shoyo nods quickly and makes grabby hands at him, “Up!!” Shoyo babbles louder than intended but nobody minded. Suga gently lifts him into his lap and wraps an arm around his waist, holding his phone out in front of the smaller boy, squeezing his hand as he quiets down.

ITTETSU TAKEDA HCS ⋆˚࿔
Tumblr media
has really long eyelashes and naturally flushed cheeks to the point where his students are jealous.
is canonically a literature teacher so you know hes that one teacher everyone thinks is gay but ends up having like a wife and two kids or some shit
(i personally hc him as gay but if we're being realistic he is so that teacher dude like theres no way)
got stuck in a classroom once after school because the door jammed and he was too afraid to ask someone to help him. he sat there grading papers until someone found him, three hours later.
talks to himself.
gets mistaken for a student at least once a year.
has the worst caffeine tolerance known to man but drinks coffee anyways
cannot parallel park to save his life.
hates calling in sick. will literally be on his deathbed and will still wonder if he could make it.
has frequent dreams where he just forgets to write in kanji despite being a japanese lit teacher
had a scene phase in first year and still sometimes logs onto his myspace to feel something
sets 5 alarms two minutes apart but always wakes up before the first one even goes off
stationery nerd. only grades with a 0.3 muji or nothing at all. also always keeps one on him.
used to be much shyer than he actually is, but forced himself out of it for the sake of his students.
has the spice tolerance of a thai person. makes keishin embarrassed because he cant handle spice.
gets drunk so unbelievably quickly that you cant even pregame with him
everyones favourite teacher. does not have a moment of peace during the school day because  students greet him in the mornings, eat lunch with him, and say goodbye to him in the afternoon
gets so unbelievably sunburnt so easily even if he wears spf 100. burns like a white man.
loves crosswords and sudoku and trivia and anything in that genre of puzzle
gets really excited about snow days but pretends to be annoyed like all the other staff.
used to be that kid that would be hyped as fuck to clean the blackboard at the end of class
unironically has a mug that says ‘i teach, what’s your superpower?’
waters down his soda instead of buying a non-fizzy version because keishin doesnt sell it
always has a window cracked open in the classroom even if its the dead of winter
insists on walking everywhere even if it takes longer
is always convinced that he left the microwave on everytime he leaves the house even though he literally doesnt own one
deathly scared of deep water but still goes to the beach because he loves hanging out with people
secretly dreams of publishing a book but won’t admit it
is the type to bring snacks for everyone without being asked.
uses a paper planner and color codes everything. digital calendars give him anxiety.
his eyesight is actually so unbelievably bad that he pays extra to get thin lenses so people dont make fun of him despite him literally being a grown man
calls his mom every friday night, no exceptions.
gets stressed out by online forms. will call customer service before trying to fill one out. keishin is the other way around.
was a vegetarian for two years. not for health. just couldn’t justify eating meat. still eats mostly plant-based, but is a little more forgiving to himself now.
gets really into history documentaries and has surprisingly strong opinions about ancient rome.
lowkey terrified of public restrooms
