Hey listeners! Today I want to talk about taking chances and becoming involved. Before I left for school, everyone kept telling me to try new things, have an open mind, etc. I always brushed them off and was like “yea, yea” because I kept hearing it over and over again. I have always wanted to join a sorority and during the rush process, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it because it is so different than northern sororities. I stuck with it and it turned out to be something I  actaully enjoy. I have also joined fashion boards and I might do an intermural sport with my friends. I am trying to do more things that make me happy and try new things before it is too late and I think you all should do the same. It is so important to put ourselves out there and try new things because you don’t want to regret it in the future. Even if you end up not liking something, at least you could say “I tried!”. The inspirational quote for today is "In the end, we only regret the chances we didn't take.". Have you had any experiences like mine? My kids are literally crawling all over me right now and I’m thinking to myself if I should just let them continue doing it or if I should gently push them off so I can continue trying to write this post. I’m choosing to let them crawl all over me. 😬😬Now one is crying and the other one ran out of the room shouting something that I can’t make out. Ugh! There’s never a quiet moment in my world. I’m constantly bombarded with either the sounds of children yelling, screaming, crying, laughing, etc., or the voices in my head telling me to give up and just find a job. I often wonder if I made the right decision to be a coach. I feel coaches all have their stuff together. They all have organization, huge goals, and this tenacious spirit which I feel that sometimes I don’t have and most of all hey have a space to go that is quiet and children free. And then I think about what would I be doing if I weren’t a coach and the answer often comes to, I’d be working for someone else and building their dream instead of me building mine and that’s when I snap out of whatever funky mood I’m in and start taking the necessary steps needed to grow my business. It’s not easy stepping out on your own and creating a life for yourself and family that you can look back on and say, “yap! I did that!” But I won’t be able to say that if I give up.
