soooo. pokes fingers together. guess who got really into [[Data Recovering]] right before the chapter 3/4 drops... I love it a lot i think its one of my fav fics oit there :] i love the way you characterize the addisons, grah- something about the way you write blue in particular REALLY makes me feel things. i cant explain it but i think im picking up what youre putting down.

In other news, i saw the note at the end of the most recent chapter.. does anything in chapter 3 make you think youre going to stop updating it? I'd understand completely if you did, I'm just cursjng myself for being so late to the addison party haha

aaaaa this is so cool to hear!! thank you for enjoying my lil fic!! :D tbh while the deltarune ch 3 hype has me in a tight hold rn (as most likely 99.99999999% of other deltarune fans as well) i'd wanna go on a teeny bit of a break before another chapter, but with new revelations and spamton emotions from the latest game chapter, i don't see myself really stopping!

like writing got me through the post deltarune ch 2 wait as i was able to tinker with headcanons and theories and work through them as well as rlly practice character study (and also slide in references to my childhood hyperfixation with 90's commercials). I had such a good time! also there's something about this little puppet man that makes me feel such strong emotions i just have to funnel them out with words lol. However, i thought that with the chapter drop, a lot of, if not most of what i wrote would not age well, and while many of my predictions were wrong (who would have known that '[[Anything you see on tv]]' was another character?? spamton you and your speech quirk amuse me so), a few of them were actually right! So i think it's ok enough in my eyes to stick around as an weird au concept of an au sorta thing :D

besides, i have an ending that's been swimming in my head for the last couple years and i want to get to it. There's bits and pieces of chapter 3 that's even got me thinking so so much about him. i guess read more if u wanna get to the spoilers.

But it means a lot you joined the addison party, even if you got here a bit later than most! In fact, it's the best time to join! There's so much spamton going around and it feels like 2021 again with references to "what the heck is that thing?!" and also a missing canon depiction "Mike" leaving him still in the air for speculation (unless he's in chapter 4 idk i haven't gotten that far lmao)

as for the chapter 3 spoilers i'm rlly thinking about that interaction with tenna and spamton and how tenna doesnt?? recognize him?? (as funny as it was that he didn't) like maybe we underestimate how uncanny seeing a puppetified version of someone you knew has to be like. Taking also into account spamton's type changes (to puppet/cat), speech changes, literally everything about him got fucked up. I can't imagine what it's like for those addisons :)

also i need to reference swatch's mohawk they had during spamton's big shot era which is now canon. who would have known id wanted this? certainly not me

Long ass opinions / critiques on milgram under the cut before t3 actually hits

Im not even that mad / hateful of mlgrm at all tbh & I think & hope you can tell that from the fact that my main gripe with it isnt really "This project was awful from start to finish it never should've happened" but rather "There were better (& Arguably easier) ways to tell this story & get the point across"

i understand 100% why they thought, on paper, why this would've been a cool project to work on and It Is!! They did their best, i really love how it takes inspiration from the vocaloid community from the abstract symbolism filled MV's, the deco covers, how theres an interconnected story, and the potential of community guesswork & discussion of what this song and/or MV means. I might be a bit biased bc i got into it after being dissapointed in how lacking the virtual singers / vocaloid [community] feels in project sekai besides the commissioned songs but overall i think its really cute, even if its technically just what art as a whole is about 😭 You know, making you engage & think about The Implications. Getting the inspo from the voca synth community allows the project to stand out bc of how its presented. Its unique, its fresh, it keeps you on your toes.

I love how it (tries) to tackle well known & relevant issues in japan (& tbh the rest of the world), like ableism, misogyny, child abuse, call-out culture, homophobia, the entire prison system, etc. and how the victims and perpetrators react to it. Its very interesting. Its very clearly trying to humanize & sympathize even the "worst of the worst", and i appreciate how its one of the main themes in the story even if some of the audience didnt quite catch it. Its showing how simply punishing people who did wrong isnt the answer. Like theres SOOOO much nuance to unpack both in universe with the crimes & prisoners and in a meta sense through the way the story is presented, the way the audience reacts, the discussions, thoughts, developments, etc. Its so cool. They've clearly put a lot of effort into it.

At its core the Milgram Project has always been less about solving the crimes and more about asking the audience "Why do YOU think X happened?" Its basically a bunch of character studies!! You're peering through their hearts, examining their own version of the truth of their crimes, and drawing your own conclusions based on that raw, intrusive data that the system has given you. Aagh.

Unfortunately in my own humble opinion all these elements combined is exactly why it doesn't work as well as it could've And arguably should've for a project all about seeing the good or at least understanding eachother.

It asks "Why did X did it?" but it doesnt give us a platform to actually state Why they did it in any way, only to answer & play into the prisons b&w thinking, and you cant in any way reverse any of their verdicts once its been casted. And thematically it works. I mean its about a warden in a prison full of people who have taken lives, its doing its job to mirror the reality of real life Innocent (No punishment or otherwise legal consenquence) vs Guilty (Punish) verdicts, legally or non officially, as it should. But idk it doesnt really Help us understand why a character comitted their sin. It only introduces downwards spirals, which only makes the characters less willing to provide their actual motive(s) as time goes on. I get that the main thing its criticizing is the legal & prison system but its getting in the way of sympathizing with "Bad" people. Which again IS the point, thats EXACTLY what the prison system does and why its so harmful, it dehumanizes people to hell and boils down their entire personhood to "Guilty" but like???? It doesnt really provide an Out, or anything more Productive to think about. WHICH IS THE POINT & I KNOW THAT BUT IT KINDA FEELS LIKE IN THE END THERES REALLY NOTHING YOU CAN DO WHICH IS PRETTY NIHILISTIC???

Its like "Theres no point in examining why these people are the way they are bc everyones gonna suffer no matter which button you press in the end!! No you cant gain deeper optional insight either bc we're permanently rolling with THIS now." and what doesnt help are the extra contents like the voice dramas & interrogation questions where the characters themselves add more fuel to the fire by threatening eachothers or the wardens lives??? and it leads to people discussing 'Which Verdicts to Vote [to minimize the in universe damage so these fictional definitely-not-representatives-of-real-life-issues-&-its-consequences characters can be safe]' instead of 'Actual Insightful Character Analysis [to help eachother find our own conclusions no matter what it is & to improve ourselves as a person through examining fictional scenarios]' and it leads to COMPLETELY unproductive discussions and flame wars and its so upsetting to see.

Its fucking tearing itself (& the fandom) apart by making ITSELF perpetuate the black & white "Theres a CORRECT answer to this EXTREMELY morally gray & heavily nuanced situation!!!" thinking for the sake of criticizing (More like making a parody of) the prison system. Like wow who would've thought that the system designed so that literally everyone in it is turned into mere "GOOD" VS "BAD" caricatures of themselves would be a good sytem to EXAMINE PEOPLES COMPLICATED LIVES with. Does that make sense. Like isnt it ironic how what we call "Meta voting" is, in the end, more about these fictional characters lives than it is about us, as the actual living breathing audience who are capable of accepting things outside the dichotomy and are able to self reflect before its too late? us, the humans whos lives are more fragile and thus require more care from eachother than mere 2d drawings? Isnt that so ironic

AND I WANT TO MAKE IT CLEAR I GENUINELY, WITH ALL (or none in this case) OF MY HEART, DON'T AND CAN'T EVEN BLAME ANYONE WHO META VOTES. BECAUSE THE PRISON. THE PROJECT ITSELF. ENCOURAGES IT. AND IN THIS TRIAL AND EVEN THE PREVIOUS ONE WITH KOTOKO'S BEATINGS, PROVES THAT IT HOLDS WATER. MORE THAN ANY CHARACTER ANALYSIS. MORE THAN GENUINELY UNDERSTANDING WHERE THESE CHARACTERS ARE COMING FROM.

And the beautiful thing about it is that theres ALSO a discussion to be made about this, intentional or not, about how our actions weigh more than our thoughts / feelings which is ofc correct. This also ties in it with its theme, of taking people's lives and under what conditions is it considered something "Neutral" (even "Positive / Good") vs "Punishable" and ofc also the punishing & restraining that comes with getting a guilty verdict part, an action that leads to someone else's forced in-action.

Still though, in what way does this really help support the Actual Main Theme, which is understanding eachother / the prisoners, people who youve seen arguably the worst of? Its grappling between wanting to make the audience GENUINELY THINK and self reflect vs a show about people going through hell and you CAN be both but again!! with way milgram is run, because of the active audience participation it needs & encourages & the way it boxes the audience into these 2 choices, it was always going to snowball & sway more to the latter. Its becoming less of a thinkpiece & more just a shocking spectacle where everything is in "Superhell"

"Oh anyone can die in this prison if the audience messes up badly enough" do you think thats a good way to send your message. Just kill off a character whos arc wasnt even finished yet. When their deaths only serve to make things worse and thus more shocking and "High Stakes"? When their deaths are only punishing the audience who wanted to understand everyone in the prison by

1. forever 'Locking' said dead character(s) out of any new developments

2. Possibly make things more muddy & unclear in the trial, as the rest of the characters would be affected by the death(s) and would most likely close themselves off even more to cope with the trauma?

And. Like. Again I cant even get that mad bc can you blame the writers when theyre all forced to write shit on the fly based on OUR unpredictable reactions??? Ex. Did they expect Amane to get a guilty in the 1st trial despite the sympathetic MV which features a child repeatedly being abused?? They also have to choose and try to balance between making the horror of the situation clear while also providing a way for these present horrors to bring out the characters past crime. Its so complicated.

I really really hate how this happened. Please. If milgram had no audience participation and if it was instead just a linear story or 2 this wouldn't have happened.... everything would've been in the writer's control and thus we would've been guaranteed a more fulfilling story even if it lacks the explicit audience complicity to the violence & abuse. See: come on man, THE OFFICIAL PREQUEL NOVELS.

Alternatively, seeing as the trial 3 curtain call is LITERALLY called 'Route: Your [Curtain] Call,' implying that there were other routes we could've went on, it could've been a video game or better yet a visual novel. Then we'd be able to fully explore the characters as much as we want, even if, by resetting the game multiple times to get the routes to FULLY understand these charaters, it lessens the emotional impacts the deaths will have.

I dunno man i just wish it didnt get this complicated I just wish it was presented better....

I dont know man we're busy making sure people dont die so we dont miss out on any new info even though the act of 'making sure people dont die' is making us Waste the opportunities we have to get said new info. Ok let's take a favourite obscure character poll for example. let's say it's relatively small scale that receives about 400 voters per poll at leaston each of its rounds. people who are into smaller fandoms seek a blog that runs a poll about their small fandom. they Nominate their own candidate. when this candidate appears in the polls, because of how tumblr polls function (they appear on your dash from people you follow already, voting takes literally no more than 10 seconds if youre not super divided and then youre on your way. no need to register a name, or any other details. polls can be botted, you can use alternative accounts, there is no showing up in person.) the success of the candidate may almost entirely depend on the dedication of the person who nominated that character to promote and spread "propoganda" as its always called, to their followers and friends who may have had no actual previous opinion of this character. IT IS THE PICTURE OF A NIGHTMARE BIAS. they could not be less from representing the opinion of a general public or an actual body of people. It's less like gathering statistics and more like a popularity contest? but you're not shown all your options! maybe the opposing candidate is great but just doesn't have anybody who is obsessed with them to write a 3000 word essay on how they're so great! music blogs are really widespread too, either for knowing music or liking it, so that reduces bias, but still; people on tumblr are often young, often queer often leftist id say, they will be inclined by these demographics to recognise/like certain artists or genres less, certain genres more. like what im imagining is old, classic (but obscure and not trendy) bands might get voted out in favour of a broad-appeal modern artist. ooooh i shall answer this for each guy individually!

baxter has a sweet tooth he really likes candies, juice, and soda. his favorite flavors are all fruit and he loves trying new ones. i feel like i mightve mentioned it before but bax's favorite meal is probably sinigang and he tries to make it for the crew with the closest ingredients they have available. its comfort food for him it reminds him of home :3

clam is a robot and doesnt really need to eat but his favorite things in the world are data collection and analysis (so basically. learning) so he will be down to play around with any new food or drink he is unfamiliar with if it will provide information.

roy loves trying new things and particularly strong flavors which she and clam bond over. roys favorite drinks are probably juice or coffee, theyre staples for her.

roy is half alien (who knows what species) half human, and she doesnt have a strong preference for either cuisine so what shell snack on generally just consists of dried or fried fruit/vegetables from wherevers closest.

mealwise she just likes anything new or interesting honestly ahah. her favorite is probably ever changing.

tally honestly doesnt give too many fucks about food. he likes alcohol and blood (or equivalent fluid) and he likes meat. hes partial to the meat from his home planet but at the end of the day. meat is meat. he also likes carnivorous plants. he prolly snacks on jerky aha.

kip likes alcohol and coffee. he, as opposed to tally, enjoys a nice balance of meat and vegetable. hes very adaptable in the kitchen, though his strongsuit very much is seafood dishes. he tries very hard to learn new dishes and techniques for the sake of his crew and even if hes not very good at recreating it he can still make something decently edible. i dont think he snacks tbh i think he just drinks beverages.

Ramble about a special interest, now, go I wanna hear

okay okay okay so!! my favourote book series of all time ever literally ever is called the chronicles of st marys by Jodi Taylor. i literally love it so much UGH andni havent read any of the books in a while so my memory is a little rusty but it is definitely a special interest of mine fhshhfj. basically its about this group of historians who "investigate major historical events in contemporary time" (time travel). its actually incredibly respectful in the way it handles it too.(spoilers under the cut)

it mostly focuses on british history for the most part (its a british bookseries) but they do visit troy, the battle of agincourt in france, constantinople (during the sack might i add which. yeah. that was a stressful moment for sure....) etc etc. its so fucking funny like it has me in tears laughing whenever i read it but its literally do devastating at the same time (my favourite book in the series, "and the rest is history", made me cry 8 times in one read through because of how tragic it is...). but its really well written and researched and youd think with like 14 books in the series, multiple short stories and a spin off sister series it would get a bit stale but honestly it doesnt. the characters are so full of life and, well, character.

speaking of the characters. theres Maxwell who is the main character and who we see everything unfold through the eyes of. shes so funny and witty and doesnt know when to stop which can be her downfall sometimes. she acts a lot through anger and does things very impulsively especially in the beginning. it can lead to some very funny moments (like the time she drove her boyfriend's car into the lake when he gave her the cold shoulder and was rude to her (neither of their faults tbh its complicated fhdhhf)) i see a lot of myself in Max. theres a lot of hurt masked by anger inside of her. shes the reason why i chose the name Max fjdhhf

she faces a lot of struggles as well... but its okay because her best friend Tim is there to save the day (and piss on her a couple of times accidentally). He is my favourite character 100% hes funny in a smooth and charming way. literally such a puppy dog i just want to ruffle his hair and give him treats. also have i mentioned that all of these characters that work at st marys are 1000000000000% audhd like these goobers are so neurodivergent i love em all. but yeah Tim is a proper gentleman super sweet and caring and always there for you but also he ends up going through so much shit and it breaks him it fucking destroys him and its so sad to see...

Markham is my next favourite little guy hes such a little guy a little skrunkly wunkly woo a grimey little goober. his characterisation is pretty weak in the first couple of books but he soon becomes really important and fleshed out. hes the court jester the class clown the village idiot. super funny but he also has a tragic past and when he gets serious he gets serious. while Max and Tim were historians, the ones going out of jumps to different time periods to collect data, Markham is security. he makes sure the st marys building is safe and secure and also goes out on jumps with the disaster magnets also known as historians to make sure they dont get into trouble (its actually more like to get them out of trouble at the very last minute when they inevitably do get themselves into trouble tbh djbfhdj) hes indestructible. hes been shot, blown up, fell off of a 3 story tall burning building, frequently has some sort of illness like mange or worms, and the only bit of permenant damage hes recieved is that a chunk of his ear is missing.

then theres Leon... i have a love hate relationship with him. hes Max's love interest. original Leon from the first 3 books is fine i guess...... he does a lot of shitty things but so does Max honestly.... and their relationship gets ruined over one event where really Max was in the wrong but what she did was understandable... still incredibly morally wrong but yeah.... and neither of them stopped loving each other even when they were apart. and then. and then book 3 throws a massive curveball and kills him off. they never made up with each other. and then Max is rescued from being kidnapped by a younger version of Leon from before they met each other and its rough because this Leon is in a very bad spot and not doing well At All. hes almost a completely different person from who Max knew. and she has to convince him that life is worth living. she knows how the rest of his life will go already. she knows he'll meet her and be happy for a while. and she knows that this is the last time she'll ever see him again. and that she cant even say sorry to him now. and that he will never know what this meeting truly meant to her. its fucking heartbreaking and i ugly sobbed every time i read it. and then she dies gets plonked into a different universe (long story) and in this universe shes the one who died and Leon lived. now this Leon i absolutely love to bits hes so sweet and kind and caring. they both know how lucky they are to be given another chance and theyre not going to screw it up and they really do make it work between them.

theres do much more i could ramble about. like Dr Bairstow and Clive Ronan... or Dr Dowson and Professor Rapson and how those two are totally in love... or how Guthrie or the time Max got stuck in the past... but 14 books is a lot to cover fhshhf I'll leave you with the fact that i actually have a signed copy of one of the books which i am super super happy about !!

tbh I didnt think the original series would be this good! and the first few episodes of season 1 threw me mainly because there was bizarro inappropriate workplace banter about women and I’ve only properly known TNG so I was like um wh- but like that specific phenomenon Stopped. Sure it’s old but it’s... like... it’s not bad homies I think it holds up!

Like they still do that “theres a beautiful woman I am dumbstruck with love within 12 seconds thing” every other episode but I dont know man, I can forgive star trek for that, I at least long since got used to that on TNG lol im just kinda like sure ok you have chemistry and you’re instantly in love ok ok however you wanna live your life. tis a laugh but its fine.

But I dont think kirk is so bad either like. idk I got the impression that he was badly acted but hes literally not? maybe the choreography is all a little wacky in fights and stuff but lmfao as a character he’s fine, the acting is good?

anyway it’s all just been unexpected like some of its a little goofy or some of it takes a while to get to the point when the Message of the episode is quite obvious, but like. That’s just Star Trek for ya. I mean anyway like I enjoy games with shitty old graphics (or some outdated attitudes) I dont really find that kind of thing a barrier and it doesnt like take me out of the setting u know?

TLDR I was expecting adam west batman from this okay, like that’s the quicker way of explaining. I thought itd be fun and cheesy, and it IS, but it’s also. Straight up decent and good.

How did you get in to fate and drawing?

okay this is gonna get really really long explaining the step by step how i got into fate so im gonna put the keep reading thing on use

me getting fate is honestly because of dantes and jp giving out free ssr(this is the biggest reason i try to play fate again tho bc who wouldnt want a free ssr). like at first time i play fate is like 4 or 5 years (i forgot but dantes is alrdy playable). i play the game out of curiosity and bc the battle sprite looks good (since the other games sprites are in chibi form). saw dantes in support list and thought he looks neat w the design (even tho im not really drawn w the dr style). i WOULD keep on picking him in my battles too. ALSO. I REALLY AM STUPID AND DONT KNOW HOW PLAY THE GAME AT ALL THAT TIME DFHGDFGBGFK i would keep on picking my favs into the front line and keep on dying and wondering to myself what the fuck is wrong w my team????

also i did go through youtube for a bit searching about dantes and somehow watches his gameplay. and then his fucking valentine and his event story and actually got drawn into him but im not insane like how i am rn at that time.

idk i think im at like camelot and my game crashed? and my data is all lost too 💀🤡 so im like ok i gave up, game doesnt give me ssr too so im like goodbye game. you will be forgotten. but then got dragged by ankle when i saw an ad of the game giving out a free ssr and so here i am! LOL choosing karna (idk why im choosing him btw- i think he is good looking for awhile then got drawn into arjuna too but since i cant choose two somehow🙄so i went w karna) w the ssr ticket also somehow got to drag jalter home with a single 10 roll too which i decided to play awhile longer. my jp luck is actually really good too (except when im trying to roll for dantes pu tho smh 🙄)

and after i play the game like 2 months or so? i remembered about dantes and went to search for his banner and notices his banner is gonna happen at the summer fest, so i play na again (and too) LMAO also me being dumbass trying to move my jp server into na server bc i seriously dont know anything about the game so sdfhskdfhjsfk but also like im giving up and starting from new on na but here i am, we got np3 dantes and his besties 🥰 but also like im glad im not only drawn by dantes only but other characters too (tho not that insane with dantes) which will make me to draw not only dantes

about drawing. hm. i just like drawing from as a child tbh. but i prolly wont be able to draw how i am rn if i dont find out 'anime and manga' by watching 'shakugan no shana'(i dont remember this anime clearly, but shana is cool and the plot is good too). im like ohhh i love this kind of style and start trying to copy stuffs from internet and shit. i also TRIED to trace from the fucking television by slapping a piece of paper on it and start to trace. going through youtube with how to draw anime and shit like the other kids ofc.

also lol getting jealous over people who draw good which drives me trying to draw better and serious too (PLS DONT BE LIKE ME BTW!! it is such a toxic trait but it does help me a lot in improving if i have to admit it). also people around me actually support me doing art (ngl im surprised too lmao) which also made me trying to improve more and trying to chase my career as illustrator (would be nice if i can work on some animation company too, if that is possible..)

if you followed me at like 2020 im very sure you know how my arts actually look like. everything is so disproportionate, like i still dont know how to draw properly until i starts getting deep with dantes/ayako drawings. theyre the main reason i improve a lot and im so thankful of them for letting me having lots of inspirations for drawing and practices even though mostly are colored sketches. i hate to admit that jealousy and anger still have their role in my improvement too (if people criticizing the mistakes i did in my drawings when i know about them very well, i would be like so angry and went 'im gonna fucking pop your eyes and gonna dare you to find mistakes on my next better looking drawings)

I am VERY BAD at time and distances to be honest, something like a couple weeks by foot sounds like a decent distance between two major cities (esp considering how much of kryta is western europe and that doesnt seem completely incompatible with real life western europe) but i have a lot of trouble picturing how much that is, and tbh i'd need to add hundreds of villages and quite a few minor towns in between anyway to get something that feels like RealityTM.

Funny answer is the game is 100% of the reality of tyria. You CAN do the one-hour walk between LA and DR. the whole world is smaller than france. Not what i believe but really funny to think about.

YES IT'S JUST HUBRIS. The "some species just are Better at x" fantasy trope definitely is rooted in real life racism and i hate it so i really believe that all differences are cultural (because the implications otherwise feel kinda gross). And considering how high and mighty they are about it, them not sharing the education and science cuz "nah you humans/sylvari/charr/norn definitely are too stupid to understand" makes sense, but hopefully with everything that's been happening, asura seeing others make super cool tech and stuff, they'll realize that everyone will profit if they share their knowledge on a deeper level >:3

7. How does an average Sylvari’s average day look like?

im bad at average help. more seriously they don't feel like they have a structured work day like we do (and i assume most other races do too bc that's the vibe they give. gotta work in the fields or make tech or idk what). Maybe the Socialist Utopia where they come give a hand at the Necessary Jobs for a bit (just thinking about how the dream might mean everyone Knows how most of those work?) and then just chill out doing the hobby they feel called to. Overall i think they have a lot of ~empathy~ and respect of other individuals' liberties so theres not much being forced on others and people can just vibe however they want without having to stress about paying rent or shit like that.

11. Are magic abilities learned or are people born with them? A combination of both?

Mostly learned i think! There might be some biological stuff that might help somehow, like how some people learn how to draw way faster than others, and some others struggle A LOT but if the world has magic, i'd let anyone learn to channel it! And I think the way gw1 works might support it, with all the profession trainers who teach us skills..... The captured elites might be some form of "i saw magic used this way, so i am learning from seeing my magic used against me"? I really feel like i'm making shit up on the spot im sorry but also what did u expect from this idiot /lh

hhhh so i was a bit no when i saw the question at first but ive been Thinking so. LETS RECAP THE DATA WE HAVE.

Apparently a dev confirmed malyck did Not Come from a blighting tree during a live or on reddit or whatever i can't check ever gw2wiki source okay, which confirms that whatever the most complicated answer to the question i come up with is most likely true.

The wiki says the seed for the pale tree was a blighting tree seed stolen by Ronan but the source seems to be an artbook i don't have so idk if it's the wiki people extrapolating because i can't check. so first let's assume it's the case: NOTHING is stopping anyone else from having stolen a seed too and planted a tree and theyre all kind of cousins (sylvari/mordrem/other tree ppl) which is very cute and that feels like the most canon-compliant explanation of malyck bUT it's not fucked up enough to my taste so i'm gonna say (for the sake of argument at least idk which option is alex-canon yet) the pale tree came from just something else. Ronan and Ventari planted a lil gay tree and some sleeping mordremoth magic made it Alive (because we need plant dragon connection anyway (we couuld fuck that up but that sounds like too much work for now)) but there were too many good gay vibes so the tree ended up making overall nice and very gay plants. WHICH MEANS. there's nothing preventing sleeping mordremoth power to just vibe with trees that are supposed to be significant in other ways and awaken them to make lil plant beings.

Downside to all this is why haven't we seen them in HoT, BUT maybe they were too far away. Maybe a chaotic neutral quaggan planted a cactus in elona and mordremoth made choya because of that. Idk man.

ok so there's plenty of things that apply the same way to the both of them - like hyperfixating on their characters when planning roleplay, definitely the whole thing about how domspace (well, subspace for magnus, but u get it) feels a bit like hyperfocus? like his senses are just honed in and particularly for an adhd person that's just great news. like usually his head is all over the place but when he's in subspace he gets that quiet and he's just focusing on his own pleasure and everything else quiets down for a bit

in that sense i feel like it's the opposite of what anon said about being overwhelmed, like, i feel like the enhanced sensations are good for magnus because again adhd = brain desperately looking for stimuli at all times, so when he's engaging in like, orgasm delay/denial, gangbang and the like, he has a clear thing to focus on, sometimes even more than he can really process, and that kind of satisfies his brain?

but anyWAY yeah. my point is, subdrop can be a problem so it’s something that he tries to be prepared for, have some snacks before and after, do proper aftercare, etc. like i said, it’s mostly preventable, although sometimes stuff like this happens even if you do your best. but anyway

and there’s another thing too, which is that one possible sympton of subdrop is feeling rejected and alone. which is super fun when you have rsd! so yeah. subdrop can be very bad for magnus. and like, don’t get me wrong, i’m not saying it happens every time or super frequently or something, but it IS something he has to watch out for possibly more than others haha man thinking about how camille didn’t care about this at ALL. he knows it can be bad, but he’s also learnt how to prevent it for him, and as the healthy bastards that they are, magnus and alec talk about that in length. during alec’s Research™ he comes across that concept and he brings it up with magnus and makes sure that he knows everything there is to know about how and when magnus experiences subdrop and how to deal with that. he also makes magnus promise to let him know if he ever has it, because alec WILL drop everything to go and give him extra care. and it’s sweet

on a better note! BDSM has been shown to be associated with lower levels of rejection sensitivity among practitioners. so that’s nice? like obviously magnus won’t find the cure for his rsd with BDSM or anything, but i like the idea of magnus opening his eyes one day and realizing that hey, ever since alec and i have been doing play more often, i’ve been feeling a little less affected by rejection?

I can kinda speak about my own experience/thoughts on the topic if that’s ok? ;; ❤️💕

I do think we go through various types of depressions and anxiety - as not everyone’s experience can be generalized and expected to be the same as each other. That means the procedure for helping each individual might not apply to everyone, if something fails - that doesn’t mean you’re ‘failing’ everything (even if your brain tells you that you are sometimes!) - it just means that you might have to consult a different method of working through this, that might not be this particular method that you tried. 

I don’t necessarily think that I can compare my own troubles with anxiety/depression with others and expect my recovery to be the same as theirs - my journey may be different, due to social norms/constructs and financial abilities or even- energetic disposition. But I do think it helps a lot to speak about it and share it with others (when I can/who are receptive and won’t invalidate this issue) that can certainly help motivate me to get the help I need, or even just cheer-lead myself on when I need something positive to think about.

Heres the thing, correlations sometimes doesn’t equate to things being mutually exclusive to each other ;v; Which you’re exactly right about! ❤️💕 Not all gemini moons might suffer from the same problem as each other, since houses can often bring different elements to it  as well - and certainly, aspects being made that can add or subtract, reflect restrictions with how it’s working as well! ❤️💕  

Not only this, but I do think that – hm, mental health can still be a pretty big but vague subject we haven’t explored or set concrete stones on. It’s a fairly modern concept? As in being widely popular to identify these health issues and ‘diagnose’ ourselves/someone with these – well, concepts (i.e. depression, anxiety, bipolar, etc.) It’s been prominent since a long time ago I agree, but there’s also been less concrete/structured organization to deal with the topics - and we’re still, hm, a little reliable with figuring out how to help completely/deal with it as a society still. Not to mention the consequences- stigmatization and unsafe (sometimes even morally or ethically unfair) agenda that it brings.

With this said, there’s a foundation to each sign that’s in it’s energetic signature. I wouldn’t say all gemini placements are depressed - because the signs signature comes through with the will of the planet. A Gemini Moon would be different from a Gemini Mars- because the function is different. 

I do think that in this particular case, because it’s in the Moon that is receptive/reflective of the subconscious and emotions (of self/others) - the constantly moving air mutable signature can certainly initiate specific issues within the moon’s domain due to it’s quality (as an air mutable, y know?) - but the concept of depression/anxiety and how we deal with it today is quite modern. So we may link – ‘how to help’ with these qualities of what the problem is, when we see our mutables, and try to use the facility/resources we have now to help us get through them?

The concept of mental health and how we proceed to deal with and work through it is quite a modern thing. 

The signature of each signs, it’s qualities in each planets can be different

Thus, we may often feel the need to link them both together and correlate them in a way - to help us ‘improve/understand ourselves’, which is the core foundation of modern astrology (self-help/psychological fulfillment)

But separated from that - the foundation of mental health (and support surrounding it) is still a little shaky in it’s effectiveness and organization. The quality of the signs/it’s signature predates the concept of mental health institutions/healthcare with mental issues. 

There’s not enough– hm, evidence, because of our lack of fully understanding mental health issues/problems– to actually bring the idea of signs being associated to mental health together.

ok but, what is Kisekae?

Kisekae is a flash game/application that works mostly as a character creator, using a mix of interchangeable parts, bits you can move around freely, and lots of sliders to change sizes and positions. Think of it as the 2D version of the Sims/Spore creators.

ngl it started as a k-on hentai game back in like 2011?? there’s still k-on girls and lewd stuff around but the focus is far from it now.

maybe when you open it for the first time, the tabs look like this. THIS IS BAD it means it loaded on the easy mode.

click here to unlock the Expert mode. it sounds scary, but it’s actually been the default mode for years. now you should see a lot of tabs.

LETS TALK ABOUT THE IMPORTANT STUFF FIRST

SAVING.

This is the save tab. “SAVE” and “LOAD” save the entire scene in a .txt (all models, background, items etc). "Export” shows the codes of the selected models, so you can copy them and store them somewhere. You go to “Import” to paste codes and load characters. The small pencil button opens a window to save and load entire scenes in the app’s cookies. It’s very handy but you will lose everything if you clear your cookies. The last two buttons save or load ALL the data you have in the game, aka all the scenes you saved with the pencil button.

KISEKAE DOESNT HAVE AN UNDO BUTTON SO SAVE OFTEN IN CASE YOU MESS UP

TAKING PICTURES

fOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT DARE TAKE SCREENSHOTS there’s a handy way to save better quality pics. First slider is the zoom. It’ll be your best friend to get closer and edit faces and hairstyles and details and such. See that 05/05? That’s the PNG quality, so make sure it’s always at 5/5. The squares button next to the PNG one will make the background transparent when you snap a picture. Very cool, bc kisekae backgrounds are kinda ugly. The icon on the far right lets you select a region of the screen that’s great too

STOP THE AHEGAO

Next. If you click on the model’s clothes you’ll notice they disappear and they get surprised. The automatic emotions were good when it was a porn game but to actually create content it’s just annoying idk why it still automatically loads like that tbh.

Anyway, go here to set the facial expressions to manual mode. The “Select/All” switch makes you edit all the models at the same time or just one.  (Note: as pochi adds more tabs, they can get moved around and be put in a different group. just keep looking thru the pages until you find the icon you want)

HAVE ONLY ONE MODEL

You’ll most likely don’t need all 9 models at the same time, so you can go here to deactivate them. tbh it’s placed in a really weird place... a year ago it wasnt as confusing idk why Pochi added this update :/

TIME TO HAVE FUN

My recommendation is clicking on everything to see what happens. That’s honestly the best way to learn how to use it. Instead of explaining how to make good looking stuff (i cant do that bc. there’s not a single way of “doing things right” this is artistic expression u do what u do) i’ll jsut give some tips and tricks

1. HOLD SPACE TO GO OVER THE LIMITS OF MOST SLIDERS. It works wonders. Make heads smaller, shoulders broader, eyes thinner, hair pieces larger, bend time and space with the unlimited power of space key.

2. HAIR PIECES ARE NOT HAIR PIECES. BELTS ARE NOT BELTS. RIBBONS ARE NOT RIBBONS. Think of them as shapes to make stuff. Use hair pieces to make capes. Use the lines in the facemark section to draw a new nose. Make entire pieces of clothing out of belts and ribbons. The only downside is that if you move the head, hair pieces and ribbons move with them so making clothes out of ribbons turns your characters into statues

3. CLICK ON CLOTHES TO CHANGE STUFF. If you click on some clothing pieces you can change some things like unbuttoning shirt buttons, opening sweaters, putting sunglasses on their head and removing parts of scarves.

4. THE DEFAULT PALETTE IS UGLY. please do use a custom one

5. YOU RAN OUT OF SLOTS? Use the free floating items on the 3rd set of tabs. You can have extra belts, ribbons, arms, furniture and speech bubbles. Even load external images. But keep in mind extra stuff is not attached to characters, so it won’t move around with them or save in their individual codes.

6. USE OTHER PEOPLE’S EXPORTS RESPONSIBLY. There are lots of people on deviantArt and the Pochi forums (official Kisekae forums) that make character, clothing or hairstyle exports for other people to load and use on their creations (like Sims mods!). However, most dA people have rules if you want to use them on something you upload, so make sure to read each user’s rules!

7. TECHNICALLY THERE ARE NO MALE, MUSCULAR OR BIG BODY TYPES. You can force it out, but we’ve been forever cursed with the hip size being linked to the leg size. So your guys will either have feminine hips or scrawny ass legs. There aren’t any muscle options apart from abs, and the most similar thing we have for chub is a pregnant looking belly. You can always edit it with photoshop later or suffer and make muscles and fat with belts and hairs.
