i'm sorry i know i'm always a raging cunt about this but 'the way the internet used to be' is not some aspirational thing. that was the 'taking an early loss to establish market dominance' phase of business. IT WAS ALWAYS DOOMED TO FAIL. IT WAS NOT MATHEMATICALLY POSSIBLE FOR IT TO LAST.

youtube BLEEDS money. all major social media platforms do too, and they always have. successfully funding a website with donations is vanishingly rare because most people simply will not pay for access to most websites.

the small forums you nostalgically yearn for?

for the past decade i've watched mxrp (once msparp, AKA mspaintadventures roleplay) a tiny text-only chat site struggle for survival and collapse and fail OVER and OVER because despite the demand, despite the love of its userbase, keeping it up and running costs money and requires technical know-how and a lot of man hours. not coincidentally, this technical know-how is in extremely high demand, and there is not enough to go around.

how much html are you willing to learn? how many websites are you willing to pay for directly, every single year? maybe even every month?

the only way to fix the internet long-term is with MASSIVE government subsidies and regulation. that is what we need to focus on. that's the way forward.

Pet peeves / dealbreakers: my BIGGEST dealbreaker honestly at the moment is just. being a proshipper LMAO. fucking freaks. but aside from that being the obvious things like being unsympathetic to my low activity which ... while i know it can be frustrating, i try to make it abundantly clear without going into insane amount of personal detail about my (many) medical issues impeding my activity, haha. i do want to be more active! nagging at me to be when i'm not physically or mentally able to maintain it isn't going to convince me.

uh. well! i first got into proper roleplaying waaay back when Pokémon X came out in like,,, 2013?? and i figured tumblr was a more ""sophisticated"" platform considering i come from like. msparp and omegle, and honestly i've just stayed because even when i didn't know what i was doing, plenty of people were kind enough to make me want to stay and keep creating and expanding different characters so. i'm still around the rpc because my muses mean a lot to me and i like exploring different scenarios with them 😌

boring, basically. it used to consist of me just waking up, booting up Genshin or whatever my hyperfixation was at that time, then playing till i passed tf out, but as of late it's... still that, except now i have to work in the middle of all that

just today actually!! earlier in my shift, a little girl came in to buy a candy bar and only had a dollar, but tax made it More than a dollar, so i just used a dollar of my own to cover the rest of it and she looked so happy aaaa,,, technically i don't think i was supposed to do that but. money is stupid and she couldn't have been older than like 12 so it was just a nice thing to do 👉👈

perhaps a hot take, but when it comes to headcanons about a character's orientation, i strongly believe that as long as it's unspecified in canon, i don't think anyone should be shamed or made to feel guilty for headcanoning them a certain way. some characters are absolutely coded a certain way, i agree, and there are some characters i personally can't see any other way. but if a mun is more comfortable with muses that match their own orientation or just has valid reasons for writing them that way, then making them feel bad about that is incredibly shitty. have your opinions, whatever, but i guarantee no one wants to hear them if it'll make them upset. just hush <3

also, second opinion no one asked for: shitting on a rarepair because they haven't interacted in canon is stupid and makes absolutely no sense. just because it isn't explicitly shown in canon doesn't mean it hasn't happened, and even if it never does... so what? as long as it's a ship between two adult muses, why is it a big deal and who tf cares?? is rp not like, entirely about putting characters in different situations anyway???

oh gosh, uh. playing video games and,,, i dunno, watching youtube??? i don't really do much at all man lmaoo. i honestly couldn't tell you how i "got into" youtube bc that's just always been there for me BUT when i was like six or sevenish, i used to watch my step-dad play GTA: san andreas and. i thought the gameplay was fun and so i asked to try it and it all went downhill from there 🧍‍♀️

58. How important is writing to you?

very. i'm the kind of person who's always thinking of something new creativity-wise, and a lot of what i think i feel gets twisted into different stories for different characters from time to time, but i clearly wasn't meant to be a musician or an artist, so writing is basically my only creative outlet and the only way i can properly express myself.

HOW LONG (MONTHS/YEARS?): Well, I have been RPing since I was like... twelve. And I’ve been writing since even before that, so eh. 8-9 years or so. PLATFORMS YOU’VE USED:  Skype, Tumblr, Discord, RP Sites, Msparp, Chatzy (Oh god it’s been a while) and the chat rooms of a gaming site I haven’t been on in ages ahahah.  BEST EXPERIENCE:  Well I met my significant other in a disastrous Msparp experience. The basis was fine, it was a Soul Eater RP open to all fandoms and we were both OFF characters but then uh... Bad People™ showed up. But I got his Skype and we’re dating now, so best in the long term.

3. WRITING PREFERENCES

FLUFF, ANGST OR SMUT:  I’M ALWAYS A SLUT FOR FLUFF   Ahem. Fluff, Angst, and then Smut. GENRE:  Horror is great honestly and I love it but ah... I lie a lot of fantasy too? Also Sci-Fi though I’m not that good at it ahaha;; I like writing most genres honestly.  PLOTS OR MEMES:  Both? Memes make for good crack or light hearted play, but plotting can allow for a lot more variety especially because you can get stuff like “Can this happen to you character” out of the way with plots. LONG OR SHORT REPLIES:  Depends! I like both but sometimes I’m just in the mood for one or the other. BEST TIME TO WRITE: I’m a night Owl.
