very rambly explainations for each image under the cut ^_^

1.) aug 28th, 2024 -- i started this around the time where i'd just gotten into something else and basically just detached myself from the dca... and therefore all my art with them got way more experimental and personal to me and my tastes bc i'd just stopped caring about them LOL

i do wish i'd finished this one though because i love how the body looks! i don't remember ever starting this with much of a plan though and i very visibly got bored once i drew all the fun parts (i hate drawing their legs)

2.) oct 1st, 2024 -- this could technically be considered vent artwork? i wanted to make something purposefully grotesque and unnerving because i was just really angry at the fandom all the time... and it doesnt help that whenever i get into something new i go through a weird breakup phase with my old interest (which might not make sense to some people lol) which causes some weird feelings.

a less angsty thing i can mention is that i was also very purposefully trying to be more relaxed about the way i paint things here! i usually strictly adhere to a set palette i make for myself, so this drawing was me pushing myself out of that comfort zone and forcing myself to freestyle the colors a bit... the result didnt really end up how i wanted it to be though (^^;; )

3.) oct 9th, 2024 -- iirc this was me elaborating on a physical sketch i made where i was playing around with their face... i actually still really, really like this style and this drawing might've been the best way i've ever done it. fluid and expressive but still grotesque enough for it to stay true to their original design! this is the thing i reference whenever i draw them this way (and if you look at my most recent post you might notice some similarities?)

4.) may 11th, 2024 -- MANN i wish i'd finished this one!!! it was a redraw of this drawing based off of "chimera" by deco*27!! i've always associated that song with the dca but i didn't give it justice the first time i drew it due to the time constraints so i wanted to do it better!!! but then i got stuck on the hands 😭

if i was ever going to pick one of these back up again there's a good chance it'd be this one

5.) jul 18th, 2024 -- nothing truly profound to say here as this was actually just a test... never got around to adding a body to it, mainly because i just like drawing their face more than i like drawing the rest of them. you can probably look at all of these and realize that for yourself though LMAO

I mean it definitely does imo, but I ruled out a bunch of WIP options that technically count as Kon-napping for one reason or another, 'cuz keeping the list to five options is just way easier for me. Keeping open five documents to jump around is just way kinder on the ol' laptop, y'know? Though for you, fren, since you have been an excellent source of inspo/motivation in the past, I will totally give you some panic-adoption I already had written and just hadn't posted yet, lol. 💛

“I didn’t call ahead, so–oh, damn, how did I forget to call, it’s practically lunchtime,” Superman mutters under his own breath. Match stares blankly at him. So does Thirteen, but Match can’t even bring himself to be irritated about it, because it’s the only possible logical reaction to be having right now. Or just ever, possibly, in regards to Superman. 

“Uh,” Thirteen says, shifting uncomfortably in the air and still half-behind Match, annoyingly but unsurprisingly. “Like, we could just . . . do this some other time, maybe, we don’t need to, y’know . . . bug ‘em or whatever. Like, we don’t need to do, uh . . . whatever you’re doing all at once.” 

Superman once again gets that strange look that Match would call “pained” on anyone else’s face, then just–sighs, and shakes his head. 

“I should’ve done it already,” Superman says, his voice just barely tight. “For both of you.” 

“I mean–we literally don’t even know what you are doing, man,” Thirteen says, looking frustrated and uncertain. “Like, you said you didn’t want us to go back to Cadmus or the Agenda but like, then you said we should go home even though we were already at the Fortress, and then you brought us all the way out here to your–to, uh–you know, and–” 

“To my parents’ house,” Superman says. 

. . . Match actually should just take Thirteen and go to Cadmus right now. Superman is clearly an irresponsible idiot of an owner, if he’s going to keep telling him these things. 

Really, the only thing Superman’s done so far as his owner is steal him and also dress him up in a little outfit, from a certain point of view, Match realizes, and tries not to grimace at the thought of being, effectively, another damn dog. 

Which–he is that, more or less. Obviously. He’s–a possession. A weapon. A thing. Not–

Just–the same treatment as the dog, short of getting his damn ears scratched. 

It’s . . . 

Are you fucking STUPID? he wants to ask instead of finishing that thought, but that wouldn’t be any smarter–or safer–to do. 

“Uh,” Thirteen says, and swallows uncomfortably. “Uh–yeah. That.”

The Shadowhunters Chronicle: Extras and Deleted Scenes

So I've been working on this on and off for quite some time now, and I figure that even if it wasn't finish yet I could still start putting it out there in case anyone was interested, or had been working on a similar document.

The document is exactly what the title says, a compilation of all the extras and deleted scenes available to us (so far) (and as far as I've gone as of today, may 2024).

Indeed some extras can be find on the internet but aren't technically allowed to be shared yet through official channels, publishing houses having the rights to exclusivity for a certain amount of time (as mentioned in one of Cassie's newsletter https://mailchi.mp/cassandraclare/20221206-7908076?e=eaba486123)

Like I've said it ain't finish yet, but it also won't ever really be finish for quite a few years with more books coming... So I figured fuck it! let's share the wip ;)

Happy STS! I'm a big toponymy nerd, so can you tell me a bit about how you decide on names for places? Lathsbury, for example, meaning "loathsome + fortified town" in Old English, or Argos meaning "shining/bright" in Ancient Greek, do these hint at what those places are like to live in? Does it describe something in their history instead? Do the linguistic roots help give an idea of the kind of cultures/clothes/food you'd find there? Or is it more how the names look/sound on the page? (all valid and interesting reasons for naming a place)

happy (belated) sts! this ask ended up getting done now because it was a long answer and so i couldn't finish it in one sitting when i first got this ask so eosdj thank you for asking sm and making my brain churn <3

i quite love etymology in general SO i totally get where you're coming from and i'm happy to answer for a few of the major places that i (currently) have in the extensive world of terrae :> (i was gonna do all of them but then these explanations started getting long asf and depression is turning my brain to shit lmaooooo) but, 2 caveats before i start rambling: (1) i've had this wip since i was 12, and this is relevant to my second point (2) as i've gotten older and continued to flesh out this story more and more i've kept some things the same (such as place names) and retroactively added explanations after as to why things are the way that they are lol. because of that, some of these won't be as "deep" and thought out--or seem like they don't make much sense BUT with many of these names, it was child-vacant taking the reins on what was being named and now it's adult-me's responsibility to make it make sense LMAO.

but anyway, without further ado, have the toponymy of 3(ish) major places in terrae:

LATHSBURY

i'm actually very fascinated as to where you found the definition of lathsbury because in all my years of having this wip, i've never been able to stumble across any succint meaning like that - its really cool! but, to be fair to myself, lathsbury is more a story relevant name and not much real world consideration was taken in naming it (meaning that this is one of the place names where kid me named it and now adult me is like, how do i make this name make sense lmao)

as to why i decided this should be the place name as a kid--genuinely i couldn't tell you. it was one of things where i thought of it, it sounded good, so decade and some change later, its still stuck.

the IN WORLD explanation is that both the people themselves (the Lathsburians) and the main kingdom of this world (The Kingdom of Lathsbury) are named after the Guardian of the first age, Lath of Argos, Guardian of Valor--as he directly helped save their ancestors from certain extention in the years before the creation of The Labyrinth (though funnily enough in a meta sense, i chose lath's name as lath because the city was already named lathsbury lmao). anyway, to learn the backstory about that, i made a handy little powerpoint about it HERE (and i have yet to make a part 2 about The Nomads specifically, but those will become the Lathsburians tm).

regarding the actual meaning; because i have a whole system of how i go about naming people in this wip (which is a conversation for another day), when i went looking for name etymology for lath, the meaning i found that i enjoyed the most was "lion" (though the bamboo meaning is also nice bc that can tie into perserverence or relentlessness)--and so to tie that back to everything regarding lathsbury, and the lore and all of that the technical toponymy of Lathsbury would be (the) Town Fortified by Lions; Lathsburians pride themselves on being "Lion People" as they model a lot of their behavior and vaules on the attributes of Lath: fearless, brave, relentless & working for the greater good of their people (as lions have prides and they work together and all that shit).

EROS & ARGOS

the citadel of Argos was the first city ever constructed in Terrae and was the one safe haven that Terraneans had before The Day of Fissures (see afore-linked powerpoint lol). i mostly picked the name Argos because Eros as a city already existed; and i liked the fact that the names are similar (because of their Greek origins they have similar sounds /shrug) because essentially, these two cities cannot exist without one another (in modern Terranean history tm). in fact, the two cities used to be combined under one banner in the years after The Day of Fissures & before The War of Lathsburian Succession--in that couple hundred year period, Eros/Argos were referred to as "Aegos" which is essentially a combination of the two city names (by adding the 'e' for Eros as all the other letters are p much the same) & this is also why some characters - as a tidbit/fun fact, have the surname Aegos (ie: Lady Illiana Aegos).

because of that coinjoinment the people from Eros/Argos call themselves Aegean even to this day--and in their world Aegean means something akin to "first people" -- this is because of its relation to Argos being the first city of Terrae, so thus, the Aegeans are the First People. so Argos doesn't necessarily mean shining/bright in this context--though you could argue that the attitude of Aegeans (generally) make them feel as though they are the shining light of the Terranean people and that the rest of the mainland has gone astray from their true purpose, which is liberating Argos from the clutches of chaos and restoring the old capital to its former glory. tm.

edit: also also, eros means “love” and shit. so eros existing is sort of “for the love of argos” because they want to reclaim it. tm.

HYTRÖTH

last one i'm gonna do for this giant ramble lmao. tl;dr this is a name that i also picked as a kid by throwing random letters together and adding an umlat on top bc i thought it looked cool, but then in retrospect i realized that little me was really onto something with this and i literally didn't even know it. let me explain.

so, Ö has a sort of "ouh" sound, with more of an emphasis on the uh. this makes the name of this place sound more like "High Truth" instead of "High Troth" (though if you call it either its literally fine lol, i misprounounce my own shit allllllll the time just look at he who smites the sun anyway tho)

the reason High Truth is REALLY genius is because Hytröth is considered to be the birthplace of the goddess MUINENS--who, among other things, is a goddess of justice (she's kinda similar to Athena if you want a sort of real-world comparison though of all the gods she's the only one with a specific inspo in mind and even then as i've developed this wip, she's grown so much as a deity. i should also mention generally speaking that its the proper way to refer to deities by putting their names in all caps unless they're minor deities such as Palanthia, The Lady of the Mist, or Nitarr and so on). so her birthplace being known as "high truth" you can see why i think that's really fucking cool.

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

198! Hetalia really upped the work count out of all my fandoms, but I also crossposted a lot of my better Yu-Gi-Oh fics from my days back on FF.net. I've still got a huge amount to crosspost from LJ, DW and tumblr though.

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

998,583. It's taken me 14 years on AO3 but my next fic update is going to finally take me over a million words and I'm so excited!

3. What fandoms do you write for?

My main fandom right now is Hannibal (and the associated HEU), but I'm also working on some uber long Hetalia works in the background. (The latter won't see the light of day until they've got a substantial amount done for them.) I started out posting fic online with Yu-Gi-Oh, then Death Note and Yuri on Ice. I've also worked on a lot of fics for CLAMP's works, primarily Tsubasa, Cardcaptor Sakura and XxXHolic.

4. Top five fics by kudos?

Due to the kudos requirement, this is obviously only from my stuff on AO3 (because I actually think an anon work I wrote on a kinkmeme back in the day would also feature here otherwise). 1. Commencer Par La Faim (Hannibal) - 1,470 2. The Lindworm's Lullaby (Hannibal) - 503 3. if(touched by love's own secret)we (Yuri on Ice) - 382 4. Apples (Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles) - 379 5. Heartbox (Hetalia) - 299 The last one completely mystifies me.

5. Do you respond to comments?

I really try to. I've got much better about responding to comments in the past few years, I think, but I'm still more likely to remember to respond to comments on WIP longfics than on oneshots. (Sorry!!!) Lately, I've fallen into the habit of replying to comments on the most current chapter of a multichaptered fic as I'm doing the final edits on the next chapter, because they often prompt me not to forget things. ;;; (So, if you receive a belated reply to your comment on a WIP, I'm likely going to update it soon.) I really do appreciate every comment though, and they've been such a source of inspiration and good feeling over the years. I'm still going back and trying to say thank you to comments left on my works years ago... It's late, but I do want to express my thanks.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Bold of you to assume I ever finish anything. I don't tend to write works that have endings that fall primarily into the angst territory (I don't think!). Bittersweetness, usually. A lot of my hetalia stuff is technically angsty because it's open-ended and based on real history and history sucks. Obviously it's not posted yet, but the ending to Commencer Par La Faim is probably going to get people coming after me with torches and pitchforks. For posted works, I guess I'll go with my first ever completed multichaptered work from my YGO days: Both Sides of the Border. The whole fic is an exploration of love, remembrance and death (as best as I could write it as a purple prose-obsessed 15 year-old).

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Bold of you to assume I ever finish anything x2. Many of my hetalia oneshots fill me with the warm n' fuzzies due to their endings. Yes, this answer is a cop-out.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

None currently, but I have done on multiple separate occasions in the past.

9. Do you write smut?

I do, but it doesn't come to me easily at all. I wish I was a better smut writer and I'm really working on it, but I still don't think my current stuff is up to where I want it be. People seem to enjoy it though, so I must be doing something right? At least a little?

10. Craziest crossover?

...Sorry, I'm blanking. I wrote YGO/Harry Potter back in the day, and I've Daemon AUs all over the place (His Dark Materials). CLAMP fanworks are all, technically, huge crossovers.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Once, a YGO piece I'd rather not mention now. My concepts have gotten ripped off a bunch over the years though - which I wouldn't even mind, I'm delighted to share my ideas freely (and, hell, not have to write the fics I want to see myself!), but if you're going to use my exact phrasing (and hours of research!) in your work could you at least give me a mention? It's a little hurtful sometimes, but I try not to let it bother me unless it's super overt.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

I gave full permission for someone on a private Chinese fanpage to translate any of my engport works into Mandarin, and I know they translated a lot of the oneshots! (Obviously, I can't link you.) athousandnights translated the prancing and pawing of each little hoof into Mandarin. VanessaLocke translated Splinters & Mosaics into Vietnamese. @dr-fumbles-mcstupid/Dr_Fumbles_McStupid is also currently poddficcing my WIP fic, Poems - translating to audio.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes! In every kind of way. It's wonderful to do with a friend/someone you have a good rapport with, and it's a good way to develop a friendship, I think. I still find the thought of co-writing with a stranger assigned to work with me nerve-wracking though, and those situations have never worked out terribly well for me in the past. @-@ I'm currently doing a lot of 'alpha reader' work for a few friends. It's the writing part of writing a fic that isn't really putting down the words. (Plotting, pacing, research, editing.) I'm too busy with my own solo work to do any more right now.

14. All time favourite ship?

Haven't got one. I've got my darlings across every fandom I've looked at and written for.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

16. What are your writing strengths?

Writing about food and scents. I've been told I'm pretty good with conveying the senses associated with them pretty well, and I've been scolded frequently by readers for making them hungry with my food scenes! (This is a fantastic source of glee to me now that I'm writing in a fandom where the food is, often, people. Accidentally converting people to cannibalism one fic at a time.) I also think I'm pretty good at writing about clothes - how they look, how they're put on and taken off, the sensation and movement of fabric - and capturing the voices of characters. Also, mostly because of a lot of the above, establishing a setting by sneaking in lore.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Long and extremely complicated sentences. I'm trying to get better at this, but commas, hyphens, colons and semi-colons are my comfort blanket. (Periods? Never heard of her.) The utter inability to shut up. Every fic is longfic these days. ...How incredibly slowly I write.

18. Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

It can be incredibly interesting, scintillating and useful, adding a lot to a fic - in moderation. Dropping huge paragraphs in the middle of your work in a language that isn't the main one you're writing in is just confusing and offputting, in my opinion, but sprinkles here and there offer insight into your worldbuilding and your characters' backgrounds/voices. I do occasionally write characters speaking other languages in my work, but I've usually got to have a good reason for it. I don't always provide translations either - but when I don't, it's also for a reason. XD;;; It's usually either that I'm keeping secrets from the reader, I think the speech is evident given the context, or I want the reader to have the delight of discovering what what I've written means (this usually means it's a funny pun).

19. First fandom you wrote in?

Cardcaptor Sakura - or Cardcaptors, as the dub was called in the UK. I was 8 and got hooked, and got my two closest friends hooked, and I got so upset that it finished I wrote fanfic for it to tie up loose emotional ends in the plot. XD;;; The first fanfic I ever wrote and posted online was for Yu-Gi-Oh, on FF.net. I was 11. The first chapter was up for a week before I read more works and realised how bad a writer I was, and I took it down immediately. My first months in proper fandom were a sharp learning curve!

20. Favourite fic you've written?

I'm gonna be a sappy loser here and say 'everything I've written (even the unposted stuff) for the Gods AU' and Commencer Par La Faim. I'm so glad I worked up the courage all those years ago to approach Eden (@edencomplex) and Hoof (@hoofae) and ask if I could write something for this cool AU they were chattering about and drawing stuff for. I found two wonderful friends and a wider home in a little corner of fandom, and the AU itself really expanded my ability to research things and develop different writing styles. I'm working on more things for the AU now because I really do want to finish it as my, Hoof's and Eden's legacy - and, of course, in Eden's memory. Commencer Par La Faim is a WIP, but I think it's rapidly become a favourite for me because it's the culmination of so many different things. It's brought me friends in the Hannibal fandom. It's a crowning - and bloody good, imo - example of my developed and mature voice as a writer. And it's so fun to work on. I also think it's a fantastic little bite of the a/b/o trope. I've done a lot with a/b/o across fandoms and over the years, and CPLF has really drawn all my scattered thoughts together and, I think, made something really unique amongst all the different presentations of it online. I'm still working on the fic, of course, but I'm proud of what I have achieved with it so far and I believe it will continue to be beloved to me.

How many works do you have on AO3?

I'll use my FFN stats since I'm not transferring everything from there over to AO3. Fic count on FFN is 204, though that's not including the ones I archive privately, so technically the number of fics I've posted is 253.

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

Again, going on FFN word count since that's where everything is. That stands at over two million: 2,197,752.

HOWEVER, I also have a further 817,563 words of fics privately archived, so in actuality I've hit the three million mark: 3,015,315! I knew I must be climbing up there, but I had no idea that I'd surpassed it, so that made me happy!

3. What fandoms do you write for?

On FFN, yes, since it's done via PM. On AO3, no. I really appreciate all comments, but I despise that it counts my response, and I won't inflate my comment count. But of course I read each one.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

One of my suuuuuper old Pokémon fics, Twisted. It's sooooo bad. Young teen Dan was dark and depressed. If I didn't think it was important to leave everything up to show progression, I'd delete it and pretend it never existed.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Nearly all of my fics have happy endings because I mostly write fluffy oneshots, so pretty much take your pick.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I did once have a comment on a Dany/Jorah fic which had nothing to do with the fic and just hated on the ship, which I rolled my eyes hard at. What is the point in seeking out something you don't like? Weirdo behaviour. And, you know, it was from a Dany/Jon stan, so...people in glass houses and all that.

9. Do you write smut?

I do. Not as often as I used to, but when the mood strikes. Most of my smut scenes/fics are archived privately, though.

10. Do you write crossovers?

No. I did extensive planning for one once, but the crossover universe was mostly just there as background. Whether I ever get around to actually writing it remains to be seen, but I wouldn't write another because I have no real interest.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not as far as I know!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Someone once asked wayyyyy back in 2012 if they could translate one of my fics, but I don't know if that ever happened. And I deleted it to archive privately, so probably not, LOL.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I have not! I'm not sure if I'd be any good at it, I'd feel the pressure!

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

Well, it's been over twelve years since I wrote my first Anna/Bates fic, and I still write a little bit for them most days (just a slow and steady process). I still love all of my old ships, but Anna/Bates has had the longevity to endure almost nine years after the end of the show (I don't count the movies because they're whatever), and they're still so, so special to me. <3

(Although I do spend most of my time these days completely fixated on Suki/Eve because MY GOD, that ship has completely altered my brain chemistry.)

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

It's not a 'doubt I ever will' thing just yet, because I am still very much writing Anna/Bates fic, but I have one in particular that I haven't touched in six years where the final line of the penultimate chapter has lived rent-free in my head for all that time...I've just never committed it to paper yet, and I'm still a couple of chapters away from it.

But I finally finished the bonus chapter of Made of Starlight [Downton Abbey, Anna/Bates] seven years after posting the final chapter on FFN, so there's every chance I'll pick it back up in the near future.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I don't think I'm particularly good at anything, but if I had to pick something...Dialogue, maybe? I always have lots of fun with characters interacting with each other, anyway, regardless of whether it's good or not.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Description. I feel like it's often clunky and not evocative enough.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I used to write it in italicised English. Nowadays, if a character is speaking to another in a language they both understand, I'll still do this, but if it's from the POV of a character who doesn't understand it, I'll write it in the other language but try to do the HTML on AO3 where hovering over it on desktop will give the English translation. For example, this was pivotal for the fourth chapter of Vivat Crescat Floreat, since the whole point of the chapter was supposed to be Tyrion's frustration at not knowing what the hell Daenerys and Jorah were talking about. It would not have worked if the audience could read the Common Tongue right off the bat, but the hovering at least gives the audience the context that Tyrion does not have.

I don't bother on FFN since hardly anyone uses that site anymore, haha.

Of course, the only language that I do know is English, so I have to rely on translate for other languages...which, let's face it, can be horrendously inaccurate.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Pokémon. I don't keep up with the anime much these days, but I'm always there for a new game, haha.

20. Favorite fic you've written?

I don't really do favourites because I'm mostly just meh about what I've written, but I'll always have a soft spot for A Meeting of Fates, purely because it was the first multi-chaptered fic that I ever finished.

Lost in Balms [Downton Abbey, Anna/Bates, privately archived] is one I had a lot of fun with. I started it in April 2017 and completed it July 2023, but during all that time I had such a clear image of how I wanted the climax to go down. I actually wrote the fic in an entirely linear fashion, so thinking of that one scene kept me going for five years until I actually reached it, and it was one of the most satisfying things to write because of how long it had taken for me to get there.

And not a fic mention per se, but the fourth 'chapter' of And Beauty There Echoes the Speck of Our Souls [EastEnders, Suki/Eve] gave me all the feels to think about and write. I wrote it at a time where I was struggling with Suki and Eve's breakup in canon, and it brought me great comfort to focus on. And another Suki/Eve fic that I'm working on right now is giving me the same warm fuzzies because it's something I desperately want at some point in the future. <3

Ever single comment is incredibly important to me and I don't always have the spoons to respond the way I want to. Rather than rush a response, I wait until I can give it my full attention. There are times, however, when certain comments appear to go answered for months. Those are comments from people I am in touch with privately and have already thanked. I will respond to those in time as well.

The Darkest Night without question.

❣️What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

At this point, probably Christmas to Last a Lifetime.

Is having someone throw a tantrum in your comments hate?

The writer who did this was upset over how the first part of AiP ended because they did not read the tags or summary. They also complained about my OC being better than theirs and whined about liking Audrey more as though at 11 years old I created with Aud malicious intent to hurt them 20+ years later. 🙄

This was the person who also tried to push me out of the fandom, harassed me, and stole my work.

So, hate, no. Immature, entitled behavior, yes.

❣️Do you write smut?

No it's not my thing to read or write. My story is canon compliant and I'm staying true to the content of the show as well. Since it's a 90s kids' sitcom, situations were only dealt with to a certain degree.

❣️Do you write crossovers?

Technically. lol The AiP trilogy is a crossover with BMW and its sequel show, Girl Meets World, but since it's in the same universe I don't count it.

I am in the works of doing a real crossover that I'm really excited about, hopefully soon.

I debated how much to say since my socials are still being monitored but you know what, I don't care.

This person stole big chunks of my work from three of my stories and readers have noticed. That's how I became aware of it. Two readers brought it to my attention and just recently another mentioned it also.

I've dealt with it thanks to my dear friends who have had my back through this year + long ordeal.

And ngl, it was satisfying to see her panic and meltdown when the report was submitted and rush her ending. The subsequent attempts to cover her tracks have been popcorn worthy as they have been both comical and pathetic.

Anyone who knows me will tell you I'm too nice and give too much benefit of the doubt which is why no one outside of my friends' circle has seen the massive report on the theft and harrassment.

However, should you dear [REDACTED] try it again, I'm holding onto that report and won't be so nice the second time around. It won't be your friend who's been asking for the link since December 8th that I'll give it to either.

I avoid this personally because I know enough that I'd mess it up. And I only know Swedish which isn't really a language that figures into my work naturally.

Okay I do love the fact that it's like "the forest is dark and deep is an outlier and should not have been counted" because everything else is DCU.

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I try! It's rough in my inbox right now so I've started just opening up stories and replying to all the comments on them straight on to try and tame the inbox down. You might be two years late but I'm getting there.

Honestly, sometimes people tell me I don't have to and I'm like "No, I'm gonna--eventually" not because I feel like I must, but because I like to! Author's talk about their love of comments all the time, but it's the love of the conversation, and sometimes having that back and forth reveals new and fun things about your story too. I love comments and replying, I just, sometimes get to a point where it's "you either get a reply or an update" and then I do that too many times in a row and the inbox becomes ungovernable.

Do you write crossovers?

I used to. I'll still enjoy a good fusion au, but I rarely straight up cross over characters anymore. They're fun thought experiments though, trying to figure out how different worlds would collide.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yes. What kind? I don't know, whatever kind serves the plot. I'm not a PWP writer, let's put it that way. It's more "if this fits the purpose of the story or emotional arc, I'll write it." Very rarely do I just because... though that happens randomly sometimes.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yes. In both the straight up plagiarism way and in the someone reposted my fic to wattpad and said their friend (with a totally different name) wrote it.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes! Though some of them seem to have disappeared off ao3 over the years which is too bad. But I remember some were Chinese and some were Russian. A few podfics too! And let me tell you, nothing is better than that feeling, but also hearing someone read my own words does send me immediately scurrying to hide under my bed.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Wow, I didn't expect you to list all your WIPs for the ask game! That's awesome. Can you tell me more about 22, 28, 58, and 61? Also your names are delightful.

I definitely wouldn't have if I didn't have a list already, it just needed a little editing. The names are supposed to help me remember what the thing is when I browse through my WIP folder, but some of them are more successful at that than others.

Turns out these are all kind of stream of consciousness sort of thing, maybe occasionally interspersed with something resembling fic writing. It's sort of like a story, it just needs a lot more coherence. You know when you really need all of that idea down before you forget about it and it all comes out in a jumbled mess, and half of it is you still trying to figure it all out.

22. time travel fix it - ye zun

So the very barebones idea of it is that what if post-canon after the twins made up and Ye Zun found out he was wrong about some things, he was the end who ended up back in time. Except he ends up in a time where he's still inside the Pillar, and that... probably isn't so good for him. It takes him some time to sort himself out, to reach out of the Pillar, to get out, you know all that stuff. So, basically everything happens while Shen Wei is still napping and Zhao Yunlan hasn't even been born yet. Ye Zun is definitely finding baby!Yunlan once it's time (has to keep him safe for gege). That kind of means Shen Wei has to sleep a little longer, but Ye Zun has changed things so maybe he does and tbh Ye Zun is a little iffy on the timeline seeing as he was stuck in the Pillar in the original timeline. And then eventually Shen Wei wakes up to didi being like "look I have fixed it all for you."

28. chronic pain

This is very much working through my own shit not so much in disguise. It's post-canon, some fix-it happens, weilan somehow come back but however that happens Shen Wei is left with chronic pain. Like nothing you can do about it, it's just there sort of pain. He doesn't tell Zhao Yunlan of course (it's not lying if he just doesn't mention it, ever). But of course, at some point when it's bad enough he just can't hide it, not from Zhao Yunlan. And then they both have to deal with things.

58. kidnapping

I want to say that before I'm looking this up I have zero idea what this is about or who is getting kidnapped.

Oh. Oh.

I did not expect that.

Weilan have their whole first meeting on campus. Shen Wei gets Zhao Yunlan's file. All as per canon. And then Shen Wei decides that the most sensible way of keeping Zhao Yunlan safe is to kidnap him. As you do.

The Black Cloaked Envoy goes to tell the SID that their Chief is... busy. They don't necessarily take that well, but what can they do?

I haven't really gotten far enough to decide if Shen Wei really knows what he's doing with Zhao Yunlan now that he has him. So far Zhao Yunlan wakes up tied up, but obviously entirely unharmed. It's for his own safety!

"He finishes tying Zhao Yunlan's hands anyway. He won't keep Zhao Yunlan tied up forever, just for now. Until Zhao Yunlan has time to calm down."

61. enemies to lovers

"Revolution from Zhao Yunlan's home, and he's pretty sure that's not what he signed up for."

The Haixing-Dixing relations are worse. HPS and the SID don't work together, never have. However, Zhao Yunlan is still less bad as a Chief than all the previous ones. Zhao Yunlan and Shen Wei have never actually met, but they've had near run ins. Because Shen Wei still goes to Haixing to... catch/save some Dixingren and take them back.

But things in Dixing are also a bit... stricter, let's say. Ye Zun at some point ended up de-pillared and imprisoned and Shen Wei is not happy with his treatment. So he... removes didi from Dixing, except now Ye Zun is technically speaking a criminal on the run and not in very good shape. Shen Wei needs to put him somewhere. So he takes him to Zhao Yunlan in that very classic trope of "I had nowhere else to go."

Zhao Yunlan and Ye Zun actually end up spending quite a bit of time together. Possibly plotting revolution and a little bit of mind control. (Shen Wei still has HPS-ing to do so no one catches onto anything being out of the ordinary.)

2024 Recap Game!

so i will summarize & do some big braining bc even though i said in that post i don't really have hard goals (which i still don't) for 2025, i can give off more vague vibes of what i kinda have in mind perhaps.

2024 Accomplishments!

finished my yeehan fic cage. technically it started in 2023, but i finished the 20th and final chapter in feb 2024, clocking in at 82,288 words total. which is actually the most words i've ever written for one continuous project. so lots of wins.

started conlanging for a wip that has fully expanded paramour's universe, the related but also completely separate wip he who smites the sun. and connected that entire universe and multiple wips all in one timeline in one continent of a world which is super cool.

finished the first draft of my current brain rot wip betwixt thumb and forefinger. which, is essentially wuthering heights x twilight, the wip lmao.

2025 (Writing) Goals!

finish btaf's 2nd draft -- currently i'm 22k-ish words deep and its been fun working on it so i hope i finish it this year

work on dzonime'si more (the conlang in he who smites the sun) and potentially develop a few more for several regions in this world, mainly eyeing 2nd century galarian because it does get mentioned in paramour as something hya can't read bc its so old so i'm kinda curious about it.

get back into mapmaking, i'd love to have an actual decent map of the continent that all those wips take place on

continue to do things because they interest me and they're fun and try not to worry so much about interacting with others. obvs interacting with people is GREAT but at the same time, i don't want to stop myself from doing things because i feel like people won't care or i don't have anyone to talk to about it.

Where do I start? I'm known for unhappy endings, I fear. I think my most tragic story is In Loving Memory.

8. Do you get hate?

Not these days, but I got harassed relentlessly when I switched from straight x-reader content to gay character x character, and I've had specific works people hate. Exposure is probably my most hated fic of all time, but chiefly by people who did not read it.

9. Do you write smut?

It accounts for like, half of my work.

10. Do you write crossovers?

Not often, but I think of them frequently and love to read them. I have an archived tumblr account with over 100 crossover fics on it :) and my only fic wip is a crossover.

11. Ever had a fic stolen?

Yes. Repeatedly.

12. Ever had a fic translated?

No, but I would be happy to grant permission if a translator asked!

13. Ever co-written fic?

Yes! I don't do so anymore but I used to do lots of collaborations as a teenager.

14. All time favorite ship?

15. Wips you want to finish but doubt you will?

All of my ongoing AUs, but especially Chess Games and i need something bigger than the sky. I probably won't finish anything besides my current crossover, as I've shifted my focus into original writing! These days I have novels in development and I co-write for a podcast.

16. Writing strengths?

I think imagery and figurative language are my strongest points.

17. Writing weaknesses?

Dialogue. I don't understand how people talk to each other irl let alone in media.

18. Thoughts on mixed-language dialogue?

Honestly, I rarely see it done well. I'm not that good at it myself either, but what can you do!

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Technically, The Hunger Games when I was in elementary school and didn't know what fanfiction was yet. My first completed and posted fic was spn/destiel.

20. Favorite fic you've ever written?

In Loving Memory (linked above) is probably my favorite, but I have a special place in my heart for my AUs.
