This morning @crossfit_southeast_witham I was struggling a bit to get back into the technique of a push press. It has been months and I kept finding myself going back to push jerk. So was finishing in a dip instead of fully extending. Frustrating as it was I decided to persevere and rather than continuing to add load, I took it right back and got the pvc pipe out. Leave your ego at the door when you workout and you will find that you enjoy your workouts much more. Everyone has days where things don't fall into place, but that doesn't mean you have to give up. Keep your chin up and keep trying till you get there 💪💪 Just to clear something up - those who think us CrossFitters do not focus on technique are so wrong. The mantra in CrossFit is technique, consistency then intensity and we hold ourselves to that in every single warm up, drill and workout that we do. Granted if you watch the CrossFit games you will see some questionable technique as competitors push their bodies to the limit to get reps in. However, it could not be further from that in the actual day to day training that takes place in our boxes.
