The 11 year old who shot Colegio Cervantes de Torreón in Coahuila, Mexico, killing his teacher and injuring 6 before taking his own life.

On January 10th, 2020, the student arrived to his school with 2 guns in his backpack.

He asked to go to the bathroom, where he took his backpack to change his clothing. Noticing that he was taking too long, the teacher sent another student to look for him, he saw him coming out and went back to tell the teacher.

The perpetrator, dressed like Eric Harris, went to the school yard and fired to the P.E. teacher and 5 students, hitting them all. He then shot María Assaf Medina, the english teacher and only fatal victim, after that he shot himself.

On January 13th of the same year, the perpetrator's grandfather was detained and charged with negligency, since one of the guns used in the attack was his.

Coahuila's governor, Miguel Riquelme Solís blamed the videogame Natural Selection for influencing the kid's actions, after receiving messages explaining that the Natural Selection shirt was a reference to the Columbine HS massacre, he decided to blame media.

The name of the perpetrator is José Ángel Ramos Betts, almost no sources mention his name and there isn't much information about him online, he was born in 2008, his mother, Yezmine Natali Betts Llanes, was "brutally murdered" in 2014, though I couldnt find any article on this. His father, José Ángel Ramos Jiménez, was jailed in Texas for meth trafficking, he was released some time before the attack but José Ángel was living with his grandparents at the moment, both had connections with cartels.

Ramos Betts had a Youtube channel named "Angelisho Betts", which is still up to this day. His channel, created in 2016, has 824 subscribers and he posted only 3 videos, two being gameplays and the other one being a short video of his dog.
