Reginald's lower lip is twitching and his eyes are bugging out. It's not a pretty sight, nor is the way his chest heaves with rapid, shallow breaths. He looks as though his very world has been ripped out from under his feet only to be handed back a moment later, shiny and new and presented all neatly on a golden platter just for him.

He looks at Foster like a god ought to be looked at.

"You're... serious." Reginald swallows. "...you're serious?"

Please oh please don't let this be a trick. ...or, as is more likely, a sign that the poor guy's finally gone off the deep end.

"You're a god... and you see potential in my television programs?"

He reminds me of my buddy Carl a little bit. The glasses, he's a total geek, built like a french fry, real nervous type too. Well, if there's one thing Carl's taught me, it's that nerds 're a total pain in the neck! So I don't think I possibly got anything in common with this guy.

It's no secret that the animatronics are Steven's favorite part of Freddy's; yes, they have their quirks, but they've more than earned the right to get a little testy sometimes. When it comes down to it, they're the heart and soul of this place.

...so when the news rolls in that they'll be hosting a new character from another location, he can't help but be excited.

"Pizzahead," as the animatronic is aptly named, is simply adorable, and although Chica's already the primary mascot when it comes to food, everyone on staff has agreed that it's about time Fazbear's focused more on their signature dish. Having another girl in the cast can't hurt, either, even if she's not one of the core four, and any new attraction means renewed interest from old and new customers alike.

All in all, the addition seems like a huge step in the right direction. The only potential downside Steven has been able to anticipate is the difficulty of fending off a fifth machine during the night, but Pizzahead has been a boon after hours, too; Steve's not sure why, but now that they're no longer alone, the original animatronics seem to be working perfectly fine. No wandering the halls, no showing up at his door... it's almost as though they want to be on their best behavior for the newcomer.

The thought makes him smile, and Bell is almost ready to kick up his feet and settle in for a blessedly boring night when he catches sight of movement on the monitors. It's not coming from the Show Stage, or even from Pirate's Cove; it's coming from the dining area, where Pizzahead is permanently stationed.

Oh, no.

"Come on, don't do this to me," he sighs, straightening back up to focus on the screens. It's just one robot. He's dealt with far worse before.

...except that unlike Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, he has no idea what he's dealing with when it comes to Pizzahead. Hopefully she'll be as friendly during the night as she is during the day? Who is he kidding. He's learned by now that wishful thinking only gets you one thing in a place like this:

Has it been six months since they had any non-work related conversations? Admittedly so much had been happening on his side that he really uhh. Hasn't kept up with his staff (aside from his own nephews) for a bit. Even less so than usual, but to even begin to explain a lot of what's been happening on his side....

...Nah. Nothing anyone from this studio needed to know.

"...Huh. Well 'hi' to you too, Boards! Great job out there as usual!" A beat.

"...If it's about your payment, it should show up within the next two or three days." He swears, he's at least been trying to do better at that, at the very least.

With that, Johnny decided to let the man go, confident that he could at least somewhat stand up on his own now that he knows he's not injured. He couldn't help but scoff at his response, though.

"Yeah, yeah, coffee's great n' all—but that ain't your problem, man. I can tell just by lookin' at 'cha. You need to build some muscle." He pokes a finger against the other man's upper arm. "No wonder you're stumblin' all over the place. You're built like a string bean, man!"

"Oh— oh, gosh. I'm sorry. I-I, uh..."

Maybe it's just the sleep deprivation (it's definitely the sleep deprivation), but this guy reminds him a lot of his boss. One of them, anyway. The resemblance is enough to give him pause.

"...Um. The... the coffee hasn't hit yet, y'know? Haha!"

another delightful day of wandering through the frozen wastelands of copper-9! N hums a little tune as he trudges through the snow and climbs over debris, entering a battered building. the disassembly drone pauses, looking at the wreckage inside. there are old, frozen-over supply crates poking out of the mess. oh, good! he needs more minerals to refuel some of his weapons. the robotic vampire swaps out his hands for machete-like clawed appendages and begins moving aside clutter, tugging out one of the storage containers and prying it open.

N exchanges one of his clawed hands for a laser-cannon barrel and begins to rummage through the materials. scans indicate no compatibility so far... wait. what was that? the drone sharply raises his head, gaze flickering in the direction of the movement he'd noticed out of the corner of his eyes. he stands, tail poised like a scorpion's -- he's sure had enough of things sneaking around in creepy and dark places!

"hey, whoever's there? if you could come into view, that would be pretty great! oh.. oh, wait, that's right." N lowers his stinger and puts away his weapons, at least making an attempt to seem non-threatening. "i'm not going to hurt you, i promise! er, as long as you won't hurt me."

Steven understands why the owner keeps fishing half-broken machinery out of the alley-- it's a cost-cutting measure, like nearly everything else the franchisee tries-- but sometimes he wonders if it would be cheaper and easier in the long run to just buy official Faz. Ent. characters instead of filling the pizzeria with... this.

"Marci," as the employees have begun to call it, is one of the strangest animatronics he's seen to date. No one's been able to determine whether it's supposed to sound like this or whether its garbled-up words are a result of a damaged voice box, but either way, Steven's convinced it knows what it's doing when it gives its cryptic, half-incomprehensible responses instead of just fessing up to all the damage it causes.

"C'mon, buddy, you know I can't understand you," Steven says with a fond sigh. "Just cut it out, okay? The big boss is coming down Friday and we need to show her everything's in tip-top shape." He carefully removes the wires, petting gently at the machine's head as he does so.

"I should just find you something else to chew through, huh..." he mutters, mostly to himself. "What about some cans? Want to be our official tin-cutter, little guy?"

I love your portrayal!! peppino's backstory is so interesting and the sheer amount of DETAIL you put into everything is so inspiring. he's the goofy guy we know and love but he also feels so real?? like there's such a cool sense of realism i get from your portrayal that makes him feel extra relatable and your writing very enjoyable to read. it's very very good and so unique and i love how you handle him so much!

i'm so glad you enjoy the details i've given him to flesh him out. i find myself wondering what pepp is like outside of his stint in the pizza tower, so all the comics and cut dialog that exist for him have been hugely inspirational. always worry i'm overthinking it and taking a silly concept like pt as a whole too seriously, so i'm especially happy to hear the more grounded aspect i've added to my portrayal are working! )
