I've come to accept that they'll put TFS on Netfljx after s5. Not only because it's still going to run on broadway/westend for at least one year but because if they are aiming for a bittersweet/tragic ending for Henry in s5, TFS is going to emphasise the tragedy.

HIII!! I love all of your TFS analysis, your doing amazing stuff that I don’t think anyone else looking at! I finally got around to seeing TFS on broadway after seeing it in London over a year ago, I’m not sure if it’s just my poor memory, but what’s up with all the changes?? Do you know why they have made such drastic edits for broadway? Is there a comprehensive list somewhere of all the changes that were made? You seem like the authority on this and I need answers!! I was quite disappointed by how different the American production was.

Yeah, there were a bunch of changes between TFS London and TFS Broadway! Per this panel post-documentary:

The changes were made between London and Broadway to make TFS more cohesive with ST5/Broadway was somewhat retrofitted to align better with ST5. In short: they’re all changes Kate and the Duffers felt were necessary to make TFS more “correct”/more fitting with their vision of what they wanted the story to be as a stepping-stone between ST4 and ST5.

As someone who saw TFS in London in 2023, I personally loved TFS Broadway. I thought it was far better in terms of pacing, plot, and characterization. It was snappier/the flow was better, the recurring characters felt more like themselves, more easter eggs were added, and a multitude of plot holes were patched. I couldn’t ask for more. I thought Kate really outdid herself, and it saddens/confuses me that some folks don’t agree.

(the only “westend” i know is the one where you have to have 8 senses to avoid getting pickpocketed on the bottom floor)
