lookism men reacting when you forget to say 'i love you' back
Tumblr media
summary: you decided to do a little prank, turns out forgetting three little words is the fastest way to send several grown men into an emotional crisis.
author's note: took a bit too long on the request i got too carried away enjoying my break 💔 a lot of newer characters aren't here bc i genuinely don't know how to write them yet | masterlist
Tumblr media
Daniel Park:
“I love you, don't forget to call me when you get home!"
You: “Okay. Bye.”
Pauses. Processes. Doesn’t say anything.
Says nothing for 10 minutes, then hits you with:
“Is this a test?”
You: “What?”
“A test of loyalty. Honesty. Trust. Emotional—”
He looked like a puppy, whining, drenched in the rain, getting told to stay outside the house because he destroyed the sofa. You feel so bad for him so you stay with him for 30 more minutes outside your house to calm down.
Gun Park:
“Love you.”
You: “Alright."
You blink, and he’s suddenly standing five inches closer.
“Say it.”
You: “Say what?”
“You know.”
Stares at you so hard your soul leaves your body, you say “I love you” with your full chest just to survive.
Goo Kim:
“Love you~”
You: “Mhm!”
“MHM???”
Starts spiraling instantly. Drops to the ground like a dying Victorian man.
“You said ‘mhm’ like I handed you a napkin, not my heart.”
Demands reparations in the form of 20 kisses.
Johan Seong:
"I love you."
You text: "Thanks, you too."
"You too..?"
Goes dead. Goes silent. Doesn't reply or even see your texts for a whole day.
You return home and see him glaring at you.
“I knew it. I was right all along. Trust is an illusion. Love is a scam.”
You comfort him and assure that it was just a prank, and after a while of convincing you still love him (of course you do), he breathes a sigh of relief.
You practically see Eden and Miro facepalming.
Zack Lee:
“Love you! See you later!”
You: “See ya!”
He stops. Blinks. Turns.
“…Wait.”
Follows you like a shadow. You lock the door? He stands outside. You go to work? He shows up during your lunch break.
“You forgot. I can wait. I’m patient. You’ll break before I do.”
Vasco:
“I love you!!” 🥺
You: “Hehe okay bye!”
He doesn’t move.
He just... stands there. For a while.
Then he goes to Jace:
“…Do you think they still love me even if they didn’t say it?”
Jace: panicking internally “THEY ABSOLUTELY DO.”
Jake Kim:
“Love you.”
You: “'Kay. Later!"
He nods. Then he realizes.
“Damn. That’s crazy.”
Lua overhears and with a stroke of luck (for Lua, not Jake) gossips to the girls at Big Deal street.
Word gets along fast in the street and Jake gets clowned in the groupchat within minutes.
Samuel Seo:
You: “Bye! I'll let you know when I get there.”
Samuel: “Sure. Love you.”
You wave and get on the elevator without saying it back.
He blinks.
...?
???
???????????????????
Loses his composure for a second but realizes he's in public and regains his nonchalance fairly quickly.
"Tch. Typical.”
Pretends he doesn’t care. Totally does.
Spends the rest of the day overthinking while fixing his hair in every mirror he passes.
DG/James Lee:
He texts it casually: “Love you.”
You: “Alright, later.”
Doesn’t flinch. Doesn’t comment.
Just quietly nods and moves on.
But his next text to you is noticeably more formal.
“...Let me know when you get home.”
No emojis. No pet names.
That’s his code for: “I noticed. I’m not mad. But I noticed.”
Ryuhei Kuroda:
“Love you!"
You: “Okay, bye!”
Malfunctions instantly.
“No no no NO. Run that back. Say it again. With feeling. Full sentence. I’m not letting this slide.”
Dramatically reenacts the moment for the rest of the day like it’s a trauma flashback.
You kick him out of the house and begs you to take him back.
Jace Park:
"Bye. Love you."
You: "Mhm."
His first instinct? Apologize to you.
“I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable by saying it first I didn’t mean to rush anything unless you do love me then that’s cool but if not that’s okay too unless it’s not then—”
Send help. He’s spiraling respectfully.
Hudson Ahn:
"Love you."
"Okay, bye."
You stare at each other for 5 more seconds, like you both had something to say.
In the end, he just nods calmly.
Looks away.
You turn around and catch him brooding at the sky like he’s in a coming-of-age film.
“The stars don’t talk back either. I get it now.”

bright eyes | eddie munson x reader
summary Eddie runs into his ex while he's out in a date with you and his little girl, and you try to deal with his unresolved feelings (5.3k)
warnings fem!reader, girl!dad Eddie!!!!, fluff, mutual pining, yearning etc, slowburn strangers to lovers, idiots in love!!!, first ily, english is not my first language so I apologise if there’s some mistakes, not proof read!
a/n: thank you guys for the support, this was based on a request by @althea-tavalas and @callsignraver thank you both, and sorry it took a while! part1 part2 part 3 part 4 (they can be read seperatly)
“They’re pink!” Lua screamed as she saw the flamingos, standing still on their delicate legs.
“Yes, they are!” You added with glee, matching her energy as she found her way near the enclosure. You crouched beside her, holding her carefully by her waist, just in case she felt like running again.
“I thought they were yellow…” Eddie said as she crouched behind you, teasing his little girl with his colour confusion.
“That’s pink” She mumbled as her finger pointed to the animals, her head looking back at him, a shy smile on her lips.
“No, this is pink” He continued as he grabbed his shirt, a faded ochre tinted the fabric, and you heard Lua giggle as she shook her head no.
“Yellow?” She asked, looking at you while she grabbed her dad’s shirt. You nodded as you smiled, finding the whole scene overwhelmingly pure.
She whined as she rolled her eyes, you stiffed a laugh. She was copying Eddie to perfection, you had seen that same eyeroll a few moments ago when you told him you had to go to the merry go round before you leave, even if the sun was going to set soon.
He caught you doing so, and gave you a smirk, a look of recognition you both shared.
You stayed at her level, both of you pointing out what else she could see, while Eddie slowly stood up, his eyes not leaving the both of you as giggling escaped both of your lips.
“Bug, can you stay with princess for a second?” He asked with a soft touch on her shoulder. She nodded enthusiastically, her hand holding yours, just like he taught her to do so when he leaves her with you.
“Where’re you going?” He smiled as soon as he saw how your head tilted to the left, Lua was picking on that too. He gave you a quick look, the same smirk as you realised what he meant invaded your face.
“You’re going to need tickets…” He responded, not loud enough so the surprise could still work whilst he nodded to the carousel.
You smiled up at him and he took that as you giving him the all clear, distracting Lua with more questions, guiding her to the opposite site of where he was going.
He was a bit busy, thinking about you and how thoughtful it was, you buying the tickets for the zoo. It’s summer solstice! you had cheered as you tried to make it seem like it wasn’t too much, that you were excited to go and that you needed to celebrate. He had only agreed to do so, if he drove the three of you to Indianapolis, and he could take you out to dinner later that week. He had called it a real date, the promise of such made you blush.
Eddie was deep in his thoughts, he knew he couldn’t really afford Enzo’s -it was too fancy anyway- so he was trying to decide if the dinner was a better idea than a picnic by the lake. He was too focused, he bought two tickets instead of three.
But as soon as he saw the strawberry blonde hair his stomach dropped, closed and turned around all of a sudden. He hadn’t seen her since she called saying she couldn’t do it, that he had to do it alone, that she was leaving.
Now Paige's hand was wrapped around another boy he didn’t know the name of.
Her eyes widened as soon as she made eye contact with him, a shy smile appeared on her face as she waved at him, slowly raising her hand. He returned the gesture, not sure what to do, or why his feet felt so heavy.
He stood in place, looking back at where you were, scratching the back of his head in a nervous manner, he relaxed his breathing as soon as he saw you picking Lua up, walking a bit closer to the flamingos so she could see them better.
He started worrying right away though, he hadn’t told Lua anything about her mother, and she was right there.
What would he say? He figured he had more time, that he would be able to tell her about her once she’s grown up and asks for her. Hell, she doesn’t even know the meaning of the word mom, she had never heard of it. And even if she did, Eddie knew you had been acting like one ever since you met, he hadn’t even told you anything about it, because you hadn’t asked out of respect. The only thing he did tell you was that you could ask about it, and the only thing you said back was just how much you care about Lua, and how you’d never wanna make things awkward by asking too much. He had kissed you after that, and he could feel the sensation on his lips now, even when panic was invading his body, the thought of you seemed to relax him enough.
“Eddie?” Paige’s voice snapped him back with a painful stab at the memory, one where it didn’t hurt hearing her say his name.
“Hi.” He didn’t expect his own voice to sound that cold, but he didn’t care if it did if he was honest with himself.
“How are you? It’s been a while.” She tried to keep the conversation friendly, but Eddie pursed his lips, and she remembered enough to know that he did that when he was uncomfortable.
“Yeah, two years and five months.” He spitted out, reminding her how old her daughter was.
“Is she here?” She asked back, her eyebrows slightly raising as she looked for her near Eddie.
“Yeah. She’s with my partner, they wanted Lua to come.” He wouldn’t admit it, but seeing her lip quiver as he said those words made him smile internally, knowing that it was a small victory.
“Could I see her?” She tried again, Eddie noted the regret in her eyes. He also saw just how much they looked like Lua’s.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea.” He barked back, slowly and calmly. “You made it very clear that you didn’t want to be involved.”
“She’s still my daughter.” Paige added with shame in her words, Eddie felt bad once he saw her eyes crystalize.
“I think I remember you saying a very different thing.” He was going in for the kill, he could taste the anger dripping out of every word, though it was anger but protection.
“That…” She tried to gather herself. “I know you’re pissed off but I… C’mon Eddie, I was a child!”
“I was one too!” He finally snapped back, raising his voice to match hers, he saw heads turning, but he didn’t mind, he never had. “And I stayed. You left.”
“I just… I wanna see how she’s doing, I thought about calling you but I didn’t know… I don’t know where you are, now that I know you live in the city I could-'' Eddie had to cut her off, he thought maybe someday he would want her back -for Lua’s sake- but this proved, he just couldn’t stand her and her selfishness.
“We don’t live here, and if she decides she wants to meet her, i’ll let her. Nothing else matters to me but her.” Eddie admitted, he could feel the vein on his neck growing larger as he became more agitated.
He looked back for a second, rubbing his chin. A moment of silence that he used to check on both of you, and he was glad he did once he saw you walking with Lua in your arms, as she cheered seeing the merry go round light up. He smiled for a second, it wasn’t a full one, but a half upside down smile, his lips still slightly pressed.
“I know I didn’t… I am sorry Edds.” She tried to apologise, rubbing her hands together in an anxious manner he knew too well.
“Eddie.” He corrected her. “I’m sorry, I just can’t do this right now, sorry.” He ended up apologising, excusing himself, needing a way out once he heard the particular chuckle of his little one.
He desperately needed to hold her.
You noticed something was wrong as soon as you saw him stomping his way back to you.
You noticed the way his breathing was troubled, going up and down faster than needed.
You noticed the way his lips were pressed against each other, and the way his hands shake.
Before you were able to ask anything, you looked back at where he was coming from, it wasn’t that hard to understand. She really did have Lua’s bright eyes.
The scrunch in between his brows asked for permission to hold her, and you let your head hang on the left as you nodded slowly, leaving a kiss on his cheek as he bent down to grab her, holding her tightly.
“Do you need to talk about it? Later?” He didn’t say anything, he just gave you a kiss back, right where your hairline started. You knew it was a yes.
“Should we go, bug?” He asked Lua, pointing at the fast yellow lights turning, a soft melody emerging from it as it turned.
“Can we?”
“Anything you want” He promised, as he held her tightly, hugging her as he walked over, leaving you behind as you watched both of them.
You saw that girl, walking by you, with a strange mix of melancholy, nostalgia and jealousy in her eyes. You could swear she stopped as she passed you by, looking at you in an analytic manner. Even if her eyes were lost deep into her own thoughts, you could feel the way she judged you, and how her fingers twitched for a moment, wishing she got to hold her as closer as you did, even if she said she couldn’t all those years ago.
You decided to just avoid her sight, enjoying the way Lua was smiling, being held by her dad, who was enjoying more than ever having her that near.
-
“Is she asleep?” Eddie asked, his eyes not leaving the empty road.
“Yeah” You answered with a quick glance backwards. You noticed the way her eyes were shut highly, her long lashes and a bit of drool falling from her parted lips. “Her neck will hurt” You noted, Eddie kept his lips pressed, nodding slowly. “Do you wanna talk about it?”
“Maybe”
“Moon?” You pleaded, your hand reaching for his, holding the pedal shift softly as his fingers melted to your touch.
“Are you sure she’s asleep?” His voice was trembling now, impotence clear in his tone. “She’s more clever than you think” He added as he grinned to himself.
“Edds she’s drooling, I’m quite sure.” Your thumb petted the back of his hand, he smiled at the gesture.
“I do want to talk about it… I just… I think… you might know?” He tried to make you say it, as if admitting it outloud was just as painful as having lived it.
“I think I do.” He just nodded, his lower lip quivered in anticipation to hear you say it, he needed to be you to break the ice, he needed you to be the one to ask it. You knew he would never impose such a hard topic onto you, just as well as you knew he needed to talk about it. “So… That’s her mother?”
“Mmmh” He answered, his head nodding as he tried hard to contain his disdain for her. “Paige.”
“How long have- When was the last time you-” You didn’t finish asking yet he was already answering.
“Since she decided to leave Lua with me. Right after having her.” You could feel how hurt he had been in the past, and just how seeing her for such a short moment had reopened the wound. “You know she decided she didn’t even want to hold her? She never gave a fuck about her now she wants to see her? Why!? Because you ran into us and thought you had to ask? Why!? It makes no sense at all. She hasn’t asked in two years and five months she can wait until bug asks it herself.” Eddie’s eyes narrowed, as he tightened his fingers around the wheel, his jaw clenched. Poison dripping out of his lips. You let him breathe, your hand now on the back of his neck, caressing him softly.
“Better?” You asked, a shy smile found its way on your tone. You saw a chuckle escaping him.
“Kinnda.”
“How did you meet her?” You were genuinely curious, and he could tell with just a glance at you. Your eyes shined up to him, while your free hand played absentmindedly with the hem of your dress.
“I uh… Old customer” He winked at you, hoping you would understand.
You confirmed it with a short chuckle.
“Soft stuff?”
“The softest.”
“And how did… that happen?” You added with a nod at Lua’s direction. He laughed at the question, his eyebrows raising.
“I think you know how that happens” He answered with a grin on his lips, teasing you a bit, his shoulders more relaxed now.
“Eddie…” You flickered his ear in a playful manner.
“We were bored. Honestly. Maybe a bit high.” His confession started as he slowed the car, pulling into Hawkins now. “She came over for some uh… stuff. I fancied some so we smoked in my room, one thing led to another and… A couple of months later she came back, scared to hell. She said she didn’t know what to do. I held her, I told her we could figure it out. She said she didn’t love me, I said I knew. I didn't love her either for the record, not that it really matters but uh… We told Wayne. He was pissed but didn’t show it to her. He said I had to step up, and I did.” He gave a quick glance to the sleeping girl on the backseat through the rearview mirror. His eyes softened as soon as he saw her dreaming. “As soon as I held her I… I knew'' He took a deep breath in, bracing for what he wanted you to hear. You continued the soft caresses into his skin that he was so thankful for. “Nothing would hurt her, and if that meant I had to get my shit together… I did. I graduated, I got a job… a legal one.” You chuckled at that at the same time as he did. “I vowed to take care of her, and to do that I had to take care of myself, so I did.” His hand finally reached for your thigh, reciprocating the caring touch you had been giving him. “I also vowed to not fall for anyone again, not until I was sure anyway. It was all going well… Until I met you I thought I could keep that promise but I… I’m kinnda glad you proved me wrong though.``
The car stopped, and suddenly the silence grew louder. His words resonated stronger. And your smile grew wider.
“I should put her down. Thank you for listening.” He concluded, giving your wrist a slow kiss, his lips sent goosebumps through your skin.
“Moon…” You got his attention, not too sure what to say next. “I… I um… Do you wanna come?”
“I’m tired.” He admitted, hoping you wouldn’t get offended by his answer.
“I know, me too I just… I think you could use the company. Nothing has to happen just, I’m here if you want to, you know that. Right?” He tilted his head, his lips curving in the usual smirk he gave you. You swear you could draw it if you had to by now, it was a magical feeling.
“I don’t- I can’t leave her alone, not today.” The sincerity in his voice grew bigger as his eyes flicked to her little one, sleeping soundly on the back of the car, unaware of everything that had happened.
“Yeah I know I just… You deserve someone to take care of you too.”
Something inside Eddie clicked.
Maybe it was the way your voice had sounded, soft and full of care and meaning behind every word you enunciated. Maybe it was the way your eyes looked up at him, as if he was a bright night sky, filled with stars and no clouds. Or, perhaps, it had been the way he noted how you had chosen the words so meticulously, your fingers going over the same spot on the end of your dress, as your lip quivered before finally deciding what to tell him.
It didn’t matter, not to him anyway, what the cause had been, but he was sure now that he was ready to let himself fall hard for you.
Deeply, madly and truly.
But then again, maybe he already was and was just now realising.
But from your point of view, you just saw a lovesick smile with puppy dog eyes looking down at you. Half closed lids hiding his sight as his head tilted slightly, a soft rush of blood invading his cheeks. You nodded slowly, closing the distance between the both of you just so you could leave a short kiss on his cheek, the warmth of it clashing with the coldness of your unkissed lips. You opened the door on your side, mouthing a short and wordless ‘bye’ as you left. He was left looking at you, his smile turning into a big grin as he looked deeper into you.
-
Wayne waited for Eddie to put Lua down, before he asked him what's wrong.
He could tell something had happened by the way his nephew took off his shoes. He didn’t take them with the top of his heel and left them there for him to put away. He took them with his heel and left them out of the doorway neatly with the exterior of his foot. And Eddie only did that when he was overthinking something
So Wayne waited, a cigarette burning in between his fingers, an unburned one waiting for his boy layed next to him. He raised his brows at him as soon as Eddie closed the door pointing at it with his head, Eddie’s face relaxed in a soft thank you way Wayne knew way too well.
He waited a bit more. For Eddie to open the window so the smoke would clear out and for him to light his cigarette.
He gave him a hard long look and Eddie folded immediately, with a short chuckle precinidng his words, a way of telling him to fuck off for knowing him too well.
“Long day, Wayne.” His eyes were lost into the horizon, looking at the dull wall in front of him.
“I gathered.” He spoke nonchalantly as smoke escaped his lips.
A short beat of silence occurred as Eddie thought about how to tell him what had happened, in the end, it was best to just say it.
“We ran into Paige.” Eddie finally said, over enunciating every vowel, with a hint of irony masked as rudeness.
“Shit.” Wayne’s surprised tone was genuine, just as much as his head whipping around to meet his eyes. Eddie just nodded slowly, taking a drag out of his fag, enjoying the numbing feeling the smoke left in his tongue, as if would make it easier to speak. “How did that shitshow go?”
“Horrible.”
“Did you overreact?” Wayne raised his brow at the question, as his eyes finally met Eddie’s.
“I don’t overreact!” He opened his eyes even more at the squeak in his voice, he waited to speak after he let out the smoke. “Maybe I do.” He admitted.
“I’ll take that as a yes.”
“I said maybe.”
“What did you tell her?”
“Nothing!” Eddie was getting flustered with the quickness in which his uncle caught up to his bullshit. Wayne had only let his arm rest on his thigh, resting his head on the palm of his hand, looking deeply into him. “I just… She wanted to see Lua, and she made it very clear how much she didn’t want anything to do with her, so I told her no.” Wayne scoffed, dropping the accumulated ash off. “What?”
“Even if she’s a shit person, she’s still the kid’s mother.” Eddie couldn’t quite believe his words. “She’s got a right to meet her.”
“When Lua asks about her, I’ll tell her. Not now.” He pleaded, his eyes crystalizing at the idea of Wayne not having his back for the first time in his life.
“Okay kiddo, but you’ll have to tell her” Wayne pointed out, moving his hands as he spoke, smoke trailing after them.
“I know. I had to tell princess too.” Wayne’s eyes widened at the information as Eddie just nodded in confirmation, taking one more drag, seeing the smoke travelling off the window, finding its way to you.
“You did?”
“Yeah”
“How did she take it?” Wayne feared the answer. It being a negative one and therefore it being the answer as to why Eddie had a gloom over him.
“She told me if I needed company? And that I deserve to be taken care of too…” He trailed off, the soft look on your face coming back into his mind.
“She’s a good girl…”
“I know”
“And she knows you better than you do.” Wayne added, patting his thigh as he stomped the cigarette out on the ashfilled plate.
“What do you mean?”
“You do need company.” Wayne told him, standing up as he whipped his hands on his jeans. He clocked Eddie’s quick glance to the closed door, and shook his head. “I’m here, nothing will happen. And you deserve to be with someone that cares.” It sounded as if Wayne was scolding him off, as if he was telling him how big of a douche he was by not allowing himself to be vulnerable for once. “Go!” He added, opening the door for him.
“She wakes up in a big mood when I’m not here…” He tried to fend off for himself, some sort of excuse that would justify him.
“And I know you enough.” He pointed out, nodding to your trailer. “You’ll be here for breakfast.”
“Dick” He joked, giving him the winning point of the argument.
Unaware of it all, you stood on your toilet floor, washing your face whilst the kettle whistled on the stove.
The same oversized shirt you always used, the fabric had become soft and with the same wrinkles falling perfectly in the same spot after so many years. You didn’t mind it, you just shushed the whistling, as if it could actually hear you whilst you mouthed along a jingle that came out of the telly, the ad brake had given you the excuse to actually stand up the couch and snapped you out of feeling sorry for yourself.
You had been brave, he hadn’t. And that wasn’t your fault.
Maybe he had been a little brave, you now thought, after all, he did answer everything you had asked him, even if he seemed rather anxious about it. And that was him being brave.
You shook your head, as you saw yourself spiraling again. You splashed water in your face, trying not to go down the same overthinking abyss you seemed to frequent. So maybe it was the water that made you not hear the soft knocks on your door, and that prompted a somehow worried Eddie to let himself in, looking around with curious eyes unable to find you anywhere, spotting the noisy kettle on the stove that was now burning the lower end of it, he walked over the kitchen, turning it of in a quick movement.
Before he even realised it, he was already preparing your tea the way he knew you liked.
When you emerged out, you left your body rest on the wall, arms crossed over your chest as you just looked at him.
You liked looking at him when he was unaware of it. He was beautiful, and you did tell him so constantly and he’d play it off with a funny face that made you chuckle, yet it was true.
His eyes softened when he was busy doing something, yet his sight seemed to harden as concentration invaded his body. You started to notice these little details long ago, now they were your favourite things about him. If you had to, you could list them all, if only the world had enough paper, you thought.
“I can brew my own cup, y’know?” You broke off his concentration and dedication with a soft chuckle, he turned around with a pinkish hue already invading his cheeks.
“I know, yet you always seem to prefer the ones I make for you” He tried to force his lips not to curve upwards, falling miserably as he handed you the cup.
“Since I taught you how to make one” You added before taking a short sip, careful not to burn your own tongue.
“My coffee still tastes like shit” He remarked, making you both snort a laugh, while you shook your head, the hand that wasn’t busy holding your tea found its way to your forehead.
“It kinda does actually.” You laughed as you spoke, one of the many details Eddie loved about you.
Love, as it turns out, is not one particular thing, but a conglomerate of them. Eddie was now realising that, as he put that laughter on the bottom of the things he could not live without.
“You said it was good!” Eddie raised his tone as he playfully bumped your shoulder with his, your head resting on it now.
“I didn’t!”
“Yes you did!”
“No, you asked, do you like it? and I said yeah…” You replicated the downward tone, replicating the irony you had used in the past.
“Oh, fuck off.” He was the one laughing with you now, holding into you tightly, his arm wrapping around your waist. “I’m sorry I left myself in, I kinda needed to talk to you actually.”
“Shoot” You said as you nodded to the couch, knowing it was better if the both of you were sitting down, able to look at each other.
Eddie’s steps followed you closely, strangely enough his words didn’t worry you. Not if his hand was intertwined with yours.
“What’re you watching?” He raised his brow at the T.V, still playing nonsensical ads.
“I don’t really know honestly” You added in an embarrassed hushed tone as you turned it off. The silence of the moment makes the bubble feel smaller. “What do you uh…”
“Right.” He took a sharp breath in, enjoying this moment even if he wasn’t sure what he actually wanted to tell you, you looked too beautiful not to take in. Even if your hair was put away in a messly manner, flyaways framing your face as you tilted it, looking deeper into him. Even if the only thing you were wearing was that faded shirt, it still let him look at your legs, and the softness your skin promised if he were to touch them.
“Moon?”
“Sorry, got distracted.” He muttered, shaking his head as his eyes left your legs, linking back with yours. “I uh… I realised I may have been a dick earlier, as Wayne pointed out.”
“Wayne?”
“Yeah he uh… He really does know when I get into my head”
“I could kinda tell.” Your eyes now avoided making contact with his, focusing solely on the way your fingers wrapped around the end of your shirt.
Eddie had your nervous movements learnt by now. If you held his sight he knew you weren’t overthinking, just trailing off so you’d play with whatever you had at hand so you would stay focused, but if your eyes landed elsewhere, he knew that your brain was going a mile a minute.
So his hand grabbed yours, pulling you back to him.
A tilt in his head as he scotched himself closer to you was all it took for your heart to stop racing.
“Not your fault, my love.” He reassured now, his words trailing off in that softened tone he only had for you. “I just didn’t know how you’d take it, the whole Paige thing and I freaked out.”
“If you freak out, I freak out.” You pointed out as your gaze finally met his.
“I know, I’m sorry” You gave into the palm of his hand as he cupped your cheek, the other one was still interlocked with your fingers. “I’m just really scared.” He confessed, whispering now.
“What for?” You looked at him through your eyelashes, you had never looked more angelic, pure, a clashing look with the concern on your tone.
“That the more you know about me, the easier it will be for you to find a reason to run off. And I’ll stay here, heartbroken over you” You could feel the sincerity leaking through, the earnestness in which he spoke was truly admirable, you had never seen someone be as open as he was being.
Brave.
You could be brave too.
“I’m not leaving, Moon.” You kissed the tip of his nose before letting your forehead touch his.
Eddie could feel his lips curving upwards even if he tried for them not to.
“How can you be so sure?” If you weren’t as close as you were, you were sure you wouldn’t have heard it, or the warmth he emanated with his vulnerability.
Brave.
You had to be brave for once, even if you could feel your heartbeat on the back of your throat.
“Because… You don’t run away from the things you love.”
Eddie froze on the spot. A sense of complete glee washed over him, and he could swear he just felt his heart miss a beat, as if it had answered before he was able to. He widened his eyes before separating your foreheads, just so he could look at you.
You and your flushed red cheeks, you and the way the sincere smile turned into a flirtatious and nervous one, while you tried to mask it by biting your lower lip.
“I knew you’d say it first” He cave in with that stupid grin in his face, his dimple making an appearance on his cheek.
“Fuck off” You chuckled as you scotched in even closer, your legs finding their way over his.
“I couldn’t run away from you either” He pointed out, the hand he had on your cheek now on the back of your neck, fingers tangling with your hair.
“Why’s that?” You played dumb now, pushing your body into him, as you sat on top of him, your arms resting on his shoulders, your gaze deep into his.
“Because I might love you too” He played too, following your lead as he pulled you in even closer, your noses touching again.
“MIght?”
“I do”
“I thought so, idiot”
You were both grinning, smiling and laughing all at once.
A weight had been lifted, as you had finally been brave for once, and actually spoke your mind.
It was even better now that he was finally kissing you, his lips gracing yours with that slowness that marked a good meaningful kiss and moment. Only made better by both of your lips curving upwards, still processing what had been said.
It had been more than the first i love you.
It had been a promise.
One that you both intended to keep.

the campus café was always busy, bustling with the usual clatter of coffee orders and murmured conversations. today was the same, and you’d usually start grumbling to yourself over the fact a random group of students were being too loud in the farthest corner, but you couldn’t care less this time because it wasn’t possible.
no, it couldn’t be possible.
you sat frozen at your usual spot, gripping your iced latte so hard the condensation dripped onto your fingers as you watched the man you once dreamt of now in the flesh, breathing and all. he was reading something on his phone, one elbow lazily propped on the table, head tilted the same way you imagined. his sharp, cat-like eyes were focused, framed by messy black hair that was so perfectly imperfect it had to have been styled on purpose.
what made everything worse was the fact he was merely a table away, utterly oblivious to the way your entire sense of reality had just been derailed.
you slammed your laptop shut in attempt to scare your thoughts from plaguing you any further, but the sound came out sharper than intended. in fact, it was loud—well, loud enough to earn you a glance from the person you least wanted attention from.
you watch as his lips curve into a faint smirk, and you knew—you knew—he’d seen it all and before you could look away or bury yourself in your drink, he stood.
panic began to bubble in your chest, the feeling slowly rising up to your throat. no. no, no, no. he wasn’t actually—
he was.
in a matter of seconds, he was standing over your table, coffee in one hand and a casual confidence in the other. a shadow fell across your table, and you dared to look up. “mind if i sit here?” he asked, gesturing to the chair across from you with the tilt of his head. his voice was smooth and you could’ve swore right then and there that he was teasing you.
“uh… sure?”
the word barely made it out before he slid into the seat, setting his coffee down with an ease that made you wonder if this was a regular occurrence to him. “you seemed like you wanted to say something earlier,” he casually said, leaning forward slightly, his gaze pinning you in place. “but then you just… stared.”
you felt your cheeks heat up instantaneously from his comment. “i wasn’t staring,” the lie escaped far too easily—but even you couldn’t convince yourself it was true.
“no?” he raised an eyebrow, the playful disbelief in his tone impossible to miss. “you sure about that?” before you could snap back, he smirked, tapping the edge of his coffee cup as if he’d just thought of something. “by the way, i’m wonbin. figured you’d want to know, since you seem so fascinated.”
the sheer audacity of his remark made your jaw drop. “i wasn’t—”
“staring?” he finished for you, his grin widening as he leaned back. “right. you mentioned that. but now that we’re here, it’d only be fair for you to tell me your name too, wouldn’t it?”
you pursed your lips as you debated whether to play along or simply walk out of this conversation altogether, but there was something about the way he looked at you—so completely unbothered yet intrigued—that made you answer without thinking.
he repeated your name like he was testing it on his tongue before the expression on his face changes into one of satisfaction. “nice. i’ll remember that.”
you glanced at him with silent judgement, trying to regain some semblance of control in this strange interaction. “you make a habit of throwing strangers off like this?”
“only the interesting ones,” he shot back, gaze sharp but amused. “so, now that we’re acquainted, what’s this you’re hiding from me?”
right. that.
you let out a nervous laugh, fingers tightening around your iced latte as if it would save you. “okay, maybe i was staring. but it’s not what you think.”
“oh?” he asked, curiosity glinting in his eyes. “then what is it?”
your mouth opens for a brief moment before it closes back shut from the lack of words coming out. how could you even begin to explain this? that he looked like someone who lived in your dreams and that you may have potentially written about him for an assignment of yours?
“it’s… complicated,” you finally answer, the words falling flat.
“complicated’s fine.” he said easily, resting his chin in his hand, watching you like he just found the most fascinating thing in the room. “i’ve got time.”
“fine,” you muttered, slumping back in your chair as you crossed your arms. “i wrote about a dream for class.”
his eyes widen just a little, a flicker of intrigue crossing his face. he leaned forward slightly, resting his elbows on the table. “and how does this relate to me exactly?”
you hesitated, now fidgeting with the straw of your iced latte. avoiding his gaze only made the confession harder. finally, you huffed and met his curious stare head-on. “cause… you were in that dream.”
that seemed to catch him off guard for a split second before his lips curved into a slow, teasing smile. he leaned back, his hand lazily swirling his own coffee cup. “now this is getting interesting. keep going.”
your face burned and you shook your head, shooting him an incredulous glare. “no, i’m not telling you anything else.”
“what’s it gonna take for you to open up to me, hm?” now you’re the one with an eyebrow raised. his words hung in the air, laced with an almost playful daring that made your heart stutter and race all at once. the curve of his lips was teasing, yet his eyes betrayed something deeper—a glint of genuine curiosity that made it impossible to brush him off entirely.
you tilted your head, meeting his gaze with a resolve you weren’t sure you possessed anymore. “and what makes you think i owe you an explanation?”
his grin widened, leaning back against his chair as if settling in for a game he had every intention of winning. “you don’t owe me anything. but,” he paused, his fingers lazily tracing the rim of his coffee cup, “i can tell there’s a story behind all this. and you seem like the type of person who’d rather share it than let it eat you alive.”
the audacity of his confidence made your jaw tighten. yet, as much as you wanted to scoff and wave him off, the glimmer in his eyes, the slight quirk of his lips—it was all too disarming.
it was as though he already knew he’d worn down your defenses, even before you did.
you leaned forward slightly, mirroring his posture. “you know, you’re awfully presumptuous for someone who just walked over uninvited.”
his chuckle was low, a warm rumble that seemed to ripple through the chaos of the café and settle right in your chest. “fair enough. but you let me sit here, didn’t you?”
you blinked, trying to will away the heat creeping up your neck. he had you there.
wonbin takes your silence as a well-earned victory. “so,” he started off proudly, “what was i like in this story of yours? don’t hold back—i’m dying to know.”
you blinked at him, your mind scrambling to piece together a response. the sheer improbability of it all—the person you believed only existed in your imagination now sitting across from you, teasing you like it was the most natural thing in the world—sent your pulse into overdrive.
“i… still don’t think i should tell you.”
“why not?” a playful pout replaces the smirk that was once resting on his lips, “was i boring? a nobody? or—his smirk widened, and there was a dangerous edge of amusement in his tone—was i the love interest?”
your breath hitched, and the iced latte in your hand felt suddenly too cold, too real. “what? no! it wasn’t like that.”
“hmm.” he hummed in mock contemplation, his eyes never leaving yours. “you say that, but the way you’re turning red right now is kind of telling.”
“because you’re being impossible!” you shot back, the words tumbling out before you could think.
his laugh came easily, warm and unbothered, and somehow it made the heat in your cheeks worse. “relax, i’m just messing with you. but, hey, you’ve got to admit—it’s flattering. i mean, you dreamed me up, wrote about me, and now here i am. feels like fate, don’t you think?”
you narrowed your eyes at him, torn between frustration and the urge to laugh at his nerve. “fate would’ve made you less obnoxious.”
“aw, now you’re just being mean.” he grinned, standing up and grabbing his coffee. “but i’ll take it. dream me up again sometime, yeah?”
before you could muster a response, he was already strolling away, a casual wave tossed over his shoulder. you found yourself watching his retreating figure, but this time, your thoughts lingered on the possibility of meeting him again—preferably not in your dreams, you hope.

it is most definitely jakey hours!! i love that man sm <3 can i request something where jake has a famous s/o?
I am so sorry. This is just crack man.
Jake Kim x Idol!Reader: That's my girlfriend!
F!Reader. Crack.
Tumblr media
"That's my girlfriend."
"What, really?!"
"Yep!"
Lua's jaw drops, grains of rice falling from her mouth.
"This one?" She signals with her chopsticks, smearing the food across her laptop screen but she doesn't care. She needs to make sure.
"That one." Jake nods, a proud smile on his face.
"But she's super famous! She's got millions of subscribers." What Lua means to say is, how on earth did you bag her?!
"Yeah..." He agrees, eyes looking dreamy and glazed. "I'm one of them."
"Huh," is all Lua can say. She sees no reason why Jake would lie but... She takes one more look at the screen, and then glances at Jake. With his over slicked hair, the greying shirt, the corny smile, the dwindling bank account, and-
Wow. Talk about punching above your weight.
.
.
"Look, Jerry!" Jake thrusts his phone in his No. 2's face. "That's me and Y/N at an awards show last night. Doesn't she look great?"
"Yes, boss." Jerry refrains from sighing. Thinks about how much he respects and loves Jake. How happy you make him.
Jerry can put up with how insufferable he is.
"She's so creative and talented!"
"Yes, boss."
"That's my girlfriend, y'know."
It's a small price to pay, Jerry thinks to himself over and over. It's a new mantra.
"I know, boss."
.
.
"That's your girlfriend?"
"Yep!"
Sinu grabs Jake's phone, yanking it closer to inspect the person currently being interviewed at some talk show or another. "Are you sure?"
"Yep!"
Sinu glances at Jake's beaming face, then again at the girl talking and pulls a face. He thought he was the one losing his mind after being drugged and the whole ordeal with Workers for the past year.
Who would have thought Jake Kim would be off his rocker too. Full of delusions about being with some starlet.
Sinu should have a word with Yeonhui and Jerry.
"Sure, Jake!" Sinu plasters on a fake smile and throws his arm around Jake's shoulder, giving him a gentle pat. "I'm really happy for you!"
"Thanks. She makes me really happy." Jake smiles. It's softer and more sincere than Sinu has ever seen.
Sinu hides the frown tugging on his lips. Maybe Jake's sanity has snapped from the pressure of last year.
"Let me just-" Sinu edges away, moving toward the door. The quicker he seeks help for Jake, the better. "...I'll be right back. Don't hurt yourself, ok?"
Jake tilts his head in confusion as Sinu swiftly exits. What's up with him?

Flores | Huening Kai
Tumblr media
Genre: royalty au, fluff
Pairing: Gardner!hyuka x Princess!reader
Warnings: she/her pronouns, reader wears a dress, might contain grammar mistakes. English is not my first language.
Lua’s note: a little bit fluff for Valentine’s Day! Also, this is just a little snippet from a story I'm writing. This is just the Valentine's Day version of it! This will be a much longer story.
-
You wore your favorite dress for the occasion. You waited excitedly for Huening Kai at the door of the garden. You had received a note earlier from him.
Meet me behind them all,
Meet me at the back garden :)
-Kai
Your foot tapped impatiently on the ground as you look around for any sign of him. As you look around you saw him walking towards you with a beautiful smile on his face.
“Hello, Princess.” He said once he was in front of you. He wore a button down with his sleeves rolled up the elbow.
“Kai… you look so- handsome.” You blushed as you said those words.
His cheeks turned red and he chuckled. “You do too, Princess.” He paused. “Wait- I mean you look pretty, beautiful- uh not handsome.”
You laughed softly at his nervousness. “It’s okay, I guess I can be handsome too.”
He nodded. “Yeah, you’re every synonym of pretty.” His words made you blush even more.
“Thank you, Kai. You’re always so sweet.” You said.
“Just with you. But anyway, I have something for you.” He extended his hand for you to take.
You smiled, feeling a flutter of excitement as you took Kai's hand, curious about what he had planned for you.
As you approached the spot near the greenhouse, the sight took your breath away. There was a blanket laid out on the grass adorned with flickering candlelight, casting a soft, romantic glow over the area. In the center of the blanket sat a stunning bouquet with your favorite flowers, their vibrant colors illuminated by the gentle light.
"Kai, this is... beautiful," you murmured, feeling your heart flutter.
Kai smiled, his eyes reflecting the flickering candlelight as he squeezed your hand gently. "I'm glad you like it, Yn. I wanted to make something special for you."
As you settled onto the blanket together, the sweet scent of flowers filling the air, you couldn't help but feel a sense of peace and contentment wash over you. This moment, here with Kai, felt like a dream come true—a moment of pure happiness and connection. A moment where you two could finally be together.
"Thank you so much for this, I really appreciate this." Your words were genuine and filled with love.
Kai's smile widened at your words, his eyes shining with the warm candlelight. "You're welcome, Yn. I just wanted to show you how much you mean to me, how much I cherish every moment we spend together." As he spoke, he reached out to brush a stray strand of hair from your face. "You deserve nothing but the best, and I want to do everything I can to make you happy."
Touched by his words and his sincerity, you leaned into his touch, feeling butterflies on your stomach. "You always know how to make me smile, Kai. I'm so lucky to have you in my life."
He leaned in closer, his lips hovering near yours as he whispered, "And I'm the luckiest man in the world to have you, Princess. I know I can't give you much, but I'll make sure you're always happy and receive all the love you deserve."
"Kai, you give me more than you'll ever know," you replied, you looked up to meet his eyes. "You give me your heart, your support, and your love. And that's more than enough for me."
His heart filled with joy with your words. "Princess, can I be the first to kiss you?"
Your heart skipped a beat at Kai's request. With a soft smile, you nodded, your gaze locked with his, feeling the warmth of his breath against your lips.
"Yes, Kai," you whispered, your voice barely above a breath. "Please be the first."
And with that, he closed the distance between you, his lips meeting yours in a soft and innocent kiss. And as you wrapped your arms around him, pulling him closer, you felt a sense of completeness wash over you, knowing that you had found your soulmate in Kai.
After a few seconds, you pulled away. His forehead pressed against yours as you caught your breath. A soft chuckle escaped his lips making you smile.
"Princess, please be mine?"
Your heart swelled with emotion at Kai's heartfelt request, his words echoing the love and devotion he felt for you. With a smile, you looked into his eyes.
"Kai," you whispered. "I've been yours from the moment we met."
And with those words, you sealed your commitment to each other, knowing that your love was strong enough to weather any storm. As you wrapped your arms around him, pulling him close, you felt the happiest you've ever been.
You wanted this feeling to last forever, and something assured you that it would. Kai was your forever.

Hello! I love your recolors so much, and I come to you with a humble request: will you recolor the instruments in the game in lua's colors?
I plan on taking a look at them but don't know if I have the skills for it. I'm slowly working my way through Michelle's recolors on Mod The Sims and will definitely give it a try when I get to them, or I might give it a go sooner than that, just depends on what I feel up to doing. Thanks for letting me know you're interested, it is very motivating to know other people would also like these things in their game

bright eyes | eddie munson x reader
summary you're a new neighbour in the trailer park, you meet his friends, and go on a date to figure this out, navigating your relationship with him and his little girl (4.4k)
warnings fem!reader, girl!dad Eddie!!!!, fluff, mutual pining, yearning etc, slowburn strangers to lovers, idiots in love!!!, , english is not my first language so I apologise if there’s some mistakes, not proof read!
a/n: thank you guys for the support, i think that for a while i'll just do drabbles of this story if requested so enjoy! part1 part2. part4 (they can be read seperatly)
“Hi, what can I get for you?” Both the phrase and your customer service voice came as second nature by now. Practice makes perfect you once heard.
“Hi, yeah… Um, do we know what they want?” The tall boy with floppy hair asked the girl following him, she agreed with a smile and he looked back at you. His face looked familiar, though you had never seen him come here before. “I’d like milk coffee, and uh.. what do you want?” He asked back at the girl, who had been grinning with a smirk that you weren’t quite sure if it was dedicated to you, or it was just a nervous reflex from her.
“I’ll have an iced tea, and a cinnamon bun.” She waited for you to write it down, before she continued, which you’d never admit out loud how frustrating it was, if they knew they were going to order more. “And uh, a large black coffee, with no sweetener and a chocolate milkshake with a… did she like scones or blueberry muffins?” She turned around to the wild haired boy, who had its eyes lost in the horizon. Something in you told you he was trying not to stare, and if you were being honest, you didn't know if that was a compliment or not.
“Muffin.” He muttered, as he scratched his closed eyes.
“Muffin.” She affirmed with a cheery tone.
“Okay, I’ll be right back.”
You placed the order under your waitress number. Lucky number 17, even if there only were two of you. You prepped the coffees with your usual care, enjoying both the process and the smell that filled the air. Two small plates with a paper napkin under each pastry. You wrote down where they were seated while you waited for the milkshake and the iced tea. You still didn’t dare to make them. You had tried, you just never managed the right balance between ice cream, milk and cocoa powder. You did have fun however with the whipped cream and the chocolate shavings. Mainly because it was an excuse for you to eat the chocolate that you didn’t grate.
The bell above the door rang and your attention turned to it. A wide smile appeared on your previously concentrated face.
It wasn’t strange considering Lua was running down the small entrance corridor so she could meet you, your body already kneeling down at the floor so she could greet you however she decided to.
“Hi dude! I didn’t know you were coming” Your voice got high in unexpected excitement as she hugged you in her particular way. “How are you doing?”
“Happy.” She beamed, her hand hiding her face in her usual shy manner she always had when she was someplace that wasn’t as familiar to her.
“I hope you are, you’re getting a milkshake.” Eddie followed her closely behind, offering his hand for her to take it, she did as soon as she heard the word milkshake. Jumping a bit, knowing that that was an unusual treat.
It clicked in that moment, where you knew that boy from. He was in a lot of the photos Eddie had laying around, some were in frames, some were laying around his coffee table.
Though you knew him as uncle Stevie, you doubted that was his name. And if that really was uncle Stevie, then the girl had to be auntie Rob. It would explain the weird energy they had while ordering, and the grins that they tried to hide.
“Chocolate?” She asked back, her head moved around the both of you, she had to look up now, both of you doing what you didn’t realise you always did. While your feet stayed separated, your bodies always found a way to get closer, your waist pushed forward, his arms did too.
“And a blueberry muffin.” You added, with glee. The contrast between the excitement coming from Lua and the exhausting anticipation coming off from Eddie was comical. He grabbed the skin between his eyes, knowing that this sugar rush was going to tire him out.
“She’s not gonna eat dinner.” He adds, in a somehow frustrated mumble, as he looks back up at you. “And Wayne made Spaghetti with tomato sauce… And garlic bread…” He was making that exaggerated whining voice he knew made you laugh.
“I can have the leftovers.” He smiled, even if he knew that that was what he originally wanted. Another quiet night with you, Wayne out at work and an exhausted Lua, the promise of some alone time with you.
“Deal.” He tried to mask his excitement, with his usual grin, the upside down smile that curved to the right, where his dimple was, and you just giggled back at him, with a scoff and a playful roll of your eyes.
“Your friends are over there, I’ll bring your stuff in a minute.” He winked as a form to say thank you, he swung his arms so his and Lua’s hands moved in a way that made her smile, as she squirmed as soon as she saw his friends.
“Stevie!” She screamed in midst of laughter, she waved him hi, as she walked to Robin’s feet.
“Hey Lua.” Robin’s enthusiastic way of calling her name won her a high five, which she used to tease Steve. “I got a high five.” She sang her works in a mocking manner, knowing that Stevie would push her shoulder with his, she ducked a bit, the playful manner making Eddie smile.
“Hello to you too.” Eddie teased back, sitting down on a chair, helping Lua get up to the one next to him. He had forgotten to ask you for a booster, but nodded in an attempt to say thank you as he saw you approaching the table, milkshake in one hand, booster in the other.
“I’ll be right back with the rest of your order.” Your customer service voice becomes a bit more informal everytime you lock eyes with him, the stupid pink flush coming to your cheeks as he just smiled, his friends looking at him with a cheeky grin.
“Is that her?” Robin wasted no time, her hands on the table, and body pushed a bit too forward.
“Jesus! We said we were gonna be subtle.” Steve pushed her back into the chair, the softness of his gesture contradicted his harsh inane tone.
“What? She can be the rude one…”
“C’mon Eddie wouldn’t fall for the rude waiter.”
You heard that, and you weren’t sure what to believe. Were you the rude waiter? Did Eddie actually fall for you? And what does that even mean? You decide to act as if you hadn’t noticed, as if it didn’t really matter. You placed everything in front of who asked for it, but that comment was still on the front of your mind. You didn’t think you had been that rude, it was your eight hour of work, and you were leaving soon so you were exhausted, and maybe that had come out as rude, but still, it kind of hurts knowing that someone might think you are. Even worse if that someone is the best friend of the guy you had a stupid crush on.
Then there was the whole fall issue. Had that been just a poor choice of words? Probably. It had to be, because there was no way that Eddie had fallen, not really. Not in the scary four letter feelings. It was soon, way too soon. You hadn't even had an opportunity to go on that date that he had asked you on three weeks ago.
You were decidedly panicking, fidgeting with the blue pen you used to take orders. Your shift came to an end, and even if Eddie kept looking at you, waiting for you to come so he could actually introduce you to his friends, or alternatively he was trying to find a moment where he could stand up and go ask you if you wanted to meet them, he looked back and you weren’t there this time.
You were having a stress relief smoke that you’ll never admit to once he inevitably asks you about. You can’t think about it, you want to go home, have a shower and stop thinking.
So you did.

Eddie was worried about you, but he was a little too preoccupied with the little tornado in front of him. The sugar rush had hit as soon as he stepped into the trailer. She had been playing “the floor is lava”, placing everything and anything on her way so she wouldn’t actually fall. Once she got tired of it, she started playing house with dolls and teddys she had, now scattered around everywhere. She eventually got tired of that and just danced around to music that for once he could choose, until she passed out, the sugar crush came as fast as the rush had.
Quiet for once, Eddie let out a long exhausted breath, before picking her up. He enjoyed picking her up, knowing that the day would come when he wouldn’t be able to do it anymore. She was already with her stolen sleepshirt that she begged to put on as soon as they had arrived. So he put her hair up in a small ponytail, and left her to rest on her small bed, in the same room as he slept.
Someday, when he has more money,  more security in himself, he would get a nice place. A house with an extra room so someone can come and sleepover. A house that had their own garden, so she can run around without Eddie having to watch over her anxiously, worried that she somehow stumbled over into the woods, or found trash that didn’t belong in a play area for such a small girl.
That was the goal.
The long term one anyway. Right now he focused on cleaning the mess her little sunshine had made. His hair out of the way, he quietly got into it. The cushions, blankets and -previously- folded laundry was out of the way, the toys were sorted, and the remains of her laughter could still be felt on the walls.
Something was missing. And  that was you. And the promise that you had made to come over and have dinner.
So the worrying came back.
Doubt invaded his mind. He didn’t want to bother you, maybe you just forgot. Maybe you had fallen asleep. Maybe you had had enough of him.
But for once, he decided to trust his intuition, and if something deep in his gut told him that it wasn’t okay, he trusted it. He had to.
So he checked that Lua was still sleeping soundly, and he rushed to your door. The frown between his eyebrows appeared once again when he realised that your light wasn’t on. He knocked, slowly, not even realising that he was biting his lower lip, or that he was playing with his rings.
The light didn’t come on, but you did.
The faintest trace of runned down mascara was under your eyes. If that didn’t give away the fact you had been crying a bit, your red runny nose did.
A wave of guilt filled him, though he wasn’t sure why or what to do.
Truth be told, it wasn’t his fault, not really. You just had a tendency to overthink it all. And a weakness for words of people you didn’t know.
the mean one had followed you since you had gotten home. It was stupid, and definitely not that big of a deal, but it had bugged you enough that you had a breakdown nonetheless.
Maybe it was just one more thing that had sent you over the edge, that coupled with the fact that you had your insecurities over not feeling enough for him, or his little girl.
“What happened?” His voice came out softer, lower, imploring for an answer.
“Nothing, long day.” Eddie could tell that you were lying through your teeth. And you knew that he knew by the way his body reacted. Arms crossed through his chest in a self-defense movement he still conserved.
“I’m gonna heat up dinner. If you want some you can come.” You couldn’t decode if his tone was regretful or resentful, but his eyes shined with hope that’d you’d come, so you nodded.
“Give me a second?” He mouthed a muted yeah, as he turned around, his feet skipping the ground in a nervous manner.
Maybe they didn’t mean for you to hear it. Maybe it had been a joke that you had the misfortune to hear. But it still stings, so you switch your uniform for something comfier.
Those jean were barely hanging on by a threat, the seam on the inside of your thighs had started to open in some points, and they didn’t fit you as snuggly as they once did, but they were the comfiest they have ever been, and the most comforting ones -oddly enough- so was the black shirt that had been previously splattered with bleach. It didn’t really matter to Eddie, he still thought you were the prettiest girl he had ever seen.
He was trying not to show his worry, but he wasn’t that good at it. He was  quiet, which he never was, and he couldn’t stop playing with his rings.
He sat down on the stool, right in front of you, the kitchen aisle separating you both.
“Okay look...” You broke the silence. His fork clinging on the cold surface makes your attention shift into it. “I had a little cry over some stupid shit, but I’m fine.” You take a sip out of your water, looking back into his questioning eyes.
“You want to talk about it?” Eddie tries to get more information out of you. His expression softer, caring deeply for you.
“It’s stupid. Honestly.” You try to brush it off, playing with your food in a lazy manner with your fork, avoiding his stare. Because you know that if you do look at him, you’d crumble.
“I don’t care, I like listening to you.” His voice was deeper when he was mid bite, but his world made you fold, and you give in.
“I overheard your friends…” You think he might say something, but he just stays quiet, an embarrassed expression on his face. “They said that you fell for ‘the mean one’” You add, drawing air quotes with your fork still in your hand.
“Jesus…” He added in disbelief. His head was buried in the palm of his hands.
“I know it’s dumb I just… I told you I don’t know how to go around this whole thing and your friends saying that it's just-” He cut you off, even if he didn’t mean to, he knew you were rumbling when it was all a misunderstanding.
“It’s not dumb it’s just… They weren’t talking about you.” Your eyes widened in embarrassed shame. “They were saying that they were glad I didn’t fall for the mean one. They’re happy I have a thing for you, and not Brittany.”
“oh”
“Yeah, they like you. I think. And we met up in the café because they wouldn’t agree to babysit Lua so I can go on a date with you if they didn’t meet you first but I didn’t wanna make it a big deal so…”
“oh”
“Yeah…”
The type of silence had changed. He had that dumbfounded, love-sick smile on his face. Your eyes were shining and your cheeks had become red. His hand was caressing yours, the soft touch invading you with a sense of calmness and warmness. Your lips curled upwards, some of your teeth showing.
“So we’re going on a date?”
“Next Friday, if that works for you.”
“It does.”
“Good.” Amusement clear on his tone, his dimples showing as he went back to eating. His hand not letting go of yours. “Now, finish eating.”
“I will, but I need my hand.” He chuckled with you as he slowly pulled away.
“Okay, sorry.”
“Idiot…” You sentenced before going back to eating. His amusement makes you smile deeper.
“Suddup, you like it.”
-
For once, Eddie let you help clean up in the kitchen.
After the conversation and the quiet dinner it was hard trying to keep away from him. It felt like magnetism.
And he couldn’t keep resisting you for that long. You were cleaning the dishes, whilst he dried them. His waist bumped into yours every so often with the excuse of dancing to the low music, not wanting to wake Lua up.
“This has to be Led’s best song” He mumbled, watching as you silently mouthed the lyrics.
“Their most popular, maybe… Best one? No way.” You shook your head in disbelief that he would say such a thing, hearing him chuckle at your reaction.
“What do you mean? It’s literally rock history! Jimmy Page’s solo has become one of the most famous ones” He tried to fight back with you, as you continued to smile in disagreement. You stopped the water, looking him dead in the eyes, seeing the way his smile only grew fonder, his usual grin present in his face.
“Sure, Stairway to Heaven had like a huge cultural impact and blablabla but c’mon… Dazed and Confused? Immigrant Song? Black Dog? Tangerine? You Shook Me? You want to talk about guitar solos… Achilles Last Stand has some of the most incredible ones” You argued back, he was impressed, but he was not used to losing, even less so when it came to music.
“Achilles Last Stand is a ten minute song, that’s too long…” You chuckled at that, his eyebrows raising as he looked deep into your half closed eyes from your laughter. “What?”
“If you think ten minutes is too much… We’re gonna have a problem.”
He laughed in deep shock from your words, making you giggle a bit more as a reaction. He didn’t think about what he was doing, he just had an impulse and followed through. His arms wrapped around you, pushing you in for a deep hug, your head hitting his chest, as your arms find a way in his waist.
Eddie gave the best hugs, you thought. This being your first one, you were over observant. His fingers were buried deep in your hair, playing with it. His chest was softer than you had expected. And even if his house smelt of sandalwood and the faint smell of the food you had just eaten, he smelt of aftershave, shampoo and a trace of car grease. You closed your eyes, enjoying it all.
Eddie couldn’t resist the urge to kiss the top of your head. Or let his forehead rest on yours, enjoying the closeness he got to experience. He hadn’t been this close to anyone since before Lua came around. And he wasn’t used to this nervousness or excitement, this electricity with the way your breath mixed with his.
You pulled away a bit, close enough to still count his eyelashes if you wanted to, far away enough that nothing else could happen. You had to be careful, you had agreed to be careful until you could figure it out.
“Moon I…”
“I know.” He whispered back, his left hand cupping your cheek, his thumb caressing it slowly.
You heard the small steps coming from Eddie’s room, Lua had woken up and was looking for him.
“Dada?” She sounded half asleep, with a small panic in her voice.
“Coming.” He added, a frustrated look on his face, his tone remaining calm. He kissed your hand before stepping back. “Duty calls. See you friday?”
“Yes, tell Lua I said goodnight? You asked back, finding your way to the front door.
“Definitely. Sweet dreams princes.”
“Night, moon.”
You closed his trailer door as you saw him walking the corridor where his room was, the little night light giving you a little inside to what his room and his usual  nights looked like.
You went to bed that night with a lovesick smile on your lips and hoping that Friday came soon enough.
-
Friday came faster than both of you had anticipated. You got the whole day to yourself, the morning was slow, and Eddie let you sleep for once, they didn’t come over for breakfast. You wouldn’t admit it, but you had missed them, and Lua’s happy mumbling as she ate whatever you had made. Since it was only you, the bowl of cereal had lasted you until lunch, you just picked at it every time you felt hungry, amidst various house chores.
Clothes were cleaned.
Floors were mopped.
Bathroom was shining.
With a clean bathroom, you stared at yourself in the mirror. It had been two months since you met him, and your smile lines had come back. Your hair had become lighter from the sun, and your eyes shone again. You felt pretty, and you couldn’t wipe the lovesick smile out of your lips if you thought of him.
The water was hot, and it helped your body relax. You were starting to get that nervous excitement, before a date. A date with someone you actually (really) like.
When the time came, you crossed the road, knocking gently on his door, your hands playing with the hem of your dress.
Eddie got choked up as soon as he saw you. The black dress hugged you in a way he wished he could, your legs looked longer and he could get lost in them, even if they were hidden under black tights. But he really got lost in your lips, and the red that you layered over them.
“Hi.” Your voice came out shyer that you intended to. But your smile remained the same.
“Hi…” He couldn’t really form a sentence, his words seemed to be stucked in his throat. “You look amazing, jesus…”
“I could say the same.” He shook his head in disbelief, not really believing you.
He stood there in his usual white shirt and leather jacket, though this time his washed out jeans switched for black jeans that hugged his thighs in a way that made your head swing.
“I uh… I’m going to say bye to Lua, then we can leave.” You nodded, and peered inside for a moment.
Lua was playing on his living room floor, Robin and Steve by her side. He kissed her daughter’s cheek and whispered something that you didn’t catch, his friends waved at you, Robin mouthed a silent wow as she gave you a thumbs up that made you giggle on the inside.
-
The dinner was finished, and you had downed a couple bottles of wine. You ended up walking for a bit, before deciding to put an end to the night, the stars shining bright.
Eddie had done everything right. He had paid the bill, he opened the doors for you and made an effort to get to know you better. His eyes shining with every word that came out of your lips. He was definitely enamored by you, and the same could be said by you. His hand had not let go of yours since you had left the small restaurant.
His thumb played with the back of your hand, sending sparks through your whole body. You played with his rings, which only made him smile more. He told you that it was the only thing he ever bought for himself. Every year when his age changed, he’d get a new one. “Maybe you’ll get me one” You had teased back, which made him chuckle as he nodded.
His van parked behind his house, his fingers still intertwined with yours. You sat on the back of it for a while, looking at the sky in comfortable silence for a bit.
Eddie’s heart was racing, he couldn’t look at anything but you. You and the way your skin looked under the moonlight, you and the way your eyes looked at the moon. You and your red lips that he really wanted to taste.
You noticed.
Your head left his shoulder, so you could look at him. His breathing mixes with yours, your chest moving faster as your breathing quickened. His eyes flickered between your eyes and your lips, his trembling hand came up to the back of your neck, his thumb brushing your lower lip, asking for permission.
You were the one to break the distance.
In a swift movement, your lips pressed against his. Your heart felt at peace once you did. As if something had finally clicked, something was finally right. He smiled through the kiss as it grew deeper. He kissed you as if you were air and he was drowning. He had been dreaming of this since the moment he first saw you. And he finally got to kiss you, as much as he desired to.
Before pulling away, his teeth caught your lower lip. He was smiling like an idiot, his nose touching yours.
“We should…” You tried to be the voice of reason, knowing that you both had work tomorrow and he had someone to take care of on top of that.
“I know I just… I’ve been waiting for this for a while.” He admitted with glee before kissing you again, giggling in between kisses. His hand getting lost in your hair.
“I know.” It didn’t help that your tone came out in a more intimate matter that you intended to, the wine working its magic for the both of you.
“Do you wanna talk about it tomorrow?” He offered, thinking that you would need time to think things over.
“There’s nothing to think.” You admitted, determination in your voice. “This makes sense. If you’re okay with it I… We could try it? Maybe?”
Eddie couldn’t contain his happiness, kissing you senseless until his breath ran out.
“You’re sure?”
“Positive.”
“I can call you my girlfriend and everything?” He teased, a stupid grin on his face that drove you crazy, your head shaking as your smile gre big enough that your teeth showed.
“Girlfriend and everything.” You confirmed.
This time you were the one kissing him, your hands lost in his hair, pulling him in a bit more than he had dared to.
He walked you to your door even if nothing could happen to you, and kissed you goodnight for the first time. And his friends teased him and celebrated with him when he walked in with red lipstick on his lips.
He went to bed that night, knowing that things could only get better from now on.

Btw I am not so sure about it, but thought to ask you, are you good in cooking, as moon is highest degree planet in your chart... if you are good in cooking then you do have great career opportunities in this area..
hi lua! thank you so much love for answering my request<3 i really appreciate the analysis!
also, a small thing—mars is the planet at highest degree in my chart! moon is the second highest!
corelating to the mars placement, since you questioned the moon one; i have a younger sibling who is brilliant [like literally very brilliant], and i have noticed that often times the main key to the last problem to his endeavours is usually with me! since he is pretty emotionally vulnerable, i protect him from the negative thoughts or help him see the brighter side!
we physically fight sometimes, purely for fun, and almost all our sibling time revolves around doing physical activities or indulging in things we both find fun. we're more like best-friends lmao😭😂
on a more personal basis, i've been told i'm easily distracted, know the randomest of things and am a tough cookie to crack because when i want it, i want it lol. most people in my life get silently competitive with me even when i prefer peace and harmony. so i prefer to not be too close with others!
however i am pretty good with cooking too! i easily pick up the source of the dishes and like adding my own twist to it to make it better! people often compliment it.
once again, thank you so much for your valuable time <3
Your third house has fifth house Lord, which is good, sixth house Lord(Mars is ofcourse exalted in both charts); so working with siblings could also get you Fame, because Mars is with fifth house Lord, and also third house has eighth house Lord which shows lot of transformations and short travelling, mars is with eighth house Lord, which could be area of concern...

Justiceforkullervo: Good to hear from you mate. The injuries healed over well?
Spearofthetenno: Very much so, just one hell of an ache now. Hell, I was even able to go on a combat mission.
Justiceforkullervo: Ah good to hear, I’m guessing there’s been no…Wally situations?
Spearofthetenno: About that…
Justiceforkullervo: Oh Lua what now?
Spearofthetenno: Okay so I’ll start from the beginning. So, somehow, Amir made friends with this Scaldra guy on the same system I use to communicate with the Hex. We call him 77 for short, I think his name is [CENSORED].
Justiceforkullervo: Okay? How the hell did that happen?
Spearofthetenno: Beyond me. Amir didn’t really explain only that he did.
Justiceforkullervo: Okay so what does he have to do with anything.
Spearofthetenno: Well, to summarise poorly. His way in effectively allowed a bunch of other Scaldra folks in using his connection.
Justiceforkullervo: So the system is compromised?
Spearofthetenno: No-no, the system isn’t compromised I assure you that. More…well, 77 didn’t make it during the Reactor run. He was there when…yeah. So his system got passed around. Eventually it ended up in 3000’s hands.
Justiceforkullervo: And that led to us becoming the Calvary-okay. But what does that have anything to do with anything?
Spearofthetenno: Well, he’s back. After the reset. And he…he remembers captain. He remembers…basically everything right before his…you know.
Justiceforkullervo: Oh gods, everything?
Spearofthetenno: Everything.
Justiceforkullervo: Lua…I’d hate to be him right now. No one deserves to know they’re stuck in a time loop. Much less a normal guy.
Spearofthetenno: Yeah so…
Justiceforkullervo: So? I feel you’re gonna be hitting me with one of a request brother.
Spearofthetenno: Can I take a vacation-
Justiceforkullervo: Hey I ain’t forcing you to stay there, your prerogative-
Spearofthetenno: -with sevens.
Justiceforkullervo: I-HUH? Sorry, repeat that again?
Spearofthetenno: Hex were talking about possibly bringing Sevens to the Origin System and taking him to Kahl’s camp.
Justiceforkullervo: I-are you bloody serious Venahn?
Spearofthetenno: Well I volunteered if that makes that clearer.
Justiceforkullervo: You know there are way easier ways to come out of the closet-
Spearofthetenno: WHAT?! No, no, no- this is not anything like that!
Justiceforkullervo: Sorry I’m not judging you for who you date but like a Scaldra? You can surely aim a little higher.
Spearofthetenno: THIS ISN’T A DATE PLAN JACKSON! I JUST WANNA GIVE THE POOR GUY A BREAK! JUST LIKE A WEEK!
Justiceforkullervo: Okay! Okay! Okay! If you’re insistent, I can put the call out unless one of the other drifters has made that call really.
Spearofthetenno: I…thanks brother.
Justiceforkullervo: No issues brother. Just send me the photo of your “not date.”

An important step for RFC implementation is for people to experiment with the implementation and give feedback, especially before stabilization. The following RFCs would benefit from user testing before moving forward:
1.69.0 pre-release testing
If you are a feature implementer and would like your RFC to appear on the above list, add the new call-for-testing label to your RFC along with a comment providing testing instructions and/or guidance on which aspect(s) of the feature need testing.
