Ok I’m pissed off. So I saw people out there who think Kentin is weak af anD I JUST WANT TO TELL HOW WRONG IT IS like bro, the boy went to military school, has almost perfect reflexes, probs knows lots of fighting techniques, works out, even has a punching bag in his room, and y’all still be calling him weak because he is small? I feel like his Castiel fear is pointless. He could beat Castiel, who has the worst diet, smokes, who also doesn’t work out much, easily. Change my mind! Sorry for vent

I never mind anyone coming to vent, I enjoy the company anyway. :”3 ♥I’m going to have to agree to most of what you’re saying here. I’ve said this somewhere else, can’t remember if it was before Tumblr STOLE my main blog, but like, imagine Ken coming back from military school, he’s worked damn hard and certainly earned his muscles. But, he sees everyone, including Armin and Lysander has got just as good a six pack as he does. How in the heck!?

At least during the whole of Highschool life, there wasn’t any evidence that any of the other guys worked out at all (and please don’t talk about non-canon stuff like the manga, as far as we knew in the game, Nat didn’t work out, that freaking NEEERRD! X”3). They turned Ken into the “sports” or basically the workout guy, why isn’t he buffest? XD

Oh, Ken’s definitely not a weakling, realistically, he should be the strongest and most capable in a fight. I think what people misunderstood and in general was how insecure he was many times throughout HSL. I mean poor guy was bullied before he left, no matter what you do, those scars keep up with you, it takes a lot to get to a healthier state when you’ve been through trauma. I’m surprised Ken didn’t have more episodes considering what he has and may have been through, possibly since childhood as well. At the beginning before he went to military school, the only guys we knew of were Nathaniel and Castiel. Sure, Castiel never really did anything to warrant fear from Ken, but Castiel did come off as generally unfriendly and had a somewhat hostile look and aura to him, so I can understand the fear. We never know if Ken was bullied by a punk, goth dude before moving to Sweet Amoris, so then he’d have a bad association with that kind of person. The sad reality of life is, from what I’ve heard from men and etc., is that if you are considered weak and vulnerable, you are just more likely to get bullied, and badly, at school by your peers, especially other boys. If we know Ken was bullied by at least Amber and Co. Imagine who else might have? And depending on what kind of personality you have, you either turn that energy to kindness and empathy, or you get vengeful of the human race and you end up toughening up everything in order to protect yourself. It’s truly a shame, because Ken has such a sweet heart. You can tell he still has so much kindness and love to give and empathy for others, but he also struggles with faith and trust in humanity. He’d rather lock his emotions and heart away to keep from getting hurt again and physically as well. Not to mention, what may have happened between himself and his father. It doesn’t take a lot to figure they did not have the healthiest relationship while Ken was growing up. At the very least he must suffer from mental and emotional trauma from his father. Luckily, it seems like it was getting better by the end and Ken seemed able to forgive his father, but I still feel uneasy and uncertain about it, even near the end.

Oh, whoops. I always go on a tangent when it comes to Ken! ^^’’ I analyze everything too much and have a crazy interest in Psychology. Sorry, I went off on a tangent!

But yes, Ken really doesn’t need to doubt himself so much, if he could only find his confidence, he would totally beat any of them in a fight (in hsl at least and no offense was meant in saying that, it’s just stating common sense). He still could, but he’d need to calm down enough to clear his head and focus on the fight.

Personally, I love the idea of Ken being shortest, but fittest. X3 Well,,, I love him when he was even tinier too! I love that tiny little glasses boy. heh~ ♥
