hmmm lowkey Todd?? i dont really like him but the scene you can have with him at the bus with Kara and Alice was really nice. He is a terrible person and father but he's presented as really human. The game shows how hes multi-faceted and how he came to be the person he is but doesn't excuse his actions either. Infact it's really interesting and ties into the themes of the game, about capitalism and how it doesn't have the best interests of people in mind and how people who fall into poverty are fast tracked to destructive coping habits that result in negative consequences for them and the people around them. I dont like him as a person but I really appreciate his character and how hes written and presented. very realistic and interesting

1 - What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?)

Probably Parturition or for all the things my hands have held, the best by far is you. Both are Damian Wayne-centric, who is not a character I usually write, but both touch on themes (the meaning of family, the value of friendship, finding one's place in the world) I frequently use across fic.

2 - Go to your AO3 “Works” page, to the sidebar with all the filters, and click the drop-down arrow for “Additional Tags.” What are your top 3-5 most used tags? Do you think they accurately represent your writing habits?

Hurt/Comfort, Fluff, First Kiss. H/C and Fluff are pretty accurate, but surely I don't write fics where characters get together that much, right? Like I have way more interesting things to say than "Blorbo and Scrunkly are falling in love and kissed about it!"

8 - What song would make a great fic (to either write or read)?

Miss Missing You by Fall Out Boy. I have a JaySteph fic planned to it, if I ever get around to writing it. One day...

21 - If you wrote a “missing scene” in Safe With You and Bloodstains Won't Make It Matter, what would it be?

Hang on, let me reread Safe With You, because I have no fucking memory of writing it.

Okay, with Safe With You, if I was going to write a missing scene it would either be Cullen walking in on Kate and Harper's conversation in the kitchen (Kate mostly naked, shaking like a leaf, and Harper nonchalantly reading an academic article on her phone? Cullen would be like "I want to say this is the weirdest thing I've walked in on, but at this point it doesn't even crack the top five, and that's saying something.)

Bloodstains is harder...I think because, for me, the fic as a whole is so conceptually perfect beginning-to-end I have nothing more to add or take away. If I was going to do a missing scene it would be what happens after Jason gets pulled out of the pit. And at that point I'd be writing a sequel, so...it's no longer a missing scene.

31 - What’s your ideal fic length to write?

About 5000 - 10000 words. They'd probably be shorter if I could edit more ruthlessly, but the 5-10k is usually my sweet spot for saying everything I have to say.

34 - What aspects of your writing are inspired by/taken from your real life?

Well you see, everyone has C-PTSD and bipolar disorder with psychosis, and if they dabbled with substances in their youth, that's between them and God.

Seriously though, in my writing I like to explore the effects that very real, very canon traumas would have on the characters in question, and if there's even a sprinkling of mental illness there I will snatch it up and run with it. Like my real life, I enjoy writing about characters whose families were found, not blood. Also, pretty much every character in my extensive universe of Gotham City NPCs is inspired by someone I know in real life - yes, even the mafioso, yes, even the Chinese restaurant owner, yes, even the drag queen who frequents the punk clubs.

41 - Link a fic that made you think, “Wow, I want to write like that.”

I have two! The first is @aimmyarrowshigh's genuinely perfect drabble, Thrum, which I reread all the fucking time because I just think it is genuinely a perfectly crafted piece of writing.

The second is don't be suspicious by @nokomiss - because I feel like it employs humour and tension in a way I would love to master.
