BRAVO! BRAVO! This was an amazing episode! I was already in a great mood seeing that we were getting a Luigi episode but the Team really went above and beyond on this one, especially the writing. We got to see some development for Luigi too. I really did love Mario being a supportive and loving brother. As the oldest sibling, this has my stamp of approval! (No, I'm not crying, what are you talking about?) Then, just the little nods here and there with callbacks and references, I really appreciate that.

Now, let's not forget the animation, voice acting, and editing! Great job, Team, as always. You guys manage to surprise me every time. And whoever put the cornered theme, I owe you everything 💙

Overall, 1000/10, highly recommended! I do hope they continue on this streak of well-written episodes. (I wouldn't mind another funny/wholesome episode.) Give yourself a pat on the back, Team, every one of you did amazing!

How long have you been writing for? Roughly 10 years, on and off. BUT! Ive only posted for a year when I was younger on wattpad and only now am I getting into the posting scene again. The other years were mostly me roleplaying or writing for my school paper among other journalism stuff.

How long does it take you to write? For smaus, a complete one for every character I usually do will take somewhere around an hour and a half while longer fics can take me 3-4 days!! The only exception from that time frame was this shoko smut, which took me 1 night (aka 3 hours) and my hopes and dreams

How do you write so quickly? Training! Back then, my journalism training was timed, had to write a roughly 700 word article under an hour by hand. It was actually pretty fun, and since i type faster than I write, I guess thats why its pretty fast. I used to write 2-3 articles per day back then 😌 but im burned out now obvi

well keaton/nyx is something i always liked actually!!! it was one of my first revelation pairings. then i got really into laslow/keaton because its just. funny. the gay fates support really got me with the “whos a good boy…friend?!” thats hilarious. and then. laslow/nyx overtook my entire body and soul and is now my favorite fire emblem pairing of all time. sometime last year (? maybe two years ago?) i realized i could mix it all together and boom! throuple of all time born. throuple nobody but me gaf about!!! godbless!!! (no one really gaf about them in pairs either so what did i expect)

my thoughts

i understand that upon first glance the reaction to them is probably not “FUCK YEAHHH” but rather maybe “what are you talking about” but hear me out!! they could be very cute :3 also i think the imagery of inigo coming back home to ylisse with a scary witch lady and a literal monster is hilarious. and they were all lovers… i also think that they balance eachother out really well. i talk about laslow and nyx all the time (which i also wouldnt mind being asked about as a pair or separately… just saying 😇) but on their own it can get a little melancholic and sad!!! so keaton helps them from getting too absorbed within themselves and their misery because it is. a lot. likewise i think keaton also benefits because 1) he gets two very adoring partners 2) they both have really interesting perspectives on life and death that keaton just. never considers? which makes sense, hes a dog, and maybe trying to apply human ethics to someone who is not human is not reasonable, but i think they could challenge him in ways hes never been before. especially since hes like. trying to fit in with the other humans while hes with the nohrian army yk???

What makes me happy about them

LOOK AT THEMMMMMMM… in another universe, they would be the ultimate gothic horror throuple. UGH!! also i think keaton sleeps in beast form and gently holds his partners in his gigantic beast paws. aw.

Can I ask your top 5 (or top 3) favorite characters from Vanitas no Carte? And why you loved them? And your top 5 favorite moments from the series? Thanks if you want to answer....

I literally adore all the characters it's so hard to choose just 5 or 3 because to me they are all so well written and have so much depth to them. They all interwine so wonderfully that I can come up with a million reasons on why I like or am interested in each character!

My obvious choice of favorite [obvious meaning apart of the main character group] is Noe, for multipul reasons and mainly because I relate to him far too much for my own good on some of the things he says or does.

But out of the not obvious choices and main characters I would have to go with, Johann, simply because he is definetly keeping secrets of his own and gives off antagonists vibes and I'm excited to see where his character goes, and why he has such a strong dislike for Noe in the recent chapters. We could assume its just because he was oblivious and nieve and that's why Johann doesn't like him but it's definetly not just that. Johann almost seems to hold a- personal, vendetta agaisnt Noe. Or at least people like Noe. From how he gave him such a suspiciously timed look in Orlocks office. To how he almost always refers to him as- the other one. And never his name when not around him. I'm fascinated by his character.

My favorite moments however are alott easier to pick out: in no particular order.

1. The bell tower scene, I think everyone agrees that it's an amazing scene, and honestly everytime I re-read the manga I find myself so hyper focused on it that I just stare at Noes mysterious little smile for awhile, I really think that's when Vanitas finally started seeing Noe as someone he could open up to one day. That Noe gave him this hope of someone actually believing in him. And also the odd little moment at the end where Noe appoligies genuinely makes me think that never happend. That it's just something Noe wished he said back then and is just adding it in now, now that Vanitas is dead.

2. Little Louis when Noe was Introduced, when he pulled Noe In and said he felt bad for hom because his grandfather took an Interest in him. This is small moment but one that always gives me that- "OOOOH SHITTT" vibewhen I read it. I think that's wuen the manga was really leaning Into- the teacher is sus. And it also shows us that even before Louis found out he was a curse bearer that he knew his grandfather was never up to any good. It makes me wonder if their were other kids, before Noe. That didn't quite meet the teachers expectations and what was done with them.

3. The entire fight scene between Vanitas and Noe with Domi on the ferris wheel. Everything about that entire chapter is everything to me. And Vanitas' "why can't I kill you-" will always get to me. Because ot shows how much Vanitas has changed. How much he has developed enough to of actually let someone in.

4. The moment where Jeanne gets all flustered because vanitas said "I'm telling you. You're lovely" because I'm a multishipper and that oannel was just too adorable , Jeanne looked way to cute.

5. Noe lifted his hand up to talk in count orlocks office. Its small, but compares to hoe he acted the first time he was in orlocls office. It shows he has grown. Is their something else in Noes past that he has forgotten. Some point in his life where he wasn't referred to as Noe. Or even by a name at all. First he gets mad for Vanitas abiut vanitas being referred to as a number. Then mad at vanitas for only ever calling him that vampire, and then confused on why Dante and squad are only referred to as Dhams. Which would be curious concidering his teacher mainly uses a nickname for him and not his actual name most of the time.

So I rotate Sirius/Remus, Sirius/James, and Sirius/James/Remus in my brain on a constant basis like a chicken on a rotisserie. They're probably the top three slots, although that does change depending on the day.

Next up is Sirius/Kingsley - there's something delicious about the man in charge of the hunt for Sirius Black actually fucking him in secret and sending his aurors on wild goose chases all over the world.

Sirius/Bill and Sirius/Charlie are also delicious - they're scandalously young but also extremely hot. Bill with his curse breaking and his earring, Charlie with his thick forearms and his dragon wrangling - both are excellent partners for him.

Sirius/Bellatrix - I LOVE the headcanon that they were betrothed as children, and also Sirius fucking an older woman is very hot. He deserves to hatefuck her, and I also headcanon that he lost his virginity to her. Sirius/Rosmerta is also great for this reason - I do think that she's older than him.

Sirius/Ginny and Sirius/Cedric - let's talk about Sirius fucking Harry's exes, or even stealing them form him. Mmmmmmm delicious (sorry Harry). I can also get on the Sirius/Fleur train because @arliedraws is amazing at getting me to ship things I didn't want to, lol.

Hi anon, sure ask away! I don’t know if this will be the adoring rant you were hoping for but it will be an honest one 😊

I’m not quite sure how I first found Drarry fic - it’s been so long my memory is fuzzy! But I’m certain I started shipping them shortly after watching Chamber of Secrets. How could I not? The tension, the implications & complications, the blonde x brunette aesthetics! But I wasn’t fluent in English back then, so I’d mostly read fics in my mother tongue on Brazilian archives and on ff.net. Green Eyes was a major hit back then and one of my favorites. I started reading in English sometime around 2005, that’s when I found FictionAlley, Hex Files etc. I remember being utterly obsessed with Irresistible Poison, i don’t know how many times I’ve read it in a row, together with other old classics like Eclipse, Bond, Maya’s fics.

To be clear, I wasn’t only reading Drarry back then. I’ve always been a multishipper at heart and my fascination with the problematique was awaken pretty early on lol I’ve read all kinds of ships (If You Are Prepared is a Snarry series that still haunts me to this day) and tropes you can imagine - in fact, I was into sooo much stuff I don’t enjoy as much these days, like dub/non con, bond fic, Amortentia, infidelity etc. I’ve read it all and had a blast! I’ve also had a brief Wolfstar and even briefer Scorbus phase when Cursed Child was released but haven’t revisited them since. The sad thing about reading mlm as a kid and having to hide your internet history is that I didn’t keep track of anything :(

After 2008 I took 2 major breaks from fandom but my interest in Drarry remained, and I’d still read it occasionally, despite being completely immersed in another fandom. Something about the fic quality, the epic stories, the emotional payoff in Drarry still hit me hard and lured me in. But I was a lurker, too shy to interact besides embarrassingly long comments on ao3. I had no fandom friends. That changed when I got into the MCU in 2013 and created a Tumblr to get involved with the community. I had 2 short-lived but intense otps that consumed me as much as Drarry does, and I shared my first rec lists on a sideblog for one of them. But like I said, I’d still read Drarry on occasion! I found RoA as soon as it was published, and thankfully sara_holmes wrote for both HP and MCU 🙏🏼

I’ve said this before but I think my love for Drarry remained untouched over the years for a variety of reasons: the first one is that I really really loved the universe, and through fandom, I’ve fallen deeper in love with the (fleshed out) version of of these characters. I loved fics that were creative and full of world building because I couldn’t get enough of that magical universe. Unfortunately JKR ruined my sense of wonder for canon beyond repair and so I’ve had to repurpose the way I experience fandom and what I seek out of it. I haven’t read the books or watched the movies in a very long time and at this point my perception and feelings about HP and Drarry are fully shaped by my experience here, by the brilliant works I’ve read and the dear friends I’ve made.

Now this is about finding a safe and welcoming community in this corner of fandom, one that’s compassionate, brave, kind and that explores these characters the way I want to see. Now it’s about feeling like I belong somewhere after so many years of lurking around. Besides, enemies to lovers will always be one of my favourite tropes, I find it really compelling and I love the many ways we find to get these idiots to fall in love with each other over and over again. It’s certainly been a rollercoaster with lots of ups and downs, but fandom has been a big part of my life and identity for two decades now , and I’m nowhere near done 💜

Okay this is my ultimate Hoid infodump, I’m going to do all of the questions that are character-specific: I’m going to answer in full sentences so I don’t have to post all the questions! If you want to know all about my Hoid obsession I guess this is going to be the post for you, let’s go!!

3- I’m not sure if there was a specific moment that made Hoid into a Blorbo! I fell in love with him as the narrator of Tress of the Emerald Sea, and I think I loved him basically from the first chapter, just in the way he spoke. And then as soon as we ran into him as a character in that book, I just… yeah, it was single-hit love at first sight. 

4- The thing I love most about Hoid is that he makes me laugh. He’s just the right amount of kind of mysterious but also basically devoid of dignity and the combination is a real winner. 

6- I don’t think I really want the opportunity to talk to any of my F/Os, it would be too scary! There’s maybe two of them that I would actually want to see, and Hoid is not one of them. If I could get an anonymous letter to Hoid, I’d probably write him a silly little love letter, I think he’d get a kick out of a secret admirer. 

7- I’m not really in the Sanderson fandom enough to know what people might mischaracterize about Hoid. I’ve read some fanfictions that lean a little too far on the serious side: assuming that his sense of humour is 100% a defense/mask that goes away when he’s being true to himself. I think it’s definitely something he uses to keep his distance, but I also think it would slip through even when he’s being sincere. It’s too deeply woven into him at this point. 

8- I think Hoid is an extrovert. I mean, canonically, you leave him alone for a few days and he starts telling stories to random lizards and insects that he finds in the wilderness. He needs an audience. 

9- Hoid in three words… would be… sharp, flashy, irreverent. 

11- Yes, I have written fanfiction about Hoid and my self-insert! 

12- Yes, I talk about Hoid to my family and friends. And I’m encouraged to, by my wonderful partner who sent me this ask game!! My parents could probably stand to hear less about Hoid lol 

13- Hmmmm. Is there any crime or wrongdoing Hoid could do that would make me stop loving him? That’s a hard question. There are a couple of things I don’t like about him, which are mirrors of things I don’t like about Brandon Sanderson’s writing. No, I don’t think so. If he lost all of his joy, I might stop liking his character. But he could do a lot of terrible things and I would still love him. I mean… he did kill God, that’s kind of part of the character. I suspect he’ll be a bit more of a morally grey character in future arcs, and I look forward to it. 

16- Yes, Hoid is canonically alive and mostly immortal! 

17- I very rarely have characters that I genuinely want to find whump content for, but I think Hoid being mostly immortal just makes me want to find the limits of that. So, yes, I like to see my Blorbo suffer. I am always coming up with new plotlines in my head where he gets hurt or cursed >:) 

18- I ship Hoid with many characters! I’m an unrepentant multishipper when it comes to my funky little guy, and I refuse to commit to a single favourite. Except for me, obviously. :P 

19- Yes, Hoid fits one of my blorbo types: I love meta characters and storytellers. He fits the niche perfectly. 

22- I don’t know if I’d love Hoid if he was real! Probably not: men just aren’t usually my cup of tea IRL. 

23- I don’t think Hoid is the victim of a bad plot, no. I do have a Sanderson blorbo that I think got wrecked by the writing, but Hoid is going strong… so far! 

24- If I could change one canonical thing about Hoid, I would make him genderqueer because I simply don’t think you make it across hundreds of cultures and thousands of years with your gender identity intact. 

25- I discovered Hoid because my beloved partner likes Brandon Sanderson’s books and when the solo kickstarter books came out, we read Tress together and the rest is history. 

26- When I started reading Tress, I knew I was going to enjoy it, and I immediately knew I liked the narrator, but I don’t think I knew until a hundred pages in that this was going to be a whole thing for me. 

27- I do not gatekeep my blorbo! I would like everyone to read the cosmere books! 

29- A Hoid fanfiction has never made me cry. It has been a long time since I cried over a fanfiction. (I lied. I cried over a fanfiction in 2023 but it was not a Hoid fic)

1: If you noticed, I did say that RadioApple shippers on the whole DON'T think the ship is likely. They're just having fun. Liking a ship doesn't mean you want it to be canon. Also, multishippers exist. A good number of RadioApple shippers are also RadioStatic shippers. As for the broken friendship, I feel the need to ask, have you ever had someone you trust and care for deeply betray you? Break your heart? Abandon you? To the point where you act like you hate them more than anything? Because those are deep wounds that often don't heal, and certainly don't heal cleanly. And that's just in general, ignoring the fact that both Vox and Alastor are self-righteous self-absorbed pompous pricks with their own agendas, neither of whom are willing to give an inch or apologize. They are both IN HELL and FOR A REASON. People can't be forced to heal. They have to be willing, and neither of these two are. So I think it's fair to think that relationship is unlikely to mend. Especially since the Vees are going to be the villains of the next season.

2: Lucifer IS special in the regard of getting Alastor to swear openly. Not unique, but special. The canonicity of those comics is in question, even moreso than the pilot. But even if it were 100% canon, that is still Alastor cursing under his breath, not with people able to hear him, unlike with Lucifer and even Adam

But even swearing at Adam, this is Alastor "letting loose" rather than "losing control" as Lucifer seemed to draw out of him. Alastor mumbling under his breath at Vox is more like this cursing

which is mostly without his filter and quiet. Again, to himself. If you notice when he has that single moment of anger when he sees Vox going off about him, no one is looking at him, not even the eyes in the walls. He's angry, yes, but he is in control, which was my point. Alastor is a very controlled person, and the only person he has entirely unwillingly and openly lost that control to is Lucifer.

3: Vox, on the whole, isn't pathetic. He's incredibly powerful. He's got all of Pentagram City, probably much of Pride, and maybe even some of the other Rings under his thumb. He's basically a tech god. In general, he's calculating, calm, and collected. He's entirely unfazed when Val throws a temper tantrum and nearly hits him with a glass and breaks his phone. He only momentarily loses his control when Val isn't listening to him, but smooths back over almost immediately, sweet-talking as anything.

But Vox IS also pathetic. He's thrown into a spiral at the mere mention that Alastor is back.

Even before Alastor butts into his song, he's anxious.

Then Alastor actually butts in and he loses his shit. Full on panics. He fucking blue screens. He has a temper tantrum big enough to cause a city-wide power outage.

Alastor is the exception to the rule. Alastor MAKES Vox pathetic. and in regard to Alastor he is extremely pathetic. And if a fanwork of any kind is going to be Alastor-centric, it's going to have more of Vox's pathetic side. I also think you might be equating incel and obsessive. Vox isn't an incel--Val is proof enough of that. But he is obsessed, single-minded, and, by every metric, a stalker. Which is also how I see the fandom usually portray him. Alongside pre-friend-breakup him being a sweet smitten kitten. I don't know where this "incel" idea comes from. As for toxic masculinity, I mean...sweetie, they're literally in Hell and his boytoy is a pimp. And even here on Earth, toxic people are frequently powerful and popular. Hell wouldn't be better. If anything, Hell would be WORSE. And again, Vox uses mind control, regularly fucks a pimp who openly abuses, molests, and assaults his most valuable workers, and advertises roofies. Vox IS toxic. There's no getting around that.

I also just wanna say it's not a bad thing to like characters that are genuinely awful people. But also, be real about it, y'know? Vox is hilarious and charming (and apparently sexy???) but he's also a twisted evil manipulative bastard. He's not some secret sweetheart, he's the embodiment of manipulation. And it's okay to like not only despite that but FOR that because it's all for fun!

I don't get how reciprocal RadioApple is seen as more canon or likely than Radiostatic and Radio silence is the only possible thing for VoxAl

descriptions!! i love to describing an area or action :) its why i use so many commas and adjectives (ill be real i was designed for poetry not this Action nonsense.)

oh and the slightly-more-objective stuff like grammar and spelling!

ok ive been told otherwise but i feel like im bad at pacing. also action scenes, that kind of physical placement conveyed through words

well.! i think its very important to, whenever possible, write the dialogue in the actual language in which it's occurring (for the sake of like immersion) BUT i do not . trust myself to actually present another language correctly with just myself and google translate as tools
