DELTARUNE CHAPTER 4 SECRET SPOILERS
I dunno how to properly do read more stuff as I am a newbie, casual blogger so imma just say a lotta stuff to act as a buffer. This has been a lotta stuff, if you are seeing this and don’t wanna see spoilers then GET OUT!!! Shoo, scram, scramble, scrambled eggs, breakfast, break away fast, whatever! Deny the temptation and cease reading!
anyway for those who havent ran I’ll be talking about Motormouth Mike(s). Now Ive seen a lotta folks taking this secret in bad faith. “Toby is spitting in the eyes of his fans.” “Mike was a massive troll all along.” “Tricky Tony strikes again, he is such a massive troll!”
BAAAMP! WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG! ONE THOUSAND YEARS OF FALSEHOOD!
This ain’t a boss made outta malice, it’s just some light hearted fun. A nod to the community and how much we’ve focused on Mike. Each Mike is a reflection of the three most popular Mikes. An object head Mike with only a mouth and a suspiciously familiar suit. IMAGE_FRIEND Mike. Friend Inside Me Mike. Sure it ends with a jab at how we hyper focused on Mike and how most theories ended up swinging Mike way, but it’s also a homage to all of that. A fun boss acknowledging our collective deltarot as a community with a banger theme and a fun gimmick (even if my poor laptop had a microphone which peaked with any noise and lagged out my already outdated system LOL). Furthermore in a chapter defined by being unusual it serves as a brief reprieve into classic shenanigans with the vibes that the first two chapters had before the story started to peel back the facade of each dark world being purely an adventure for the characters to revel in without worry.
Also why yall acting like this disproves Mike being significant? Toby knows his audience, dya really think he’d call attention to the character so much in the first place for nothing? Sure, name choice is a big shot soda reference but that doesn’t change the fact that attention was drawn to it followed by a direct connection to the next main boss. Added to being brought up in the sweepstakes, in my mind I can’t see Mike just being a throwaway character… it’s just not a character we should have focused on even half as much as we did though.
It’s as the trio of Mikelings said, the idea of Mike had to come from somewhere and sometimes when things are asked of Mike it just sorta happens. If Mike was truly unimportant, Toby woulda probably just added a boss with no greater importance that serving as someone Spamton and Tenna considered a friend but instead he technically just made the character MORE mysterious
Maybe Im just coping but I bet ya this ain’t the last we hear of Mike. I just don’t think it is currently worth theorizing over because that’ll get folks back into the cycle or relating everything to Mike instead of letting theories flourish outside of this mysterious figure. I mean seriously anytime something showed up it just became Mike including Toby Fox making a cursed Toy Story Remix
Until a time in which we either get more Mike hints or Mike is fully reconfirmed, why not enjoy the playful jab playing homage to our insanity. I mean, Mike or not we got three whole character designs outta this with their own dynamics and everything! I expect fake Mike(s) fan content to consume now! Im talking shitposts, fan art, the inevitable MIKE THROUPLE FANS! Even if you believe Tricky Tony is just purely messing with us with the idea of Mike, doesn’t that give ya the motivation to take the insult and EMBRACE IT? YOU GONNA LET EM WIN NOW?!?!? IF SO YOU NEVER DESERVED MIKE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!
MIKE ALL DAY
MIKE ALL NIGHT
ONLY MORE MIKE CONTENT WILL FEED MY DELIGHT
