So I have read about your Interceptor of Team Xen fanfic and I find it pretty intriguing and good. Especially how Belial's interactions with the Xen Executives (idk how about Cassandra). I can't wait what will happen next in Blacksteeple Castle.I feel bad about Venam and Ren (and Melia too) given their friend is now with Team Xen. Like that's a dramatic divergence :(

But I have one question: What will Belial's relationships with the Gearan Gang be like?

melia- just tragic. they would have gotten along so, so well if there hadn’t been so many misunderstandings along the way… as it stands, they reluctantly fight each other while trying to get the other to see their perspective

ren- they’re close. very close actually. but they fall out massively in later chapters because ren bridges the gap belial can’t ever try to.

venam- absolute hatred. venam is much angrier and lashes out more in this au, particularly with belial.

Does anyone in the Rejuvenation community care about this daganropa fan game like I do? I know that Rejuvenation has some moments inspired by daganronpa but that doesn't mean everyone here is a fan. I really like Project Edens Garden because none of the characters seem basic or expendable or annoying like certain members of the official daganronpa cast. I've been interested in this character Diana Venicia for a while now and I'm really glad to be seeing her get more character development at the end of chapter one. Now that I think it though, she kind of reminds me of Paragon Belial. Just a little bit. (Belial is the interceptor oc made by @pokefangamebrainrot look up their story Interceptor of Team Xen it's very cool.)

crack theory 🤨❓

Okay, how do I explain this...

There are parts of this theory that are rooted in logic and parts that are wild speculation, but I think the overall theory is possible, albeit a little crazy. Then again, a lot of things in this game are crazy.

In short, my theory is that Zetta also has a form of Archetype power just like Melia does. But I don't think it comes from the actual Archetype; I think it's something similar but opposite. Because the Archetype is depicted as a golden triangle, I've been imagining this inverse Archetype as an upside-down silver triangle. Hey wait a minute.

Yeah, my theory is that this "inverse Archetype" is actually the Core. Outside of the visual similarity, we know that the Core is linked to the Interceptors' power, and they can transform just like Melia and Erin. The Core is also connected to the Ley Lines, and in the Karma Files, it mentions that Rifts form whenever a Ley Line is pierced. Zetta is the only character we know of who can directly interact with the Ley Lines to create Rift Pokemon*. Perhaps this is his version of the "superpowers" Melia, Erin, Allen, and Alice have because of the Archetype. If that's the case, then it would make complete sense that his power comes from the Core instead.

(*Quick note, I'm aware that there are other "Rifts" not created by Zetta, but a lot of them aren't Rifts in the lore, just in the gameplay mechanics. Carnivine, Dufaux, and Talon all became "Rifts" through alternate means, and though Ferrothorn and Hippowdon are real Rifts, they were created from rift matter that Bladestar stole from Team Xen (so they likely come from Zetta's power too, in a very roundabout way). The only other Rifts can't be explained this way are Volcanion, which Zetta very well could've made off-screen, and Aelita, which makes sense because Aelita turned into a Rift due to Vivian's curse. And Vivian already had a connection with the Ley Lines, that's how she could sense where people and Pokemon were. Okay back to the theory!)

The description of the Core also mentions that it contains and transports information about all life on Earth. That sounds a lot like something Zygarde, the pokemon responsible for keeping balance, would use, right? We currently don't know anything about the Zygarde host except their age: 25. Oddly enough, this is Zetta's biological age too. I say it's odd because most of the Xen Executives don't have specific canon ages, and if he's a clone of Melia, why make him so much older in the first place? It could be a coincidence, but I find it suspicious. Especially considering that everything with a Z name has been linked to the Core in some way: Zygarde, Zeight, Zorrialyn being where Castle Zygara once was.

To be clear, do I think Zetta being connected to the Core means he's an Interceptor? Absolutely not. Do I think there are three other Core-hosts like with the Archetype? Probably not. But I can't look past the fact that just after we get this lore dump about the Core, Crescent gives Zetta's pokeball to Melia. And in this teaser screenshot for v14, there's a new icon in the top left with Zetta's face and what appears to be the Interceptor's Wish. I'm not going to speculate about this screenshot because I have no idea what it means really, but at this point it's impossible to deny that Zetta is going to be important in Chapter 16.

Some last bonus points in this theory, aka the part where I start wildly speculating: When you combine the Archetype triangle and the proposed inverse Archetype triangle (whether it's actually the Core or a different thing), it would make the alchemical symbol for aether.

In alchemy, aether represents the space that isn't filled by any of the natural elements. It was thought to be the breath of gods, and harnessing the power of aether could connect the physical world to the spiritual one. Since Rejuvenation is a pokemon game, most players are already familiar with the word aether because of the Aether Foundation. The Aether Foundation created Type:Null, which was intended to be a manmade Arceus but failed, and they had to put on the helmet to contain its power. Rejuvenation acknowledges this backstory, calling it an "inconsistency" that two more Type:Null can be found in Aevium. Zepto is an obvious metaphor for Zetta's backstory as a clone, but I'd like to think the aether connection could mean something.

Speaking of inconsistencies, when you play chess against Zetta in the Nightmare Realm, all of the pieces depict characters in the game, and they all have a quote related to the character. For example, Neved's piece says "Your family before all else." All of the Xen executives are depicted as chess pieces here except for Zetta. This might just be because he's literally sitting across the board from you, but Risa (the Risa from the Nightmare Realm, not Clear pretending to be Risa) is also a piece on the board. Her piece is broken though, and it's not the only one. Eden's piece is broken too, and their quote ends in "Defiled." One other chess piece ends this way, one that seems to be missing a head. The full quote is, "To perpetuate consistency through inconsistency. The descendant of Zed. Defiled." There's the letter Z again. In an absence of other characters this could refer to, I'm assuming this piece is meant to be Zetta, which would mean that inconsistencies and being a "descendant" are more important to his character than we've been lead to believe. Could this be a hint that he's connected to the unknown Zygarde host?

Again, this last part is just wild speculation! The core (pun not intended) of this theory is that Zetta has his own version of the Archetype powers and maybe even his own transformation. I think it's likely that those powers would come from the Core, considering the lore we get in the Karma Files, but I'm not entirely sure. Whether I'm right or not, I'm just really excited for my favorite solosis to get more screen time.

Do You Have The Time?

A Thorough Dissection of What Past Aevium Means For You

So I've been reading through @/jazz-kitty's rejuv playthrough (not actually tagging them bc this will contain spoilers for shit they've not gotten to but if you're reading this Jazz, keep up the good work! It's super fun to read through your playthrough :>), and I've realized we got some concrete dates (in a fashion), meaning that, we might be able to figure out when Storm 9 happens, within a couple months! As well as some other details.

Anyways even if you don't want to hear my rambling about dates, there's gonna be something I really want to share underneath the cut, I'll put some big bold header text so you know where to scroll to.

Now, it all starts here, with Melia's Mimikyu, which we are there to see caught, giving us a concrete date, October 10th, 198X.

Now you may be asking yourself, but Sparkie, the screenshot says 1984? That's because my buddy Nym, who is on the dev team, stated that to its memory, the year is calculated based off your system date. Meaning that the year will change depending on the year you play Rejuv in. However, Jazz's post that I got this from does mention in the tags how the rest of Melia's pokemon are caught from 1981-1983. I had an old save file kicking around that was near Blacksteeple, and checking "Emma's" Pokemon in that I can also say that these dates are variable based off system time. Being 198X-3 through 198X-1. For simplicity's sake we're going to be based off of System Time being the year 2024, mostly because shit like 198X-1 is hard to read. But just keep in mind that as Rejuv is set in 202X these dates have about a 10 year range they can vary by, this will come back later, take note of this.

I want to establish before we go forward, you can also see how this works for yourself rather easily, if you go into the past and catch a pokemon, the date it's caught at will be your system time, minus 40 years. This, combined with some plot elements such as Melia's birthday being after she catches this Mimikyu confirms that the past segments take place exactly 40 years before present day, with the Time Crystals not sending you back or forth to a specific time and date, but rather a set amount of time forward and back (in this case 40 years).

Anyways, this also lets us know that Storm-9 happened a little over 39 years ago as of the game's start, and at some point during the game's time span we will hit the 40 year anniversary. I always thought it was 50 years before the game's start, I don't remember if I got that from somewhere in game or it's just one of them things I got in my head, but between the wiki and a reply from Zumi on one of my tweets it's actually 40. If anyone has the same misconception I had, I hope that clears it up.

But through what we can gleam in game, we can actually tell (roughly) when Storm-9 happens! Judging by the fact we can still visit the past at the end of the .karma files, Storm-9 has not hit the past yet. It's going to happen very soon, but it's not there yet. Thankfully, we have a very concrete date on when that would be, December 25th, 2024, as the Xen Raid is just one day later. Meaning, that as of December 25th, 1984, the Aevium region is still fine. This combined with the fact that there is a note on the door of the house occupied by the A-Gang near Hyoshi City that says they'll be out until the Summer means that they are going to be at school until late May, early June, assuming it runs at similar time frames to a school in the U.S.. Meaning that, at some point, most likely in Early 1985, but possibly for about a week in Late 1984, is when Storm 9 hits. You could extrapolate more (i.e. no teachers/other students in the academy during the Interceptor's Nightmare Realm means people might've been on break, meaning it was Late 1984 and the gang was just hanging out at the academy) but as that's explicitly stated to be not entirely accurate to how that day actually was, I'm not going to do that.

Anyways, now that you've heard me ramble about dates like your history teacher, we get to the fun part! That being I get to tell you about the A gang! That being we know the protag choices are 17-18 years old, and given that we know Storm 9 happened in either very Late 1984 or Early 1985, we can assume that the A-Gang were those ages during Storm-9. Meaning their birth years could range between 1966-1968, placing them firmly in Gen X, meaning they are chronologically old enough to be some of the people reading this's parents!

But that's not all, do you remember how I stated that Rejuv took place in 202X, meaning it could be any year of the 2020s? And thus, the past segments take place in any year 40 years before that, in the 1980s? If we were to say, put the year Rejuv takes place in in 2020, then that would mean the A Gang would be born in the years 1962-1964.

The general consensus on baby boomers is that they were born between 1946-1964.

The A Gang could, conceivably, be baby boomers.

Changed Galaxia's design + new ref sheet

Galaxia is a Team Xen Admin who acts also as their spy and is charged with gathering intel and espionage. She's pretty calm, prideful and charming on the outside... But hides a cruel, wrathful and sadistic side towards her enemies/ people she hates; especially gets agitated when things don't go her way. Has the ability of super hearing and clairvoyance.

Originally a Garufa from the Old World Era who volunteered for the Archetype project before her untimely death due to horrible side effects. Her soul was put into a A.N.A clone and Variya sent her to the Storm Chasers to be an useful assent for them, this becoming an Interceptor. However she was left traumatized from her time as a test subject and death with a never-ending desire to remain the most powerful Interceptor; trying to sustain her corrupted Archetype and herself. As a result, Galaxia went insane and walked down the path of Renegade and written her own fate.

After fucking up the previous timeline, she was sealed away by Spacea and Tiempa but years later Team Xen found her crystal prison. Galaxia was soon freed from her prison but got turned into a 12 year old girl, her archetype reshaping her new again. Due to her enormous power and promising potential inside the girl, Team Xen offered Galaxia to work for them and thus she joined their ranks.

Imagine the "good" ending is just karma locking everyone in the same cycle after "finishing" the game.

Karma forcing player to reset over and over again. Because in its eye, things will never turn bad again if protagonist just...stop progressing.

You did great! You defeated the evil! Everyone no longer have to worry about team Xen and storm-9. But Melia would still gonna die. The future still hold many unknown threats. Yes, you're the interceptor, the OP player, but what if things turn bad? Let's just...stop. If you're bored. We can restart. That way, you'd already know how to deal with the bad guys. Forever in the state of happiness. You can redeem all the small "bad" choices you made. Melia wouldn't die because you're technically never reached the end.

Rejuv v13.5 teaser observations and theories! (Before public release)

First of all, I want to put out there I was not a Beta tester so I don't know how right or wrong I am about any observation made here. I could be overthinking things! But that's half the fun in theorizing!

Second of all, I implore every single one of my followers who happen to see this post but haven't played Rejuvenation: This huge post will contain HEAVY SPOILERS for v13!! I don't want to ruin your experience of the game so please try it out once 13.5 releases!!

Anyway time to word vomit an essay:

Prelude: Abbreviations and concepts to be used later on.

OA: Original Aevium. Before the reset (Revealed as of v13)

Part 1: Trailer themes and iconography.

Archetype symbol: The center of it all.

Core symbol/Interceptor: Appears at the end. The colors associated with the Core are Blue (Active) and Orange (Inactive)...which can be seen when the butterfly flies away at the midpoint. Something to keep in mind.

EDIT: The butterfly in question! Could be attributed to "Butterfly effect".

Karma (?): 1st image is the Karma indicator in game, 2nd and 3rd are trailer images with different details added and removed. 3rd one is speculation and could have different meaning.

Alright, now that I've established the most prevalent images that constantly come up in the trailer, I can start discussing the contents themselves and what the overall theme seems to be.

A big point in the trailer is the diagram depicting a pathway and connections, which all seem to be connected to an entity. The first 4 characters we saw are our core friend group: Ren, Aelita, Venam and Melia. There are 2 types of dots present in this first instance alone: A simple black dot, and a dot with extra layers. The simple ones are assigned to Aelita and Melia, while the other ones to Venam and Ren. Is this coincidental or is foreshadowing something??

I can only conclude, aided with the name of the update being .karma files, that the Main theme of this trailer is Karma and Connections. Are the consequences of our choices and actions going to finally unravel?

Part 2: Characters present, points in common.

The Theolia family (except Maria/Marianette)

Part 3: Missing faces and inconsistencies.

Ren's positioning in the trailer makes it so he is the only character in the trailer without a title on the upper right corner.

Mr. Luck. What does he have to do with all of this? All of them?

No team Xen admins...at all. Not even Madame X.

Gym leaders missing: Martin, Crawli, Valarie, Adam, Saki, Lavander, Texen, Flora/Florin, Spector, Narcissa, Souta, Ryland, Erick.

Damian and Alexandra.

Nymiera.

Elite 8 + champion missing (except Tesla).

No interceptor hosts or Ana.

Nim absent.

No signs of Nancy.

Garufa inc. is supposed to be defunct at this point in time, yet the interface we access to see all these files is from garufa inc...

Of course, the characters omitted could be simply because of space and the briefness of the teaser, but then the question would turn into: what do the characters that were included have all in common?

Part 4: Elephants in the room - Jenner, Melia and Corrupted File.

We got 3 hidden details as sneak peaks for 13.5! Seems to be 1 new character and 2 new looks for existing ones: those being Melia and Jenner who look....quite different.

Looking at all official art of Melia as of v13 (redesign of second iteration omitted but the hair is the same), it seems her new look could fit in after her 3rd iteration (going to the past arc, or the stormchasers arc, whatever we wish to call it) but before her awakening and current attire (4th pic) although the way the sidebang is positioned and her clothes are....off.

It doesn't quite feel like the Melia we know- the only time she has shown her shoulders has been in her 1st iteration, when we met her, afterwards her outfits are more conservative and white is the dominant color. This time, it's black.

Of course, this is a sneak peak of the outfit so we don't know anything else, but it's curious to see such a drastic change...also, it seems to be longer than her stormchasers fit, but shorter than her current version.

EDIT: This doesn't take in account the fact that Zumi's artstyle and way of drawing Melia's bangs may have evolved, but as an artist myself, I do find the choice veeeeeeeeery curious.

My friend Vance pointed out that she both looks a bit like Amber and that her expression resembles Melanie's VS battle sprite. Hm...

Also! @spar-kie has pointed out that Melia is wearing eye-shadow in this image! That's definitely out of character for her!

As for Jenner, a recent ask answered by Zumi threw into question the possibility of this being a Past!Jenner...so is this an alternate version of him, or a change in appearance after he was trapped in Nim's pocket dimension??

As for the mystery character...I can't say anything about them because the name tag is glitchy, has an error and there is no picture to give us and inkling of who they are. Regardless, they seem to be very important this version for it to be teased this early.

Part 5: Crack theories and conclusions

The trailer is from the perspective of the Interceptor accessing the information from Zeight as it was teased at the end of V13. Would fall in line with the way the characters are shown as Data and Files. They are also the center piece that connects all these characters together and fits the theme of Karma and Connections.

Related to above...but different. The information shown is from OA, not current Aevium, which is why the trailer is Glitchy and has a corrupted file...maybe a character that shouldn't exist persists in Zeight's data despite the reset? Would also explain why Melia and Jenner look different as they may have had different fates in the OA. (Observation made by my friend Vance!!)

These are all my current observations after analyzing the trailer like a normal person!! After one day!! There are things I haven't quite touched but I'll edit this post after I get home because there is a lot of things I want to improve and I need to let this thoughts into the world before I forget and this week passes by-

what are your rejuv OCs opinions on neved? i love that man

Hmmm. That's hard bc I don't feel that much about Neved myself? Not saying that he's a bad character or anything, in fact he's really interesting! I love his story with him and Maman, and adore his relationship with the other xen members. I just haven't really clicked with him, ya know? Maybe i'll feel more about him when I get to replaying rejuv again( and even that's a maybe bc of how long it is).

What I can say, however, is that Imani's thoughts on Neved are mostly tied to her relationship with Maman - in which she feels sympathy for the man. Or maybe it's pity. I'm not sure. But I do think in learning more about Maman, she comes to understand Neved just a bit more. It doesn't shake off the fact that 1) he tortured one of her friends/ crush for no reason other than the fact that she was Keta's daughter. Which. Is just vile, in her eyes. And 2) was threatening to harm a whole island + actively aiming to hurt her and her friends. And there's what happened to Nancy. So. Uh. She can feel sorry for the man but I am unsure if she actually likes him or not. I feel like her thoughts on him will evolve whenever I get to replaying rejuv, though. I think it could be complicated, given what her past life was like,and how Imani views parents.

Flynn was just terrified of the man lol. She was there in terajuma and was having the worst month of her life ( spoiler: it gets worse for her!). Other than that, doesn't have much opinions on the man. Hopes she doesn't run into him in the future.

Arrow: Fuckiiiiiiiiinnnnnng hates the guy. Doesn't know him, never really battled him I think, but just the mere fact he's part of Team Xen makes Arrow hate him. I feel like if Arrow knew Neved's story, the hatred would only grow.

But much like Imani, maybe their opinion of Neved will change with a replay. I do think Neved is an interesting character, I just haven't clicked with him personally like I have with Maman.

Will - similar boat to Flynn except he was an interceptor and got the brunt of it. Fears him. Hates him. Happily doesn't think about him in Paragon.

Okay so like I said before I am making toyhouse pages for all of (rebornverse) ocs and Miles & Mavis are currently done! I just need to make some more new art for them! Speaking of art everyone is getting some new character art/refs!

Everyone is getting a bit of a re-haul! Either design or lore wise, some are major some are minor. Planning on making 10 year in the future refs/art for all my reborn ocs, so look out for that!

For the the ones I'm really working on are Chad and Dearil! I'm also making a new Rejuv oc namd Felix and a new Reborn oc named Lukey Arengee! (some v13.5 spoilers!)

Okay so quick reminder:

Mention of child abuse, death

Chad and Dearil lived in Almia with a woman named Aasha, who was cruel and manipulative, after their parents died. They are not blood related, they didn't even meet until Aasha brought them in.

Aasha mainly cares for money and power, but hides in the shadow for the most parts. She is a thief (and implied murdered).

A while after Dearil turns 18 Chad leaves to Reborn to start a new life, but promises to come back for them and take them with him. Dearil visits Reborn after Chad defeats Lin (Main Game). When they found out Chad 'disappeared' they assumed their brother abandoned them and left back home. Aasha lashed out at them and attacked them. Unfortunately she killed them on accident, although she wasn't too sad about that.

When Chad came back he was heartbroken to find out Dearil 'died' and defeated Aasha in a battle who 'disappeared' right after.

Chad then lived out his life in Reborn.

After Dearil died Variya pulled them back and asked them to become the interceptor. Dearil agreed. His soul was filled with hatred and the need to get revenge, however they didn't know why as their memories where erased for the most part. (some of their memories come back, all of them at their final battle against their brother)

Dearil tried to defeat team Xen and went along with the others in hopes that the feelings they were feeling would be quenched, but soon found out it didn't help. He didn't really care about helping any of the people who saw them as their friend and Clear and Kieran took that opportunity to ask them to join them.

They told them that if he helped them bring the world to oblivion the person that he hated so much would perish too, they agreed.

At some point Dearil is facing off against Chad, who was tipped off that his brother was alive and figured out what they were up too.

Chad defeated them and mortally wounded them and all the hatred Dearil felt went away. Chad said he would reset time using Dialga and fix all this, Dearil entered the Zeight (remotely) and tried to fix some things there so Chad wouldn't remember and Dearil would be able to fix their own mess as they started to feel regret.

Karma intervened and they struck a deal, no one (but Karma) retained their memories although they were saved in the zeight. Dearil then goes through the paragon run.

Chad stuff:

-He plays instruments, preferably windinstruments (harmonica and flute), but he also plays acoustic guitar and bass.

-He was very sheltered from the world by Aasha, although he knew he was trans he didn't know there was hormone treatment or surgeries he could take. Aasha did steal some T-shots from hospitals to give it to Chad, but he was under the impression she made it for him.

He also does not have had any surgeries, after learning that stuff like top surgery and bottom surgery exist he still decides not to take any as he is comfortable enough with his body as is.

-During the events of rejuv he has two babies (twins.) One named Riley, nickname Riri (Nickname is similar to Kiki) and one named Dearil II (named after his 'deceased' sibling.)

-He still specializes in ghost/dragon type, but half his team is sand based to mirror Solaris.

Dearil stuff:

-Before the interceptor stuff he used to try out different instruments to try and play music with their brother, although they gave up quickly on most of it. He did sing though which was one of the few things they enjoyed doing. He picks this back up late act 2 (karma files).

-Renegade Dearil does like and care for Mosely and Amber... To an extant. They're nice to those two, but if they get in their way... Well...

-Paragon Dearil's memories of his renegade path are hidden away, but still very much present. During act one most of it is them seeming to get a feeling of 'deja vu' which are actually just memories. During the quest where you meet Talon, Florin and Flora he gets 'weird visions and nightmares' (memories) of rift Talon and Florin how he acted during renegade if you choose the road to kill him.

During act two their memories seem to leak into reality. During act one renegade Dearil and Paragon Dearil make most of the same major choices (defeat madame X, don't give Cera the Magma Stone and save Amber), until act 2 starts and paragon Dearil after voices in their head tries to steer him from the path of oblivion (his past renegade self and the things Chad said during their last meeting in renegade)

His renegade self coming forth and taking over his current personality (this never last long). Others also get some weird feelings of deja vu and an uneasy feeling around Dearil during certain parts.

During the parts in Darclight time starts to distort around Dearil (and Florin and Erin who are with him at the time). An anomaly (renegade Dearil) appears after memories with Chad were once again unlocked. P!Dearil is unconscious during this and Florin and Erin are forced to fight the anomaly (Dearil's pokemon helping out trying to protect their trainer).

Stuff like this happens a few times.

Eventually when Adrest unlocks their intereptor form the memories get released as well, but they take form as r!Dearil. The two fight and Adrest gives the option to lock the memories away again.

Both Dearils and Aero talk for a bit and decide that they shouldn't hide from the past. Adrest and Nancy warn that everyone will remember what they did.

They won't remember everything at once, and not everyone will remember things as fast as the others, but they'll remember.

They go for it anyway and the paragon Karma Files play out as normal for the most part there.

Well there is a scene after they return from the zeight and they and Melia go through the ruined timeline stuff as, well, the others remembered. They all decide to trust Dearil in the end.

-R!Dearil specializes in Dark/Ghost, to represent evil and death.

P!Dearil specializes in Normal/Ghost, Normal to contrast with the fact nothing in any of their lives was normal to begin with.

Complete!Dearil specializes in Normal/Fire, Normal because they just want to put their past behind them and be a regular person. Fire as their life has started a new, a new flame if you will.

-All of P!Dearil's old ghosts were gifted to some of his friends.

Felix!!!

Felix's host is Ariana. He does not specialize in a type, but his pokemon are friendship themed! He uses pokemon that evolve via friendship and uses pokemon that are the aces of his loved ones. His starter is Torchic to represent his host!

Overall pokemon rejuvenation v13.5 is a massive upgrade that makes the whole game more fun across the board. The Terajuma Arc is the one with the most drastic improvements, yet there are some smaller details that I wish were preserved from the old version.

In v13 a lot of attention was given to the fact that Melia felt guilty because she thought she was dragging everyone into her mess. Team Xen mainly wanted her, the others were only being hunted by association. In the old version Angie read out Melia’s 'cold truth' from her magic book and said how Melia might be kind and a leader, but she's actually really selfish for exactly what Melia was thinking about herself. In v13.5 we instead got Angie reading about Crawli's insecurities and Melia interrupts before we learn anything about her. Honestly I think Angie was a bit scarier in old versions, even if fighting her feels overall more dramatic in v13.5

In v13 Melia has a dream sequence where she metaphorically argues with her different conceptions of herself. So it basically was Melia arguing with Emma. Emma said "Oh look I'm the version of you that's meant to be a great leader who saves everyone! I'll even make the interceptor's mother a martyr while I'm at it! Boy that facade didn't last."

So basically after this Melia actually runs off to mount valour by herself. She gets near the top and barely defeats Eli and Sharon before feeling too scared to continue. From there Venam and the interceptor catch up with her and Melia explains how she's been feeling. To v13.5 players, this moment might sound familiar. This final moment where they regroup before fighting team xen still happens, but I feel like some of the context is missing.

There's also a couple cute Venam × Melia moments from v13 that aren't in v13.5 like when venam first discovers that Melia was alive after all and they hug each other for a really long time while the player just sort of stands there watching. It's a tender moment in v13 but in v13.5 they make it a really fucking funny moment. Not exactly a downgrade. But in Angie's tower Melia stayed unconscious for longer and we got to look at a sprite of Venam bridal carrying Melia while we tried to escape Angie.

It's really just the small stuff I'm missing. I notice that the common thread here is that these are Melia moments. I think that the reason is partly because Jan got a lot of hate from people who thought Melia was a Mary Sue in older versions, or that she was taking up attention as the main character when that should've been the player. Honestly I think those people are babies, Melia is awesome.

Some spoilers for Rejuvenation v13ahead!!

-

-For a baseline, Cherryblossomshipping (Aevia/Ariana) is/was canon to AF Aevia! Obviously uh, Ariana is a little bit stoned and dead so.... Yeah.

-importantly, unlike the normal MC, Aevia technically has 100% of her power as an Interceptor but... Doesn't realize that, nor knows how to use it. Her power manifests passively and can sometimes get out of control if Aevia herself loses her composure.

-the memory altering was mostly brief enough stuff to make sure Aevia functioned and didn't freak out over her role (and importantly making sure she forgot her "deal" with Variya and the knowledge of being an Interceptor and what that entails). But due to the nature of these memory alterations, they didn't last very long...

-shes also loses any memory of her friends souls being connected with hers. She doesn't find out she has all her friends within until the Puppet Master reveals it to her in her nightmare door.

-her passive powers manifest related to Aevia's emotions and namely being related to her Interceptor trait of Tranquility. If she's calm, she seems to have an aura that calms most people, but it can have an opposite effect if she starts panicking/otherwise loses her composure. Certain individuals due to their nature are immune to this aura whether its positive or negative, namely the Theolias and Aelita/Vivian/Taelia, but there's some others.

-speaking of her emotions. With all the circumstances surrounding her situation, especially compared to a normal MC, her mental fortitude is that of a kicked Fidough. Prone to getting distressed and upset much easier then she would be otherwise.

-shes does theoretically have more active powers besides her magical girl mode, I haven't fleshed these out yet...

-unlike canon Aevia she very much, even if it takes a while, gains a rather fervent desire to live. She loves the connections she's built with Rejuv's main cast even if the grief for her old friends is very severe...

-to say her relationship with Crescent is strained is an understatement

-Aevia, while she primarily uses and has Aevian forms, does have some normal pokemon. Namely her starter, her Samurott. And a Pikachu. (There's more but I'm not fully 100% planning out her team until 13.5 comes out...)

-shes loves her Paras Shroomy so so very much!! It's managed to become one of her favorite pokemon and friends. She never obtained Xen Waste tho so it forever will stay a Paras.

-also has an Aevian Snorunt that is mostly a friend and likes being held! It also likes being squished like a stress ball.

-i don't have a specific Headcanon for what her type is but regardless she is sapphic to me. Sorry.

Stella “Fate” Aquila (she/her - 16 years old): Interceptor of Forgiveness and the Paragon of Fairytaleverse. Her host is Alain. She’s a fae from a whole another world. She got caught in a dimension portal and was saved by Variya if she agreed to become an interceptor. She had little clue about pokemon when she first arrived but quickly grew. Unknown to her, she’s meant to stop the damages done and left over renegade data by Lucifer after he reset the world. She suffers from visions of renegade but uses these to help her. She can speak to fairy type pokemon.

Lucifer Nash (he/him - 12 years old): Interceptor of Absolution and Renegade of the Fairytaleverse. His host is Axel. Coming from Aryith and a decesendent of ancient dragon tamers, he was killed by a Sawsbuck when running away from home and picked up as soul by Variya. He is very knowledgeable in dragon type pokemon and runs a dragon sandstorm team. Eventually comes to regret his actions in renegade. Creating Angel, a virus in Zeight, he resets the world and deletes himself. Despite it having not shown up in generations he has the ability to speak to dragon types like his old ancestors could.

Hero Farrell (they/them - 18-19 years old): Interceptor of Acceptance (paragon) OR Denial (renegade). Their host is Aevis. Hero is an old Gurafan Volunteer and in fact, they were seen as the person who could’ve saved them all. The Archetype gave them the power of ‘debug’ they can do anything you can with debug, provided they have the energy. This didn’t come without consequences as they became HOH and much much physically weaker. Their power was also unstable. They were to be put into a simulation so they could safely explore their powers. However, Variya saw they were being trained to become a mass weapon. So she tampered with Hero’s pod, leading them to get shocked to death. Later, Variya would use Hero’s soul to replace Aevis. Unfortunately, Hero has no memories of their death and believes Aevium to be the simulation. Not apart of Fairytaleverse unlike everyone else. They vibe alone.

Altair “Calamity” Aquila (he/him - 32-33 years old): Fate’s older brother and also a fae from the same world. He came to Aevium purposefully in order to look for Fate once he learned what happened to her. He typically uses his illusion magic to hide his fae features from the public. He ran into Clear and Kieran who promised to help him find and save Fate as long as he helped them. Unfortunately he was played and as of the end of karma files he’s been captured alongside Mosely and Reigna. His wings were torn off too, in order to stop him from being able to fight off his former companions. He doesn’t appear in Renegade of the Fairytaleverse. Also, like Fate, he can speak to fairy type pokemon.

Sylvester (he/she - unknown age, appears to be in his 30s): A servant of Nymeria and Vitus, created a bit after Kanon. Sylvester was found with Hazuki after the battle under Hiyoshi. However, he had no memories of the events and evacuated Storm 9 with Hazuki and Thomas Sr. Sylvester stayed with Hazuki afterwards, becoming a personal butler to the Blakeory’s. First met in Blacksteeple castle, having also been a victim of Xen’s kidnapping. Though, she’s also apart of the early appearance scene with Hazuki and Lavender. She’s has a Gardevior in Fairytaleverse’s renegade but in Paragon it becomes a Iron Valiant.

Rosemary Marsh (they/them - 28 years): Rosemary is the leader of Darchlight Village. They were born in Alamissa Urben and was apart of the friend group with Damien, Alex, Adam, Ryland, Karen and Aurora. However they moved at 13. Their parents are actually the couple who took in Crescent. So they have some history with her, which in turn had gotten them interested in the group upon learning she attacked them from Sylvester. They become the Grass Reserve leader after Flora’s arrest too. They also become the Gym Leader in Fairytaleverse Renegade. Given their role and their relationships with other characters they’re the most aware that something is wrong….In renegade they have a Amonguss and in paragon they have a Brute Bonnet.

Aurora Vale (she/her - 28 years old): Aurora is a high ranking Deathwing of Xen with a big love for bird pokemon. She is often put into leadership roles, such as leading the Akuwa abduction. She also often takes it upon herself to help struggling members like Shanon and Eli. Nastasia asked for her help during chapter 14 as well. Which ended awkwardly….as Aurora is childhood friends with the Sashila gang….In renegade she has a Delibird but in paragon she has an Iron Bundle.

Angel (its/it - appearance of a 13 year old): Angel is the virus that was created by Lucifer that infects Zeight. It holds all the data of renegade and is protecting it until it’s time. Angel has a secret rift form for when it is attacked. It’s very existence is the major reason for there being so many inconsistencies within Fairytaleverse. It cannot leave Zeight usually, though it can speak to Fate from it and give her visions. In rare cases it can appear when things get especially fucky within the timeline. It’s goal is to guide Fate onto paragon and keep it like that. Angel doesn’t appear in renegade and in paragon Angel replaces Nancy as the administrator.

so let's give a quick overview of all of them! let's start with the classic

Hephae Canestus! She's a mechanic at Xen with unhealthy loyalty issues. She likes to stare at people a lot, and she's got a fairly thick southern accent. She comes from Unova and got her love for automechanics from her father.

King Caliburn! He's a grunt in Bladestar who has a hyperfixation on crustaceans. His entire team is crustacean Pokemon, and he aspires to become a veterinarian for aquatic Pokemon- but he also can't stand the way GDC is run, so he's going to help put a stop to that first.

Lusca! King's best friend and boss. A Bladestar Admin who uses mollusk Pokemon, they were the reason King got into Bladestar in the first place. He's also studying to become a veterinarian.

Queen Caliburn! King's sister. A teacher at Axis High, she has no clue what's happened to her brother. She knows he's in Bladestar, but him telling her that went worse than poorly, so now they're out of contact- after the events at the ball, she's worried he died.

Eleanor! She's a "Destroyer of Aevium" - aka the people under Vitus who use wield eleki and drago. She's the owner of Regidrago! She's a very violent and angry person, having been raised to be an aggressive weapon by Vitus since she was a baby. She has a crush on Hazuki which unfortunately leads to her death in the Sanctuary.

Raiden! The other "Destroyer of Aevium", he wields Regieleki. He's the strong, silent type, and usually lets Eleanor speak for him. He's also Eleanor's impulse control- otherwise, these two would just be getting into constant fights. He can and will beat the shit out of you, though. He manages to live into the modern day, but he's no longer a Destroyer. He's busy traveling.

Nathaniel Goode! Not much to go over with him; he's basically Zeight's antivirus system while also being a virus himself. He also coincidentally looks like a Garufan programmer also named Nathan Goode. Why he does is unknown because trying to communicate with him is impossible ( he's too busy fixing the rendering engine )

Gale Suite! She's a part of a family of travelers that extend over the rebornverse for the fun of it- she lives in Aevium and helps one of her family members hunt down Zygarde Cells. We'll only go over one of the other Suites to keep things as brief as humanly possible...

Kim Suite! She's the eldest of the Suites and the scariest. She's got a perpetual smile and a shade always over her face- this is hiding the fact she's actually a 25% Zygarde. She's the one who gathers Cells- mostly Just In Case Something Happens. She tends to go between Reborn and Aevium.

Apho! Xen Mage who has a grudge against Hephae, for some reason. Regardless they're a very quiet person who also happens to be one of the creepiest people ever, constantly muttering about doing very violent things to people they don't like.

Ray and Yra! ( Yra's the one with the hat. ) Interceptor OCs based on the concept of making one different decision. Ray's paragon while Yra's renegade-- the turning point is the aftermath of Mt. Valor, where Yra decides to close herself off from everyone while Ray decides to help everyone get through it. Both are heavily committed to the Bit and tend to fail upwards in most battles.

aaand i think that's it! there might be a few i'm missing but theyyy probably dont have enough characterization for me to discuss or put here. sorry for the too long i aint reading all that post lmao
