JSE Theory: Convergence of the Egos (and other thoughts)

(I apologize if this is a little discombobulated and rambly as it is my first actual Ego theory that I’ve done in months. I do try to put in references to my evidence and thoughts, so bare with me and be gentle.)

Anti’s whole discussion at us is constantly talking about circles, going over and over. “How many times must we go through this?” “Again and again, over and over.” “F***ing circles!”

Also with “time is broken” and with the game Observation (played back during the month of May-hem 2019) basically being about timeline/universe convergence or really a convergence of any sort. As well as the events that happened on the JSE Discord server (more on this later), it indicated that something is happening. We know the egos know about each other. But a convergence of some sort isn’t out of the question. In Observation two separate timelines met, but we saw that even more meetings could have happened.

But what does this mean? What does a game about converging timelines, universes and stories mean for us?

It’s been theorized that Marvin is bringing everyone together with his magic. It’s been theorized recently that Henrik’s PhD is in computer science and/or theoretical physics (if we follow Avengers logic, it’s possible to have more than one). It’s been told/theorized that JJ is our actual time traveller (remember the JJ Powerhour/pumpkin carving video? “When am I? Oh jeepers -  it’s much too early!”)  knowing that he’s from the 1920s and 1930s silent film era. We’ve been told that Chase is our protagonist and that Jackie is our hero (referring back to Jack’s Ego Art Week posts). What could this mean and what is going on?

During Henrik’s clip from Oct. 19th, we see him looking at two computer screens. One of them holds the date March 25th, 2017 (as pointed out by a community member: one video on this date was a Google Feud during which was asked about killing a virus). But why would this be important? It’s also recently been noticed that the day before (March 24th, 2017) on Instagram, Seán posted a picture of himself sitting by a river wearing the original Chase hat staring at something (a phone?) - two and a half weeks before we got the Chase Brody Power Hour video (April 11th, 2017).

Why? What is going on and how important is this?

Well, again, Chase is our protagonist. Knowing that we had a reveal before we actually knew who he was does put an interesting spin on the story telling, moving Chase’s first actual appearance to earlier than we thought. Especially since it seems like Henrik was focusing on the next day, something was important here (was it the Google Feud video or something else?).

Adding Instagram into the fray, this means other appearance dates are also moved up - not as significantly as Chase’s, but still by a day or two (Jackie to July 9th, 2016, Henrik to September 14th, 2016, and JJ to October 29th, 2017). But, yeah yeah, you know the drill… Time is broken. It shouldn’t really matter…

Right?

Hm.. Seems to be a bit of a pattern still. Time being broken… Quantum time travel… A time traveling person from the past… A magic man who probably has a time spell of some sort...

While we’re at it, why not get all of these people affected by time together when most, if not all, of them are at their lowest - when they have nothing else to lose. Move them from their lowest times and gather them to fight their common antagonist, their “virus” - the cause of their fears becoming reality. Have everyone come together - converge - to fight their enemy.

Seán has pretty much confirmed at this point that what is going on right now with the egos is they are being brought together - almost Avengers style. We don’t know who is doing it - it could be Marvin or it could be Anti (an almost glitch-like “whoosh” noise was heard at the end of both Chase and Henrik’s videos). It may even be both, considering that we heard the sound effect after Henrik’s computer glitched as he was working on what has been believed to be a “time travel formula” (it was noticed he was dividing by infinity which is usually involved in quantum time travel). We also heard the effect as Chase was transported from the forest park to parking garage, missing a few items (perhaps the “glitching” part of it caused the phone and whiskey to vanish?).

Henrik is frantic - he seems to be running out of time. He’s trying to solve a problem, doing everything he can to figure it out. When was the last time he was this frantic? Kill Jacksepticeye| Bio Inc. back on August 3rd, 2017. He was trying to save Jack and it’s commonly believed that this was when Jack went into a coma - due to Anti - before Henrik disappeared for nine months and leaving the other egos (namely Chase, which is also during the time we start seeing more of Seán) to do the recordings.

What if, contrary to what we’ve been led to believe, the good doctor wasn’t on vacation? What if he was trying to figure out a way to… change the past, let’s say? What if he was figuring out a way to quantum time travel so that way he could prevent Jack’s coma from ever happening due to a certain “virus”? Of course we know, thanks to the glitching on the screen that Anti caught on and is probably wanting to make sure Henrik only succeeds when he wants him to (remember the “test failure” glitching in Henrik’s post when Anti was messing with the Ego Art Week posts?).

And of course Marvin, picking up on this and watching everyone, wanted to get him to safety? Wanted to get ALL the egos to safety. We’ve seen Anti in the car with Chase (looking at us because he wants us to feel powerless). We saw the glitching in the screen when Henrik was looking for the answers he needed.

Marvin knows they’re in danger and he probably pulled them away from what could hurt them - keeping certain items (i.e. a phone with internet capabilities, perhaps?) away from teleporting with them. Keep them away from the glitch and perhaps a solution can be found.

Oh… And one other thing.

Going back to the point about the JSE Discord server. (screenshots below, thank you to my friend @septicuniverse​ for grabbing them before the chat vanished - let alone still having them months later)

There was a theory going around. The “X No Evil” theory - I was one of the ones who posted on this. It was believed that Marvin was “hear no evil.”

Well… It’s hard to hear through a crystal ball. You can usually only see, not hear.

That being said, Marvin also said “This doesnt seem right.” Perhaps they were meeting in the wrong place at the wrong time. Especially with all of us watching. (which was the chat channel’s zalgoed name in caesar cipher offset 6 - and, good one since there are were 6 people in that room and there are 6 egos technically 7 but that’s been talked about before)

Among the community that knows about this event, it is known/believed that Marvin and Jackie were the ones that knew something was wrong. They knew we were watching (as I mentioned in my thoughts about Anti’s “gloating,” all of the egos know about us). They didn’t want to reveal anything to us, Jackie even going as far as to try and tell all of them to shut up. Things had gone wrong and if Chase’s reactions were anything to say, they had started off at one time frame and jumped to another.

Chase “couldn’t see.” Not to mention he had asked “what do you want from me?” to no one in particular. This hearkens back to the Dark Silence video (May 14th, 2018). The children laughing, haunting Chase… He was in a dark hallway with only a lighter to his name. He couldn’t see until he saw the red-lit doorway with Anti standing in the frame. “Where are they?” “What do you want from me?” There is also the connection to the third video from Stories Untold (May 7th, 2018), where at the end of the video, during a black screen, Chase is asking for Jack to “wake up.” That was the last words before the chat disappeared: “You need to wake up!”

Henrik, at the same time, seems to notice something went wrong with Chase. Perhaps some of his calculations went wrong for the time/quantum jump? It’s hard to tell. He’s trying to keep in touch with Chase, keeping the father grounded as the other seems to be freaking out jumping from timeline to timeline. At the same time he’s finding something about to happen right before the communications close, hence the “No, no!” But we don’t know what he saw, or what was about to happen.

There’s so much more that can go into this theory than I can put together in one mind set. Especially things about Chase seeming to go backwards in time. I do know one thing though:

Time is broken, but it’s time to fix things. It’s time to converge in one time, in one universe, to fight back and set things right.

You woke up in Sweet Pea’s bed, him missing from his side like always. Whenever you two hooked up and you fell asleep at his, you’d always wake up to find him gone. It was routine. You got up, threw your clothes on from the night before and left without a trace as you usually do. You went to Toni’s instead of going home because hers was closer. Borrowing some of her clothes the two of you decided to head to the Wyrm to hang out for a bit, not really knowing what else to do for the day.

When you walked in everyone but Sweet Pea greeted you. He gave you a look and continued playing pool with one of the older Serpents not bothering to acknowledge you further.

“Wow what’s going on there?” You and Toni sat at the bar watching the boys play pool.

“We hooked up again last night,” you admitted, “this is his usual behavior. He’s an asshole to me afterwards but always comes crawling back for more when he wants to get his dick wet.” Toni laughed at your statement.

“That doesn’t bother you? Him using you as his personal sex toy?”

“Not really, because i use him just as much. We both get something out of it.” you shrugged your shoulders taking a drink from the glass Hogeye sat in front of you and continued talking with Toni occasionally laughing at the boys argue over pool.

Weeks past and Sweet Pea hasn’t even sent you so much as a text, which was weird for him. The most he’s gone with the whole asshole game was a day or two. You brushed it off, not letting it get to you.

You sat in the lounge with Toni and Fangs watching Fangs do some crazy card trick when you suddenly felt uneasy. You put your hand over your stomach, “you okay, y/n?” Toni asked putting a hand on your shoulder.

 You shook your head, “i think i’m going to be sick.” you covered your mouth and ran to the girl’s restroom as fast as you could, bumping shoulders with Sweet Pea on the way. Toni got up and ran after you to make sure you were okay.

When you reached the restroom you slammed one of the stall doors open just in time to throw your guts up in the toilet.

“Dude, are you okay?” Toni crouched down beside you moving your hair out of your face and rubbing your back.

“I felt fine and then suddenly my stomach decided to reject everything i ate this morning. God that reeks.” you made a face of pure disgust as you flushed the toilet.

This continued everyday. You felt amazing and then the urge to vomit hit you like a tidal wave. Toni and Fangs became concerned and Fangs asked her the dreaded question, “Do you think she’s pregnant?” Toni’s eyes got wide when the realization hit her. She stood up quickly and grabbed her bag rushing into the hallway to find you.

“y/n, i’m going to ask a question and you’re going to be completely honest,” she said when she found you at your locker. You gave her a look to continue, “is there any chance that you could be pregnant?”

“No that’s ridicu-” you stopped your sentence short remembering about a month ago when Sweet Pea didn’t have any condoms and you relied on him to pull out.

“Oh my god,” you whispered meeting Toni’s concerned gaze. You grabbed her hand and tugged her behind you and out of the school. You had to go to the store now to get a pregnancy test, “what about Sweet Pea?” Toni said from the driver seat of her truck.

“Fuck Sweet Pea right now. He’s been ignoring me for weeks. I’m not telling him anything and neither are you until we find out for sure,” you warned.

You were pacing your bedroom waiting for the timer to go off so you could check the four tests you’ve taken. Toni was nervous enough for the both of you, but you were more worried about what was going to happen when you told Sweet Pea. Was he going to continue to be an ass? Knowing Sweet Pea, probably. You jumped when you heard the timer on your phone buzz on your desk. You looked at Toni with fear in your eyes, “You check it. I can’t look at it.”

“Fine.” Toni stood up and walked into your bathroom checking the four tests that laid on the counter, “Ummm, y/n. We have a problem.” she said walking out holding the four positive tests. You immediately started crying. You were only 17 for christ sake. How were you supposed to take care of a baby. Then the fear of doing it alone crept into your mind. What if Sweet Pea doesn’t want to be there for either of you? All of these thoughts flashed through your mind at once making you cry harder.

The next day you skipped school, texting Sweet Pea to come over later because you needed to talk. You were watching a movie in your living room when someone pounded on your front door. Knowing it was Sweet Pea you took a deep breath before getting up and letting him in.

“Make this quick, y/n. There’s a Serpent meeting that i have to get to.” He plopped down on the chair waiting for you to speak. You couldn’t bring yourself to say actual words so you just grabbed one of the tests you took yesterday and handed it to him.

“What the hell is this?” He eyed the test in his hand, noticing the plus sign indicating that your were in fact pregnant, “and what does this have to with me?” He tossed the test onto the coffee table in front of him while you stared at him in disbelief.

“What do you mean, what does this have to do with you? This has everything to do with you,” You exclaimed.

“That kid is not mine, y/n. You’re pretty easy, maybe it’s one of the other dudes who’s beds you’ve slithered into.” He stood up from the chair making his way towards the door.

“There are no other guys, you ass. You were the last person i slept with, Sweet Pea. This baby is yours.” You were pissed. He turned around to look at you, “I’ll believe it when i see it.” With that he walked out of your house, slamming the door behind him making you yell in frustration and anger.

Two months past. You weren’t showing much and the doctor told you that was normal. The only time you could definitely tell you were pregnant was when you wore an extremely tight shirt so you avoided those to keep the secret a bit longer before you couldn’t anymore. You had talked with your parents, both being slightly disappointed but supportive nonetheless and decided you were going to keep the baby. Not being able to let go of something that was apart of you. You met a new guy named Jake. He was a total sweetheart and didn’t change his ways when you admitted to being pregnant with someone else’s baby. He told you that whoevers baby it was must be a total dick if they let not only the baby go, but someone as amazing as you. He said he’d help you as much as he could, and he has. He went to every doctor’s appointment, got up when you called in the middle of the night because you wanted ice cream and brought it to you. He was perfect.

Whenever Sweet Pea saw you with Jake his fists clenched in anger and his signature scowl came across his face. He watched as Jake put his hand on your stomach and kissed your forehead making Sweet Pea growl in anger.

“Dude, what’s gotten into you?” Jughead looked at Sweet Pea confused at his sudden burst of anger.

“Nothing,” Sweet Pea mumbled. Jughead followed his gaze to you and Jake leaning against the lockers whatever Jake said making you giggle uncontrollably.

“Ah i see. Careful, Sweet Pea. Your bitterness is showing.”

“I’m not bitter, Jones,” Sweet Pea snarled causing Jughead to hum not believing a word.

“You two were never a thing, why are you so mad she’s with someone else?” Jughead asked trying to understand.

“Yeah, why are you so jealous of Jake? As far as i know you and y/n never spoke.” Veronica asked just a curious.

“Mind your own fucking business.” Sweet Pea stood up throwing the cards he held in his hand onto the table and stormed out of the lounge leaving everyone confused and a little startled.

You were laying in the hospital bed, you new born baby boy laying on your chest. A head full of black hair and the same scowl Sweet Pea had made his signature look. There was no denying this baby was his, but that didn’t stop Jake from stepping in and providing. He cared about you and the baby, even though the baby wasn’t his. You had asked that no one come to the hospital, wanting to make sure everything was perfect with your baby before having him meet everyone. You had arranged a day to have everyone meet at Betty’s house to meet and hang out with the baby. You were also going to reveal the name to everyone. No one knew except for Jake and he was actually the one who suggested it.

The next day, you and the baby were discharged. You headed to your house first to change clothes and at least try to look decent knowing a lot of pictures were going to be taken. Jake let you go alone, knowing you were going to have some explaining to do saying he’d be over tonight bringing dinner for you and him.

When you arrived at Betty’s everyone was already there, waiting impatiently for you and the baby to arrive. You pulled out the pumpkin seat you had the baby strapped in and walked to the door ringing the doorbell. You heard squeals from the girls and lots of feet running towards the door.

“Geez, ladies. At least let her inside before you attack.” Jughead laughed at the girls who excitedly stood in the door all pulling you in for a hug. You had a blanket covering the top of the seat, one because it was cold out and two because you wanted to do a cheesy reveal of your beautiful baby.

The girls moved out of the way and allowed you to walk inside. You sat the carrier on the coffee table in Betty’s living room while they all tried to fit on the small couch to see.

You reached for the blanket pausing to look at everyone for dramatic effect, “Alright, everyone meet my baby.” You pulled the blanket away revealing your baby asleep in his carrier. Everyone cooed at how cute he was, Fangs grabbing your arm and pulling you to the side, “Sweet Pea’s not coming.”

“I figured. But that’s his choice.” You shrugged your shoulders.

“Wait, y/n he looks nothing like Jake.” Archie said.

“That’s because he’s not mine.” You all turned to see Jake standing in the foyer with Sweet Pea behind him staring at your baby with watery eyes, “He’s mine.” Sweet Pea moved past Jake walking over towards the sleeping baby. You walked over to Jake looking at him quizzically, “what are you doing?”

“I knew that the second Sweet Pea saw that baby, he’d man up. I care about you, y/n. I really do, but that’s his kid. Not mine. I wanted to at least give him the chance to be a dad before i ever thought about taking his place. And by the looks of it, my assumptions were right.” He pointed over to Sweet Pea who still stood just staring at the tiny human.

“Go be a happy family. If things don’t work out, i’ll be here but i can’t live with myself if i break up a family that never really got the chance to be one in the first place.” Jake kissed your cheek before walking out of Betty’s house and leaving you guys alone. You walked over to Sweet Pea and placed a hand on his back.

“You can hold him if you want,” you whispered.

“Can i?” You gave him a nod moving to unlatch the safety harness and gently pulling the baby out of the carrier. You turned around and handed him off to Sweet Pea making sure he knew to support his head. Everyone watched in silence at the encounter you three were having, not wanting to ruin the moment.

“What’s his name?” Sweet Pea whispered moving his gaze from the baby to you. You gave him a small smile, “Jordan.” Sweet Pea grinned realizing you named the baby after him and moved one of his hands to cup the back of your neck pulling you to him to kiss you, “I’m never letting you two out my sight. You’re stuck with me now.”

“Took you long enough.” you whispered kissing him again. Everyone of your friends watched as the story played out to be a happy ending. Toni and Fangs sharing a look as they knew it would all work out in the end.
