          Jaw shifts as he takes a deep breath. He HATES her having to see him like this. He knows she has her own burdens to bear, her own past that haunts her. But he knows she agreed to have all of him, not just the good parts. Just as he has her ( though he SWEARS there is no bad in her ). He is not ashamed of the life he leads, he does not regret the things he has had to do to stay on top in this world. But it still eats away at his mind, much the TRAUMA he has endured, those he couldn’t save when he was overseas, those he couldn’t even save here, the ones who HYDRA stole away from him. So instead of pushing her away he wraps his arms around her where they lie, his face resting against her chest as he focuses on the sound of her steady heart beat. “ I know. ” he whispers.

Favourite thing about your muse: Her laugh.
