All kinds of people came to this city; friends, enemies, families and sometimes...all of them in one. This was the peculiar case of having to meet the woman responsible for their daughter. No, no-- that came off severely wrong. The child respectively belonged to her, and not her. Yet, no matter how much she tried to be delusional over the fact that this woman had some sort of redemption inside of her, she couldn’t shake off the feeling of cold betrayal emitting from her presence.
At first, she was stunned that she was here just like any other family member in which she came across. It had only taken a few minutes before her stomach churned at the sight of the woman, even before they initiated talking.
Even if they had gone past the stage of understanding and empathizing, did she truly mean what she had said before? Or was it to impress the man of her dreams instead of disappointing him again?
These were all the thoughts that began to stir in her head, and the thought of Ange having to confront her had made it more complicated.
The look of astonishment faded away into what looked like a small frown, before she asked in a sorrowful manner.
“She’s here, have you met her?”
