My "controversial" take is that I don't think loml is mixed muse. I think it is pretty firmly about one person (the rat).

BUT! - I think it is a song, that much like many others on TTPD (and her discography as a whole) can be APPLIED to multiple muses. But Daddy I Love Him I would argue is more blatant in its inspiration, but it also describes a very general experience - disregarding others disapproval over your choice in partner, in Taylor's case, while in the public eye. I think that’s part of what fuels theories about the end of the song describing her relationship with Travis because you could just as easily apply it to any of her relationships.

The Bolter is also one I find interesting, because a romantic muse just feels so irrelevant. We know Taylor is writing it and we know it's seemingly from her perspective, though perhaps influenced by similar figures throughout history. The descriptions given of romantic interests are simultaneously so vague and so hyperspecific - detailed enough it can easily fit most of her public relationships, not detailed enough you can effectively pin it on one particular person.

Ranni banishes the Outer Gods and also fucks off the Lands, giving agency back to the normal beings of the Lands

Fortissax endlessly fights Death for his friend/lover

Melina burns herself and Erdtree in hopes of a better world in the hands of the Tarnished

Ranni and Rykard always keep an eye on their mother, protecting her

Radahn evokes so much love from his troops that they organise a whole festival to give him a honorable death even in his madness

Radahn learns an entire new school of magic in order to still ride his favourite horse

How all but two endings are build on the hope that this new era (whatever it might be) will be good

Miquella attempting to create an whole new world-tree to host the forsaken and the damned

Miquella turning on the faith he was raised and even believed in to an extent, when it was unable to cure his sister's curse

The Cleanrot's loyalty to Malenia and their endurance of the Rot, only to stay in her service

Malenia marching through the entire continent in search of her brother

Finlay traveling all the way back on her own, carrying the incapacitated demigod on her back

Tanith's love for Rya

Dialos' entire questline

Edgar being driven mad after his daughter dies

Vyke embracing, to a point, the Frenzied Flame in order to save his finger maiden

or you know, that's just how I see it

#elden ring #i'm simplifying a lot in this #but that's the story #to me #it follows the pattern of the ds series too #where the world was miserable and depressing #yet the main theme was hope and perseverance #with elden ring we got so many more characters and as such love began playing a bigger part too #and you can't really have interesting characters without their actions being driven by love and hope #or lack thereof #even power-hungry characters are driven by the hope of reaching the power “level” they want #and hateful ones are driven by lack of love #or so i think

Third chunk of the [Weretober] prompts where Tim keeps flying and diving. Like he's straight up going to get the bends with how much he goes into the air and then back underwater for real.

Also fun fact: Tim was originally supposed to be a werelion when I [originally made him]! (The joke was going to be he was the lion-tamer AND the lion HILKJFDL) So I think this is a fun look into an alternate world where he actually was!

warrior cats is often extremely weird about its disabled characters dont get me wrong but to be honest i do think the argument of "why do these characters struggle with their disabilities in the books when disabled cats irl are barely hindered?" is a little flawed because of the way the books anthropomorphise their characters. im not physically disabled so dont take my words to heart on this but i think the point is less about the logistics how the characters would be able to move or thrive in a realistic physical setting, and more about what the books do with the themes of disability from a conflict and narrative standpoint.

#like. i dont think how well cinderpelt would actually be able to hunt and fight is really the point #it's more how the books handle a character who had a career/degree change due to a life changing physical disability #and like the sexism in the books a lot of the issues are more in the patterns of how they deal with those themes repeatedly #though obviously there is of course some degree to which the books do downplay a disabled character's ability to be successful #and remove a lot of their agency. it's not NEVER applicable criticism. just misses a lot of the actual point #also a lot of fandom talk about disability in warrior cats leans really heavy on how 'useful' the character is or how well they can work #and like. again not physically disabled myself. but that is a really worrying approach to this topic #you should not be valuing disabled people or fictional representations of them by that metric. horrible capitalist mindset
