Can I say something apparently very controversial?

I liked the 3rd season of Squid Game.

Did it end in the way I wanted? No.

Did the season in general go the way I hoped? No.

Was it still enjoyable, brought me to tears, and was in general fucking badass, reminding us just how miserable that place is? Yes.

The whole time I was on edge thinking that it couldn’t get any worse for them and it did. Lives were ruined for entertainment. And that was the whole point. I liked the delivery and how they handled everything.

The whole point of the show is that you never get what you want. Everything is against you. Sometimes there’s just no happy ending.

i think what some people don’t understand is sometimes i will be obsessed with a media and then realize a few months after the fixation leaves me that i don’t even like it that much. but there could be one character or aspect or something about it that compels me so i have to know everything about the media just so i understand everything there is to understand about that one single aspect

"sex scenes have no narrative purpose" is such a funny take on so many levels. people will really believe that the whole human experience is valuable to portray artistically except sex, which of course has never held emotional weight or significance for anybody
