NATURA NATURANS
March 20, 2017
Fisrt week of March the artist and philosopher Leon Ka from Barcelona visited us for The Sea Container project.
After a few days in Amsterdam, Leon Ka delighted us with "Natura Naturans" a deep philosophical creation, own of his studies and artistic work.
In The Sea Container Leon Ka has tried to outline part of the system from the philosopher, born in Amsterdam, Baruch Spinoza. In such system what is, in general sense,  is the substance (Nature Naturans), its attributes are the perceived essence of said entity, while modes are what is in something else. Extension and thought are the two knowable attributes of substance -among the infinite attributes that are- . Among the various possible conceptual taxa are attributes and modes, which are deployed once in the attribute and the immediate infinite mode: movement and rest, which implies physicality, with respect to the first; And infinite understanding, that is, that which implies some idea, with respect to the second.

PAINTER EXPLOSION
March 1, 2017
Few days ago we hosted the abstract expressionist painter Johe van Der one.
He painted this colorful intervention in our “The Sea Container” project inspired by his trips, and the calm that produces him see the nature and the sunsets, this makes him fly away, dream and escape from the crude reality.
This painting is an explosion of Johe’s feelings  with the controversy between the nature harmony and everything that the Human being create and destroy.

MAKARA
31 July, 2017
Last week the chilean artist Unonueve finished this colorful painting/installation at our Sea Container Project in Amsterdam. (With the support of The National fund of culture and arts from Chile)
This artwork is an homage to Makara, a marine creature of Hindu mythology.
In general it is represented as an average terrestrial creature, marine medium. The upper part of his torso usually presents the constitution of a terrestrial animal, such as a deer. The lower part has an aquatic animal tail.
Makara is the vehicle of the goddess of the river Ganges and the sea of the Varuna sea. It is also the symbol of the astrological sign of Capricorn, one of the twelve symbols of the zodiac.

MACRO ARTIFICIAL BIODIVERSITY
February 22, 2017
Few days ago our friend Skount created the first intervention at our “The Sea container” project.
Skount painted this mural as part of a series that he is currently working in, based on the idea of a possible artificial macro ecosystem, mixing organic, geometric and abstract forms inspired by different ecosystems of places he is visiting, including colors, plants, landscapes, people, customs and patterns from the pure nature of the place and how the native people include this on they day life, rituals and culture.
