★ What trope or theme would you like to see more of?        Villain romance! I want to see more books with villainous characters falling in love. Make it messy, make it seductive and devious. Give them romantic escapes while doing bad things! Confuse me because I want to root for them to kiss, but don’t want to root for their evil plans.        Honestly, that’s why I *loved* The Shadows Between Us so much. I just finished The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller and damn, I loved it!

At first, Alessandra does not seem like a character you would like, nor the Shadow King but somehow it sucks you in and with some great plot twists, I highly recommend.

Could have added a bit more oomph to Kallias, but I give it 5 stars for these lines alone:

So, The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller....what more is there to say? What drew me to this book the most was that our main character isn’t your typical nice girl. She’s a schemer, she knows what she wants and goes for it. Also, because Tricia calls it a Slytherin romance. Slytherin is my house so I couldn’t resist! Finished reading #TheShadowsBetweenUs by @tricialevenseller & I'm very happy I was able to read through it in one or two sittings. I've been busy since Earth has been closed until further notice & everyone has been adjusting, but this was a very nice distraction. If you're looking for complex characters with some moral ambiguity & love to see character growth not just in main characters but also in side characters, this is the book for you! It's just something that is fun and quick to read if you need something interesting to put you in a more cheery mood (or if you're in a reading slump like I'm sure many people are). The cover is also just gorgeous. I have also have a few bookmarks from @creativechaotics & the designs are quite lovely. I finished The Shadows Between us last night. I absolutely loved it! That's more than I expected actually. The main character, Alessandra, grew on me. She was very dislikeable at the beginning. Manipulative and vain. By the end, I really loved and admired her wit. I also have to say I'm not good at figuring out plot twists and I was on to this one. I suspected at least one thing that happened but I was surprised by the other part of the reveal at the end.
