I'm starting to get frustrated that people on that Discord GenAI post are missing the point. You can literally hover over pictures in servers and get an option to "remix them" with AI that Discord is endorsing. Like even if those AI apps are not part of your server. Like that's a HUGE problem and Discord added it very quietly.

Finally got my steam account linked to the correct ea account after all this time but i forgor to back up my save files so ea just ate them all. You know what that means, I'm gonna have to play all these games again starting from scratch, oh no!!!

if you use it, in your opinion is obsidian sync worth it? i'm trying to switch from google docs and i do write enough that i'd use it but i'm still on the fence

i'm sure there are reasons to not just put your vault in a onedrive folder or whatever but. that's what i do instead. i used to write on my phone a lot more, and maybe if i still did it would be worth it to have that work more seamlessly? if i were worried about security i might keep it on protondrive instead. but since i'm mostly writing on my desktop or laptop and they both have onedrive anyway... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it's easy to switch your vault to unsynced if you want to try paying for a month as a trial run.

EDIT: i just remembered, there's also a community plugin that's supposed to let you save remotely using free cloud storage, i haven't tested it but it might be worth a try also

I'm mainly active on tumblr on my phone & if I'm gonna be active on cohost, I'm gonna need a way to access it easily on my phone.

I can't find any apps for it on the store.

If you are going to a hotel and there is any possibility whatsoever that the hotel will be fully booked

Like for a con, a concert, a big event of any kind

Book through the hotel’s website

You will pay more than if you use those apps and sites to find you the best deals

You know what you get for that money though?

You get the fucking room

Hotels and all those deal sites can will and DO book more rooms than the hotel physically has all the fucking time

Third parties are the first to get kicked, because the hotel prioritises the people who booked through their own website

Every year a dozen people at least end up scrambling for a room cuz they showed up and ooooooh saved $100/night on a room except the room does not exist and they’re just fucked
