Had a dream where Marcille made a Totk-esque dragon version of herself that she could summon and switch her mind to for various reasons.

Ramblings about the dream and art process below:

In the dream the main reason was to protect herself (and furina who was also there for some reason??) from an assassination attempt. Technically she succeeded because she didn't die BUT it was only because her mind and soul were evenly split between the dragon body and her body which was able to somehow keep them both alive.

Furina died tho rip to a queen I guess (tho technically she was already dead shes basically puppeting her own corpse literally all the time according to the dream, like her body is "alive" but her soul is in her gem thingy so she can "die" but as long as she has the gem she can resurrect herself infinitely and basically live forever, so to "kill" her they took the gem and are basically waiting for her body to expire, they can't break it cuz the gem is indestructible)

It was a weird dream all in all but I liked some of the designs, I have a doodle of furinas I might clean up. There was also a sense of unease for every character- Link was there too- and they all recognized they weren't supposed to be here and that the world around them was wrong. Like they could see that the logic didn't make sense, and that they shouldnt be able to do the things they do (furina resurrection and Marcille dragon)

But it wasn't a they are in a dream scenario (even tho yeah they were lol) they were taken from their world to a real place but that place was just wrong

Theorizing why we MIGHT be getting Mr. Puzzles in the next SMG4 episode (May 10th)

So…as you guys know, SMG4 has been on the same pattern regarding Mr. Puzzles for two years…a March/April “arc”, July “arc”, and October “arc”—AKA WOTFI

Now for the March Arc, I’ve analyzed the pattern of videos SMG4 has uploaded for the March arc (excluding Mario Does Things/SMG4 Crew because those weren’t episodes, just Wednesday extras)

As you can follow by the pattern associated, there are usually 3 episodes after a movie and the 4th episode is something related to the “arc” i.e. Buying the new castle (which had the Puzzlevision theme in the episode) and Mr. Puzzles returning in Mario The Exploro

Now if we follow this same pattern for this year, we get 3 episodes and tomorrow will be our 4th one

In conclusion, we might get Mr. Puzzles in tomorrow’s episode if we follow this exact pattern

ok so we all agree that Jon’s gonna straight up desert the Watch, right? But the question is why? I think there’s a rule of three pattern with his previous attempts. The first was to avenge Ned and help Robb, the second to help Arya plus his thing with Ramsay. There’s a clear theme of vengeance mixed with justice, juxtaposed with his want to help a sibling. And it always has to do with the STARKS. So the third time might finally be the charm. I mean he could always be stopped, or he could succeed. So if he does leave the Watch, it will be for the Starks…..but which one?

FINALLY DONE ! had a major case of 'second mitten(?) syndrome' and couldnt get myself to finish them but i finally did!

pattern is Keisarinna by Tiina Kuu and its a free pattern!! i like that they gave 2 different versions for ppl with shorter fingers (like me..) although not only are my hands smalls but turns out my gage is quite tight so i still had to go down a size (2mm) AND modify the pattern for them to fit me..

I was discussing Korean shamanism with @agotia-t after they introduced Hanbam, and this encouraged me to finally draw my White-Naped Crane shaman OC, Chongsu (link to months old post here), as I said I eventually would. I have briefly included her in The Rod that Blocks the Lightning (here, about 2/3rds of the way through the chapter), as well.

She participates in the spiritual and medicine making practices of the mudang, while avoiding the performances of the kisaeng path.

Here is an example of one of her gutdang worship rooms, in which she would perform sacred ceremonies.

Generations past, a Joseon style caste system was kept in place with the help of the spiritual priest class, mudang shamans with a mixture of Confucianism and Buddhism, enjoying many luxuries and power in their caste high above most other species.

In the current day of the AU, generations after the former kings and caste systems were overthrown, the scars still remain (ex. Weasels thinking they are superior to smaller species and the squirrels needing to be reminded that they are allowed to join the soldier hedgehogs).

The White-Naped cranes spiritual practices, and preference towards the old caste system, have fallen out of favor with the general populace of Flower Hill. It is, however, very popular with the Weasels, who still hold that they are superior to the smaller animals. Many shaman leave Flower Hill to join the weasels to provide spiritual practices, something Flower Hill cannot stop due to migration permits.

Chongsu is based on a mudang shaman whose bloodline supposedly ties back the strongest to Sungmo, the mother of all shaman priestesses. Which makes her a sort of community elder despite her young age, as well as her constant mysterious illnesses.

She is a young crane, who lives in Flower Hill, too sickly to make the annual migration to Teikoku (Japan), like most of the White-Napes cranes. She and her followers assist in making medicine for the troops. Her biggest wish and command is for all species to get along with each other in harmony. What she does not realize, is that as the ‘supreme leader,’ this could possibly be misinterpreted as a command for her followers to reinstate the caste system, by any means possible, which could even mean teaming up with weasel, wolf, or tiger leaders, who also wish to return to the caste system and crush all underfoot.

In real life, white named cranes are unusual in that they primary live in the demilitarized zone of North Korea, but migrate to Japan. Shaman still exist in Korea to this day (participating in spiritual/healing leaders, fortune telling, and entertainment such as with the kisaeng), but are sometimes treated with suspicion, especially in North Korea, due to many of them, especially the kisaeng (who the Japanese troops found similar to geisha, apparently according to reports), siding with the Japanese during the invasions. As a result, the distrust and semi discrimination the Flower Hill commanders hold for Chongsu, is a hint that all is not absolutely perfect in Flower Hill.
