Something I've noticed while I was ruminating about Meur and Don's possible "attunement" with the Queen of Hatred abno,with how much the "Don should have QoH E.G.O" and "Meur should have QoH E.G.O" groups have been getting louder lately lmao. Who says we can't have both?

Both of them could synchronize with the funny snek magical girl more than they'd care to admit... Y'know, might as well copy-paste my thoughts on QoH Meur, considering how many people have written whole-ass dissertations about QoH Don.

QoH seems to define herself by "usefulness" or "purpose". When there's evil in the world, she has a purpose! She's happy to serve, in the name of Love, when there's a villain on the loose! But without evil, without a villain, she's "useless", and risks being… thrown away.

QoH seeks Love (and technically Happiness, though that's technically more King of Greed), while Meur has been attempting to seek happiness. QoH is eager to serve, until she is considered "useless" and goes ballistic, while Meur tends to obey without complaint and both has difficulty expressing his emotions and was probably taught to repress them heavily, and probably feels some bottled-up resentment over the idea of being discarded…

I ain’t gonna lie, these past couple of weeks since I’ve talked more with other Mahito fans in a Discord server, I’ve grown to love Junpei Yoshino more than I did before. (All thanks to @ebbing-terror)

When I first watched JJK Episode 9 when he and Mahito first appeared, I did love Junpei, but I didn’t care TOO MUCH about his character. However, I do relate to him when it comes to bullying and being hyperfixated over an interest (and understandably hating school and humans for A LOT of reasons), which are part of why I liked him and his reserved personality. I did felt bad when Mahito killed him, but I still think he was so stupid and naive for falling for him like that. (Poor boy doesn’t know any better to trust his instincts… 🥺) LOL

NOW… I love Junpei even more to the point where I came up with an AU where he’s still alive and I ship him with my heart demon cursed spirit OC who is now named Kuroai Shoshin (NOTE: Aiko and Kuroai are not blood related. They are a curse species of Heart Demons like how animals are.) She didn’t have a name at first when I first drew her because Kuroai wasn’t important to what I have in mind headcanonically for JJK and my OCs (Mostly cursed spirit OCs, Aiko, Noguri, and Umiyuu).

**The black-red heart demon cursed spirit is Kuroai Shoshin! 🫀🖤 The other two are still considered! And of course, bottom girl is Aiko Shoshin (Heian Aiko before she got rebirthed).**

In this AU, Kuroai got summoned and rebirthed by someone who was messing with another copy of “The Forbidden Book of Heart Demons” (Like what Geto did to summon and rebirth Aiko). The guy wanted to summon a heart demon for the sake of a “better replacement than finding a real woman” (Eventually he got killed because Kuroai dislikes his personality, his nasty smell, and overall, everything about him). Ever since then, she’s been running around the cities of Japan (Mostly Tokyo, which I assume is where Junpei lives at) to run away from the overwhelming encounters of humans and in a secluded area where Junpei was alone, that’s when she first met Junpei (while in a maid dress because I think it’s a funny idea). Ever since that day, she’s obsessively in love and seductive over him (She loves shy, timid, weak, nerdy/geeky boy losers who would submit to her dominant and teasing behavior. She finds them cute and it’s her type of man.) Junpei eventually got to know her and understand her better, introduced her to his interests in movies, and he’s used to her teasing/bullying him (Not like the kind of bullying from his school, but more like flirtatious teasing). He also doesn’t mind teaching and explaining to Kuroai how do humans do things. Since Kuroai is a cursed spirit, she’s not gonna obviously know everything, unless her cute little loser, Junpei teaches her the ways of how humans do things. (To clarify, Kuroai hates humans as much as Junpei does, but she trust him because she can sense that he’s different... And she knows he’s her type. ;3 🖤 She also teases/bullies him like how Nagatoro bullies her senpai).

Anyways, I just thought of rambling about my Junpei x Kuroai JJK AU since I’m starting to love Junpei more than before and one of my Heart Demon OCs is into weak humans who are shy, timid, and nerdy/geeky so I just thought it’d be cute to ship them in an AU in JJK (Also to clarify: Mahito and Aiko are still together in this AU, but Aiko is unaware that her old friend is rebirthed nor does she remember anything about her unless she touches her to regain her memories of associating with Kuroai back in the Heian period. Kuroai has a strong memory so she remembers Aiko and knows mostly everything about her even if she looks different. However, in this AU, Kuroai doesn’t forgive her for agreeing with Sukuna’s orders on challenging Aiko’s love for him by dealing with him emotionally and mentally. Therefore, she wants rebirth Aiko dead because she thought she was the reason that heart demons are extinct in the Jujutsu world, when really Sukuna was the one who wiped their species entirely).

tide was Literally Created To Be A Hero. thats . really all he is for a while. which means he is VERY GOOD AT WHAT HE DOES. GOD. cannot state enough just how much i think the elementals should be like. forces of nature (ha) but like. especially tide and magma. you see them in a fight and the instinct driven lizard monkey brain goes "oh fuck oh shit im in danger time to go into fight or flight mode"

that being said i dont think they really .. synergize with anyone outside of each other. there are different reasons for each of them but i think like… the reason the elementals were so successful in their time is because they work REALLY FUCKING WELL together (because theyre all clones of one guy so technically theyre the same person but theyre NOT but you get what i mean). they are all equals with each other but not necessarily with other people. so i think.. when the elementals were all together i think they almost always worked as a team and not much with anyone else, but after they broke apart… i think tide and magma stay pretty solo for their respective endbringers. they might team up with each other occasionally or when theyre against simurgh (im thinkin they can do really fun things with steam clouds) but other than that theyre kind of on their own. well. magma i think works with seismic a lot when he shows up. but he doesnt always show up. remind me after this to expand on the current elementals dynamic bc god i think about them a lot.

all this to say i think tide works solo most of the time and he has his reasons for it but i think that makes it even more impactful when he eventually starts teaming up w mark in fights (ooough tidalwave forever)

ros helped me out w the classification we've i think decided on shaker/mover for him . also like. thinker 1 wetsuit powers which is mostly a joke but also i kind of want it to be serious bcause it would be funny for ME . also im really bad at the number system so im not assigning him numbers. hes sooo powerful though. not enough that he can take on an endbringer ALONE bc that would be insane. but enough that he can fight leviathan for like. 10-20 unbroken minutes and not get immediately killed

ok ok specific powers here we go:

Hydrokinesis: pretty. obvious i guess. mans can control water. i thiiiink for now this is gonna be limited to liquid water and not ice. maybe in conjunction with someone elses power they could freeze his water but i dont think hed be able to control it much after that i think it would just keep whatever momentum it had before. also i think he is limited to liquids that are almost entirely water? as much as i love the potential of bloodbender tide i dont see a way to like. write him actually using that without it being sooooo so so awful and not in a fun way. but with things that r like… mixtures? solutions? whatever? as long as theyre mostly water i think he can partially control them. not as strong as water but he can. control the water In Them but but the Substance. does that mean anything? im thinking abt the part in burn your bridges where he uses whatever liquid was in the tubes to slow their falls. but he didnt like. use it to carry them to a stretcher or anything he just made sure they didnt faceplant onto the concrete.

Breathing underwater: also self explanatory. mans got gills. i like the idea of each of the clones having veryyyyy minor physical alterations. tides got gills and little fins. magmas got weird colored eyes and stone (lava rock) skin in a few places.

enhanced movement in water: i think this is partially because he can control water, he can use it to propel himself in whatever direction. create currents if hes fully underwater and stuff. i think he can make it through leviathans storm pretty easily. well,,, not easily because he cant really do anything about wind. but the rain/waves dont affect him as bad as they would other capes . also he can do the cool thing he can do in canon where he like. surfs on a wave. i rlly like that visual.

I think the wards' first endbringer fight Should Be leviathan and I don't think they were supposed to go but they did anyway and virion tried to copy tides power and he had a fucking. dad panic moment about it. full on dead stop in the middle of the fight you boys SHOULDNT BE HERE go home. but eventually imprint copies his power anyway and Tide realizes like. OK. he won't be in as much danger if he can do the same things as me. and that's the ONLY reason he doesn't fucking abandon the leviathan fight (insane thought for him to even consider) and get them out to safety

His name is Quercus and he is old as balls

He had Amanita when he was very very old too and these two were particularly close because she was the only surviving seedling. She's never seen his persona face to face but they talked a lot and he took great care of her (I think I already mentioned how roots grow up and how he's like with his children)

The kingdom he resides in is quite literally built around, on and into his giant ancient root body. He hasn't fully abandoned his former form like his daughter had and resides in a sort of in-between, which roots can do. His smaller form is connected to his body and is more residual from ages long past when he used to properly rule the kingdom. Now he's retreated from this role and many of the kingdom's peoples don't even realise that the higher being whose body they live in is still alive

He keeps his body beneath the ground, in a chamber he dug amongst his roots, where he mostly resides in and feeds on any poor schmuck that decides to venture into (and get lost in) the twisting, long tunnels amongst his roots

It's been a long time since he's communicated with anyone face to face, which he doesn't mind, roots aren't particularly social and are quite literally built to remain stationary with very little outside stimuli for a very long time

A mortal would have probably go insane if they spent their human lifespan's equivalent in isolation like he did but he's quite literally built different

And when I say ancient I mean ANCIENT

When he had Amanita he probably would be like the human equivalent of a 110 year old

But roots don't die of old age and he's strong and healthy so he's still kicking

The few AUs where he and Adamas meet they do NOT get along its actually so funny

I've mentioned that higher beings in my AU have the ability to sense who is their kin and it's especially strong in rootfolk, it's needed considering how they reproduce to avoid inbreeding

LONG story short, Flower needed a fucking break from Everything, ended up getting lost, ended up chancing upon their grandma and almost got their ass beaten by her before she realised they're her kin, after they left she had a bad feeling and decided to follow to keep an eye on them, they arrived at their grandfather's former kingdom and decided hey checking out these tunnels that supposedly nobody came out of alive would be a good idea, Adamas obviously sensed this ancient god in there and followed to keep Flower's dumb ass safe, bullshit ensues when she interrupts him excitedly introducing himself to the first grandkid he's ever met and asking about his daughter

And the two get into a massive argument. Because it just didn't occur to them that their children could EVER end up together

And Flower can't get a word in to explain

Adamas might not be a god but she's so willing to square up against one about this, Flower is HER kin so you can go fuck yourself you overgrown carrot

• Really fucked up from his relationship with Regina, more than he’d ever verbally tell people, but he’s also shit at hiding his emotions. Constantly on edge about how he’s being perceived all the time. When he’s with Cady at first, he tries to hide all his “flaws” to make him seem perfect.

• His flaws? He has anxiety, is allergic to most animals and is lactose intolerant. When Cady finds these out, their next date is to an aquarium and a place she knows that does really good alternative milk ice cream (his favourite is soy).

• Cady is obsessed with lions and cats in general and Aaron is allergic to them, she gets them matching Cat stuffed animals. His ginger and hers is a brown cat. He takes his everywhere.

• Following from this, Cady buys him a little catfish stuffed animal at the aquarium because Cady is a cat and he is a fish. (the mg discord server helped with this one last night and now their ship name has become “”catfish””).

• Loves soup. I think I’ve already spoken about this and his sensory issues from anxiety and now he eats the most plain foods ever. He also loves crackers, especially when he’s feeling Extra Bad. For this. damian calls him “Polly”, as in “Polly want a cracker”. (THAT’S COURTESY OF MY PARTNER. they had that hc in public and i was in tears it was so funny.) Aaron just accepts this nickname and doesn’t complain.

• He does a sport in every season. He’s mediocre at everything but he’s at least functionally okay at sports, so he does as many as he can, inside and outside of school.

• Eats ice cream from tubs and tubs only. No one can take this from me. He doesn’t ever get a cone. Also he only eats vanilla ice cream.

• He broke his wrist or arm once, probably when dating Regina and, because it wasn’t his writing hand, he just didn’t do anything about it. It hurt, but he didn’t realise it wasn’t supposed to hurt That Much.

• Has a little ally pride pin on his bag. While i hc Cady as straight, in the idea that she’s bi, he gets her a little bit pride pin to keep on her bag.

It’s such whiplash for aaron because he really likes cady as she is. just as cady. Cady who’s a bit off socially, the cady who likes hot chocolate and dresses in flannels and drinks from her water bottle and who’s mom packs her lunch. He doesn’t like the cady in make up he KNOWS is making her uncomfortable, or the short skirt she’s too cold in, or the fact she’s skipped lunch when he knows she gets more overwhelmed when she doesn’t eat enough. He can see right through the mask cady learned to create, even if cady can’t see it’s a mask yet. Cady, post fearless, is very aware of what she’s doing even though it’s a mask, it’s the same one regina wears. She’s the same cady underneath but it’s so deep now and aaron just. can’t. he can’t cope with watching cady slowly destroy herself to what. be liked? Aaron understands all the little intricacies of cady. He knows how to tell when she’s overwhelmed and when she’s upset and when she’s excited, but all these little details he recognises so easily are so suppressed when cady is masking and it’s so strange. watching cady like that. he can usually read cady like an open book because she’d never masked properly before then, she’d just been cady, but he can’t read plastics cady just like he could never read regina .

Decemberween 2024 — The Porch Raccoons

The past few years has been a sequence of contractions in the context of online social spaces. Whether twitter, tumblr, wordpress, mastodon, bluesky or cohost (RIP), some people who were very entrenched in one place have moved to another place, and there have been periods of orientation in those new spaces. One of my favourite periods of this adjustment was watching redditors adjust to Tumblr, and finding people who were delighted by their new environment, even as people were confused by it.

In this time, someone expressed surprise that tumblr just let you share whatever you wanted, and you could follow anyone. The metaphor was that you just put trash out on your front footpath, and anyone who wanted could just wander by and inspect your trash.

This was codified with the phrase My Trash Now.

There are some friends I have who are in what I think of as my ‘porch trash ecosystem.’ They are people who I contact on Discord, every day I can remember to, to say hello, and then to share things – just any old things – I find as I go about my normal day. This can be things like quotes from work, academic sources I find fun or just because I find the name of the academic funny (Wark, 2016). It can be animal pictures that I think they’ll like, things I find thanks to reddits I’m on. Podcasts I listen to, blog posts I’m working on, game designs and ideas, all that kind of thing, can get processed, introduced, and then shared to these people who are, as I understand it, largely not on the same social media platforms as me.

Once upon a time I actually thought, believe it or not, that this kind of behaviour was cheating: If I was bringing someone something it shouldn’t be a copy-paste of something I shared with someone else and I absolutely shouldn’t be making a conversation to make a blog post. That felt to me like at some point, that person might see the blog post I made and come to me with ‘hey, you made this joke/this point, to me, already,’ and then they’d feel like they ‘missed out’ on the blog post I made that day. This rule even applied to tweets, in case you thought I was ever sensible about this idea.

The practice now, of putting things I find on my ‘porch’ and sharing them and making sure that the people around me see specific things I think they’d like to see is, I think, very important in my attempts to reclaim a smaller kind of internet. It is a behaviour that means instead of the shy, contact-light version of reposting a thing on my twitter or tumblr or cohost and figuring the people who would like it would see it I hope, but instead the much more human-centric position of considering: I think this friend would like this, so I will show it to them.

Consequences ensue!

One of the consequences is that I’m much more picky about what a friend might like to see. After all, I don’t want to spend all day on this. But just like the habit of googling words I don’t recognise or names when I see them being talked about in the news, the habit of ‘oh, X would like that, I should send it to them,’ has built in me a realisation that the best stuff is the stuff worth doing this with and not just treating my friends as an audience slush pipe.

Another thing is that I’m much more likely to talk to them about the things I’m sharing. They’re more likely to appreciate what they see and more likely to talk to me about things that they’re expert in. if I don’t quite get something I can share it and sometimes they’ll help me learn. On social media, when someone shares something that’s mostly but not quite right based on your expertise, you can’t really explain that to them you have to kind of explain it to everyone and that creates a sort of didactic feeling. It comes across as passive-aggressive.

My favourite thing about it though is that my friends do it too. They start conversations because they know it’s okay to do that with me. I am not left in the online position of the social media mutual paralysis. ‘Oh no, am I annoying them?’ They’ll tell me! We’re not posters putting up images on adjacent walls, we’re adults talking to one another. By taking the initiative to share with my little ecosystem, I am doing something that reassures them that I want to talk to them and that makes it easier for them to bring things to me to talk about them.

I bring this up on Decemberween because you have this too. You almos certainly have someone you’re talking to online who you’re scared of annoying, who you don’t want to be too concerning about, who you think hey, they might be a friend and I uh, I want to talk to them but I don’t want to annoy them. Bring them things, bring them things to talk about, ask them if they want to talk about things. The first step in building these connections is someone reaching out and there’s nothing wrong with being the person who reaches out and makes contact with people. It is, in fact, good and healthy, and it’s okay if you’re the one doing it most often because some people aren’t that good at it and that’s okay too.

Once upon a time I read and internalised this dumb idea that if you’re the one who initiates conversations online all the time, you’re somehow more of their friend than they are your friend, one of your classic ‘X is bitch behaviour’ kind of stupid ideas. Don’t think like that, don’t be worried about that. This Decemberween, commit to being willing to open your heart and send someone a photograph of a badger buying a pizza.

I wanted my next longpost about DNT to focus on what this book reveals wrt the process of Joining. Instead, I accidentally went on a rant in the Discord server about the Killiks as a people during this particular era of galactic history in-universe, and by extension, Raynar Thul.

Raynar Thul, aka UnuThul, is a Joiner of Unu of some significance who I've put off explaining because when I entered the book, I knew about him and I considered his presence abhorrent. I've since gotten over some of those feelings, but I'm better off copy-pasting my Discord Rant than to try and summarize here.

Spoilers for The Joiner King below, but don't worry about that too much, as I'm kind of reading this book so you don't have to.

The trouble with this particular novel is that while it's EXTREMELY juicy with Bug Lore, half of what it reveals about Kind society/culture/biology are New Developments™️ that i'm having to untangle from what could feasibly have been present before, ie, within the SWTOR era. Basically the premise of this book is that the nest has been undergoing some Changes due to the influence of a highly Force-sensitive Joiner, who was then able to extend his will over the nest as a whole. So discovering which is the nasty yucky invasive anthropomorphism introduced into my bugs by this character and which is the acceptable seasoning of anthropomorphism inherent to the development of a fictional intelligent species is not always super cut and dry

Like, the care given to individual casualties is an explicitly new development (makes sense, there aren't a ton of eusocial hive insects IRL that perform triage), but is the spaceport they built? Is the trade they're performing with other species? Is the Colony involving multiple distinct nests sharing a unified hive mind as opposed to a bunch of them? I'm like, not sure

Which is kind of funny, because the idea that the Killiks were a static culture until this One Guy with the right levels of space magic crashed into their planet & exerted his will over them with his last burst of near-death strength Also Really Bothers Me(edited)

Joiners as a concept are fuckin sick not only because of what the bugs can give to them but for what they can give to the bugs. Joiners aren't Oops! All Hive Mind, they are two minds. Your old personality and memories still exist, but your understanding of the world and your priorities are now one with the Hive. And because I <3 TLT and I'm really big on the permeability of the soul rn, that suggests to me that the character and personality of a hive would change, slowly and surely, depending on the types of Joiners incorporated into it. It would have to. If the hive mind pre-Raynar has no clear source, no clear singular will behind it (disclaimer: IDK if this is true, I have 2.75 more entire book to read), then it could only be shaped and influenced by all its participants, bug and otherwise.

Raynar's existence + influence over the Colony doesn't preclude this possibility, but like. He does raise a question,

that being, could any Forcie have done this under the right circumstances? if not Why not

Like the book hasn't stated it outright but the wiki seemed confident that this guy has been the only Forcie Joiner to get subsumed, and while I don't know if that's a wholly accurate statement bc fucking nobody has read these books, the fact that the books gave the wiki authors that impression BUGS ME (pun intended)

This is the first EU book I've ever read. IDK what kinds of fuckin galactic percentages of Forcies to non-Forcies it's assuming. Obviously the number would be low because this book takes place a point when the Jedi are bouncing back from a painful extinction, but that extinction was recent, it was artificial, and also as we all know well Jedi =/= all Force users and statistically it is buckwild crazy to me that the Killiks would exist for 20,000+ years (the migration Vector mentions was introduced here btw! These are the Kind that left Alderaan, that he was looking for!) and at no point would they have picked up a strong-willed Force-user before this one dude

Now, there IS a confounding factor here. Which is, I imagine any other Forcie Joiners pre-Raynar were not, um. Trying to influence the nest as hard as he was

For starters he's just super duper strong in the Force, but also, he Joined because he crashed into a planet and crawled out of his ship half-dead and super on fire after watching multiple of his friends die horribly, and the will he exerted over the Killiks was a last-ditch effort to get them to save his life as opposed to eating him

that is a SPECIFIC-ASS set of circumstances and maaaybe if such a thing happened again within a different and unrelated nest, the same thing could have happened. Maybe it wasn't the presence of Force abilities that caused this one guy's brain to redirect the flow of the collective mind, but the effort he was putting behind it, effort that previous Force-sensitive Joiners had not found a need to wield

And also, like, UnuThul is 100% a Joiner. He is no more the same guy he was going in than Vector is, this is made clear

Bright side: as I said, I have A TON of this book left to go. And there have been a bunch of really strange happenings within the nest that Raynar in his Dawn-Herald-On-Steroids role seems as baffled by as the rest of the Kind. So maybe the next Big Reveal is gonna blow my ass clean off, slash positive, and make this all sit right with me.

But nonetheless I am bovvered. I am bovvered that a hive mind could develop a person in the drivers' seat for any reason. It feels too easy and it feels too anthropomorphizing, and both of those make it reeeally boring

Welcome To The Railroading Tales From Somewhereica Official Blog!

After taking a poll on my other American railroad centric account (@american-railroading) it seems there was some interest in my silly oc project so here we go! Come in and stay a while, I’ve got nothing but time and passion to talk about and show off things from this series! So without further ado…

Welcome to Somewhereica! The 51st state in the USA. It’s a bit odd as a lot of people would describe it as chaotic and sporadic. But the residents are friendly and there’s plenty of train watching so why not stick around? Here we’ll be talking about some of the more behind the scenes and work in progress parts of the series, that being drawing, writing, and just chatting about characters and engines they’re based on! Getting to know the characters is key to getting invested or understanding a series, SO DON’T BE AFRAID TO SEND ASKS EVER I LOVE TALKING ABOUT THIS SERIES!!!

Refer to me as Jak/Jac/Jack, or even Henry, whichever you prefer, doesn’t matter to me! Pronouns also don’t matter much to me! I’m sure if you’re asking about the series I’m sure I’ll know you’re talking to me anyway! I just figured I ought to give y’all a name to go with the blog.

What Is RRTFS Exactly?

The best way to describe it is sorta like Thomas The Tank Engine. The engines are alive and have faces, and depending on the engine, how experienced they are, and all kinds of factors they can run themselves to some extent. BUT, unlike TTTE, this series is not aimed at little kids. With swearing, blood, character deaths, and very descriptive moments, I’ll be covering some of the less fortunate side of railroading and how bad wrecks and accidents could really be. But, I’ll also be writing more silly and nonsensical stories as well as the realistic ones. After all, this series started off silly so might as well stick to those roots even when some of the shorts take a darker turn! So following the engines will be both harrowing and funny! (Hopefully at least, I’m not a professional writer and I’m always willing to take suggestions!

Where Can I Find The Stories?

As of now, I haven’t posted the links. They’re on a Google Doc that I have given access to anyone who has the link (viewer/commenter only, no edits for obvious reasons). That document goes with three others, the informational document which I wrote down character personalities, short ideas, and the general timeline for the series (it is also accessible to anyone who has the link), the spreadsheet which I use just when I need more technical information/need to know fast what engines I’ve added for what railroad (also public), and the super secret document where me and my co-writer (he’s not on Tumblr sadly) actually write up the shorts, which then get copy and pasted to the actual short document (this one is NOT public, only me and him have it). So for now, they’re just stories on a screen (I can and will post the links when/if someone asks, I’m just too nervous too right away). Me and my co-writer, who has Trainz have talked about animating at least some of the shorts at some point in time, which will not happen for a LONG time, as he only has so many models of some of the characters, some aren’t the best quality, some haven’t and likely won’t be made without special commissions, and none have faces. If this ever changes I WILL SAY SO, as he’s going to try and learn how to make his own models so they all match and we can fill in the gaps!

Is There Anywhere Else To Discuss This?

Yes! Technically there is! I have made a discord server for the series! As of now, only me and my co-writer are in it. I will not be posting the link publicly for the time being. I want to try and ease into moderating a server and I don’t want a bunch of people I don’t know entering it right away! BUT, it is open! If anyone wants to join please DM me about wanting the invite link and I shall supply! After getting comfortable talking to you of course, I want to make sure I don’t let anyone with ill intentions into the server, and I don’t want to be nervous in my own server! There’s also asks! Please send asks here! I love talking about the series and a question you have that I find difficult may just lead to more worldbuilding and fleshing things out! So it’s always appreciated!

Am I Allowed To Make Fanart/Fanfics Of The Series?

Absolutely! Just please credit me as the original creator of the characters and any stories/material you use from the series! I’d love to see fanart and read stories you guys come up with! Just try to be respectful with it and don’t do anything too bad with them! I’d rather not have their faces associated with something bad, but still, by all means go right ahead and come up with trauma inducing stories and edgy art or whatever you have in mind for them! Just tag me if it’s art or when you post about posting a story somewhere (AO3, Wattpad, etc) let me know! I’d love to read it! And who knows, I may take inspiration from you and a similar story could become canon! ;)

On a side note, you’re also allowed to suggest thing for the series! Characters, locations, stories, anything! It may not be used, but ideas are always appreciated and it’s always nice to get an outside perspective on things! So don’t be shy to speak up about something you’d like o see used or done at some point! Also don’t be scared to reference actual events that have happened on railways all around the world, as I’m sure I could use some elements of it in a story set in Somewhereica!

If any of the above questions I already answered didn’t answer your question please let me know! I will answer them, although maybe not right away! Please be patient, there’s only one of me and who knows how many of you!

Bombalurina flirts with everyone. She's probably the one who invites M&R back in every time.

Also, it would be funny to play around with character's locations. Like the reason Jenny keeps the 'sleeps all day, is busy all night' thing from the musical is because she lives on the other side of the world, so most of her activity is at like 3am.

LT Apartment AU

Neighbor AU (apartments) Íthro lives on the third floor, Glanni on the second floor below Íthro, Robbie on the first floor and Sport on the highest floor like six or something Ithro jumping around doing his exercises and Glanni gets annoyed by all the stomping sounds, he often blasts music, one time he threw like potatoes at the ceiling bc he couldn't find a broom, (idek why he has potatoes maybe he was going throw them at ducks or something when taking a break from bulling the kids at the park maybe) as he's doing that he prolly hurts his back or arm or hip whatever cause he's in bad shape and walks like an old man so his fault. A few potatoes definitely hit him on the way down

Anyways Robbie does maintenance stuff for the people in the building, the owners Milford and Bessie live on the first floor a door away from Robbie, so Robbie bumps into them all the time even when he's being sneaky, Bessie somehow always finds him and starts chatting about random gossip or sum, they often exchange dessert recipes

Íthro thinks Glanni's grumpy mood is amusing he finds him funny and finds himself hoping he'll bump into him when he leaves for the gym in the mornings. But Glanni is not a morning person at all, he is a mess, comes out the door in pink bunny slippers and black thin silky robe that's way too short (he sleeps in the nude probs)

Sport and Íthro go to the gym every single morning, on days Íthro is not awake/ready before him (which has been happening a lot more recently🤨wonder is Glanni has anything to do with that) he waits at the bottom of the stairs on the first floor. Robbie coming out his door tired and dead inside holding a big Garfield coffee mug (BC EVERYONE NEEDS A GARF MUG I SWEAR) and gets his breakfast delivery (he orders from some pastry place nearby, gets little cakes and stuff delivered to him most mornings) and Sport sees him tries to make conversation, Stephanie sometimes pops out on her way to school, happy that they're getting along and skips out the building with the other kids not far behind her. Also thanks to @coda-clownery for the idea of making Afrám Íthro the cryptid of the building

Here's a layout of each person's apartment, but I just realized that Sport should be ten, and I might move things around with the numbers, like the numbers aren't in order or something just so I can have Sport as 10 and also staying in the same spot maybe

Also where Afrám Ithro is i feel like it'd be a sus ominous like empty/abandoned apartment that the kids are scared of

There's also another building next to it that's a bit smaller and worse, I just wanted Maggibæt to happen and include the mayhem town gang, i figured that the Mr kicker dude whatever could own the second building ig

I think it's a lil silly whack that the mayhem town gang and officer loli would live in the same building

Also Im prolly gonna stick with Ithro and Sport are brothers and Glanni and Robbie are cousins

hi hello i hope youre doing well and i would very much like to see the gem does get bitten au ideas

hello there, I am and same to you! it is your lucky day because last night when I posted it a few friends also wanted to know and I wrote out a giant thing is discord so I'm just going to copy paste that with some edits lol (under a readmore because it's longish)

So not much changes about the night, except for one thing. At the very start Gem trips and falls and Ren manages to lightly bite her before he gets kicked off, it barely draws blood and Gem forgets about it in the chaos, the bite mark specifically doesn't get noticed because of all the other cuts and stuff she got on her legs from running through the forests.

The nights leading up to the full moon she gets weaker, (first time transformation) but she doesn't think too much of it, she's probably just getting sick or something. She goes to Pearl's like planned and is sitting on the roof with her, watching the moon rise. She starts to tell Pearl that she can go inside and sleep but gets cut off by the worst pain she's ever felt. It shoots through her body and she can feel her bones snapping and regrowing as she changes. Pearl flies her down to the ground while this is happening, worried but unsure of what to do, and she can only stumble backwards as Gem shifts.

She's bigger than Ren was, her fur a bright orange with streaks of light brown near her head, and her now amber eyes convey no recognition of Pearl, who is on the ground and trying to back away. She slowly advances and Pearl doesn't have enough room to escape, until a howl sounds out and she her head snaps up, ears flicking to it. She answers one back and runs off, leaving a shocked Pearl to quickly send a warning out to all the other hermits.

For people eating beasts Gem and Ren don't really get up to much damage, they mostly just run around the forest and kill the occasional sheep or cow. Ren has to teach Gem a lot of wolf stuff because even if she's got some instincts that won't get her everywhere. The night is pretty fun for the two wolves, which is an extreme contrast to when they wake up.

As soon as they're both awake and aware of their surroundings they're both horrified until Ren rounds on Gem growling and demanding to know why she didn't say anything, to which she starts to cower back at but then gains confidence and growls right back, saying she didn't know! She slaps a hand to her mouth and apologises and Ren explains that it's going to be happening a lot more, especially around him.

They leave the forest and meet up with the search party that had been looking for them and Gem suddenly loses all her confidence, pushing Ren forward slightly to explain. It would be funny, 250 Gem hiding behind 190 Ren if the situation weren't so serious. He does end up explaining that Gem didn't realise she had been bitten and there was nothing anyone could do but be careful and award her the same precautions they do him. Gem apologises to Pearl who waves it off, she didn't mean to after all.

Even outside of the transformation Gem experiences changes. She keeps her antlers, but her once deer ears shift to those of a wolf, the same orange as her hair. She grows sharp fangs, and her eyes flash amber when she's angry. The first time any of these changes showed up she ran straight to Ren who reassured her that it was a normal part of the transformation. It didn't stop her from feeling terrible because her deer features were part of who she was. She thanks every god she has ever heard of (including Xelqua) that she kept her antlers because she didn't know what she would do without them.

(Ren overhears this and has so much guilt)

When Moon Big happens Gem and Ren start spending more time at each others bases without realising it, their transformations happen earlier and finish later, their wolf habits start to carry over a lot more (growling, eating raw meat, etc) and they're a lot bigger and more powerful. They get bolder in wolf form, venturing further beyond their forest than they ever had before. (They make sure to stay away from Cleo's area after she fought them over it, Zombies can't become werewolves after all)

When MOON BIG (aka the finale) happens Gem drags Ren away from his whole thing with Doc because she's going to save the people in her pack dammit and she drags him through the portal with her. (aka I always have massive empires brainrot and the crossovers are really interesting (go read puddle jumpers by @/sixteenth-days it's really good and the last chapter comes out tomorrow I think) and I really want to see how this changed Gem and Ren interact with empires.)

damn I really want to make a whole nother post about werewolf!Gem and Ren in empires now so maybe expect that soonish? (and for those who know me as fox anon from empires headcanons you already know that I'm going to be adding in my favourite empires au thing ;) )
