only did the first mission but here are my thoughts so far!!! (hsr 1.2 spoilers below)

so first of all not mission related but WHOOPEEEE i got so lucky on my blade pulls i’m so happy <33

anyway tingyun being POSSESSED and possibly being dead is absolutely insane the scene where her neck snapped had me in shock. but according to the dialogue this means we never knew the real tingyun? watch real tingyun be an npc or something

the dan heng lore had me SHOCKED as well. you mean to tell me blade’s ex is actually dan heng’s previous incarnation dan feng and dan heng is just shouldering the burden of the punishment for what dan feng did??? that is so fucked up. i really hope they elaborate further on what dan feng did because we definitely don’t know the whole story yet and everything surrounding him is so angsty i need to know more!!!

speaking of dan heng though his imbibitor lunae form is soooo beautiful i need him. starting to save right now!! his kit was so fun as well in the trial we got of him. he really parted the sea like moses why is he strong as hell. crazy…

also i think it’s really silly that blade showed up just to stab his ex. he really had a nice little fight and then kafka was like are u satisfied? and he was like Yeah and then they left. that is so funny to me. blade is just a silly angry little guy i love him so bad

anyway on a more serious note i really hope dan heng doesn’t leave the express. it’s way too early for us to say goodbye to a member of our trio!! but there seems to be a lot of foreshadowing of him picking between the luofu and the express. i really hope he stays with us though he’s my favorite member in the trio and it just won’t be as fun without him.. i mean his whole character arc is centered around rebirth and starting anew so surely he’ll stay with us and decide the luofu is where dan feng belonged but not dan heng… surely…. right…? unless he pulls an uno reverse on us all and says he understands the importance of his responsibility to the luofu and he stays with them… please don’t take dan heng away from us though… </3

anyway i’m super satisfied with the pacing of this mission and i’m super excited to continue with the next part tomorrow!! it’s been a crazy ride so far. it’s like 5AM now though so i should definitely be trying to get some sleep. time flies when you’re going crazy on a gacha game. will post more thoughts tomorrow when i do the next part most likely!!

What kinds are around. Whole ones. Broken ones. Weird shapes. Its interesting. Dont take any with me though. That. Makes me wonder how they teach english over there. I havent used a bio in years so people use my username all the time. Oooh norway i have always wanted to go there. I dont camp as much as id like to but i should more tbh. Good story annoying exploration is chasm in a nutshell yeah. True big cities be like that. I live in a smaller one now so very little happens. Mine hold dye decently well which i appreciate. Just wish we had true permanent dye. Maybe one day. Thats how i am with nail polish i always get it on the sides & mess up but ive gotta just. Be patient & let myself learn. YEAH CLARA IS GREAT.... i unfortunately dont have her quite built [terrible relic luck...... plus ive been more focused on trying to prepare for kafka recently] but seeing as shes my main [despite having jing yuan] i Will get her better stuff someday. i have 140 pulls rn so im equally nervous as i am excited. yeah it really Is like that bc im always paranoid ab spoilers so i always do at least the new story as fast as i can. except for right now as i still havent played the new honkai chapter [but tbf my game only managed to download the update yesterday, 3 days after the launch of 6.8] and i honestly dont have the energy to do it today so maybe tomorrow. ah that sounds fun!! i came back to minecraft recently idk why but ive been having a Great time. after 130 in-game days i am finally no longer homeless. and oh when i get older id like to move to a smaller city [since i like having things close but dont like having drama all the time] but im still thinking ab where. ah thats cool...... i tried looking for the dye that i used on camp but couldnt find it. rip. and yeah same tbh thats why i never paint my nails. and yeah happy star rail 1.2 o)-( i like the double planar ornament event since thats the only thing im missing for kafkas things......

IT'S BLAAAAAAADEEEEEEE!

i'm absolutely stoked to have him, and how could i not be!? this guy has the craziest animations! the dead eyed look as he shudders forward and retaliates with a slash at full stacks?! the reflection of his eye in his sword when he ults?!

i'm also having a feast over here admiring the little details in his outfit that i never noticed, like the gold spider lily decoration on his coat's left side. talk about STYLE!!!

his edgy but cool vibe is also fantastically done. it's a great contrast/chemistry with the other stellaron hunters!

since this is fresh off the very beginning of the 1.2 patch, i can't raise him just yet 😂 i'm looking forward to enjoying the new story quest and locations!

(i have a huge backlog of reactions from 1.1 to update this diary with but it will take a while... just wanted to post my first hsr W)

just some pulling plans...

i'm incredibly lucky to get blade at pull 79 (50/50 won)!!! good luck is so rare... i'm thankful for the gacha gods' mercy 🙏

for the rest of the pulls, i'm likely going to save for a future character or lynx! lynx being an abundance quantum character is just really appealing to me. plus she's a landau in serval's band... c'mon!

i'm also eye-ing kafka but honestly it's not a very wise choice, i just Like Women o(￣┰￣*)ゞ

if i pull for kafka, i don't know if i have it in me to also build serval, sampo, and luka for her team when i just got blade. maybe i'll get her on a rerun and complete the stellaron hunter family then!

hmm i think that's it?! fu xuan and imbibitor lunae look really cool, but i don't think i'll be deliberately aiming for them... who knows though, i was definitely not thinking of pulling blade until the 1.2 livestream happened and i saw his moves!

Thoughts from the Honkai Star Rail 1.2 special program:

The trailer was great! The new maps are so pretty, especially that underwater one, and so much story content! I'm ready to find out what Dan Heng's deal is. I think I spotted a statue of his dragon form. And it sounds like this is going to be the last part of the main story? At least the storytelling event description says that the crisis will be resolved. Or maybe another thing crops up after the Stellaron crisis because they teased Jingliu in Yanqing's companion quest and if she doesn't show up in this trailblaze mission there's potentially a new story there. Or will she be part of Jing Yuan's companion quest when we get it?

I am going to do the thing we all say not to do and pull for a four star. I just really like Luka! Look I do not like playing characters that consume their own hp; I just don't find it an enjoyable mechanic to manage. Kafka's cool but as f2p I have to be picky and I really want Jingliu when she becomes playable.

YEAH NEW PUZZLES! I fucking love Star Rail's puzzles.

The new boss looks very cool. Hello giant beautiful lady! No she can reduce skill points?! That's just rude. Oh and she's an Echo of War? So she's a Boss Boss. That means she's gonna be real tough.

They're giving us chat box overlays! And it applies to our text messages with characters. Cute! Always love little personalization touches.

And there's our free Yukong in Forgotten Hall that they mentioned last special program. Always enjoy double reward events like Planar Fissure and the double relic event.

I'm excited for Kafka and Yukong companion missions. I really hope Kafka's gives us more insight into what our relationship was with her before the story started and she wiped our memories.

ANOTHER GIFT OF ODYSSEY EVENT?! HSR is just spoiling us now. Genshin could never.

Ooh so curious about this Global Tea Event they teased. They keep playing up the Interastral Peace Corporation being all over the universe and I have a feeling that they are going to be one of the overarching Big Bads. Or related to it like how we found out Katherine of the Adventurer's Guild in Genshin is a series of puppets controlled by Snezhnaya to spy on other nations.

i honestly get why people got upset over luocha's quest :(( imagine you're waiting for like months for the character you really like and you get little to none about his lore other than he's a travelling merchant and a doctor (also hi3 crumbs but most people i believe don't play it, including me 😭) i wish they expanded more about his lore nd his relationship abt welt LOL other than that i think his quest was funny w the voice change especially luocha's HAJDJJDJD had me thinking for a moment if it was his real voice 😭 but congrats on getting luocha and his lc!! he really loves you 🫶

yeah,,, i'm just disappointed since i had waited for a while. it's even worse on my friend's end too.

i wish they gave him and welt like an actual interaction outside the roleplay scene. i did enjoy seeing more welt interact with march and mc and get to know his dynamic with march but... it probably should've been a world quest or something else.

kafka will definitely rerun at one point. she's the most popular character in the whole game and probably the one that'll get them the most revenue.

my idea so far is to try for blade and see if i win the 50/50 or not.

if i win the 50/50, i start saving for the next character.

if i lose the 50/50. i can use my guarantee on dan heng IL since i really need a dps.

Omg yeah, I totally feel you! Dan Heng is just so amazing, I love this boy <3 but my absolute favorite are 2 girl bosses which are Kafka and Himeko!

So I plan on saving for Kafka and I'm just pulling for Himeko on standard from time to time~

But like Dan Heng is voiced by Toyas VA?!! I swear I didn't knew that but it's just so sick!! (yeah, I listen to ENG voice overs)

And there's a fact, character AIs are so amazing but at the same time they're heart breakers just by being sweethearts 😭
