╰₊✧ even if she doesn’t show it through her expressions, she’s really upset to find you in this situation— not because she’s mad at you, but because she’s mad at herself. she wonders what kind of awful girlfriend she must be not to have noticed you were struggling through debt like she was. now that she thinks about it, she realizes how painfully obvious it was with your strange behavior when it came to working any freelance job you saw a sign of (you weren’t a pickpocket like her, you would never commit any crime intentionally), and being overall stingy when it came to spending money on yourself. she might unintentionally give you the silent treatment for the first few hours simply because she feels terrible about it all but still doesn’t want you to leave her side despite that.

“are you mad at me because i didn’t tell you?” you whined, sticking by her side like a baby duckling with its mama and gently holding on to her arm because she wasn’t looking at you. “sae-byeok… i just didn’t want you to worry about me when you already had so much on your plate…”

she merely blinked in response, stone-faced like usual, making it impossible to determine what was going through her mind. there was a sinking feeling in her chest, the feeling of failing one of the few people she cared about.

“it’s okay… i get it… i’ll give you some space— just come look for me when you wanna talk, i’m going to talk with some of the other people here…” 

she suddenly grabbed you by the hand and dragged you back before you could move away, wrapping her arm around your waist in a protective manner, “no, i’m not mad at you, i promise. just stick with me, okay? i wouldn’t trust anyone here if i were you.” yes, the majority of people here seemed to be middle-aged people who were simply down on their luck. no, she didn’t believe there weren’t any bad ones who would easily take advantage of your kindness in such a large group of people.

you didn’t seem to quite understand what she meant in the last part, but you still cheerfully pulled her in for an embrace once she confirmed she wasn’t upset as you always did when a miscommunication was cleared up. (you didn’t see it, but she cracked a little smile when she hugged you back.)

╰₊✧ pushes you away the second she spots deok-su and quickly tells you to stay away while he confronts her about a past you didn’t know much about, making a scene in front of everyone and progressively getting more aggressive towards her. of course, once he makes his first swing, you immediately run in and start yelling at him to leave her alone when there were clearly more pressing issues at hand. when gi-hun interrupts because he wants to also confront her about something, you had to restrain yourself from pushing him away because you were a pacifist at heart and had been taught to respect your elders no matter what all your life. 

╰₊✧ later when you two join the little alliance gi-hun formed, she makes them keep an eye on you if she has to part from you for any reason. she knows that bastard would make a beeline for you the second he sees you alone, and that bastard isn’t above playing dirty by hurting you or holding you hostage to get leverage on her. the guys find this to be so goddamn adorable and frequently tease sae-byeok for her obvious soft spot towards her girlfriend because they can tell she’s flustered despite how indifferent she may look. listening to you talk about her reminds them that she’s just another young woman who is trying to care for her loved ones and not the shady thief who works with gangsters they once thought she was. they also defend you guys from anyone being homophobic and swear that they will attend your wedding once they get out alive, noting they likely won’t have money for gifts after all the reward money goes toward paying off debt, but you tell them you would appreciate their presence anyway!

╰₊✧ after the first game when they vote all go home, she wants to make you swear on your life that you don’t ever go back to that dangerous place, but she knows how unrealistic that is. she now knows about the crippling debt you both have and it wouldn’t be long before the loan sharks will hunt you down to force you to do terrible things to pay it back. so on the last day of staying on the korean mainland, she coughs up the money to pay for a nice last date before the two of you willingly enter what you believe to be the closest thing earth has to hell.

╰₊✧ instead of the dangerous, loner vibe she has in the original, when she has you by her side, she has the aura of a mama bear— which is fitting considering you’re like a little cub. she’s very protective of you and gives everyone a look that says “hurt her and i’ll kill you” to shut down any possible schemes before they start and helps you out during all of the games because she doesn’t want to risk anything happening to you. it might feel a bit infantilizing to you, but she’s just so terrified at the concept of you getting injured or worse.

red light, green light - keeps you behind her at all times, verbally reminding you not to panic even though she can sense you freaking out. might even hold your hand and guide you through it all, telling you to close your eyes and ignore the sound of bullets as she pulls you through the finish line. 

sugar honeycombs - tells ali to keep you company while she goes into the bathroom to sneak around the vents (he’s your best friend, by the way, the energy is immaculate) and immediately has you pick the triangle shape when lining up (there isn’t too much she needs to do because it’s one of the easier games for you to do).

special game (night of murder) - wants you to hide under the bunkbeds at first, a good idea until people started tipping them over. it’s difficult to find you with the lights flickering and with deok-su after her, so she has you met up with everyone else at gi-huns bed to protect each other. this battle is also likely the first time you cause bodily harm to someone else in self-defense, which will probably fuck you up especially if they are found dead later on. you’ll have some minor injuries, maybe a fractured rib or some cuts, but you’re still alive and that’s all that matters to sae-byeok.

tug of war - might look annoyed at your optimism to win with all the women and the old man on your team, but trust me, she really appreciates it since she wouldn’t know what to do with herself if you suddenly shut down and because you seem to keep their heads ups with your infectious smile. there’s not much she could do to help you out here as it’s a team effort, but she was half-tempted to bribe you into a team with all men just in case (and also because you looked like you were about to start a fight with sang-woo over him insisting that they needed more men and wanting to kick ji-yeong off the team) yet ultimately decided against it which turned out to be the best decision. 

╰₊✧ the games strengthen your relationship through all of the blood and trauma, sticking together through it all and taking care of each other in the lowest moments. you two often share food and sometimes even sleep in the same bed if the other needs comfort, which would be very cute if your hands weren’t constantly trembling from fear and your skin didn’t have little specks of dried blood all over. sae-byeok is tough and has seen her share of violence, but it was all things she was trying to hide from you and keep you safe from ever since she entered this relationship with you. no matter how much you try to assure her that you can handle it, the sinking feeling of failure never leaves her.

“i’m… i’m really scared…” you sighed, cuddling yourself into her side. the barracks were so quiet you could hear a pin drop, yet there was the almost suffocating looming fear of death haunting the place knowing so many souls died within these walls. it always felt so cold even under the blankets with the powerful air-conditioning, but the warmth radiating off of sae-byeok’s body felt like a sanctuary. 

“i know, i know,” she assured. there was a part of her that wanted to admit that she was scared too as she rubbed circles into your back to ease you to sleep, she didn’t dare to even think of her biggest fear in case it manifested into reality. she wouldn’t know what to do with herself in case it came true, so she chose to bury the thought of it deep down where she prayed it would never show itself again.

she dreams of winning these games with you, using the money to pay off all your debts, helping her mother escape north korea, to go towards her brother’s future, to helping the both of you start new lives where you both were accepted— all things she thinks of to push back all of the dark thoughts and help her sleep in your arms, forever by your side.

eve talks, thinks, and acts too much like a psychology major. thanks, britta perry.

beware: rant below

the teenaged romantic relationships are not messy enough to be interesting. there’s a fine line among annoyingly boring - messy - and annoyingly messy. invincible, write your characters like fucking humans. they talk way too much with each other in a healthy way, there’s a lack of emotion that makes it feel bland. sure, we didn’t need cheating but i need more of an actual portrayal of complicated feelings among the cast. not just telling us, the audience, that it’s complicated. maybe it’s nice to the writers in contrast to amber and mark’s relationship to have a relationship without true obstacles to overcome, who just fit perfectly together. however, mark and amber were compelling with chemistry because their interactions related to one of the central themes and was tense because of external conflicts they had to face head on, and not just talk through. plus, they had chemistry because they got along among other reasons, so you get the sense in another life they’d still be together which hits harder and sits with you better.

another thing, mark and eve don’t just work as a couple because they’re superheroes. this was the perfect time to demonstrate the dynamic the two will have, to sell them as a couple worth screentime and ultimately endgame. it’s obvious as fuck the show is written around the two to be together from eve’s special, to their parallels, similar values and goals, and the fact that the audience could catch onto their chemistry that was apparent from the first season (and shockingly lacking later). mark and amber never felt like endgame to me yet them having more chemistry, tension, and intrigue so far is frustrating. (yes, I know their story is complete but imagine if mark and eve weren’t portrayed as teens just casually trying to date each other like they are in the third season. their feelings for each other do not feel profound at all as i feel it should be and like they’re truly destined and that a force they can’t truly comprehend brings them together blah blah blah. like they’re truly birds of a feather who understands one another on a whole other level. it’s so fucking wack.)

explore more of mark’s melancholy that his last relationship ended because he didn’t want his gf to get hurt. show more of mark’s avoidance of eve and him being nervous and reserved around her but also evidently contemplative and wistful. show more of their attraction to each other.

show more of eve’s reasonable understanding of healthy boundaries but also her disappointment in mark avoiding her, feeling insecure about it (because the one who should be insecure about stuff like this should be eve, who has dated a serial cheater as her first love). have eve be wary of mark not only because of the future eve dilemma that wasn’t even that big a deal unfortunately, so wack, such a missed opportunity but also because she’s been cheated on before, and that her dad does not like her so she’s insecure about her taste in men and doesn’t know why mark would like her. have them tiptoe around the other but make the tension palpable, not played almost entirely for comedy and quickly resolved with barely a microcosm of interpersonal conflict. have eve feel guilt when she confronts her feelings for mark, mainly because she’s friends with amber and mark too! show eve is way too healthy of a communicator and it freaks me out. she doesn’t even have to be completely like her comic counterpart, just make her feel young and human like they all were in the first and second season, making mistakes and acting on impulses.

build up the emotion to where when important beats happen, it feels significant and satisfying. like them getting together for the first time, or kissing, dating, making love etc. that way we as an audience connect with them more on an emotional level when something bad happens hint hint and it won’t feel like you’re trying to force it out of me. make us want to root for them and not lazily put them together based on a history the two share that wasn’t even mainly focused on in favour of another love interest. make us understand truly why they want and love each other instead of making it feel as casual as it does.

i would’ve loved a semi-love triangle/square/pentagon with mark, amber, eve, rex, and/or rae. anything to spice things up!

Poppy Avn Characters pt.1

Ok I have everything for the first three characters down so here we go :).

Please note that these guys were made for my fanfiction of the au "Science Time with Dr. Pine" Which has mostly been expanded on by @aroace-get-out-of-my-face. This is in no way meant to impose on them or disregard their ideas for the au, I'm just doing my best with what we have so far.

I did my best to copy the GF style. But in actual artwork I make, I'll probably go closer to my usual style.

The other three will hopefully be done tomorrow.

Name, Age, Place of Birth-

Eliane Lopes (Eli): 16, Brazil-

Mainly works as a puppeteer until they start doing more human acting, then she works as an older sister figure for the puppets that are children. For the adult puppets (i.e. Dr. Pine), she works as an assistant to connect watchers to the topic. Her mom comes on set sometimes early on to see what exactly her daughter does for work (and starts to bring lunch too when they worm their way into her heart), then eventually joins and plays a role in teaching how to begin learning new languages. She will eventually act as a primary parental figure. 

As Eli gets older, and comes into her own, she will take on a more active role as she gets more experience from the others (Stan also teaches her how to pick-pocket and lock-pick because of course he did). Kind of becomes a proto-Wendy/Soos, where she gets taken under Stans’ wing and they develop a familial relationship, her mom also kinda takes in Stan in the same way and also teaches him to cook.

After everything with Ford happens Eli is saltier for a bit since she and Stan had bonded, but she gets over it fairly fast and is happy Stan could reconnect with his family. She and her mom gossip about him though.

Her main puppet is a younger one named ‘Rosie’ which, at first (season 1), is a small hand puppet with finger-controlled hands. Her main body is made of soft orange felt cloth, she wears a repurposed green dress for dolls and has a head of red ‘hair’ made of string. She also had a round red nose and big ol’ googly eyes. The new Rosie puppet (season 2 and onward) is heavier and fuller, she is still felt, but her eyes are also now the classic felt kind too. Her body is plumped up with more padding, and she now has sticks to move her arms rather than fingers. She has a proper custom dress, along with a few other outfits for different activities. Her hair is also now proper faux hair, pressed into wild curls with a mix of string throughout the scalp (like her puppeteer).

Rosie is sweet and meant to connect to the younger audience, being the primary focus of the camera. She talks very kindly, and often is the character to reiterate the ‘lesson of the day’ at the end of segments. Otherwise, the other puppets will do their thing during their segments. Her and Dr. Pine are often paired together since they have good chemistry, they have a sweet student and teacher relationship.

David Mercury: 17, NYC-

He is also a puppeteer to begin with, but when live actors start happening, he is often an extra since he’s a little camera shy as a human actor. Usually he will help with sets, moving things around, setting up lights or helping with adding details to set pieces. He doesn’t really talk about his home life. He is a big fan of rock bands like QUEEN, AC/DC and KISS.

He has an interest in the cameras early on and will often stay after hours to ask how everything works to actually make a segment look good. Otherwise, he can be found around town late into the evening. After he becomes an adult, he also starts to learn how to operate the cameras and eventually goes to college for film while working on PA on the side. He eventually becomes PA’s main cameraman. He and Eli become good friends.

When the Ford stuff is figured out, he  works with Ford to make a mini documentary about Gravity Falls; it doesn’t get released until years later after Fords’ research is published since it was primarily a passion project. He composes all of the shots and makes all of the music for it too. He did outsource to a college friend for editing though.

His primary puppet is a skinny little tube of a guy named ‘Casey’, closer to a teen in terms of a puppet kid. At the start (season 1) He is made with bright blue textured cloth, with a long pale felt nose, googly eyes and staggered segments of cut black felt cloth ‘hair’, similarly his clothes are bits of felt cut into a sort-of T-shirt. The newer Casey puppet (season 2 and onward) gets the stuffed felt treatment too. He's still a skinny thing, he just has more shape and definition, along with custom clothes as well and short fake hair.

He acts as a way of establishing the ‘situation’ for the day that the lesson is centered around. Otherwise, he mainly acts as a third man to bounce interactions off of to make things feel more natural. He has a sort of plain nasally voice and has a bit of a sarcastic streak. He is often the focus of episodes about friends or social interactions. He is usually in the main Rosie segments where they act as a duo.

John Richards: 24, New Mexico-

Started as the muscle and helped with the set building, since he is such a big guy, being an ex-football player. But when Tina the Tiny T-Rex gets introduced (season 2), he plays her since her costume is so heavy. Her lines are dubbed over in post by a later hire. He looks like a massive terrifying bear, but he is actually very sweet. He and Stan are buds and both work on PA until they both retire. Even then, they stay in contact despite living in different states.

He is the guy who tackles Ford when he attacks Dr. Pine, and thusly, he isn’t very fond of Ford until after he and Stan work out their stuff. Then it’s constant teasing by making Ford join in lesson segments about family when he is featured in the show. There are so many videos of Tina doing football stuff that it causes women's football to go on the rise for a while. He takes pride in this fact as he is the oldest of 3 and his two sisters look up to him a lot.

Tina is a T-Rex done sort of in the style of Barney the Dinosaur. She has a big head with long stocky legs and small arms that are mostly controlled by the hands around the ‘biceps’ of the costume. Coincidentally, she is also mostly scientifically accurate due to the plumage of ‘feathers’ (read: fake party feathers and string) on her back, joints and tail, which were used to hide the actor better. She is a light blue on her felt ‘scaled’ parts and has dark blue spots on her body and her ‘feathers’.

She is excitable and sporty, encouraging play and healthy activity, always trying to inspire the others to try out some form of sport or physical movement. Otherwise, she will often be the one to ask questions about the ‘lesson of the day’ and address anything that the audience might get confused on.

'liking my posts, commenting corny pick up lines, but never dming me? suspicious.' he was over the moon, texted his friends immediately about the insta girl he likes actually texted him back??? what world is he even in??? he was so excited he forgot to text back, he was too busy texting the pogues about texting you back. 'maybe i'm just nonchalant' was his reply, and soon after, he got his. 'making me wait, i see? aren't u supposed to be my simp????' you questioned, no doubt smiling while you typed it. 'i most definitely am 🫡. ur so dang pretty mama' he texts back, almost proudly. 'so much for nonchalant' was all he got in return. chatting became almost a nightly ritual for you two, a chronically online loser with no friends and a guy way too obsessed with her. dumb memes, texting un til midnight, mayyybeee some special photos just for him. all the while, he'd yap to his friends. 'she's so cool', 'she's so pretty', 'she's so funny', 'i'm totally in love with her' was something the pogues had to deal with pretty much on the regular. eventually, texting became face timing. playing dumb video games, doing karaoke or just chatting about anything. jj really had become your best friend. you barely posted on instagram anymore, which was bad enough for your 'simps', but your biggest mistake was posting a story about being on face time. less favourable fans went crazy, so crazy you had to turn off dm's. and jj was there to comfort you. he was there when you quit instagram, he was there when you wanted to go back. it was never good for you anyways, it fed into that unhealthy need for praise and attention, and that even worse attachment to being slim. but he was there. so you finally took the ferry from the mainland to the outer banks just to see him.

Winter was always you and matt’s second favorite season next to fall, mainly because Christmas is in the winter time. You and him have made a tradition of planning 25 days of Christmas festivities that you two wanted to do together leading up to Christmas together.

It could be in LA or Boston or even as far as being outside or inside the house if it was too cold for you two.

Which brings you to now, day 10 of your 25 day Christmas festivities which just so happen to be something you and matt quite enjoyed doing together, ice skating.

"Matt no im going to fall'

you squeal keeping a tight grip on his hand as he begin to skate away from you.

'baby you should know how to do this we have been doing this for a few years now'

matt chuckles as you as he looks back at you trying not to fall face first on the ice.

' no no no you cant talk okay ice skating is in your blood you literally did hockey for fucksake'

you whine out.

' okay thats fair'

he chuckles out pulling on your arm to get you up to where he was so you are right beside him as you let out a squeal from the action as you grip onto his forearm tightly giggling.

'i got you princess i got you'

he chuckles out replying to your action as he places his hand ontop of yours.

matt suggests looking at you and digging his hand in the bowl of popcorn placed on your lap, hoping you agree with him.

You begin playing the first round of rock paper sisscors, you winning the first round playing down paper and him playing rock. little did you know matt had a little trick up his sleeve.

you chuckle pushing some of his hair out of your face.

matt cockily states as you two began to play the last round which was the tie breaker. Matt when you weren't paying too much attention seeing you were mainly focusing on what move you were going to play rather than think about what he was going to play, he quickly swap his hand from paper to sisscors once he saw you playing paper.

you gasp out look at matt seeing and realizing what he did.

"elf it is"

matt chuckles.

"you can't do that you cheated"

you state pouting as he looks at you chuckling wrapping his arms around your torso still in complete shock.

you giggle along with him wrapping your arms around his leaning in figure seeing his arms were still around your torso.

matt sighs out giving in sitting up and placing a kiss on your forehead.

matt groans out leaning against the shopping cart, as you and him are at Target getting some quick ingredients for the cookies you two were going to make at your house making it day 22 of your Christmas festivities and unbeknownst to you Matt wanted to mess with you a little to see if you noticed the name change.

"did you just call me dude im not dude"

you turn around pouting and shifting your focus completely away from the item you were looking at kind of offended and hurt that your boyfriend didn't call you 'princess' or 'babygirl' like he always does.

"bro do you really need a rug that says 'merry christmas' on it"

he questions you as he walks over looking at the rug you were holding in your hands, matt slightly noticing the matching chrome silver nails you and him got yesterday as they shimmered in the warm lighting in the store. Although you couldn't even focus on the question matt asked you still hurt that he had yet to call you what you know he always calls you.

"what"

matt questions as you are just staring at him with a confused and hurt emotion clearly visible across you face.

"matt seriously im not a bro or dude"

you whine out slightly tugging the rug out of his shared grasp and setting it back where you picked it up from on the shelf and beginning to walk into the next aisle being the candles and quite frankly you needed a new one so this was a necessary and valid purchase if you got one.

matt ask you again as you slowly turn to him setting the candle down tucking some hair behind you ear.

you softly reply hurt evident in your voice.

matt suggest holding up the chocolate chip cookie bag as you two moved into the premade cookie aisle.

You guys have now made it to day 24 which was Christmas eve and you Matt and his brothers and their partners decided to walk and look at the Christmas lights.

You knew Chris' girlfriend extremely well just because she is your best friend you laugh every time as you see how happy she is with Chris considering she was in complete denial about even liking him in the first place.

There's something about what's going on with the Triangle that makes me think people treat Buck as a Love Interest and not a MC because of the way the show frames him sometimes.

Like he was Abby's LI in season 1 - yes, he had development (a lot of it, but it was largely focused on her - he still credits her for his choice to change).

In season 2, they give him a sister (whose own storyline mainly focused on Doug and Chimney, they barely talk about Maddie crashing into his life after 3 years of silence and only focus on the sibling relationship when Doug attacks). Meanwhile Bucks out there bringing Carla to Eddie, attending Santa visits and boosting Eddie the entire time... Hes a little like Eddie's potential love interest.

This continues in S3 when he should be focusing on himself to get better and heal and address those abandonment issues he has and yet, it's all about Eddie feeling betrayed that his friend of barely a year couldn't talk to him for a couple of weeks. Like he didn't need Buck before the lawsuit yet somehow it was a big deal during and after... He apologized a billion times, Eddie never apologized.

And now with Tommy. People act like Bucks the one in the wrong when Tommy led him on. He never planned to be more than casual. He deliberately didn't try to get close to him, held him at a distance because he knew he was going to break up with him.

Like Buddies and Bucktommies both treat Buck as a LI. Like his bisexuality supported Eddie's coming out or Tommy get a family again with the 118.

And I think, despite having his own storylines and being an MC, the show kind of treats him that way too. Want drama? Give it to Buck, but don't spend too long dealing with it.

I mean, his first long term adult GF ghosts him, his sister comes back but even at Christmas only wants Chim and not her brother, he helps out the single dad but then he's expected to put C&E first even though he got his leg crushed, had a PE and then forced to babysit leading him to almost die in tsunami... All he wants is to not be left behind and be treated differently and everyone continues to prove he's all alone (Red showed that). Like wow.

Anyway, as an actual fan of Buck,.it really sucks that I get into the show and realize he's a LI to shippers. A prop whose feelings don't actually matter to them. It's sad.

I think Buck as a whole is very much a people pleaser. He gets happiness from making sure the people around him are happy and content even if that's at his own expense, which sucks. I feel your frustration for sure, and you bring up a lot of good points. I think what makes it sting even more is that Buck consistently gives so much of himself to others—Abby, Maddie, Eddie, and now Tommy—but rarely gets that same depth of emotional investment back from the narrative. The show gives him big emotional beats, but then kind of skips over the aftermath or redirects it to support someone else's development.

The Tommy situation is another example. People keep focusing on Buck’s feelings as if they’re a complication rather than valid. He was vulnerable, and yet he’s the one getting flak for wanting more while Tommy was always planning to walk away and never fully committed himself to Buck. He thought Buck wasn't ready and made the decision for him.

You're right—it does feel like he’s often treated as a narrative tool to serve other arcs. Even when something huge happens to him, like the tsunami or the coma, the fallout isn’t really about him. It’s about how others respond or grow from it.

Buck is a main character with his own arc, trauma, and growth, but sometimes it does feel like the narrative and fandom both frame him more like a Love Interest than a fully fleshed-out protagonist.

Y'all can we take a minute to talk about how awful they wrote Cody to be in Suite Life on Deck.

I'm saying this as a former Cody Girl:

CODY AIN'T SHIT

Exhibit A: Personality

In the OG show, they show Cody having various interests, one being sports, like Zack. He wasn't as good at them or as knowledgeable about them as Zack, but he still took an interest in watching and even playing sports.

They BOTH liked playing video games. They BOTH liked riding bikes. They BOTH liked girls and trying to get their attention. Sure, Cody was also great at school and very book smart, but it didn't consume him.

On Deck, Cody seems to know little to nothing about sports and has no interest in them at all. In fact, he seems to have no interest in anything that isn't strictly educational. Which brings me to my next point...

Exhibit B: Cody's lack of shenanigans.

In the OG show, Zack and Cody typically engaged in various shenanigans TOGETHER.

Wanted free bikes? Zack trains Cody to win a teen pageant. Suspect one of the rooms is haunted? Gather their friends to perform a seance. Suspect a guest of conning their mom and their friends? Spy on him and plant traps to catch him. Needed some extra money AND wanted to impress a crush? Rented out London's Suite while she was out of town.

Even Cody gets into his own shenanigans BY HIMSELF. Remember the episode where he moved into a linen closet because he got annoyed sharing a room with Zack?

Do y'all see that kind of energy from him On Deck? NO.

Well maybe in the first season, but for the most part, not really.

Most hijinks Cody finds himself in on deck, he does not take part in as willingly as he did at the hotel. Mr. Mosbey doesn't even blame Cody for anything that goes wrong on the boat! At the hotel, mosbey always came for "the boys", "you two", "the twins", etc. On Deck, he mainly goes after Zack. The only time I remember him being upset with Cody is when they both wear some "traditional" outfits to a party where everyone else is in black tie.

The adults on the show only seem to be upset with Cody when he's being a know-it-all and correcting the adults around him, or being a very pushy perfect student. Like when he and Bailey refused to take part in the senior ditch day so they made Ms Tutwiler stay with them in the classroom and only teach to them.

And when Cody DOES actually take part in any pranks or hijinks in On Deck, half the time it feels out of character for him. Like when he joined in on the prank on Mosbey that resulted in prom getting cancelled. It just doesn't make sense with the direction they took Cody's character in that he would join in on a prank that endangered Mosbey. He spends so much of On Deck sucking up to authority and teachers and never doing anything remotely wrong, to that. Sure, it's Mosbey, and Cody and Mosbey have history, but still it felt off in On Deck.

Exhibit C: Cody's treatment of women

Y'all remember this iconic line from the OG?

Yeah. A few years later, that kid's gonna become a massive incel and write a "play" demonizing his exgf and killing her off at the end.

In both versions of the show, they made Zack to be the "lady's man" and Cody was the one who had a harder time with girls. Even though Cody had his fair share of girlfriends during both shows. Two main ones we're gonna look at: Barbara and Bailey.

If y'all don't remember, Barbara was Cody's crush/friend/gf for a decent amount of the original run for Suite Life. Here's a quick little blip of a scene with them:

This is probably the beginning of the end for Cody. Sure by the end of the episode, he snaps out of it and accepts Barbara being stronger, and it's never really mentioned again. If you ignore this episode, Cody appears to view Barbara as an equal for a majority of their time together. And they appeared to mention a fairly amicable breakup between them once On Deck aired.

Now let's look at Cody and Bailey. On paper they seem perfect together. Both top of their class, type A personalities, straight A students. Cody was head over heels for her from the start, and when Bailey finally reciprocated those feelings all seemed well. Then the Paris incident.

But let's ignore the Paris incident for a minute. Cody was ALWAYS threatened by Bailey. It shows consistently in the show. They're always fighting to be top of the class. Well, Cody's fighting. Bailey just does it.

Let's look at when the gang gets lost at sea. London, Woody, and Zack all agree that Bailey should be captain and in charge of getting them back home, much to Cody's disapproval. When everyone goes to sleep, Cody changes course behind everyone's back because he can't handle being ignored and not being the leader. When they're on the island, Cody starts sulking because Bailey was angry that he undermined her, yet saw no reason to apologize to her.

And then with the finale, when Cody gets rejected from Yale. While Cody is wallowing in misery, he then remembers Bailey also applied. His immediate thought? If HE didn't get in, there was no way Bailey got in, right? Wrong. Bailey got accepted. Further pushing Cody into misery. Not only was he rejected from his dream school, but his girlfriend WAS accepted and HE thought he deserved admission more than she did.

Cody had a desperate need to be the smartest person in the room, and Bailey challenged him on that. Unlike Barbara, who was also a very intelligent character, Cody didn't seem to view her as equally as he viewed Barbara. Cody thought he was better than her. And when they broke up it struck a chord with him. He couldn't let the breakup, or Bailey go. The nail in the coffin for him should've been the play. After humiliating her like that, Bailey, definitely should've seen the writing on the wall that Cody did not respect her.

Conclusion

There's a lot that I don't like very much about Suite Life on Deck. The worst thing is the general flanderization of all the characters, but with Cody, it just feels like it's on another level, like they're not even the same person. Z&C Zack and On Deck Zack, okay makes sense how we got here, even London somehow losing more braincells in On Deck feels more in character than whatever tf they did with Cody.

I have been WAITING for someone to ask me about Zigfried von Schroeder so let's fucking goooooooooo

It's been a minute since I've watched the Zigfried season which I actually do like to watch. The other duelists are even more gimmicky and useless than ever BUT i love kaiba land and we get to see lots of kaiba land america, i think zigfried is a really fun low stakes villain, and you get to see seto kaiba act wild in a low stakes way, and one of my favorite parts is yugi sitting in the stands not planning to duel and being told he's going to have to, so it's a fun breather season in between a kind of intense waking the dragons and final millennial duel. my sub watching hasn't reached this season yet, so be aware i mainly watch the dub.

SO zigfried von schroeder. what's his deal?

zigfried, first and foremost to myself, is pathetic. i love that about him. he's seto kaiba with no redeeming characteristics. he doesn't love his brother, he can't win, and while i need to remember he does successfully hack kaiba corp and cause some chaos, but the truth is seto doesn't even really remember him. zigfried sees himself as seto's rival, sees himself as right and just in his battle, but the truth is seto kaiba is just more popular and cooler than he is, and seto only remembers his bad fashion sense. amazing. perfecto.

usually when i write zigfried, he is cut off from his family's money due to his constant failure, meaning he's even more driven to chase seto's coat tails, and even more useless at doing it. zigfried is such a good parallel to seto intentionally, they are clearly foils to each other, but one place i really like to explore is their relationship to pegasus. i've mentioned before i think before pegasus was seto's main villain, he was probably his hero, and i also think it's obvious zigfried styled himself with pegasus' influence, and in fact they both bring forth their similar technology at the same time, meaning they probably had similar ideas for their career in relation to pegasus. i think there's a lot to break down in that relationship web, especially with zigfried chasing daddy's approval, and seto being decidedly against any paternal influence.

and of course, zigfried sucks cock. to me, he's gay as the day is long, very into humiliation and kink, very active in the kink scene and into some extreme stuff. there are things i'm not personally into so i don't know how often i would write it, but there are character truths and i am merely their narrator. i can't track down a small fic i did kind of as a relationship examination of zigfried and marik of all people, so i'll have to edit and post it to ao3 for folks to read. however i do have a main continuity seto/zigfried (which i refer to as hackshipping instead of its, ahem, more problematic moniker) fic that features more degradation if you're interested. thanks to my gf's au that i write fanfiction just for them, i got sort of into the idea of zigfried craving seto literally killing him, so there is a streak of violence to their relationship. i know i'm kaijou on main (and i have considered a few seto/joey/zigfried ideas, which is kind of what worst kids is for) but to be honest a lot of the degradation kink i see people respond to for kaijou i reserve more for seto/zigfried.

my biggest question about zigfried is kind of central to his plot. he and seto had developed the same technology at the same time, but seto got there first. zigfried assumes seto stole from him, which i'm going to assume because seto is a main character in a show about friendship, that didn't happen, and i also don't think seto would steal from someone else, in my head that's a form of "cheating", which seto is opposed to, but also the show never goes out of its way to be like well that didn't happen. so sometimes i watch the season like, okay but did he? (he didn't, but it's fun to play pretend)

bonus: i have a trans headcanon for mokuba where she starts to transition as a teen, and i actually like to put her and leon in the same space, especially as they get older. they have a lot in common as well and i think they could talk about a lot of things. sometimes i imagine a t4t wedding between mokuba/leon where they have to navigate their relationships with their brothers, who are blowing up the wedding venue to get back at each other. maybe one day i'll play around with that.

Hmm, thoughts, i have a lot of thoughts about Mamo, but at the same time, not as many as others would think.

I like him, i think most people who follow my blog know this. He’s a very nice addition to the cast despite his many.. problems.

I’ll first address the elephant in the room.. he should not be a part of the main cast fighting along the girls.

Sorry, I know some people love that for him, but for me it just doesn’t work and he doesn’t organically fit in the story after season 1. He’s basically stringed along to be just the damsel in destress to motivate Usagi in most cases and that’s not compelling for me or is a good turn for his character.(there’s nothing there, there’s no character for me to care about. Just pretty guy looks pretty, wow, I’m compelled)

He should’ve been mostly done after season 1. After that he should’ve been a supporting character helping Usagi as a regular guy trying to go back to his regular life while being a loving and supportive boyfriend to Usagi. (It’s also such a missed opportunity with this dynamic that you NEVER see. A female superhero and his bf being the normal guy trying his best to keep up with wtf is going on with his gf and magic beings while also studying for his diploma, living the life of a regular guy trying to make it through school and his job and trying his best to also be a nice and helpful person to his gf’s team/best friends. Most of whom don’t have the highest opinion of him lol).

It’s genuinely what he deserves, he doesn’t need to be stringed along this journey as a puppy for Usagi to be chase after. LET THE MAN GET HIS HUMAN LIFE BACK TOGETHER!! (And maybe some therapy) His whole existence is not just Usagi/moon romance/future bullshit, he’s his own person ffs.

Sigh.. ok with that out the way I’ve already talked about my problems with the “miracle romance” here (tldr, I wanna keep it I like it, just workshopping needed).

Now, is there a way I could possibly organically integrate him into the story as an equal and distinct identity to Usagi.. yes.. do I want to? Not really.

In short I don’t really have a ton of interest in exploring that outside of the first season. That’s where his character gets introduced, where he has the most connections, with Serenity and with the 4 kings and Beryl, that’s where his character peaks and where he deserves to have his “happy ending”. My story is mostly centered around the bond around the girls and the world around them, not romance (even tho there are moments of it, yes, it’s not mainly a romance unlike the manga). Also trying to fit him without having the girls take an active step back is really difficult and has never been executed right.

In the manga him and Usagi are the main characters and in the anime everyone is written to be useless til he shows up. You basically have to scale down everyone else for him to shine and I don’t vibe with that.

Also also, in my version he has no Crystal. People have no Crystals, just the senshi. having a Crystal in you is a strictly senshi thing, him having one never made sense to me (if you like it, good for u, I don’t care for it, idc if it’s explained in canon). So he’s just a regular guy, he’s a smart reincarnated regular guy who committed a bunch of heists and some breaking and entering, but like.. tf he gonna do against a senshi.

TLDR: I like Mamo. Mamo is good, good character, but scale him down to supporting cast and make him a more supportive boyfriend to Usagi and honestly give him more of his own person outside of his reincarnation or future self.

ALSO SMALL THING BUT actually have him interact with the girls in some way, with different and fun levels of chemistry. Like him being awkward cause he knows both him and them want the best for Usagi, but like Rei.. is Rei, Mako’s pissed at him for being a dirty thief, Mina just fucks with him 24/7 and Ami, idk I guess Ami does kind of vibe with him, but like, they are both awkward nerds. I wanna see that!

DRS3 Initial Thoughts

I wrote most of these as I was watching DRS3 for the first time/immediately after — some of them are praise, others complaints, others just observations of things that surprised/interested me. Opinions are very much subject to change upon rewatch/thinking about the season for longer. Will probably write some longer posts on subjects I have stuff to say about.

Episode 1 • Zane calls PIXAL smartest and most attractive member of the team and then Frak says that’s Sora??? • Dorama prismatic blade connection • Gonna be honest, easily the worst season premiere

Episode 2 • ONI????? • I love Powerlid • Second episode was fun, but what happened to the Forbidden Five? Also these episodes are happening one after another with no defining theme (like S2P2)

Episode 3 • Ras’s world was destroyed? Also is he actually gonna die? • He had one of the prismatic blades???? • How has Wyldfyre been in the monastery and not learned about video games • MORRO!!!! also why does he look like this • The gaming stuff is so much filler omg please can we get the plot moving • Okay the Arin and Morro stuff was cool although I don’t think he ever mentioned his name

Thoughts on the first 3 episodes • Are they setting up Frak and Sora to be together? Not a fan but we’ll see • Searching for Arin and for Jay has been filler. Particularly the Jay part because literally nothing has happened for our characters, at least the Arin stuff gave us a new Sora-Frak dynamic. • Also - the main story stuff that should be happening isn’t. Isn’t the Ras vs Lloyd thing about their different teaching styles and worldviews? What is Lloyd teaching? Ras is just repeating platitudes and saying “don’t think about the Ninja be more violent” which is a barely articulate worldview. Also if he hates the Ninja for not “saving his world” I will throw something. This is so overdone — at least Harumi did it well • Arin and Ras is interesting and the stuff with Morro was cool, but mainly just fan service. Good lore on the Departed Realm. So what has happened to Wu? • The Forbidden Five barely have a presence in these episodes. Compared to Imperium or the Wolf Masks in S1P1 or S2P1, they barely exist. This feels more like a Part 2 to S2P2 • I’m really not sure what they’re setting up for our major characters beyond Arin • The dialogue problem may have gotten worse. So much repetition and saying things that could easily be shown • Overall, easily the second worst group of 3 first episodes (S1P2 still takes that, but at least that was funny and was doing stuff with our characters).

Episode 4 • Home reference?? • Also this intro is great • First realm or Wyldness monastery? • Also they removed Cole from the plot so we still don’t know where he went • PIXAL IS BACK • Also what’s with everyone having prismatic blades • Frak isn’t mentioned by Zane as a new ninja, interesting • Where’s the new music for this season? Thoughts on episodes 4-6 • Definitely better than the first 3 now that things are happening. Still lacking the character stories that should be happening (outside of Arin). • Glad to see PIXAL again • Arin’s parents being dead is actually crazy for this show. Like it makes sense sure but I didn’t think Ninjago would go there • Zarkt is a joke. none of the forbidden five have been that intimidating • Sora mentioned something being up with Lloyd’s spinjitzu back in episode 1. Something similar happened with Zane (can he do Spinjitzu with his new body now?) Is this a plot point? What’s going on here • Liked seeing Arrakore again, although three rules from Skybound (Djinns have to grant wishes they hear, you can’t wish to harm others, and Djinns can only grant 3 wishes to people) are totally broken (unless turning someone’s bones to rubber or whatever Nya wished for isn’t harmful). • 3 episodes have been actually themed — the Morro episode, the Pixane episode, episode 5-ish (Arin’s parents are dead), and the Djinjago episode

Episode 9 • Saying “I have to believe he had a good reason” to someone who lost their parents because of that person’s actions is nuts. Lloyd is prob right but NOT the right thing to say • Zane how’d you know Drix’s names • So Kur outright killed those randos in the van then • Goathickey • Very solid convo between Arin and Sora • Yeah Lloyd will never carry Source Dragon energy again. definitely • Oh the spinjitzu thing is tied to the first realm. they were there before and it didn’t happen but ok maybe it’s a post merge thing • Nokt vs Ras?! ok nvm Ras just lost offscreen • Classic betrayal. never saw this coming. Episode 10 • Goatfyre • I was about to write “is Cole gonna come back” but then he made an appearance yay • It might be the end of the world but Jay needs his paycheck • Lloyd I’d stay away from this guy • Frak you need a new uniform • This is the first time PIXAL has spoken in several episodes • HE REAPED LLOYDS SOUL • WHAT • LLOYD • WHAT • Ras you’d better call your master or smth • Uh if those souls move on what happens to Lloyd • Nvm they weren’t gonna kill a main character what was I thinking • Kinda assumed Thunderfang or the Five would stay around so idk what happens in Part 2 • SORA • Still the same Jay • Ras made a fake grave? • GHOST THUNDERFANG • HE ATE MORRO

Thoughts on the final four episodes/season as a whole • They really pulled it together in the end. • Interested to see where they go with Arin and Sora with Ras. Arin’s parents being alive massively undercuts the emotional weight of much of the season and Arin working with Ras though. Kinda expected it but it’s disappointing and genuinely drags the rest of the season down • Very little was done with PIXAL. The cast is too large, and that’s even with Cole being absent the whole time. Granted the Pixane stuff we got was very good • Zane was characterized very well • Very little was done to further any character not named Arin, outside of some individual scenes. Everyone is characterized well it’s just that nothing really happens until some big character scenes (which are done very well, Arin and Sora are great together. Episode 8 in particular but really all of 8-10) • If they resolve everything with Arin and Lloyd by Jay revealing that Arin’s parents are alive, that would be really disappointing. Let him go off on his own! • Was the problem with Lloyd’s teachings that Arin was just a bad student? Ras taught Arin a bit but not that much, and Arin says this in E9 (Sora rejects this tho). So how does this plotline resolve in a satisfying way? • Sora and Arin reuniting makes sense. Maybe it was a little too easy but honestly the Sora lie is def the kind of thing you get mad about but after a bit of thinking you realize it was overblown • Arin learned Ras’s techniques were wrong and used his friendship to do object spinjitzu, but his spinjitzu still had fhe red marks of shatterspin/Ras’s teachings • Forbidden Five more like—eh they’re such losers they don’t even deserve a demeaning nickname • What happened to Jordana • Why did Wu cause the Merge • Who is Ras’s master • What happened to Ras’s world • Where did Cole go back in S1 • Frak called Sora attractive in S3E1. nothing is done with this. what is happening. also they were beefing hard for much of the early season and then just stop later on. Frak apologies to Sora in E2 but they continued bickering after that so what happened there. you might think that this is a standard love trope but literally nothing happens to progress their dynamic. It’s all good character writing I just wish I knew if it was going somewhere. also doubt Sora is into Frak but you never know? could be cute but I’m withholding judgement. • Why was there so little new music? • Zane isn’t gonna be big forever right?

Overall, this was a decent entry, but nothing too special.

OKAY OKAY UH REAL QUICK

This post is mainly about the Her Wish Christmas Special. Whether it’s canon or not, it’s obvious it takes after season 6 events and possibly season 7, whenever Aaron gets his memory back. We see MCD Alina visit the two of them, and this is obviously in the future.

However in s6, ep 11, Alina mentions she was able to visit MS Aphmau (in her wish) and then learned of Aphmau’s fate and decided to help her in some way by giving up part of her life to resurrect her. But how is it possible that Alina was able to meet the MS Aphmau (post s6) in the “happy” timeline if the events/Irene’s choice didn’t happen yet? Alina is 15 when HW happens and is an adult in s6. Irene giving Alina’s life to Aphmau affected the timeline no matter what, and without Aphmau being revived, NONE of the other things would happen in Her Wish.

Unless this is some weird time paradox where it was written as fate and Aphmau was destined to live happily ever after, I don’t understand how this lines up? But besides that, let’s say it’s a time paradox thingy, I have a guess of where Her Wish could fit into the MS timeline. Right between season7 and season 8.

OKAY LETS THINK. One of the things that stands out to me the most is the awkwardness between Slyvanna and Aphmau and then Aaron not remembering Dante.

in my analysis post (WHICH WILL COME OUT I SWEAR), I mention that I believe Aphmau will heal Aaron with her powers. She’ll be able to fix but not completely restore most of his memory, which is why when Aaron opens the door for Dante, he doesn’t remember him closely. As for Aph and her mom, you would think that if Her Wish was the VERY END of the MS Timeline, their relationship would be at least fixed or not awkward. If s7 takes place right after s6 and Aphmau focuses on healing Aaron, there might not be much time to talk between Aph and her mom.

This could also tie into s8 being called “One Last Time” (there’s a connection confirmed by Jess and Jason in Write it Out’s vidcon experience) as well as the snowy mountains. S4 took place on Bunny Hill in the winter (around February) and I think the s8 teaser takes place in a similar area. Nevertheless, they are both placed in the winter time, right after a Christmas/News Years Special.

ALSO WE DONT SEE TRAVIS AT ALL WHICH COULD MEAN: Travis is held back by the GF (especially because he is a Valkrum and directly was possessed by the demon warlock) meaning no content in s7 OR HE DIES SO…

Anyways this is why if Alina is wolf girl for season 8, Her Wish can’t be placed at the end of the Mystreet Timeline because Aphmau would definitely recognize her and it can’t really be Alina if she was younger because Her Wish is her first time meeting MS Aph and Aaron. If I’m right about HW being placed between s7 and s8, Aph could recognize it being Alina but younger (????) but still, I’d like to think this a new entity to the MS realm, one that isn’t MCD related because boy we got a lot of MCD stuff.

BUT ALSO IN REWATCHING VOID PARADOX, VP APHMAU IS LIKE A NANNY/MOM TO THIS TEENAGE KID SO IDK IF ITS HER MAN 💔

PR Perception & Consequences: Luke Newton

[This analysis is from the perspective of a lover of story with a Masters in Publishing & Writing, with ties to a publicist with 20+ years experience.]

I didn't watch Bridgerton until a while after s2 came out. Partly because I hesitate with new shows and mainly because I hate waiting years between seasons.

I LOVE Derry Girls because it clicks with my mainly Irish family. So, I knew who Nicola was as Clare before watching Bridgerton, but nothing else.

That leads into the LN assumptions.

From what I can tell as a general viewer of the show and Social Media, he came from musical theater and Disney stuff in the UK before landing the Colin role in his mid 20's.

During this time, aka 2019/2020-2023, LN had a gf named Jade for that whole time.

Media reported that they'd broken up some time at the end of filming in June 2023. Then, there is some reports saying he got with his current partner, mere months later in at least 8/23 if not sooner. (Nic is known for keeping her even longterm relationships a secret, but Luke's previous gf would post a few pics and vids here and there.)

This is where PR should've started to protect his image before the first premiere and press tour even happened.

At this point, late 2023, Luke has not posted even a hint of his supposed app gf anywhere. Then he leaves for a 6-month world tour with his friend, of 5 years that he has easy chemistry with, but now they both are not with longtime partners.

LN leaned into the romantic press interviews with his friend because he was comfortable with her and it promoted the show.

Here's where his friends as PR shows dumbass judgment.

I believe I saw something about the app gf attending the 1st premier in London, before the tour, but it wasn't paparazzi-d. Whereas, after the WT, the 1st LN news was pap photos with this girl at the after party 2nd half premier. Basically, PURPOSEFULLY taking the romance illusion away from the couple that the actors built for the months leading up to this.

Bad PR leads off from here: self-described introvert Luke goes to Milan with 'gf',' fair enough it's fashion week. But, THEN he's BACK in Italy on "holiday." Getting paparazzi pics of him they didn't even get on his World Press Tour. Then possibly in Greece, continuing some vacation? So much of this shit makes zero sense both PR-wise and normal person-wise.

For example of good PR capitalizing on lead roles: Nicola is on a movie rn, she's part of A-list representation, she's possibly a future bond girl. Johnny Bailey was shooting a drama, Wicked, and his Bridgerton cameos at the same time. Simone is starring in a motion picture out soon.

The rumors of LN's friend Rory running his socials is horrible because: 1) Rory seems like a douchebag who wants more shirtless pictures of himself on his non-famous account than of his gf. 2) He puts Luke's skinny "similar to his gf" wannabe influencer gf on his instagram without hyping up any on Luke's actual work and projects.

This all gives off the vibe of this friend being resentful, taking advantage of Luke breaking up with his longterm gf and deciding to get more built for the show, and convincing him he needs the "hot rebound" for himself and image. As always, that gross straight man is wrong. All his friends say he's so sweet and quiet and genuine.

How I perceive him from his own press: Had a supportive, longterm gf who was also an aspiring actor as they were both coming up in their early 20's. LN started working out so much to get lean & abs to feel on-par with the other Bridgerton guys. Him and his gf grew apart, maybe even felt resentment, while LN was shooting so long for BS3. Shooting raps.

This is the overall perception that makes me and I think many others so mad: Luke had a sweet, curvy, talented gf for 4 years. And he was a thicker tall guy, not fat, not skinny, not ripped but amazingly curvy in the male way that's rare. He got all built for Bridgerton when Nic refused cuz it isn't necessary for the characters. And after all this real-life and on-screen romance with a mid-size woman, after becoming a "muscly man," he shows up with a stick-figure wanna be dance influencer.

His actions of allowing his pr/friend to paint him as if he gets "hot women" now that he's "desirable" is what makes me fucking sick about the perception of him and I think this is why so many Bridgerton fans in the SM sphere got the ick.

I recently binged the recruit s1, wow I didnt expect it to be as enjoyable as it was. I agree with the post you made eons ago lol- Hannah is so boring everything felt so forced. I didnt understand the whole owen is so selfish he destroys people when he wasnt the one bringing them into his business unless he really needed to but hannah was voluntarily inserting herself into the situation. Disappointing to see not much about the show on here, tt or even tiktok like ive unexpectedly become obsessed with max- I need to know everything about her lore. Like she mustve been a teen mom, why did she kill her husband, why did she want to go back to Russia etc. Also her scary gf x sunshine loser bf dynamic with owen really made the show so watchable- they're so golden retriever x black cat coded too. Fully believe she bought owen a watch as a kind gesture not just so she could track him. The angst of him being the first person she can trust and starting to open up to him only for him to walk away. Also hes honest with her too- about why he became a lawyer- which lbr he isnt with Hannah. Thinking about how he killed for max and she probably thought if it came down to it he wouldnt cause he wouldnt have the guts and it would have implications with the CIA 😫 Agh im so annoyed about the ending- max went through all of that to just die like that?! I flew through s2 mainly cause I fast forward a lot of it and yeah. Watching owen in s2 really highlighted how much max acc helped him navigate the crazy stuff he had to deal with. Another eye roll inducing hannah plot this season I'm afraid. Sorry to word vomit in your inbox again (last time I did that was about declan cameron who I'm missing dearly) you have great taste in ships btw

I haven't watched the new season yet and tbh, I've been reluctant to watch it because Max is not in it. She made it so much more interesting to me. There was so much more to explore in her background and a lot of unanswered questions. I'm very disappointed, to say the least 😞

▪︎We also established that Raian is an Introvert mostly, so connecting with ppl other than those who prepare his missions at the back office isn't a habit of his.

▪︎ Raian, only considered one person to connect with and that was Ohma and still is. Not out of appreciation per se, but out of inner respect and as a kure, it runs in their tradition to respect strong challenging opponents.

▪︎Raian and Ohma, are mostly training together, yes they do have side conversations, tease each other. Raian mainly pick at Ohma and give him hard time.

▪︎ Will Raian ever be loyal to Ohma ? the answer is yes and no.

▪︎ Raian is an assassin from a ruthless clan his loyalty will always be to the clan #1 any one else can die or go to hell he couldn't care less.

▪︎With Ohma, apparently his only acquaintance, he will consider being there for if needed or if he felt its needed. Anything related to destroying count him in.

▪︎ Raian is possessive and the jealous type, so If ohma has another group of ppl he would hang out with or a GF , Raian will hate it and will make sure he'll speak filthy about them, make trouble and cause inconvenience to anyone . That was few years back

▪︎ Raian now, has a huge responsibility on his shoulder that even his friendship with Ohma is on a stop-loss till he get his revenge.

▪︎ In Festival seasons, Raian would occasionally enjoy some Saki or beer pints with the clan , the firework, he's not a fun killer. Few years back he would had ended with fights after each and every celebration just for fun, now he is hardly ever seen socialising at all.

▪︎ Fusui his sister, she is probably the only one who has full access to him. Knows his moods and his where abouts, his missions and she does check on him every now and then. He sometimes answers with a ( F*ck off ) or keep her on read and send her the middle finger emoji , his way of telling her he's in an ok mood or doing fine.

▪︎ the time he didn't respond with 24hrs, Fusui gets worried. Listen guys, Raian is an Asshole we all know that but he's a rare treasure to the clan and he's a big ass stupid idiot trouble maker baby who might be going through hard time after grandpa got killed. I feel he's been in an inner conflict for some time now.

▪︎ Raian will either mature or becomes a nightmare unstoppable and unattainable.

▪︎ I Hear you asking about his parents: not sure but I think they dropped his case with his first ever kill. They don't hate him they just believe and certain that Raian is war God and they probably just like the rest of the clan members, know he'd destroy anyone who'd try to speak up or trade the Clan secrets or jeopardise their Safety.
