Patrick is a bit freaked out a first, as he’s ripped out of what is common for him. The norm. She’s isn’t pushing herself onto him, which sure not every chick does (some play hard to get) but even then there’s a bit being played. An end goal that is going to be reached, an extra long route to a trophy he knows he can obtain. He’s a dirty dog, he knows what he’s for. And yet even with all his experience he still doesn’t see what she’s trying to get at, doesn’t know why she won’t sleep with him and it fucking irks him.

Poor guy thinks it cause maybe he’s not trying hard enough? Or maybe he’s coming on to strong? He’s basically running back and forth trying to make something work, but every chance he tries it just flops.

He tries to be flirty casual. He pokes fun at her whenever he can, light hearted jokes that always force a heated blush on her cheeks. Though the jokes slowly turn to just full blown flirting, no longer really made out to tease her and she’s not even sure if it’s out of humour anymore.

So he decides to showcase his physical attributes more.

He invites her out to all his practices, a place where he can actually show off. He plays harder then what is needed, crushing whoever he’s practising with, which only makes whoever is it get pissed at him but he doesn’t really care. Whenever it’s particularly hot outside, he’ll take off his shirt and throw it off somewhere.

Makes him feel good whenever he sees her try to NOT look at his sweaty figure or his abs that look like there were crafted by the gods themselves

But it also. Doesn’t. Work. Doesn’t do SHIT. And it pisses him off cause like.. hello? He’s giving it his all and she seems to be liking it. He’s as soft as you’ll get from the duo, the ice to Patrick’s fire. He’s more chill about everything, less pushy and less flirty. He likes to make everything go slower.. but he can still nip at your heels.

He tries the slower route, figures that if the whole flirty act isn’t working for Patrick than it won’t work for him, so he tries something different. He tries to be a gentleman. Whenever he sees her carrying something he’ll immediately take it from her which always garners a bit of protest that he easily dismisses. He asks her about her day, active listens with small nods and “uh huh’s”. Whenever she tells that she’s been stressed lately, he immediately offers some support, asks if she needs a shoulder to cry on or a day to just hang out, which she happily agrees to. He pushes a bit, just to see how far he can get, when he asks if she needs a massage (wink wink) but she only responds with “mm, I’m okay. I’ll just book an appointment somewhere” and doesn’t even think twice to turn him down.

He plays the whole good guy act up to a ten, practically friend zones HIMSELF in hopes it’ll get him somewhere. Usually he would think such a thing is stupid, doesn’t think being a friend would ever be a good idea when it comes to wanting to be with a girl, but he’s quick to understand where exactly she’s coming from, because he was there too. Took him forever to actually lose his virginity, abit longer than Patrick took. The whole aspect was scary, something he didn’t know how to dip his toes into, not until Patrick helped out what that as well (just like the whole jerking off situation). It’s kinda what he thinks she needs, someone to just help ease the process, kinda show her the ropes? But even then he isn’t certain.

At some point by the act of pure fucking luck his plan works successfully and they grow really close, heck closer than her relationship with Patrick (which only upsets Patrick further). They grow to a point in their friendship where he can easily ask her views on sex and what she wants in a partnership, and it’s like he struck fucking gold because he finds out EXACTLY where the issue is.

She goes on to explain how she’s horrified of sex and basically how it’s weird to do such a thing. She isn’t exactly..

Opposed to it.. but isn’t thrilled by the idea. Even goes as far to theorise she could be asexual, but quickly drops that idea which intrigues him a bit. He burrows into more questions, tries to string out all her thoughts on the matter, really tries to understand.

“I don’t know, I’m just… scared? Scared it’ll go wrong.. or they’ll be too much.. or-“ he cuts her off before she can finish, “too much?”

They make eye contact then, first time since the subject was brought up, “yeah.. like.. well-“ she groans, “nevermind.”

He only smirks in response.

“Yeah.. I get what you’re saying,” he rasps out, smirk still in place as his eyes remain fixated on her.

If he notices her shift in her seat a bit he doesn’t bother to mention it. He doesn’t bother cause he’s unsure if it’s just her adjusting herself or.. something else?

“Pants are fucking itchy-“ his question is answered without him even asking, and his fantasy of what it could’ve been is quickly crumbled.

Even with the information he obtains after said conversation, he doesn’t get far either. Which should confuse him, but really doesn’t. She was willing to share but that doesn’t exactly mean a one way ticket to pound town. Art understands that, understands it’s a slow crawl much rather than a walk, but Patrick doesn’t.

Instead of trying himself, he takes whatever knowledge Art got and decides to use it as an instruction manual on what to do and what not to do.

It was so good...... until it wasn't 😭 Listen it starts out as a 6 or 7 out of 10 until it grows into a pure 10 out of 10 score for the Hidden Inventory & Shibuya Incident arcs ... and then it falls down a steep cliff right into a, in my generous opinion, 2 out of 10 score 😖 Post-Shibuya is so bad I can't even explain it bc it hurts too much to think about... I used to love this series so much and it turned into... this... It's heartbreaking. I only recommend JJK to you if you're aware that it's not that good and it's mostly carried by its battles rather than its plot or characters. And tbh the community is fun. I've had the time of my life when JJK was at its peak in summer '23 and even if the manga is ending in a few weeks, the anime is still ongoing for a few years at least, so there's that too if you care about that ❤

First Jack and Gracie met after the events of the first movie, BUT, technically, they met when Jack was still human. "What ?? How is it possible ??" And that's simply because Gracie reincarnated multiple times through time because she's a mermaid ! (I was like sixteen when I created her I feel like it's a necessary info I'll say more later about the lore) so when they met, they were Jackson and Purity Grace, in the 1700s something. Their trope would be Immortal x Reincarnated. They fell in love during this era but Purity Grace died a year before Jack in an arson with her entire family (I'm a cruel piece of trash i know hehe)

For the second (which is totally appropriate) She's 19 and he's 17 but she won't age any longer, I'm explaining: in this lore, mermaids has the possibility to reincarnated and grant wishes for the ones they want. When she was still a mermaid in the 1500s something she granted a lot of wishes because she loves humans, but her first love died and she was cursed by someone called The Wlaker after she refuse to help him : she is condemned to forget her name and die in the very place where she caused it, and everytime she will never exceed the twenties and will die in horrible pain. Which is what happened later, she's captured by colons, treated like a witch, she will be sprinkled with salt, which will take away her powers, and quartered in the public square. Now I'll try to go faster because it's getting long so then she reincarnated six times before Gracie and the more she reincarnated, the more she's unable to imagine or dreams things and every time, no matter how she looks Jack seemed to recognize her but not remember her, and it's the same for Gracie.

When Gabriel (one of her lives) who almost never had dreams, underwent several dangerous operations which caused his death. A divide was created in her discernment of reality and imagination and Gracie began to have hallucinations from Angela David, around the age of fifteen. Gracie's hallucinations are actually a mixture of memories from her past lives, dreams, nightmares and children's wishes intertwined in her mind. Because of her numerous reincarnations, Gracie is unable to dream when she sleeps nor discerns correctly the reality from the false. You paced around while you waited for your friends to arrive. Although Keeho said they understood, you were still anxious at what’d they really have to say.

You took a deep breath once you finally heard the door open, you had practiced what you were going to say over. As they all piled into your living room they each gave you a hug before sitting down wherever they decided.

“Okay so me and Jungwon are dating again uhm for around a week now? After support your local artists night he kinda just kept popping up everywhere and uh we kinda sorta hooked up at Jake and Sunoo’s party” You friends all just stared at you watching you explain yourself not really showing emotions which made you more scared.

“I promise we talked about everything before getting back together and we decided it’d be best if we didn’t tell anyone until we were for sure in a good place. That’s why I haven’t really been around anymore and i’m sorry.” You kept your head down and waited for someone else to speak but instead you feel arms wrapped around you.

You look up to see Lilly’s pink hair falling over your shoulder as she hugs you from the side, “I know he hurt you before Y/n and if you trust him then I trust you but don’t think i’ll warm up quickly!”

You both laugh a little and look to the boys with an expectant look with Keeho deciding to speak up first, “Like I said earlier, we understand why you hid it and never said anything but we did miss our friend so please tell him i’ll be sending you with custody papers.”

“Yeah we missed you a lot! Keeho made me hang out with that Soul kid a few times, he’s definitely something else”, Kai says getting up to join you and Lily in a group hug. You turn to Jiung very unsure of what he’ll say.

“You’re an adult and you can make your own decisions but if that doesn’t work out im still here for you. Just know I won’t be waiting around forever, Jiungs of high demand”, he says shrugging his shoulders but giving you a toothy grin. You burst up laughing at him leaving your other friends a little confused until they put it together, “AHA I KNEW YOU GUYS WERE FOOLING AROUND”, Keeho says slapping Jiung playfully. “Yeah imagine what it’s like rooming with Y/n, all I wanted was to rest from idol life but no”, Lily says rolling her eyes making you scoff.

“We never did it while you were here!?” “Yeah maybe you didn’t mean to but why do you think every time I come in I make a lot of noise?”, you groan and throw your face into your hands hearing the rest of the group laughing.

After the hangout was coming to an end you finally felt content. You no longer had to hide from your friends and neither did Jungwon, especially with Sunoo on your cases.

“So after all the info settled, how are you guys feeling?”, you ask picking up trash and dishes left around the apartment. “We still love you, unfortunately, and It’ll definitely get some getting used to but when we’re ready we’ll add him to a group chat.” Keeho says, the rest of the group agreeing and making you release a sigh of relief.

(this is a repost for my own archive, please scroll) The idea that SNW is created solely for the profit motive and that the snw writers and creators must just hate star trek is what i'm objecting to -- that is the framing I see come out of Charades. Everyone involved in SNW deeply loves star trek, and I object to that mentality in the fandom, that SNW is uniquely designed to anger fans, AND BE RIGHT WING of all things, when there is huge continuity in people making all these shows. These people were on picket lines all of last year. They are for workers rights. They are a queer, diverse cast. They know basic facts about star trek. They aren't just writing whatever Paramount is asking them to.

Other than the spapel bits, I love charades, it is one of my favorite episodes, for both the interesting implications I see it having on the text and the real world in terms of applicability (not direct analogy or allegory) and people do trash it in a very literal way. That is what i meant by charades-haters. I don't mean people that hate disco on "woke" grounds or what have you. Like, don't worry, im not lumping you in with right wing haters. Those people are all blocked on my feeds. It is fans on the fandom spaces I inhabit that don't like charades, and it's fine when its one episode out of ten to discuss, i just scroll by.

But since this is the ONLY bit of new snw content we have in almost a year, well I AM SAD nobody else is happy. And by nobody i don't mean dudebro haters. I mean mutuals and other people on my tag lists. It is my favorite show, im not defending it because Im coping or sucking up to it, I genuinely like the show, even charades. Im sad people aren't discussing the costuming. Im sad people aren't rejoicing in La'an and Ortegas being alive. I'm sad people aren't talking about Uhura and Chapel's hairstyles. Im sad nobody is excited to see scotty. I'm sad people aren't dissecting Ethan's peck's acting, which is phenomenal in that clip. I'm sad people aren't engaging in analysis and only engage in criticism. Because I want to do those things and I don't think anyone wants to listen at this point, and it feels lonely.

I think there is probably an explanation of what is going on, related to the kerkhovians -- im not saying I think it will be a bad episode with my other posts. But if it turns out to be a bad episode, i still think it will be a fun episode, so i don't think anything is lost -- i don't think canon gets ruined b/c i disagree with one episode's take. SDCC leaks are normally a fun day, and I was sad its not. I ended up posting mostly IWTV stuff b/c that is the only things on my feed.

THAT'S IT. IM NOT LUMPING ANYONE WHO HATES CHARADES WITH WOKE HATING DUDEBROS WHO HATE ON FUN. I'm just sad, and its similar to how i was sad when Charades came out.

Also, I'm probably always gonna love SNW. I doubt anything will change that. if you want to argue that im wrong for liking it or sad that other people don't like it, well its just sorta rude, sorry. I'm sure y'all like fun, when i said "charades haters" i meant "people that don't like charades" with no other implications. my posts already got no likes i don't need to be nagged that im wrong some more.

but im upset that im gonna be subjected to charades-hater takes from this website for about 12 months. Aliens have different biologies, neurologies, *AND* cultures, ok? Also, it's fun and star trek is ridiculous, just roll with it.

Also a+ casting on Roger Korby. And the new hairstyles?? Uhura and Chapel looking spectacular. And scotty was there! He's such a cutie patootie. All of them are so awesome i missed them so much. Love spock being so put upon. :D.

Other than Troy, how do you think the rest of the characters would react to transfem!Abed?

ooh okay interesting!! i have a feeling this is going to be a long post because i have five characters to go through so im gonna put a break in the text here.

the easiest one for me is britta. it's shown that she gets very supportive of causes she deems important, even if that leads to her feeling like she's on a higher moral ground or just getting insanely supportive to a degree that it's a little,, uncomfortable?? i feel like she'd have the right intentions but be a little ignorant of how to actually interact with trans people, like she is with her "lesbian" friend paige. i don't doubt that a similar thing would happen with abed when she first finds out, sort of flaunting that she has a trans friend. i also think a similar thing would happen with annie, with her wanting to know the best way to be supportive and britta not having the right idea of how to do that (like when she says it's homophobic to ask questions lol. or at least insinuates that idk it's been a while since i've seen that episode).

but also, abed is her friend and if she noticed she was making abed uncomfortable she wouldn't want that to be the case. i feel like i kinda trashed her in the paragraph above, but britta is a good friend and wants to support abed, yk? basically im saying i think there'd be a bit of a learning curve for britta.

okay next up is shirley! she's very obviously religious. we see her use this as a way to guilt people a lot and also to be homophobic lol. in my opinion this would definitely apply to abed being trans too. I can vividly picture a conversation about how you should accept the body god gave you lol. but i think abed's way of dealing with this would be to,, not! she's just gonna ignore shirley while the other members try and convince her to chillax. eventually, i think she'd have to/learn to accept it. she'd bake abed cookies with the trans flag on them in frosting and they'd mutually accept it as a peace treaty.

then there's jeff. i hope you don't mind if i briefly hijack this post with a transfem jeff winger but we all watched that episode of abed's birthday, so. i think jeff would be 100% chill with it (e.g. it's her life, not mine. why should i care?) but it would also force him to think on some things (e.g. you mean you're ALLOWED to be a different gender??).

let's do annie next! youngest of the group but still slightly out of touch, i think she'd be very accepting from the get-go. maybe a little confused, but i feel like she'd buy a lot of trans pride merch for abed. she just wants her to know she has a safe space, alright?

do i even have to mention the dean? he's excited to know another queer person and very happy that said queer person is in the study group.

uhm okay. so now we've arrived to pierce. y'all remember that one episode i mentioned earlier with britta's friend paige? and how after pierce reads his whole speech someone (jeff?) says that it was oddly supportive? iirc, of course. i think that applies here, too. sorta like pierce is trying so hard to be transphobic, he loops back around to supportive? a real "you'll never be a guy" vibe, if that makes sense to anyone else.
