“Whispered”
You see, there are a lot of different words to describe how someone speaks at a low volume. And some people are using them interchangeably?
Is it just me, or do different variants of “whispered” have different meanings?
Like “mumbled” is sort of drunkenly or on accident?
Or “muttered” is a sarcastic comment that you’d get in trouble for?
