favorite fic you wrote this year & least favorite fic you wrote this year

Thank you for the ask, dear! So, I thought about it a bit and for the second part, I don’t think I have a least favourite fic. Sure, there are some I like even better, but none that I don’t like at all. None where I am like “meh, yeah, there it is but I don’t like it”. Nope. I like them all. And that’s a super good thing now that I think about it.

As for the favourite - tough decision. As said above, I am in peace with all of them, but I think my favourite could be “Teil von dir”. It got super mixed feedback and people really started to fight with me content wise (moral and ethics questions), but I really have to say: this is the story I wanted to tell and I feel it and I am convinced it is exactly how I wanted it to be and while I support and am glad to got my readers thinking about the topics I wrote about in it, I totally stand behind what I wrote, even if people tend to disagree. (All very vague here but it’s a german story anyways so not really interesting for most here…)

It is a difficult story about a difficult topic but I really like it very much.

Abo vasectomy or water

The vasectomy fic is actually based on a prompt I got on tumblr like… many, many months ago. The prompt was “You’re getting a vasectomy. It’s final!” and somehow my mind turned that into a full-blown college AU that I need to continue one of these days… :’DDD

As for water, it was supposed to be for fictober but then it ended up being a lot bigger than a daily prompt and yeah… here’s the beginning:

Water,Eiji whispers wordlessly toward the heavens, but the heavens don’t listen.

Water,he prays when his knees give in and he falls on his face in the sand, but thedry ground offers no solace.

Water,he begs when he turns on his back and follows the scattered clouds sailingacross the sky.

Water,he thinks as his final thought, watching the birds as they appear and begin circlingabove him.

…So it starts with Ash finding Eiji almost dead at the edge of the desert -- then the story kind of blew up plot-wise and Mad Max style desert gangs got involved and I really need to write it all out someday :D

What’s the angstiest idea you’ve ever come up with?

If you’ve ever spoken to me about what I love reading/writing the most, it’s angst. My WIP It’s Just A Spark all came about because I wanted to write what I wanted to read, which was Yuri Plisetsky suffering and then coming out of it stronger and learning about himself along the way.

However, I’ve also written a short ficlet called Polaroid, which includes not just one! but! two! MDC’s! I actually really love Polaroid, I wrote it in about an hour, which is crazy to me now, and it’s the only thing I’ve ever written that’s ever made me cry when reading back on it. 

What’s the weirdest AU you’ve ever come up with?Well, @tootsonnewts and I discussed a pretty sick prison au idea about digging holes and filling holes (; but honestly? I haven’t come up with anything all that crazy! I have a Georgi Sex Emporium idea I want to write when I have time, and also a legit Inmate!Yuri Prison Guard!Beka idea that I’ve been obsessing over for a few weeks now, but that’s it!

Camp nano is a writing challenge by the same people as nanowrimo. Basically you set a world goal for the month of July and try to meet it.

Sweet! Okay, I’ve set up an account and a project. Now I just need to join a cabin ... or maybe I’ll just sleep in a one-person tent because I’m the new kid at camp.
