Sirius draped himself over Daisy with a grin, clinking her cup against his and taking a sip before trying to assemble his features into a more serious expression, though he wasn't sure how successful he was. "Daisy, I will pay you double to tattoo me right now."

DJ felt so deeply out of place at the Gala. The dress she was in was a beautiful piece picked out by Azra and Deliah because DJ truly had no idea what to wear. Formal wasn't her normal setting. Her onstage outfits were high glam, high camp and ridiculous. Her offstage looks were comfortable and simple. She never thought she'd have to dress up for an event like this because the idea that she would be a celebrity invited to a charity gala was a dream, not anything based in reality.
Now, she was here, awkwardly holding her glass and watching everyone dance. DJ wasn't sure if she she mingle with others or try her best to find the friends who had helped her feel like she belonged here. She was surprised with how people could just start conversations with her, regardless if they recognized her or not. But DJ's eyebrows raised when Daisy spoke to her. Similar genres, similar audiences. Now, an opportunity to network with peers in her same craft.
By the time DJ had realized Daisy was finished asking their question, DJ's eyes widened, realizing it was her turn to speak. "Yeah, no the food sucks because its for rich people who think expensive is a taste," she sputtered without thinking.
WHEN + WHERE: griffith observatory, evening. WHO: open <3
these type of events? not daisy's venue. she was happy to stand around with a glass of wine and smile for pictures, but all of the other elements of a gala made their skin crawl.
she barely knew these people, had nothing in common with them. and she was meant to...mingle? they weren't too sure. it certainly didn't help that she was so hungry. the food they had been handing around was nothing daisy would ever reach for herself. she'd tried to take a new bites of something but the second she had tasted mushroom, she'd spat it out into a napkin.
"so, uh...", daisy started abruptly, turning to the body beside her. "did you, ya'know - " daisy gave a half shrug, trying to think of how to phrase what she wanted to say, "- did you like the food? because i...did not." they held up their phone, giving an awkward smile. "i was gonna uber eats. did you want anything?"

"If that's what a hero is I'm glad I'm not one anymore." - Diego to Daisy
Daisy wasn’t buying what he was selling. Quirking an eyebrow, she silently walked around him and came to a stop behind him before pulling one of his knives free from his belt.
“You couldn’t stop if your life depended on it, Diego.” After all this time, she knew better by now. Where there was fire, Diego was running straight for it, knives flying as he did.

Daisy was unsure how to feel, the last time she had seen him, she was very high and drunk and a mess quite honestly. She would never deny that there was some feelings there between the two of them and she wouldn't deny that she hadn't thought about the moment they saw each other again. "Well that makes two of us." She said a little looking over at him as they were in her house.
She nodded as she looked around her living room before putting her jacket on, "Yeah that sounds...good. It was hard you know bringing up the past and talking about it again after so long but I think it was needed, at least it was for me." She said looking at him, "Well the only scene I saw was the one of Camilla..." She said before she looked at him before pulling his arm for a moment. "Billy.... I am so sorry about Camilla. I know how much you loved her, it had been so obvious even when I was a mess and wishing you could be with me. I am so sorry for you and for Julia." She said quietly looking at him, since being sober she has learnt how to be a better person and how to say the right things.
" A little bit of both?" Billy raised his eyebrow, a sad smile appearing at the mention of his daughter- remembering his late wife. " Just because we didn't talk in so long doesn't mean I didn't think about the band, or... our friendship." They were never really friends, yet he wasn't sure what to call their relationship without hurting or offending her.
" Uh, sure." He was relieved that she was set to go along with his plan. " Maybe then we can catch up and you can let me know what it was you said on camera.." He added, a small scoff leaving his lips. " You know Julia refused to let me see any of the documentary that she filmed, except of course a few scenes. Not yours though." He smiled. walking inside and finding a place to sit in the living room.

@soulstcne liked for a random starter
Daisy paused in the doorway, scanning the diner for a good spot. There was one in the farthest corner, close enough to the back door to make a quick escape if needed, but also far enough to remain inconspicious. The last thing she needed was someone recognizing her and making her presence known when she was on a mission.

"Knives are for real men; anything else is too quick. I like it slow and accurate." Diego winked at the woman before knocking back his water, a strange order in a bar. - for Daisy
“As long as it’s not too slow...” she trailed off purposely, grinning as she took a swig of her less healthy drink. It had been a hard day. No, it had been a hard couple of years, and Daisy really needed something stiffer than a glass of water.
“What do you do when you run out of knives though? Can’t just push a clip in and keep fighting.” Not that she always needed her guns though. Daisy always had her power to fall back on, but for Diego the knife-throwing WAS his power. What did he have to fall back on?

‘ you are not required to love your parents, or to even like them. ’ {from grant ward to daisy (in my default verse for him, he was always with shield and double-crossed Garrett)}
“Maybe not, but that sounds a little too simple to me,” she told him honestly, crossing her arms as she thought of the woman who had birthed her. It still hurt to a degree, knowing how Jiaying had used her and nearly killed her was a sore subject.
And she had gotten to know Cal when he was twisted and evil, although he hadn’t really been that man when he started out and she really did care about the man he truly was on the inside, the guy running that clinic now.
“I like Cal. He’s done some unforgivable things, but I-- I don’t know. I just do. --Now anyway.”
Daisy wouldn’t discuss this with just anyone, but she trusted Ward completely. He had been a real douche at first, but she liked how he trained this rookie into being an actually good SHIELD agent. That, and there was something between them she couldn’t deny. It went far beyond the superficial flirtations in between training sessions, and the brunette thought he felt it, too.

❛ You can bet if someone ordered a male body part for religious sacrifice, the world would be atheist ❜ – *snaps* – ❛ like that! ❜ {from Jemma Simmons to Daisy Johnson}

"I don’t know. I think it would depend on the body part,” Daisy countered, trying her best to keep a straight face.

“I do. Trust you.” (with Sif @ Daisy)
@memorystxrs | constantine meme
It felt like years since she’d seen Lady Sif. Still, she wasn’t any less impressed by the Asgardian as the first time they met. So, after another EPIC battle, Daisy had expected some shoulder patting and compliments. This however? This was more heartfelt and...just MORE than what she’d expected.
Smiling endearingly up at the other woman, she swallowed down her emotions and answered truthfully. “And I trust you. You are the best WARRIOR I’ve ever seen. Man or woman. And I know you have a GOOD heart. Anyone with a bit of sense would put their trust in you.” Even though Daisy used to wear her heart on her sleeve, she had become more cautious in that area. Still, it was easy to confide in Lady Sif. Also because the woman didn’t tend to stick around for long, so things were better said right away.

“You do not fear death.” (with Sif @ Daisy)
@memorystxrs | dark knight rises
“I’ve nearly died before--” she started, trying to shrug it off as if it wasn’t that big a deal. Even if it was the start to many horrible discoveries.
“But I’m not fearless... “ Meeting Lady Sif’s eyes, she gave her a small, sad smile. “I’m really, really scared when it’s the people I care about. I don’t want to lose them, y’know?”
Daisy had lost to much already in this lifetime. She didn’t know if she could go on without the only REAL family she had ever found. They might not be blood, but they were more her family than anyone else in this world.

"If you're here to ask me to charge your phone, don't; I'm not anyone's personal battery." - Lincoln to Daisy
“And I’m not going to rock your world. Not today anyway.” Catching herself, the brunette exhaled deeply as she lifted her phone again for him to see. “Just got an alert. It’s S.H.I.E.L.D. --I think my friends are in trouble.”

Daisy had been through a lot in her life since the band and her time had been reflective and she used that time to better herself because she was a mess when she was in the band and she couldn't keep living like that. Over the years she had been thinking about the band and she always wondered how everyone was and what they were up to.
Daisy had became stronger in herself and it was everything to her. When she had heard from Julia when they did the documentary that Camilla had died her heart broke in some way. Although it was Daisy Jones and the Six, Camilla was like a member of the band in the background and it didn't feel right without her.
She had been sitting at her piano playing a song that she had recently written because she never stopped writing even if she stopped being a recording artist herself. As she sat there she heard the door knock, she wasn't expecting anyone so she wasn't sure who could be there but she got up and walked to the door. As she opened the door she looked at the man in front of the door and the shock of seeing him was something. She didn't expect to see him again let alone at her door. "Billy... what are you doing here?" She asked quietly.
He waited a week before he made any concrete actions, Camila had only been dead 8 months, and yet he still felt like he owed her one more week before he could see Daisy. There was no doubt that he loved the mother of his child, but Daisy was something else altogether. A force he could never really get over.
Billy was nervous, to say the least, he had not seen Daisy in years and he had to muster up so much courage to come and see her. The curiosity about how her life was going now was enough fuel for him to be standing in front of her door right now. He happened to get the address from Julia.
He took a few seconds to himself and after a long breath, he knocked on the door. When Daisy didn't answer, he knocked again a little bit more loudly, enough to make his presence known but not enough to scare her. He wondered if it was his nervousness that was making it seem like he was desperate. @strawberrylaceswrites

Daisy stood there, she felt nervous but all in all she was happy to see him because it had been a long time and having someone from your past who saw you at your lowest when you were meant to be at your highest sometimes reminded her of how far she had come. She believed they would see each other again but she thought it might have been if they ever decided to do a reunion show.
She looked over at him, hearing his words it came as a shock, he had been thinking about her? His wife had recently passed and she wasn't stupid, she knew how much Billy loved her no matter what they had. "Thinking about me? Are you sure that just not because your daughter got you talking about the band? And our memories?" She asked looking over at him.
Daisy nodded, "Coffee? Yeah coffee sounds good, come in whilst I just get myself ready."
"Uh.." It was supposed to be easier, despite them drifting away, they weren't complete strangers. Yet, here he was unable to come up with a good answer. What was he doing there? what exactly was he expecting to happen? in that moment he wondered if he should walk away but he already walked away before, he needed to see this through this time.
" I've been thinking about you.." He admitted and hoped it didn't sound selfish, he really did wonder about her. " I was... wondering if maybe you wanted to go grab a coffee or something?" He could only hope that she felt the same way.
