"-can i ask you for a weird favor?" he finally asked the girl across from him. eddie trusted that feyza wouldn't laugh at him. after all, she was seat and kind of awkward...she would understand, right? "can i like...pretend to ask you out and you tell me whether or not i sound like a loser? i'm...thinking about asking someone out but i don't know how to do it and i don't want them to laugh at me. i really don't even if if i will but if i get the practice then i could use if if it ever comes up."

eddie he felt nauseous as he thought about facing donnie and genuinely asking him out. what if he ended up ruining their friendship? that is the absolute last thing that he wanted. donnie was such an important part of his life. taking a deep breath, she nodded in response. "so," he started, "we always have a good time together and i really have fun with you on halloween, so i was thinking...we could grab dinner or something...as more than friends...?" he cleared his throat, "do i sound totally lame?"

Feyza grinned. Those first dating butterflies brought were normal. She'd been there too. "You got this," she said. Dating was hard enough without overcomplicating it. "Just tell them how you really feel. Like 'I think you're cool and I'd love to grab coffee sometime.' Super casual, zero pressure." She wanted to give Eddie the same confidence boost her parents gave her. She totally understood those pre-dating jitters - she'd been there herself more times than she cared to count. "The most real thing you can do is be yourself. No need for fancy words or anything."

eddie had never done anything like this before or even considered asking anyone out after what happened to him back in high school. he trusted that donnie wouldn't laugh in his face if he did decide to make this move. smoothing over his shirt in a nervous manner, eyes focused on the friend in front of him. "okay," he cleared his throat, his cheeks turning a bright red color. "wait, uhm, how do you think i should start? should i just go for it or?"

A big smile broke out on her face when Eddie asked. Feyza learned how important kindness was from her parents, and she wanted to support her friend. As someone who knew what it was like to have those first-date jitters, she got it. “For sure! This is super cool that you want to practice,” she said, sitting up straight and giving him her full attention. She wanted to know who caught his eye but kept that thought to herself. Being nosy was never her style. Her mind went back to her own dating stories, but she stayed focused on being there for Eddie in this moment. “Go for it. You only live once unless you believe in reincarnation but let’s not talk about that.”
