He was late - he felt terrible, knowing she was waiting for him. It wasn't often that Sirius made actual, honest to god plans with his friends, and this was why. As much growing up as he'd done in the past few years, promptness would likely never be his strong suit.
He jogged the rest of the way down the street from the apparition point, slowing as he saw Mary outside and he put an apologetic half grin on his features. "I know, I know - I'm sorry. Let me make it up to you - I'll buy you a drink. Or dessert. Or a drink and dessert."
where: outside of the leaky cauldron who: open
Mary had left St. Mungo's that kept her on her feet the whole morning, completing her twelve hour shift at seven at night on a Friday night. She had plans to meet a friend for dinner and a drink. She made it to the pub, standing outside for her friend, feeling more comfortable going inside with them.
Her arms wrapped around her, she found herself pacing in a circle, not letting her mind fixate on how long it was taking them to meet her, one hand coming to rest on her chest. A shadow presented itself, turning to the body. "You are late."

Mary and William || Continued from here
@thewxnderer

She chuckled a little as he agreed that her cousin wasn't charming. And then nodded as he said she wasn't patient either.
"But then again, her Father wasn't patient." She pointed out.
She then rose a brow "Scotland can be Flexible." She replied, a hint of a smile her on lips "For the right people." She added.
"So what you are really asking for is an arrangement that means my people will fight with yours to take England?" She asked. "How can you be so sure that you will win? It will be a great battle, England have far more men then Scotland does, they control the borders, and they have far more weapons. What can you offer that secures my peoples survival in this battle, that secures them that they will still have Scotland to come home to after?" She asked him curiously.

@tobeblamed ~ gets some time with Mary
Grease dripped from the paper bag onto the floor as Mary hurried in the door, but she didn’t make any move to clean it up. Not yet. The blonde was starving.
Her stomach had been growling for hours, but where she’d wanted to sink her teeth into a juicy burger from the get-go, she figured her boys wouldn’t mind some food. Especially Dean. And so she had continued the trek back to the bunker, pausing only to grab the burgers --and a salad for Sam-- from the drive-in closest to her home for the time being.
“I brought dinner,” she announced as soon as soon as she spotted her oldest son. Looking around the room and seeing no one else, she added in a confused tone of voice. “Where’s Sam?”
Mary was getting used to seeing her youngest at the table with his nose in a book or eyes glued to a computer screen. Maybe he was in his bedroom. She’d go check later.

@redemptivexheroics liked for some mother-son quality time
Despite the gut-wrenching feeling plaguing her, she tried to keep her voice as even and calm as possible in her attempt to offer her son some comfort. Still, Mary couldn’t meet his eye as the words fell with a deliberate slowness from her lips.
“There wasn’t anything anyone could have done.”

It was hard not to think the costume was cute at the very least. While it was not her cup of tea and she would feel like a fool wearing it, Andromeda could respect someone who could; even if that someone didn't earn an ounce of credit.
"Blame the lack of light muddying up the colors," she replied with the smallest of smile on her face. Mary's olive costume was amusing. She wasn't going to hide that much. "Olive green looks less olive when the light is so orange and yellow."
when: 28th october 1978 where: hogsmeade hallow eves fair who: mary & open ! @noxstarters
she had never been one for halloween - it had always been sebastian's favourite holiday, whereas Mary knew in her heart she was a christmas girl. but there was something about this year that felt magical, and when the thought had occurred to her as to what her costume could be, Mary knew she had to go all in. For her brother. besides, sebastian would have loved the idea of Mary running around in a stuffed olive costume - oval and all.
"What?" she grinned at on-lookers, rolling her eyes at people who laughed at her, "are you trying to tell me you've never seen a stuffed olive before? tsk, the education of some people these days."

A new school year was approaching and Mary was ecstatic to be on her way back to Hogwarts. Her entire summer was filled with classes for muggle studies (and no, not the same class that taught clueless purebloods how muggles lived their lives). Magic wasn’t the kind of thing her parents wanted her to get into, they didn’t want her to have absolutely no knowledge when it came to math and science and all the other courses that were taught in muggle schools. She understood where her parents were coming from but at the same time, it was painful to spend nearly her entire summer being home schooled by a tutor when she wasn’t planning on getting a muggle job once school was over.
The best part of her break was the letters from her friends, reminding her that the outside world of magic existed and that she was part of it. As always her friends kept in touch as well as the newest friend she made at the end of the year, Daisy. Mary felt the most eager to read Daisy’s letters whenever she got them and took a lot of time out of her day to make sure her response was perfect. She didn’t want to ruin their friendship by saying something weird or dumb! She already passed that point with the rest of her friends and she wasn’t used to figuring out what to do around new friends but she tried her hardest.
It went well enough that they planned to meet up at Diagon Alley to pick up this years list of requirements. The place was bustling as always, but between the other students and the locals doing their daily shopping, Mary was able to find Daisy in the crowd as she approached their agreed upon meeting point. “Hey! Daisy over here!” she called out, waving excitedly to the other girl, pulling her into a hug when she came over. “It’s great to see you, you haven’t picked up anything yet, have you?”

Who: @velascomari
Where: Somewhere on this huge ship
The relationship between the Velascos and the Walshes was one of the biggest memories Veronica had. They were always present with each at their houses, parties and vacations. She remembered the parents trying to marry off Mari and Bram. She figures whatever happens happens I guess. “Hey stranger, long time no see.” She said when she ran into her on the ship.

Truthfully, Kitty hadn't - at least, not for longer than the short shows her sisters declined on when they were home. "Not really." She finally answered, tilting her head to the side as she considered it. "I don't think it would be the same without my sisters, although.... I guess it's a nice option if they ever want to retire one day." She smiled.
"Oh, no, I don't think so." Kitty was quick to reply, trying to ease the discomfort that had blossomed at the question. "No arses here, promise." She grinned widely, nodding once decisively as if that settled the matter. "I think we had history of magic together - although I think Professor Binns was more alive than I was in that class so, that might explain it."
"Yeah," Kitty answered easily, a smile making it's way to her face. She couldn't help it, there was something so satisfying every time she heard someone call her that instead of Suzy. "Thank you - it's still strange to do it myself, but... I kind of like it." She grinned.
She turned in her seat a little to face the girl. She looked familiar - she cast her mind back to her school days, certain they had passed in the halls, at the very least. Kitty just hoped her memory was as good as she always bragged it to be. "....Mary? I think we went to school together."

@redemptivexheroics [continued]

Of course, Mary understood where he was coming from, but she was here now and Jack hadn’t known any better in that moment. The blonde had seen how much it pained him now, and considering the fact that they all had regarded him as family, this rift only made everyone else hurt, too. It was time to bury the hatchet and forgive the boy.
“I’m here, and I get where you’re coming from. But you can’t keep blaming him. It’s going to make living in this bunker unbearable.” Besides, Mary had a very strong feeling, she’d only make it back here-- with her family-- because of the nephilim. There weren’t a lot of people left with that kind of juice.

@becauseyouremybigbrother wants Mary
“Dean is strong. You both are, but I’ve seen what Michael can do...”
Pausing as she remembered some of the horrors she’d seen in Bobby’s world, she told her daughter solemnly, “We’re going to have to come up with a different plan to keep him locked away.”

Mary had gotten herself into a whole lot of trouble. She didn’t ask for it but she wasn’t one to step down to a cocky blood purist who thought they were better than her just because she had no magical background. Mulciber had started it, making comments that made her anger boil up in her chest, the urge to punch him in his smug face was impossible to ignore. She held back though, simply telling him to bugger off before she did indeed fight back.
Then while her back was turned he shouted out a curse she had never heard of before as she walked away. Immediately, she felt the pain that it caused as it sliced through her skin as if a sword was cutting deep into her body. Her shrieks of pain were echoing through the corridor and she wondered how it was possible nobody was around to hear her. She was panting as she fell to the ground unsure of what to do about her situation, but she saw the blood seeping through her clothes and she honestly did not believe she was going to survive this evening.
All of a sudden Mulciber was leaning in close over her bleeding body, using his wand to burn his name into her skin. Mary was fading in and out during the entire torturous moment, crying out for help, for him to please stop any time she was conscious. She didn’t understand what had driven him to go so far, besides her existence but she was prepared to end up found by Mrs. Norris the next morning.
The last thing she saw before passing out one more time was his face, a devious and evil grin on his face as he completed his work of art. So when he ended up running off at the sound of approaching footsteps and someone finally stepping in, Mary wasn’t even conscious enough to know she had been saved.

First date
@deusexdawn
Mary glanced at her own reflection in the window of the car parked right outside the local diner. Pausing at the sight of her hair, she quickly flattened the part which had gotten messed up during the fight. The blonde hoped she didn’t smell like burning flesh anymore, but she couldn’t tell herself --not with the way the stench was branded in her brain and nose. It was hard to smell anything else and it would probably take several days for that to clear up.
Rummaging through her little bag, she quickly found the small bottle of sample perfume and sprinkled it on eagerly. That should do the trick, she thought as she smiled at her reflection and nodded to herself in encouragement. She could do this.
Taking a deep breath, she turned to the entrance of the diner and pushed open the door. It was now or never. Mary just hoped everything would turn out well. She’d been looking forward to this date for days now. And it wasn’t like she had many opportunities to do something normal. Mary really CRAVED normalcy. And John looked like a perfectly normal AND incredibly handsome guy at the same time. The blonde felt like the luckiest girl alive to be asked out by him.
“Here goes...” Entering the diner, she spotted him right away and smiled as she walked towards him, purposely walking with the most confidence she could muster in the moment. “HI.”

“ what aren’t you telling me? ” for mom !
@tobeblamed ~ angst is good for the soul

Mary wouldn't tell him what she'd decided. The blonde didn't want her oldest son to live with any guilt when it had been her decision anyway. Glancing at him from the passenger seat, she tried to appear as neutral as possible.
"Why do you think there's more to the story? --There isn't." Except that she was going to be leaving her boys behind again. She made a deal with a devil once to save John, and now she'd done it to keep her boys safe.
There was no going back. They were all she had left in this world, and she'd be damned if she'd live out some life she wasn't even supposed to be living anymore while they had to suffer. Not if she had a say about it.

"My Dear Cousin is determined to make my Throne, but Elizabeth does not have charm, not like you. I would be willing to make a good truce with her, if she were perhaps a little more charming." She chuckled softly.
"But you are right, people have tried for many years, and yet, here we still stand. The Scottish will not bend easily." She breathed.
"My People are strong, they are fighters, and they will fight to keep their independence. However we can come up with some sort of arrangement, you and I... that will keep the Throne mine, and the land mine and my Peoples, but something that will... satisfy your needs." She breathed.
Always was the game afoot, always was he a hunter. There were plenty of conquests to be had, but the spoils of trivial actions bored him. Commitment required seeing how she fit him and she fit him quite well.
“ I would be appalled if they were not high.” He allows a chuckle to escape him as well
catching that look in her eyes he returned his own with steadfast resolve. “ England has been trying to do that for centuries it would seem to be an impossible task. Though that’s what they said about conquering England.”

"Why do you have a gun?" - John to Mary
Mary had really believed her underwear drawer to be the best place to hide her emergency gun. Apparently this wasn't the case, considering the fact it had only taken John a couple of months to find the weapon. To be fair, for a retiring huntress one gun wasn't a big deal. If anything, she felt pretty unsafe and lost without an extra machete and a decent hunter's knife on the side, but she was trying to live her much desired normal life as normal as possible.
"Oh..." Wanting more than anything for a hole to open up beneath her feet and swallow her whole, Mary racked her brain for an answer. Any answer --that wasn't the truth, of course.
"It's my dad's. He thought it would be safer for us to have one." They didn't really live in the best neighbourhood in town, but they didn't live in a crappy shack either. She could roll with this lie. But despite the fact that the blonde had been lying to people for most of her life, it always made her feel sick to her stomach when she had to lie to the man she loved. Would it ever get easier?
"--In case of burglars."

@dhampirslays | liked for randomness and replied for everything
Mary remained within the safety of the bunker as she calmly regarded the young redhead. If she was one of the many creatures they hunted, the warding would keep her out. And if not, she could walk right on in. That one step could tell a lot. And Mary would react accordingly.
“Are you here for one of my boys?”
