An adorable looping gif with Yellow!
Nonsense ramblings about making and my inspirations under the cut
Ok, starting with the background, I wanted it to look how I interpreted how Planet Bomber would look, with its lush mossy grass and giant red moon in the sky.

I also thought that since I HC him as aroace and saw this beautiful variation of it done by @siryyeet witch I used to color pick some of the colors, I made it so would have the been colored in a way that mimics it, and I think it it turned out great!
The butterfly in it is also an obvious nod to that one moment in Super Bomberman R in which he chases one although that takes place on Planet Timbertree so probably should have that the bg????? Whatever, this looks pretty
Also here’s a frame of it but not compressed as well a rough version of the gif

Walls
In which black attempts to cope with Pretty's unfortunate demise and in the process, changes himself for the worse.
(Adding a read more because I'm new to this Fandom and don't know what the triggers are, better safe than sorry)
The first thing he ever remembered seeing was the warm colored wall of the room he'd awakened in, he remembered the glee the humans displayed upon the awakening of their newest creation.
He remembers him and his siblings drawing on the walls of the laboratory, and then being scolded for it.
And now he sat with his back against the wall, waiting for their next mission.
He looked over at his older sibling, who was gingerly tinkering with something in her hand.
"Whatcha doing?" He asked looking over
"Hmm? Oh, I'm making a little locket for pink. I'm so excited to finish it and give it to her, she's gonna love it!"
He tried to get a good look at it but pretty quickly pulled it away.
"Not so fast, I don't need you spoiling the surprise!" She said indignantly
"Aw c'mon, I'm not gonna spoil it I just wanna see." He pleaded
"Nuh uh, not this time." She said as she began fiddling with it again.
After some moments of silence, she jumped out of her seat.
"Finally finished!" She exclaimed and turned to the door.
She ran out of the room to her matching sister to bestow the gift.
Black began to pout about the secrecy before white barged into the room.
"Alright black, grab pretty and let's get to the ship."
Black sat up slightly.
"Any idea where we're going?"
"They're getting some strange readings on timbertree, they want us to go check it out. Probably just them being paranoid but we haven't had some action in awhile." He explained as him and black made their way to where pretty and pink were.
"I'm not complaining, I'll take any excuse to get out" he said as they approached the door.
"Too right on that." White said.
He opened the door and saw pretty kneeling in front of pink, joy obvious on the two of their faces.
"Hate to ruin the moment you two, but we need to go. Pretty, get ready and meet me in the ship bay. We leave in 5 minutes." Black declared.
"Hey! I'm the leader here!" White groaned
"Most people will have a hard time believing that..." black paused, ready to lay the word white hated the most on him.
"Don't you say it!" White warned
"...shorty." black said slyly
"Gaah!" White yelled
"Oh don't start you two." Pretty said as she handed pink her beloved locket.
They turned back towards the door, but heard a little voice behind them.
"Wait!" Pink said
"Can't I come with? Please?" She pleaded
Pretty knelt down gently.
"Not now twin, you're still too young." Pink looked down in disappointment.
Suddenly, she jumped at pretty and gripped her in a tight hug.
"Then please come back safe!" She begged
"I will, twin. I will." She said, returning the hug.
The two headed towards the ship and the two boys kept on bickering.
"I am not short!"
"Then why are you smaller than me?"
"Because you're just taller than me...for now." He emphasized
"That's what a shorty would say." Black said, putting his hand on whites head as they approached the ship.
"Stop that! I'm older than you!" He said, batting the hand away.
They entered the ship, but as fhe three went to their positions, black could be heard uttering.
"Shorty." He could swear white was about to turn red.
"Will you two give it a rest?" Pretty said, in clear annoyance.
"Hey, it's not my fault it only takes one word to set him off." He laughed
"We have to focus, and we can't do that with you initiating this stuff!" She scolded
Black relented, she was right after all.
They flew in silence until the reached the planets orbit.
"Black, keep your eye on the scanner. We searching for anything out of the ordinary." White commanded.
"Sure thing sho-" he stopped himself short.
He had to stifle howls of laughter when he felt whites angry gaze on him.
"Black..."pretty warned
"Sorry, force of habit." He said, his voice breaking from holding back his laughter.
After a bit, his momentary joy was halted by the scanner.
"Wait, they weren't lying...there's is something here...something big..." black put on his game face, this wasn't the time for jokes anymore.
"Alright, I'm taking us in...black, grab the handheld and let's get this taken care of."
The swampy forest was quiet but...strangely darker than their last visit.
The two trudged on worried but feeling secure with each other by their side.
That feeling of security quickly left once a branch was heard snapping.
All three quickly snapped their gazes in the direction of the noise, alert and afraid.
"...you got anything on the handheld?" White asked quietly
Black looked down, the calm lines directly contradicting their environment.
"No...nothing yet." He returned the whisper.
"I...I'm gonna go take a look...you guys keep going. I'll bring back any findings I get." Pretty said, moving slowly towards the noise.
"Pretty, wait!" White fretted
"I'll be fine white, I'll keep my communicator on. You two do the same." She said.
White reluctantly let her go, and the two continued in their direction. They checked in on pretty every once in a while.
Pretty always answered back.
Always answered back, until she didn't.
White tried to rationalize, but black began to panic.
Not thinking clearly, he dashed off in the direction of where pretty had gone, ignoring whites calls for him.
Whites echos grew more and more faint, he kept going until he slammed into something solid.
He stared up, and gasped at the monstrosity before him. He had just now processed that his scanner was going crazy.
He stood up and the creature noticed him, he tried to throw a bomb but black never stood a chance.
It grabbed him with dark tendrils, flailing him around and twisting his limbs.
His experience with walls comes when he feels his limp body crash into the side of an old facility long abandoned, rubble came down on him like a concrete avalanche.
White took off after black, dodging trees and branches alike until he came across a pile of rubble.
"Black, do you hear me...black?!" He cried
Going off instinct, he began digging through the rubble in a blind panic.
He froze at blacks twisted and damaged body. He'd always felt invincible with his siblings, but that feeling had now vanished completely.
"Pink come in! It's black, he's hurt! We need to extract NOW!" He screamed into his communicator.
"I'm on my- bzzt - the heck happened -bzzt- having a hard time -bzzt-" her communicator buzzed as though it were in a seizure.
"I can hardly hear you, I'm grabbing black get to the ship as soon as possible!" He said
"White! -bzzt- it's -bzzt- ere!" He may not have been able to understand entirely what she said, but the panic in her voice was easy to hear.
Whites panic mounted, he ran as fast as his legs could carry him and dropped black off at the ship.
He followed pretty's distress signal and screamed.
She was in far worse shape than black, her twisted, mangled body lie still and white blacked out all the way back to the lab.
Black came to, once again his eyes first meeting the wall in front of him.
"Alright, this one's still functional." He heard one of the scientists say.
He looked around, trying to gather himself and deduce what had gone down.
His breathing picked up when he remembered, it didn't get to his other siblings did it?!
Sadly, his fears would he confirmed.
He went to the adjacent maintainable room and saw white huddled over pretty, wailing miserably.
"No..." he whispered in abject horror
White turned to him, and ran into him with the force of a thousand big brothers.
"Thank stars you're okay...I don't know what I'd do if I lost both of you!" He cried invisible tears into blacks arms.
But his sight was on pretty, and despite taking in every injury, he still couldn't properly process it.
Now, his new experience was the first time he ever put walls up himself.
"It's okay white these...th-these things happen...s-she'll be-" blacks futile and terrible attempt at comforting his big brother was cut off by a rough shove.
"These things just happen...THESE THINGS JUST HAPPEN?!" He screamed
"OUR SISTER IS GONA BLACK. GONE! THEY'RE GONNA SEND HER TO SCRAPHEAP! WE'LL NEVER SEE OUR SISTER AGAIN! NEVER!" He screamed his grief and frustration out, but they bounced off blacks numb psyche.
Upon seeing whites labored breaths, he felt it was best to leave him be.
But when he passed by pink, in a fetal position cradling here beloved locket; her last and only reminder of her sister, rocking back and forth with quiet sobs, something in black snapped.
He walked calmy but with purpose, to a straight hallway he knew was far from the prying eyes of humans and siblings alike.
He allowed his grief to pour out reluctantly.
It began with strained, disbelieving laughter.
But then, his sensors began to...to glitch?
Why were the corners of his vision darkening? Why was everything else turning red?
Now, his latest experience was him hurling fists into the wall before him.
Salvo after agonizing Salvo hit the wall as he screamed his agony out so loudly his speaker blew out. Leaving his voice a distorted, static-y mess.
He kept going until his hands were smashed in their entirety, and when he couldn't use those, he used his head.
When the full extent of his physical and emotional agony hit him full force, he collapsed with his back once again to the wall.
He brought his knees close and sobbed.
He'd been the one to take off running and got injured because of it...maybe if it'd been him and white then maybe their sister would still be here.
"I'm sorry..." he croaked
"I'm so sorry...it's all my fault...I didn't mean for this to..." he found it nearly impossible to get a proper sentence out.
His smashed hands and dented head left his sensors jumbling.
He felt hands on him, human hands.
He was ushered back to maintainance once they took blacks injuries in.
"This one too...I never knew they could act so human!" One scientist said.
"Quite fascinating...sad, but fascinating."
From that day, he began to build his own walls.
They started off fickle and delicate, like porcelain.
These emotions were sometimes able to worm their way through the cracks, and luckily he'd been able to get away from his siblings when they did.
Every time it happened, he built the walls higher, tighter and stronger until he boxed those emotions in a tight prison where he hoped his neglect would leave the to rot and finally just die...
No one ever knew, what they didn't know wouldn't hurt them and they'd been hurt enough. He continued on and never spoke of it again, but sometimes he caught White's gaze.
It was almost always filled with concern and regret, so black approached this from a different angle.
He began to refine the outside of his walls, half the reason people ponder certain art pieces is because there's nothing interesting to take in, so they look deeper.
He continued to work on the outside until they were so beautiful, so elegant so...so perfect.
No one would ever hope to bat an eye because there was nothing more to see!
Everything that was worth seeing was the outside, that disguised the ugly mess of emotions, thoughts and neglected grief that he tried so hard to ignore in the following years.
Sometimes, it did overtake him. He'd never acknowledged it, but he'd unknowingly boxed himself in with these emotions.
Years after the incident, they'd came back from a mission and black decided to stay in the ship for "just a few minutes."
Hours later, white went to inspect the ship and found black, still in the ship, staring off in the distance.
He reacted to nothing, not even the sound of the door opening, not even the sound of whites footsteps.
He went into blacks field of view and cringed once he got a look at his eyes.
They were dull and unfocused, like a dead man's stare.
He waved his hand in front of blacks face, and still he didn't react.
It took him shaking black for him to snap out if whatever trance he was in.
Black reassessed where he was, which didn't do White's growing anxiety any favors.
"Black, what's going on with you?" He half commanded.
White had to be sure, in all the years he'd known, him he'd never seen black openly express his grief. He'd researched what this kind of behavior did to humans. He didn't want his little brother going down that same road.
"Huh, I have no idea...that was weird, think I might be glitching out." Black's body language gave absolutely nothing away, if his eyes opened black up before he'd entirely closed himself back off now.
Hell, even white was convinced.
"Maybe you should get that checked out, I think something similar happened with green." Black stood up
"Yeah, I think I'll do that." He said dismissively.
He walked past white, or at least he tried. He was stopped with a hand on his chest.
"Hey black, are you uuuhm...are you alright...? I mean like, really. Are you alright?" Black immediately felt how much of a loaded question this was, he was all too used to White's big brother tactics.
White had gotten his grief out in a mostly healthy way, although he had turned into a bit of a taskmaster and constantly fretted over his siblings' well being.
"Hmm? Yeah, why is something wrong? Is my pretty face shining a little too bright?" He'd smooth-talked his way out of facing reality, he could tell white was mostly convinced but still unsteady.
But he'd deal with that when he had to.
Sometimes, he'd wondered what things would be like if he hadn't run out there, but it was too late for that. The pristine walls he'd spent so much time building up had now become a part of him.
He was so far past the point of no return he'd forgotten what it looked like when he first got there.
With himself boxed in this perfect prison, every time he tried to fight against it he was torn to shreds every single time.
But at least he had the benefit of getting mauled from inside his perfect little prison.
---------------------------------------------------
So, first writing for this Fandom. I just wanted to say hi so far.
So yeah, black is my favorite character to torment, he's my favorite little punching bag/aff
Hopefully I didn't come off as overly edgy.
I wanted to dedicate this to @lunaremy if you're not okay with being tagged then I will take your tag off upon request.
I hope yall enjoyed ^^

Loney Hutchins — Appalachia (Appalachia Record Co)

youtube
Country songwriter Loney Hutchins never quite made it, as least in the traditional sense of what “making it” means. He worked at the House of Cash, he wrote successful songs, he enjoyed Nashville, and he even spent years using music therapy to help patients who had suffered brain injuries. The time for his music seemed to have passed, but now, decades later, a small resurgence has been happening. Last year saw the release of the astonishing collection Buried Loot: Demos from the House of Cash and Outlaw Era, ‘73-‘78, in which the demos turn out to be fully realized should-have-been-hits. Appalachia releases the album he'd envisioned right after that period, once again demonstrating his strength as an artist even while highlighting his unfortunate gift of slipping into commercial cracks.
Hutchins first recorded these songs in 1979, but he couldn't find a home for the album. By 1983, he'd started his own label and put out a variation of the album titled Appalachia Music. The story runs that the music was too rock for Nashville and too country for Los Angeles. There's a ring of truth to it, but there's a comfort to the music that, at least from 40 years later, suggests the standard narrative, while accurate, has been simplified. In today's industry, a release this good would have gotten some attention, but in 1980, it faced some complications.
It is accurate that the country-rock sound Hutchins employs on much of Appalachia doesn't quite fit in with any of the marketing possibilities of the time. He could have twisted his aesthetic more toward an act like Alabama, who was just hitting their peak. He could have turned it more toward something like the Eagles (which feels like anathema to his whole project). Hutchins twangs too much for the California version of country rock and he doesn't have the same sensibilities of the counterculture that made space for Gram Parsons. “Son of a No Good Man” ties most directly to Southern rock, but there's not a clear way to tie him in to Lynyrd Skynyrd or even an act like Molly Hatchet.
The key factor missing in the story, though, is the end of the outlaw era of country music. Waylon Jennings officially put it to bed with 1978's “Don't You Think This Outlaw Bit's Done Got out of Hand.” Hutchins never fit neatly into that scene, but it makes a better context for him. His other leanings were more toward a singer-songwriter bent, an artsy folk approach more like Kris Kristofferson. All of which means that by 1980, Hutchins was coming out of a tradition that felt passé (which he never quite fit anyway) recording a sound that hadn't quite found its home yet for a community that he'd recently left. That Appalachia couldn't find a label isn't as simple as its country-rock status.
But it's that very nature that makes the recordings so appealing all these years later. Hutchins has hints of the new Nashville, old bluegrass, rock 'n' roll, folk, and more. When he throws in a yodel at the end of “We've Got It All,” it sounds natural even after the Southern rock guitar solo. The opening chords of next track “Loving You” crunch, and then the song turns toward pure country. Pulling out the bits of influence in Hutchins' music suggests he does pastiche, as if he simply collects some sounds around him and represents them. Instead, his own sound draws from an array of music to create a singular vision, one that might be idiosyncratic but still remains accessible.
Opening track “Timbertree” holds up in any era. Hutchins writes about his home, a nowhere holler on the Virginia/Tennessee border. His appreciation comes through even as he discusses the hardships they faced (“Dad had seven children by 1954 / Probably would have starved if he'd had any more”). Between gardening, work, and faith, the family gets through. The “branches reaching out to me” become as metaphorical as they are literal, and Hutchins uses exact specificity (naming his neighbors, for example) to build a nearly visible world that becomes engaging as both a piece of autobiography and a meditation on personal history. When he runs out of things to say, the guitar solo completes his thoughts.
With songs like this one, Hutchins assembles an album that could have been a classic. Unfortunately, the very confluence of ideas that make it exciting now kept it from getting proper exposure in its time. Fortunately, we get another chance at the album this time around, and hopefully it's just one part of the burgeoning Loney Hutchins revival.

We arrived at timbertree and already yellow is missing.

A new part of the mission is too search for the keys. But not to destroy to many enemies. Because doing that will spawn more faster.

We ran into Golem Bomber he was also in super bomberman 2 on the SNES.

White Bomber’s second audio diary, in which he recounts the unexpected connection he found with Plasma Bomber. (Where’s White’s first audio diary? Right here! Where, incidentally, you can also find some explanation as to why these videos exist.)
As before, watch other videos from Peter von Gomm on YouTube, and check out his Instagram too!
Full script is below the cut!
***
Day 69 of Year 30XX. This is White, reporting in!
Well, I visited Plasma Bomber on Planet Scrapheap today, and that was a little scary. Not because of him or anything…but because I really, reaaaaally didn't want to leave my siblings home by themselves.
I mean, I've done it before when I didn't have any other choice, and it didn't always end in disaster. Sometimes things were only partly blown to pieces, instead of completely blown to pieces! So it's not a total recipe for trouble. But it's not exactly a recipe I wanna cook with if I don't have to, you know?
But you might be saying, hey! Why didn't I just bring all of them with me, like an older brother should?
And maybe I should have, considering that it seems like my siblings and the other former Dastardly Bombers want to see each other again. Red's been playing online games with Magnet and insisting that he's going to bomb Magnet into even littler pieces than he already is because Magnet's a "big fat cheater," and every time one of us checks Blue's email for him he always has messages from Phantom about…well, who knows. Each message is completely empty except for a single attachment, which are all named things like "OPEN ME IF YOU DARE!!!" or "ARE YOU GOOD ENOUGH TO CRACK THIS CODE?!" There was even one that was just titled "FWAHAHAHAHA!!" Yikes…maybe someone should tell Phantom how to talk to Blue so he'll actually bother listening. Or reading, in this case. You can't really dare Blue to do anything except sleep for as long as possible.
…I, uh…don't think Golem talks that much, but Plasma told me that his part of Planet Timbertree is filled with yellow flowers. Weird, right? I wonder what that's all about…
In any case, I am glad we've made some new friends. We're a little isolated here on Planet Bomber, what with being so busy with our training and all. (…or rather, with me trying to get everyone to come to training.) I could've dropped my siblings off so they could have some fun while I talked with Plasma, and then picked them up on the way back home.
But sometimes…I just don't want to worry about anything like that, you know? I hate to admit it, but sometimes I just need time for myself. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't give this up for anything else! But it's exhausting having to look after everyone. Plus, rest is just as important as training! It's dangerous if you push yourself too hard.
(Just don't tell any of my siblings I said that. Then they'll be even worse about not coming to training.)
That being said, it wasn't like I talked to Plasma for the fun of it. He'd sent a message the other day asking me to come see him on Planet Scrapheap, and while the message didn't say what he wanted to talk about, given what I knew about him I figured it had to be something serious. So I left Pink in charge and headed out.
When I arrived, Plasma was there waiting with the kid who got involved in our fight last week. The kid ran off to play with his friends, and Plasma explained that he'd decided to look after the children here, to make sure they didn't get into any trouble. And that made sense, because Planet Scrapheap's not the safest place to be, whether you're organic or robotic.
But it did make me wonder why Plasma came back in the first place. He'd said it himself: Planet Scrapheap was where machines like us ended up once we were broken or unwanted. There were other places he could've gone if all he wanted to do was to protect people. Why'd he come here, if he didn't have to?
When I asked him that, he wouldn't answer my question at first. He said he wanted me to follow him instead, so he could show me something.
I thought that was a little strange of him to say. But I had no reason to say no, so I went along with him. And man, the amount of trash on Planet Scrapheap really is unbelievable. Seeing it from space is one thing, but to actually walk around in it, especially when you're not thinking about other things, is just…well, I don't even know how to describe it. Scary, maybe, or creepy. Or even…
…
…
…
…anyway! The place Plasma led me to didn't look that much different from the rest of the planet. It had the same mountains of grimy machine parts, the same towering stacks of crushed metal, and the same piles of defunct robots as far as I could see. But I did see the arm of a broken construction crane sticking out from the top of a nearby trash heap like it was going to reach down and grab me, and for a moment, I was a little worried that Plasma hadn't actually been freed from Buggler's control after all — that what he wanted all along was to lead me into a trap to destroy me for good.
Well, of course, if that was the case, I wasn't going to go down without a fight! I turned to him, bracing myself to throw the first bomb if I needed to…
And then Plasma said…that this was where he woke up after Buggler resurrected him.
That definitely caught me off guard. I had no idea what to say, so I gave the scenery another look. Somehow it seemed even more terrible, then, and I hadn't thought that was possible for a place like Planet Scrapheap.
Plasma went on to say that he didn't remember anything when he woke up from being scrapped. He said that all he knew was confusion, and disappointment, and betrayal. He said he didn't know where those feelings came from, only that they only grew stronger at the sight of so many discarded robots around him. He said it was those feelings that Buggler seized on in order to brainwash him into doing the awful bidding of the Buggler Army.
Then he stopped, and didn't say anything after that.
But you know? Somehow I understood him anyway.
I told Plasma that I got it. That he didn't need to apologize to me for what he did or what he felt. After all, people don't always appreciate us robots. Just because I'd disagreed with his reasons for revenge back then didn't mean I hadn't understood them. And, I made sure to point out to Plasma that he himself had said that Buggler had brainwashed him! He could only do as he'd been ordered. It wasn't his fault.
Plasma didn't seem convinced. (And honestly, I can't say I wouldn't have felt the same, in his place.) Still, I told him that there wasn't any point in worrying about the past when he had the future to look forward to. Besides, I thought he had the right idea in looking after the kids here. That's what all robots are made for, after all — to protect people.
But Plasma said it wasn't like that, not exactly. He said that after everything that happened with Buggler, there was something else he felt he had to do.
"You asked me why I came back," he said. "Here is your answer."
Plasma gestured at the mangled, mechanical mess that surrounded us for miles, where dust-covered metal faces seemed to stare back everywhere we looked. He didn't say anything after that. And this time, I didn't understand him at all.
Thinking about it now, though, it seems so obvious! Makes me feel a little dumb about having to ask him what he meant. I don't think I can do justice to how he explained himself, but it's important, so I'm going to do my best. So here goes!
Plasma said that he'd come back for the robots who might one day wake up like he did, with no memory of who they were or what they were meant to do. He wanted them to know that, even though they'd gotten thrown away, there was still someone who cared enough to pick them back up again in this industrial wasteland. He wanted them to see that, no matter how broken they were, they could still find a function to fulfill. And he wanted them to realize, faster than he did, that they didn't have to lash out and hurt innocent people in their pain.
"The cycle of hatred will end with me — I swear it," Plasma said, and I remember him saying it just like that because…well…it was awesome! The way he held his fist to his chest with such determination was just so…heroic, you know?
Not that I told Plasma any of that. I have a reputation to keep, after all!
My response to him wasn't anywhere near as cool, though. I just gave him a thumbs-up and told him I'd hold him to that. Which was true, at least! If Plasma ever goes evil again, you'd better believe I'd be the first in line to bring him back to his senses. It's the least he deserves, especially now that I know more about him.
Okay, but that whole thing I just talked about wasn't why Plasma called me to Planet Scrapheap. All of that stuff with him explaining himself, that was just because I'd asked him a question first and he wanted to give it the response he thought it deserved. Wasn't that great of him?
Anyway, the reason Plasma wanted to talk was because he wanted to know if I knew anything about who created me and my family. I gotta say, of all the questions I thought he'd ask, that wasn't one of them. I started to tell him the little things that I'd found out or remembered about our creator, but he interrupted me in the middle of it, asking if our creator had a daughter. I didn't remember him having one, so I told Plasma no, and I asked him why he wanted to know.
It turned out that after we defeated Buggler, Plasma talked with Magnet, Golem, and Phantom, and found out that they were all starting to remember an old scientist with a daughter. Their memories weren't complete, but they were sure that this was the man who created them. But Pretty, who had ended up in the same part of Planet Scrapheap as they did, was from my family. So Plasma couldn't help but wonder if the four of them came from the same place she did.
In other words…Plasma thought that he and I…might have been brothers!
Heck of a thing to think about, right?
But I was a little confused. Why did he call me all the way out here to talk about something like that? He could've just asked about it when he sent me the message in the first place.
Plasma just waved it off, saying something about having been paranoid, so I let it go. In any case, as much as I respect him, I didn't think I wanted to have him as a brother, and I told him so. After all, I've got enough siblings to look after already, especially now that Pretty's back.
And…ooooh, that started it!
Plasma crossed his arms and said, "What makes you think you would be the one looking after me?"
And of course I was like, "What?"
And he went on all like, "It's clear that you don't have much authority over your siblings. While your skill as a bomber-warrior is admirable, I have less faith in your ability as an older brother."
Can you believe him?! No way was I gonna let that stand!
I let him have it. I said, "Excuse me? What makes you think you're any better at this brother business? One of your siblings barely talks and the other two are just…a little focused, that's all! I dare you to deal with my crazy family for even ten minutes!"
Plasma asked if that was a formal challenge. I had to make myself calm down and think about it before I said something I'd really regret. Eventually I said I'd settle for him bringing Magnet over to play with Red, because I was seriously concerned that Red was going to blow up our TV if Magnet didn't stop cheating at video games. And Plasma agreed…except that he insisted that Red was the one cheating.
Hmph — like I don't know my own brother! I told him there was no way it could be Red, because Red was hotheaded, not underhanded. Plasma's argument was that Red didn't even give all of Magnet's traps on Planet Technopolis a proper chance, so even if he had spirit and strength, he probably didn't have honor.
That did it. I let Plasma know in no uncertain terms that one day we were going to settle this once and for all, and he was going to see that I was the better big brother between the two of us! Which I thought sounded cool and dramatic, but…Plasma didn't seem that impressed. He did say that he was looking forward to that day, though, so…I guess that's something.
And you know what? I'm looking forward to that day, too.
…but hopefully that day won't come any time soon, because I just got home to find the common room almost completely filled with Charabom plushies, storybooks, and bags of candy. Black said that Green convinced Pretty to spoil him silly with presents, and now Pretty's out doing karaoke downtown with Pink and Aqua for the third night in a row. At least Pink made lunch before she left, but…sigh.
Look — I totally still believe in our bond as siblings. We're just…adjusting a little now that Pretty's back, that's all! Anyway, things weren't anywhere near as bad as they could have been, so I'm going to call this a victory for my big brother skills. Once Pretty gets settled in with us, we're going to show the former Dastardly Bombers who's really boss — again!
The four of them should have a new name, though, don't you think? I don't want to keep calling Plasma and his brothers "the former Dastardly Bombers." They shouldn't be stuck with such a terrible name when all the "dastardly" stuff they did wasn't even really their fault in the first place.
Maybe Red would have some good ideas. He's always coming up with heroic names for himself and everyone he knows. Well, mostly himself, really. And most of them…aren't that great. But I'm sure we could come up with something if we worked hard enough at it!
Wait. What if we just called them "the Plasma Bros."? Note to self: run it by Red tomorrow.
Anyway, this is White — signing off!

10 Last-Minute, Alternative Tree Ideas That’ll Make You Forget All About the Real Thing
yul38885/iStock
The holidays came fast this year, and no one would blame you if picking out the absolutely perfect Christmas tree wasn’t at the top of your to-do list. Alternative trees have been trending for quite some time now—and they might just be your holiday savior this year. If you’re in need of some quick-fix yuletide cheer before the in-laws come a’knocking, go ahead and explore these 10 tree alternatives you can make (or buy) in a jiffy.
1. Favorite photos tree
View this post on Instagram
No room for a Christmas tree this year? Or just want another… print out photos of all the fun times you've had this year and create a 2D christmas tree. #photos #phototree #memories
A post shared by Warehouse Stationery (@warehousestationery) on Nov 3, 2019 at 2:01pm PST
Nothing says “I love you” quite like plastering your wall with family members’ faces. Especially if those faces form a giant, festive tree-shaped collage, like this one featured by @warehousestationery. Your friends and family won’t even have it in them to give you hell for not getting a “real tree” this year when they see their debut appearance on your wall.
The best part? You can print enough photos to make a tree for less than a few bucks—meaning more money in your pocket for food and drinks (or as we like to call it— the “coping with family fund”).
2. Wall decal tree
Tree decal by KrazySignsUSA
Etsy
It’s hard not to be charmed by adorable wall decals, especially when they’re wishing you a happy holiday.
“These are a lot of fun,” says designer Ana Cummings of ANA Interiors. “I’ve seen really beautiful decal trees made from Post-it notes, too. You can’t make a mistake, anyone can participate, and the best part? No mess to clean up—and the walls remain pristine.”
So, head over to Etsy to shop the amazing selection of wall decals (like this one). Or to your local office supply store for some Post-its.
3. Holiday card tree

Much like the photo tree, your friends and family will be so charmed that you liked their cards enough to display them that they’ll barely even notice there isn’t a pine needle in sight. We’d also bet you have enough cards by now to make a whole forest of trees, but don’t worry—one is plenty.
4. Wood pallet tree

“Love farmhouse and industrial decor? This pallet tree is the perfect update if you already have pallets in your house,” says Annie Thompson, owner of DIY Decor Mom. “Just add lights!”
Cut the pallet to the shape of a tree (like we see in this post from @ladydarwindesign), or simply deck it with lights and decor like this one (no saw needed).
5. Space-saving tree
Space saver tree

If you want more of a real-seeming tree, consider making your own with this DIY space-saver tree. You’ll need a few wood scraps and some pine boughs, but you can easily craft your own tree that comes just a few inches out of the wall.
“ For small-space dwellers who want to get into the Christmas spirit, this is the perfect solution: a wall-mounted tree made of faux garland or real pine branches, decorated with ornaments, ribbons, or even beads,” says Amanda Amato-Scotto, CEO and principal designer of AMA Designs & Interiors. “If you’re worried about putting nails into the wall, have no fear—this tree can be supported by Command hooks that won’t damage walls.”
6. Ladder tree
View this post on Instagram
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, how lovely is your…ladder? I felt like doing another DIY and I knew this ladder tree would either be really pretty or an epic fail (I think we've all had that feeling at least once or twice). Not only that, but I hadn't seen anyone I know do this, so I really had no idea how it would turn out. But I was pleased with the result! I like to do things a little different and try new things. But don't worry, I still plan to put up and decorate an actual Christmas tree. Do you have any Christmas DIY's that you are working on? Have a ladder? Grab some faux garland, string lights, or even just a few Christmas ornaments (like we see in this post from @emilyc.design) and bam! You’ve got yourself a tree.
“I love this idea,” Cummings says. “Especially if you have a vintage ladder, or a colorful one with character.”
Give your old ladder a fresh coat of red paint to complete this festive alt tree.
7. Garland wall tree

This wall-mounted DIY tree (posted by @jessicapw90) is sure to bring some leafy evergreen goodness into your place, without requiring you to rearrange the furniture. String up some real (or faux) garland on the wall using command hooks, then add your favorite lights and ornaments.
These are nice for small rooms that require a festive touch,” Cummings says. “It’s so simple and cost-effective. Great for minimalists who want to show a little glitzy flare.”
8. String lights tree

Much like the garland tree, all you need for this one are a few Command hooks and a string of festive lights to pull off this alternative tree. Hang them in a tree-shape on your wall, and complete the look with your favorite decorations or Christmas cards.
9. Kid-friendly felt tree
Felt tree
Amazon
Looking for a fun alternative that even the kids will enjoy? Consider ordering one of these felt trees from Amazon. No mess, no cleanup. And you can have stick-on ornaments for the kiddos to decorate.
“Definitely fun for the little ones,” Cummings says. “You can have a different-styled tree every day! I love the ability to add and subtract and add again without making a mess, and it’s great for keeping little kids busy.”
10. Colorful pompom tree
View this post on Instagram
The pom-pom tree! If you’ve never used pom pom makers before, you need to discover the joys… you too will want to make this many pom poms! * Another of my free festive projects, this alternative christmas tree is such a fun craft project. It’s also a great stash buster! * I have memories of getting frost bite collecting sticks from a local park to make this. My cat then proceeded to try and kill them all! * This was another think out of the box project for me as I’m kind of clumsy so am a bit hopeless at the more precise delicate crafts! I love it though and left it up until about March! * #doradoes1year #crochetdesign #crochetblogger #pompom #pompomtree #pompomdecoration #pompomlove #allthepompoms #pompomparty #alternativechristmas #christmasdecor #incolourfulcompany #colourmehappy #wearethemakers #heytheremaker #meetthemaker #makersmovement #makeandcreate #makeityourself #makeitbetter_sc #makeyourownfun #creativehappylife #vscomaker #craftsposure #hookmehappy #doitfortheprocess #doradoes

Another crafty favorite, this DIY alternative tree (featured by @doraexplored) is for all the apartment dwellers looking to add a few pops (or shall we say poms) of color to their decor this holiday season.
“The branches can be made from real branches found in the backyard, and then wrapped in twine or rope for a bohemian touch,” Amato-Scotto says.
