For Science, Obviously (rated Explicit) by luddleston
“What exactly do you want out of me, here?” Ashton asked. “Just tip your head like this.” Essek’s chilly fingers guided his chin to point away. Thank fuck they were facing out of the dome. Ashton couldn’t stand all the stupid knowing looks the rest of the Hells were probably giving him. ‘Specially Fearne.
it's a totally normal reaction, all the Titan/earth genasi with Luxon beacons in their heads get a little...flustered around Essek. he's aware. its fine.

Welcome And Goodbye
Nanami Kento x Reader
(Song: welcome and goodbye by Dream, Ivory)
It’s been three years. Three years since he returned back to Jujutsu High.
Three years without you.
You both had the same mindset after the death of Haibara when you were in your first year as students. Having to risk your life as a jujutsu sorcerer felt too much of a burden, especially for you. You two didn’t realize it until later; how much of an impact Haibara made into your lives until the break up. He was the reason that you and Nanami became a couple for six years. The reason why you two left behind the life of a sorcerer. However, once Nanami returned, his death became the reason of the break up.
Nanami arrived home late again. He hated staying out late for work. It was seldom, but he knew you were going to worry yourself out. He stopped at Jujutsu High after his mission for Shoko to heal his injury.
He found his dinner on the table, wrapped up for him to eat when he arrived home. He looked at the counter filled with papers, textbooks, and your laptop. Guilt crept in him. Quietly, Nanami walked inside the shared bedroom. He found you curled up in a ball, fast asleep. The closer he walked to you, the more he saw the tears that stained your cheeks. He hated it. Especially because he was gone so late, he knew you cried so much with worry.
When he sat down, you felt the bed dip and woke up. You jumped up and wrapped your arms around him. You couldn’t help but cry. You couldn’t help but worry about the possibility of death happening to him. However, you knew the consequences when he decided to return.
“I’m sorry,” he said softly and kissed your forehead.
“I’m just glad you’re home safe.”
He remembered that week all too well. Three years later, it plays over and over in his mind. He remembered you two sitting on the couch, wanting to talk about the relationship and his job. He remembered the tears that you tried to hold but failed to. He remembered you mutually agreeing about breaking up. He remembered it all, detail to detail. The broken look on your face, what you wore, how your hair was. He remembered packing his things. The last time you two made love and kissed before he left to stay with Gojo until he found himself his own place.
He wonders everyday if you were doing okay. But he knows that you are. You still lived in the same apartment. You worked overnights at the hospital. You still attend the same school and you’re at your last year of it. He knows the café you visit frequently because he saw you a year later when he needed something to eat. So every now and then, he goes there to pay for your coffee and snack before you got there.
“I don’t see why you can’t go up to her and just say hi,” Gojo said. Nanami sighed, turning the page of his newspaper.
“She has her new and better life,” Nanami answered. “Besides, as long as I know that she’s okay, that’s all that matters.”
“But you won’t know unless you ask. She’s good at putting up a mask. And you know it. You just read her well.” Nanami was silent. Sometimes, Gojo does have a point.
“Do you talk to her?” he asked curiously.
“Of course! You know, I had her meet my students. She gives them great insight.” Gojo’s smile was wide. Nanami was surprised. He didn’t think you would keep in contact with anyone. But, Gojo was the one who kept tabs on you for him during the recent stage of the break up. It only made sense that you and Gojo would talk to each other now and then.
Nanami made it to the cafĂŠ again. He paid for your future order and sat in the corner, drinking his own cup of tea as he read the newspaper.
He found you walking inside. He enjoys the surprise look on your face when you found your order paid and ready to go again. He couldn’t help but smile to himself. You sat at the opposite side of the café where the windows were. You always love being by the sunlight. You were typing continuously. He could assume that you were typing a paper. Nanami thought of ways to approach you, but stopped himself every time.
The next time he looked up, he found a man sitting down in front of you. His heart sank. You smiled widely at him and laughed at whatever he said. He wanted to leave. He wanted you to be happy, but he didn’t want to see it with another man.
“Hello?” you said, answering a sudden phone call. “Satoru?” The name coming out of your mouth made his ears perk. He couldn’t help but look up just a bit. “I might be a bit late. Later.” He couldn't help but wonder when you called Gojo by his first name, too. Panic settled within him.
You stood up and packed your things, and told the guy that you’re heading out. Nanami watched the man lending you his sweater but you politely declined. The man was persistent and Nanami smiled as you continued to reject the offer. He could safely assume that you weren’t interested.
As you left, Nanami stood up. He folded the newspaper and threw his empty cup in the garbage. He left the cafĂŠ, deciding to go home and not continue to see you what you were going to do with Gojo.
“Hey there, stranger.” The sound of your voice surprised him. He slowly turned around and found you hugging yourself warm and giving him a shy smile. “It’s been a while.”
“Y-Yeah. How did you—“
“It’s not everyday that a tall man with blonde hair comes in the café. You’re not hard to miss, especially with that tie of yours,” you said with a small laugh. Nanami couldn’t help but smile back. There you were, finally in front of him three years later.
“I…I um…” You were the only one who could get him flustered like this. It still amuses him to this day.
“Thank you. For the coffee and snacks,” you said.
“How did you know?”
“I only realized it a few months ago. I noticed you the day it was paid for. I…I didn’t know how to approach you.”
He called out your name. His voice was soft and gentle. Your heart fluttered at the sound of his voice. It was music to your ears. You had to stop yourself from touching him, from holding his hand. You were dying for his touch and kisses. Everyday for the past three years.
You thought about him every day. You were heart broken that day. Nanami Kento wasn’t just your lover but also your best friend. He knew you inside and out. He knew you more than you knew yourself. But after your talk with him three years ago, the worry was too much where you agreed to end the relationship while he didn’t want you to worry. And you regretted it ever since. Because no matter how happy everyone sees that you were, deep down you still weren’t.
Nanami watched you shiver again. Swiftly, he took his suit jacket off and placed it around your shoulders. You felt weak from his smell. You missed him too much.
“You should hurry. Gojo-san is waiting,” he said sadly and quietly.
“Satoru can wait,” you said. He watched the tears form and he watched you hold them in. “You seem to be doing great though. Kicking ass I bet.”
“Yeah, I guess I am,” he replied softly.
“Kento, I—-“ You blushed, you haven’t really said his name in a while too. It felt foreign but it also felt so right. You lost your train of thought. Nanami usually has that effect on you.
“Do you have time then? I-I really missed you and…”
“Follow me.” And so he did. Nanami followed you for a few blocks. He realized that you were leading him to your place. “Want some tea?”
“Please.”
It was the same as it was, except there were no pictures of the two of you around the apartment. The couch was new and even the table yet the layout and arrangement never changed. He went in the kitchen with you. He sat at the high chair at the counter, watching you heat up water in the kettle.
“The truth is, I’ve been training with Satoru for the past two years,” you confessed. “I told him not tell you because I wasn’t ready to see you just yet.” Nanami’s eyes widened.
“So…a-are you coming back?” he asked.
“Somewhat? Not completely,” she answered.
“What made you change your mind?” You knew that he wanted to protect the younger sorcerers. You couldn't say no to him for that reason. Strangely, you missed the action. You missed helping people in need. It was why you decided to go into the healthcare field but sometimes, it just wasn't the same.
“I miss helping people,” you answered. “But I also miss the action. That was fun.”
“What about school? You worked hard.”
“I’ll still do it,” you said. “I still don’t want to be a sorcerer forever.” Nanami nodded. He understood. It was the same for him.
“Itadori-kun has a lot of potential,” Nanami said. You nodded.
“A lot of growth is needed for him. But Satoru has promising students."
“So, you train and partake in missions?”
“No missions. Just training and teaching whenever I can.”
“I never noticed you.”
“I haven’t either.”
It was quiet again for the two of you. You went back and turned the stove off. You poured hot water in two tea cups and gave each other black tea bags. Nanami quietly thanked you and blew at the hot liquids.
You texted Gojo. You were going to cancel the training session. All he did was text you good luck. You feel like you know Gojo well enough that he knows that you’re with Nanami.
You vented to Gojo a lot. And he’ll tell you the same thing every time. To go and talk to him. You had it all planned out today. But the moment you stood in front of him, everything you planned for was gone. So for a while, the two of you drank your tea with content silence until it was prolonged and awkward. Nanami looked at the time and stood up from his seat.
“I should head back,” he said. You looked at the time. It was already eight. And you knew Nanami. It was almost time for him to get ready for bed.
“R-Right,” you said, disappointment evident in your voice and it didn’t go unnoticed by him. He slowly got ready to go. By the time he was at the door, the two of you two remained silent. Both of you wanting to tell each other to stay.
“I’ll see you around,” he said and turned around. He immediately felt you grab his wrist. He turned around and the moment he saw your tears, he pulled you into his arms.
“I missed you too, Kento,” you said, replying to his statement from the café. “I missed you so much. I regret it. I never should’ve left. I should’ve tried harder and—“ His grip on you tightened.
“I never should’ve brought it up,” he said. “I never…I should’ve…fuck. I missed you so much.”
The two of you remained like that for a while, with you in his arms and his face buried in the crook of your neck. When he pulled away to look at you, he cupped your face and used his thumbs to wipe your tears away. You couldn’t help but smile from his comfort. Nanami smiled back and rested his forehead on yours. You two took in the comfort that was missed for the past few years.
“I never stopped loving you,” he confessed.
“I love you too, Kento. So, so much.”
He captured your lips. He closed the door and lifted you up. You wrapped your arms around his neck and legs around his waist. Nanami carried you to your bedroom. Gently, he laid you down, lips still glued to each other. He gently bit your lower lip and caressed the side of your body. You softly moaned at his touch. You loosened his tie and unbuttoned shirt. Nanami was the first to pull away. He admired your flushed and breathless look. He smiled softly and gave you soft kisses all over your face.
“Have you ever…was there ever anyone else?” he asked curiously. You shook your head.
“Just you Kento. How about you?” Your answer made his smile wider. He captured your lips again before replying the same answer you gave him. And the two of you stayed up together, catching up on the three years missing each other.
The sunlight shining through the thin curtains stirred you awake. Memories of last night flooded your mind and you blushed as you turned around. Next to you was Nanami. You smiled, missing his serene and sleepy face in the mornings. You couldn’t help but softly brush his hair back. Nanami smiled and slowly opened his eyes.
“Good morning, darling,” he greeted, voice hoarse and tired.
“Good morning.”
“Come here.” He opened his arms and you eagerly went to him. Nanami gave you soft kisses on your shoulders, up to your neck, then to your lips. You shuddered and sighed in content. “After last night, I'm not leaving you ever again."
“I wouldn’t let you,” you said.
“Do you have class?” he asked curiously. You nodded and told him that it started in a couple of hours. “I’ll drive you. Go get ready then we could go to my place and I can do the same.” You got up out of bed and walked to your closet. You pulled out clothes, but what surprised him were also clothes that he left at your place.
“They were in the laundry. I couldn't throw them away,” you said. “We can spend more time together before we go now.” Nanami got up and hugged you.
Students couldn’t help but stare at the two of you, especially at Nanami. Nanami carried your bag and held your hand. You guided him to the building, excitedly telling him about your semesters in school.
“What are your plans for today?” he asked.
“This is my only lecture, but I go to lab and practice skills for about an hour. Then the library to study. If Satoru calls me, I might train instead. I have work tonight, too.” You pouted at the idea of work. You hated working and going to school. It was tiring, especially when you train with Gojo. Now being back with Nanami, you were contemplating on calling out tonight. It has been a while.
“Call me. I might be able to pick you up," Nanami offered. “I’m going on a mission with Itadori-kun, but it shouldn’t take too long.”
“Text me when you get to the place and let me know when you’re done?”
“Of course, love.” He walked you all the way to your classroom. He gave you back your backpack and pulled his wallet out to hand you his credit card.
“Wait, Kento—“
“When you need coffee and food,” he said. “I know you need the coffee.” When you didn’t take the card, he sighed and took your hand and placed it there. “Let me take care of you again. I miss it.” You couldn’t help but smile.
“Okay,” you said happily. “I’ll see you later.”
“I love you, darling.” Nanami gave you a soft kiss.
“I love you, too.”

“Are you ashamed of me?”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“…should I not be?” Dark Cacao almost laughed, lips pulled into a strained smile. Then his face shifted, soft and sad, like he regretted his words, yet he didn’t feel sorry for what he felt.
And Burning Spice didn’t know what hurt more.
“…You’re a Beast.” He said. And Burning Spice’s heart constricts. “A monster.” He continues, “A tyrant. Am I supposed to parade our relationship around?“
Burning Spice feels something claw at this chest. Shame, maybe. Hurt. The emotional kind. A thing he hasn’t felt in years. Centuries. Unfamiliar and terrible. It made him want to rip at his own dough, crawl into a deep pit and never resurface.
“You tore my friend’s wings off—you took her soul jam,” he almost growls, “you beat her down to her lowest and yet. And yet—“
A hand comes up to rub at his at his temple, almost seeming distressed, angry, frustrated, all mixed into one big pot of emotions.
“I love you.”
Burning Spice hates the way his heart jumps at Dark Cacao’s words.
And from Dark’s Cacao’s face, he seems to hate the fact that he means it.
“I want you. I cannot seem to think of a life without your presence and it haunts me.”
Burning Spice’s fists clench, an overwhelming urge to hug the cookie before him washes over him, to hug, and kiss, and squeeze every thought out of his head, flooding his every vein. Before he realizes he can just leave. Before he’s finally has enough, before he says he’s done and that, no, he can’t do this. He can’t be with the Beast of Destruction, destined to purge and lay waste to all that surrounds him eventually.
Before he realizes he doesn’t want to take that risk.
“Because if you’re just so terrible and abhorrent, and I love you, what does that mean for me?”
Before he decides that his kingdom and comrades precedes his measly feelings for him.

Fishymom... Let me present to you... *Epic drumroll noises from suspense*
Turmeric Gecko Cookie !!!
Tumblr media
He is Nutmeg Tiger's and Cilantro Cookie's baby. Meaning she is also Burning Spice's grandchild... (+ Golden Cheese's and Smoked Cheese's step grandkid-)
Yeah... Poor Burning Spice...
Anyway-! Some facts about that silly lizard !
• He is very intense but very nice once you know her. Lots of energy to burn off and very hyper. A bit goofy and silly at times. Quite protective and territorial, she's a wild and feral one ! Quick to anger to. Being a hot head while being a cold blood (jam ?) Creature, the irony... Also, the sass this kid has ! Such an adorable little shit !
• He looks older than she actually is ! She uses this to his advantage, for evil ! (Aka : pranks and doing things he shouldn't do at her age)
• She can climb and walls/ceilings without any difficulty, and he's scary fast. It's quite common to find him on walls and ceilings in the middle of the night, just looking at you with light reflecting eyes. Yes, she did give quite a few heart attacks to many people. It's one of her favorite things to do.
• She shares her mama's (Nutmeg) passion for plants ! One of their child/mother bounding times is gardening ! Another one of those bounding activities is training. His mama teaches her how to use her mom's (Cilantro) weapons... It's a bit bittersweet.
• He often wishes she could have met her mama... Since she died before she hatched... His mom tells him stories about her mom, but it's not the same as actually meeting her ! Her mama always refuses to tell him who killed his mom ! But after a while, she stopped trying, especially when each time he did ask, her mama looked so heartbroken and betrayed...
(People, please tell me if there's things you can't read in the photo ! I'll rewrite it down in the comments if necessary. ^^)

Word Count: 907 words
Summary: It's Christmas Eve and all the kids are ready for Santa's debut! After convincing the older ones to go to bed early for the sake of your youngest, Shoto, you opt to stay up in the hopes of hiding a few last minute presents for Enji.
Tumblr media
December 24
“Mommy, Santa’s coming!” Little Shoto bounces around with more energy than Toya during the yearly UA Sports Festival. “Can I put out the milk? And I want to make sure the reindeer have food, please.”
“My, someone’s eager!” You chuckle with good humor, pulling out the milk and a clean, tall glass while Shoto grabs a bag of reindeer food from the counter to go sprinkle in the front yard. “Hang on, Shoto, you need to wait for me.”
He bounces on the soles of his feet as he stands there, eyes glowing with eagerness. He’s always struggled to show emotion, so the sight of those twinkling eyes hurries you to the door so you can both indulge in the magic.
After scattering handfuls of deer feed and chopped greens on the lawn, you usher him back in to set out cookies and milk. Shoto rearranges the plate and the glass of milk at least three times before he’s satisfied.
“Okay, Shoto, I think it’s time for bed.” You ruffle his hair. “Santa won’t come if you’re not sound asleep in your bed, you know.”
“But what about you and Daddy? Are you going to bed, too? And then Toya! He always stays up extra late. Can you make sure he goes to bed?” Shoto hops onto his soft mattress and pulls the covers up under his chin.
“Yes, sweetheart, we’ll make sure everyone’s asleep.” You promise, planting a kiss on his forehead and combing his hair with your fingers. “Don't worry your sleepy little head about it. Tomorrow will be Christmas and it’ll be full of magic and wonder.”
“Yeah! I’m so excited!” His heterochromic eyes glisten in the lamplight. “Will you still sing me my lullaby?”
“Of course, dear one.”
. . . . .
A Shoto fair with red and white hair -
your fire and ice will mingle so nice.
But that’s not all you are;
see, you’re my shining star!
Remember who you are.
With Shoto sound asleep, you start making your rounds with the other children, tapping on their doors and peeking in. Tenko is already fast asleep, blue hair askew on as he snores lightly from the day’s excitement. Fuyumi might be thirteen, but she also asks you to remind Toya to go to sleep early so Santa won’t pass over the Todoroki house.
“Ugh, why do I have to go to bed for something stupid like Santa?” Toya whines when you peek in. “They’d never know one way or the other.”
“Maybe not. But your little siblings look up to you, Toya, and you need some good rest. Can’t you sleep early one night out of the year to give them some peace of mind?” You reason.
Though he’s quiet for a few moments, Toya ultimately groans and turns off his light before turning over in bed. “Oh, alright. Good night, Mom.”
“Good night, my love.” You go to leave but pause in the doorway. With a little smile, you turn to Toya’s bed. “Do you want me to sing your lullaby?”
“Mooooom! I’m not five anymore.” Toya gripes.
“Okay, okay. I sang for the others, so I just wanted to offer.”
When you hear the door click, you let out a heavy sigh and find Enji reading in his lounge chair. Crawling up into his lap and squirming under the thick tome to lay on his chest, your expectant gaze matches his amused one.
“Can I help you?” He smirks.
“The kids are in bed and it’s Christmas Eve. We should head to bed before Santa arrives.” You wink.
His book closes with a thunk before he sets it aside and stands by lifting you in his arms. Blue irises capture you in their wicked gleam.
“You don’t suppose we have a little time before Santa arrives to open a few late night presents, do you?” He whispers in your ear.
“Hmm, maybe one gift before bed.”
. . . . .
The amount of effort it takes to keep your eyes open after post-orgasmic bliss while being huddled up to a living furnace should earn you an award. And that’s not including the way in which you finesse yourself from his grip as he snores softly against your neck.
Once freed, you fumble around for the two crocheted Pokémon hidden underneath a blanket beneath your bedside table. You glide out of the bedroom after throwing on a robe and head down the hall to the plate of cookie crumbs and empty milk glass, before setting down Glaceon and Camerupt at Enji’s usual seat.
After a quick once over to make sure everything is in place and listening by Toya’s door to double check that he’s actually still asleep, you head back to bed with Enji.
You sigh and snuggle up to your favorite space heater.
“Was wondering where you went…” His arms pull you closer. “Gets lonely without you here.”
“I was gone for like ten seconds.” You hiss, heart skyrocketing at the prospect of him spoiling his surprise gifts. “I had to pee.” “Hmph. Give me a little credit and lie better. We’ve been married for 15 years; you were hiding presents.” He chuckles.
You pout into the darkness.
“...well, did you see them?”
“No. Again, we’ve been married for 15 years. You like to make it a surprise, and I’m tired.” With a huff of a laugh and a boop to his nose, you tuck your head under his chin and smile.
“Thanks, Enji.”

HCs of Kusakabe while I spiral over my exams tmmrw
My brain rot of him is so so bad rn help
Bf Kusakaba is the type to want to stay home but gets dragged out by his S/O because they really wanted him to come!
Homebody; he doesn’t know what’s going on in the city he lives in bc goes strait home after work. Where’s a good place to ___?  He doesn’t know even if he’s lived there for years (he’s just like me fr)
Becomes incredibly attached to that pet he said he didn’t want
The type to hide his face in your neck when hugging esp after a long day
Tight back-cracking hugs >>>>>> and his hands fully press/hold you too like not just fingertips yk
Begrudgingly sighs as he walks into the private lesson/ couple thing his partner booked to spend time together but after like 4 weeks starts to enjoy it or at least tolerate it bc he knows it makes them happy ;-;
Keeps a pack of cigarettes in his glovebox/pocket/whatever but no lighter, he just likes to smell them :(
he wants to go home as soon as he’s out for more than 20 mins
Makes plans ahead of time, feels dreadful the day said plans are supposed to happen

I love smaller companions, who are very used to their larger or size-shifting companions, being abruptly reminded sometimes of just how large and powerful their friends/partners are.
If you hang around a giant enough [especially one that usually is about your size because they're a size-shifter], eventually you get comfortable with them. Casual. Sometimes you forget, in the midst of their kindness and gentle-ness towards you, that they can level whole buildings. Crush boulders with a single hand. Let loose a beastly roar that shakes your bones and makes even the earth tremble beneath you.
You forget that a lot when you're so used to them laughing with you, taking walks, enjoying nature, letting you ride their shoulder or in their pocket.
And then sometimes, when they go to pick you up under your arms, you're sharply reminded of just _how_ big they are compared to you. Those moments of clarity keep you humble. Keep you... excited, almost.
After all, life with a giant requires a healthy level of self-awareness and respect. But it makes that deep trust and the special treatment you get from them all the more special.

Kiss roulette #24
*cracks knuckles* my time has come
24. A sleepy kiss
The first time CJ spends the night, it's by accident.
A long day of pacing back and forth between the Oval and the Sit Room, Russia and China posturing with Kazakhstan caught in the middle, and at the end of it all, she shows up at Danny's door.
And now, it's early enough that the only light in the room is the glow of the clock on the nightstand, bright red letters spelling out 5:37 AM.
DC is surprisingly peaceful at this hour, and despite her slight disquiet over spending the night, however unintentionally, it feels like some kind of sign that she's here now.
Danny's arm is thrown over her waist, his fingers burning hot against her skin where the hem of her shirt has ridden up during the night.
His voice is hoarse, tired. "You're still here."
She turns over, dislodging his arm, only to find him wearing a sleepy smile. "Sorry."
"Don't be sorry. You needed the rest."
"I didn't want... I don't know, I didn't want to impose."
"I don't mind."
If CJ were thinking with her grown-up, rational brain, she'd remind him that this is an arrangement built on impermanence, that the strict boundaries she's set are to protect both of them.
The words don't quite reach her lips.
"I don't mind either," she admits.
Danny grins, leaning in to finally kiss her.
CJ melts into his touch, feeling the brush of his beard against her mouth, his hand settling on her hip instead, toying with the waistband of her pants.
"How long until you have to go?" Danny asks, pulling away.
"Long enough."

@digenvez : how about you talk to me about dark romance, hmm~? [ from satoru :) ]
'' Satoru ... ''
Tumblr media
The Binge Eater gave him a slow and silent stare, eyes filled to the brim with something unspeakable, unreadable, undetectable; until he willed to expose his motives. By the set of his jaw Satoru could see that he is resolved, the strength is in him. The Honored one's flame of concern could be rightfully kindled by devious gleam of raw intensity in his eyes manifesting seconds later. It was also Geto endorsing and minimizing the distance between them in no time to bare minimum. Precursory appendage rose, sharp fingers claiming the collar of his shirt with firm tenderness to keep his balance still and in place, composed for conquest. '' It is that sense of kinship that drives me to tell you I hold you in esteem but there's nothing educational for me to tell you, or perhaps -- ... ''
