Summary: Mona Lisa takes Raphael out for dinner.

Notes: This story is an epilogue to the ongoing TMNT 1987 comic book series TMNT: Saturday Morning Adventures, where in issues #17 and #18 Raphael and Mona Lisa team up to solve a museum mystery. I highly recommend checking them out, not only to get a little bit more context for this fanfic, but because they are a super fun read!

I love that the TMNT Saturday morning adventures just confirm Raph’s growing crush on Mona Lisa, like they constantly hang out together but it’s always with other people and Raph admits he would like to spend more time with her, just the two of them.

Even Mikey mentions how when Mona visits them, Raph gets so distracted by her presence that he forgets to eat. The boy is so in love but he won’t admit it.

And now we will soon be getting a new issue of Mona and Raph and they’ll be the main focus!

TMNTSMA is feeding us the 87 RaMona content that the 87 series was keeping us from for years!

After finding out that Mona Lisa will appear again in the comics, I started to wonder if you had any fics for 1987 RaMona?

Have I ever written an 87 RaMona fanfic? Sadly no. I want to at some point but I’m hitting a writer’s block in regards to them. Any time I think of a oneshot idea for them and I start writing it I end up losing interest/feeling it’s not good enough. I want to write an 87 RaMona story that really does them justice, you know?

With these new Saturday Morning Adventures comics featuring Mona Lisa coming out, I’m hoping this will help me with brainstorming a good onehsot idea for 87 RaMona.

Very well aware of the Mona Lisa B Plot in the April special (made a whole post about it too lol) Absolutely adore her in the issue and her moments with Raph were so cute, and her dynamic with Mikey was also very entertaining.

But yall don't seem to understand the bigger picture here, this issue isn't gonna have Mona in the B Plot, we're getting an issue where MONA LISA IS THE MAIN PLOT.

MONA AND RAPH TEAM UP ARE THE MAIN FOCUS OF THE ARC!!! ❤️❤️❤️
