I know we all love how goofy silly Leo is, our bonafide king of comedy, THE resident giggle-case. Absolute madman! Out of his gourd and just a lil' kooky, ya know?

good morning plebeians!

i'm still in study-grind mode for my exam, so don't get too comfortable with my return. HOWEVER, i need to yap about this for a second, so i can focus on study lol.

gotn is my favourite of the tov extended series so far. i know i keep saying that with every new installment, but that's because it's TRUE. EVERY ONE ENDS UP BEING BETTER THAN THE LAST I DONT KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU.

tov < sai < cos < gotn

the thing is right, tov is so mwah and nostalgic. it makes me miss a world i never lived in. the og cast themselves are hard to beat. which is why seeing them at their debuts is just it's own special feeling. but in terms of plot, tov is very much the build up for sai. and sai is MWAH.

sai is the payoff and absolute climatic MESS of all the shit alan got himself into. it's the past, the present, and the future in one book. gorgeous. but still not as majestic as cos.

cos, as i said, is MAJESTIC. the entire book has a majesty vibe to it. the royalty, the opulence, the otherworldly magic, the divinity, the omens... everything about it feels elevated and coated in gold dust.

but gotn??? reading gotn (by the way, i've been doing that, lol), feels like i'm watching episodes of a show, or a movie, where the entire book animates behind my eyes in ways that none of the prior books had. there's movement to gotn. fluidity. dynamics. each scene flows into the next, and the entire book fits into place. if you ignore the start, which i def have to rewrite because i went into it more blind than i should have, then gotn from the start of the north plotline to the end ebbs and flows PERFECTLY.

evan's behaviour, his growth, the people he meets, the relationships he builds, his friendship, his THERAPY ARC??? none of it feels random. it all feels like it was subtly built upon a previous thought. and i acc adore it. i wish i learned how to write like this sooner so i could have added this level of animation to my other books. womp womp. you live and you learn.

@dyingimp and I had the same Spanish class today, and ended up drawing neon void, made by @sugarpasteltmnt all over the back of my vocab paper. The camera quality is so baddd 😭
