y'all i'm actually near tears i used to have rp blogs and at one point i rp'ed leonard mccoy but anyways during that time i had found an artist on here who drew aos (and tos but mostly aos) star trek art and mostly of bones and soo much spones too which made me especially happy. but like ydont understand the way they depict bones is literally like they took how he looks to me and made it real which always made me crazy emotional esp bc i have aphantasia so like i can't make any mental images at all so finding something that fits exactly whats in my head but not in like an image format is so insanely difficult. and anyways i ended up going on perma hiatus and im pretty sure i lost access to the two last blogs i had but i somehow fucking remembered some old urls because i kept thinking about this fanart but i couldn't remember the artist and anyways i FINALLY found their blog again and its @toboldlymuppet and their art is so beautiful im so in love anyways i just went thru most of their star trek tag and just liked stuff uuhh so yeah im so happy i've been searching for their blog for ages but i couldn't remember anything and im just i can die happy knowing this art is in my life again

unfortunately it seems that op deactivated and i'm not sure how to find them but this one specific post drives me crazy. i remember that at my height of high school one piece obsession i literally shoved this in everyones faces and reblogged it so much. the shape language for them is seriously perfect and idk what itch it scratches in my brain but it makes me feel CRAZY!!!!!!

everyone rightfully knows you as the Robin Artist, but who are some of your favorite Robin Artists on here?

I kept trying to respond to this one because there's so many that I really love (though I'm most active on Twitter) and I don't want anyone to feel left out, but also the thing is I see art of Robin and my synapses fire like crazy. So, I highly recommend the "Nico Robin Enjoyers" community for one thing, more folks should join and post in there.

For individuals, I have a few and I'm sorry for the notifications. Some of these aren't necessarily Robin artists or even into OP anymore, but they were a huge inspiration to me and I just want them to know that!

Got any advice on drawing McCoy? I hear people all the time saying how hard Jim is to draw (and he 100% is almost impossible i don’t deny) but McCoy T-T that wrinkley old bastard just completely eludes me for some reason lmao

obv this is just how i interpret them in my style. there's no right way to go about this and another thing that helps is to, aside from referencing the source material, look at how other artists (off the top of my head, toboldlymuppet's trek art on tumblr definitely had some influence in how i drew them when i'd freshly gotten into trek!)

also forgot to mention but mcspirk definitely has really distinct silhouettes!! so don't be afraid to mess around with stylisation and emphasize the features that characterize each of em :]]

for this references are your good friend! (i'm a hypocrite bc i only use refs when im completely stuck LMAO it's a bad habit. use those refs liberally. don't be like me 💀💀)

learning to stylise blorbos always takes some work but i promise you'll get there<33 here's a side by side comparison of one of my earliest bones scribbles and one of the most recent-- you can really see the evolution of how i was able to get more comfortable with characterization (even though I used refs for neither of these LOL).
