If Peter's love language is physical touch, and Tony's is gift giving, but Tony is touch starved, and before he met Peter the only person who REALLY helped him with that was Pepper, because she's the only one who really touched him, Happy and Rhodes rarely touched him, so Tony I was almost going crazy now because since Pepper is CEO she doesn't have much time to fulfill his need for physical touch anymore

I was reading fanfic and then I realize, touch starved people are not hungry for hugs, but also for simpler touches, handshakes, hands on shoulders, or when arms touch, then it made me think

Then Peter came into his life and for the first time in a long time he had someone who touched him willingly and made him comfortable with it, Peter simply gets excited during lab day and would throw himself next to Tony to show him an experiment by making their arms come together

Tony latches onto every little moment where the slightest bit of them exists, Peter grabbing his arm to show him something, or jokingly putting his hands over Tony's eyes and make him guess who is

One day Peter starts to stop doing things like that and Tony is dying inside, he doesn't know how to ask why, and it's driving him crazy

One day, Tony musters all his courage to ask this, but in a sarcastic way so Peter doesn't realize how worried he really is

Peter starts getting nervous and stuttering about how every time he touches Tony he freezes and acts kind of weird, so he figured Tony hated touch, Tony has never regretted his reputation as the "guy who hates physical touch" so much, and for the first time in a long time, he stuttered trying to explain that he didn't actually hate touch

Peter only became even more confused, but at least he understood that Tony didn't hate him, from then on the physical touch became more intense, like occasional hugs, Tony never told him to stop so Peter just assumed he didn't care

Sometimes when Peter stops hugging him, Tony starts buying him gifts to make him understand that he doesn't hate his touch, honestly it must be hilarious to anyone watching from the outside

Peter is not touch starved on my head, he never had to deprive himself of physical contact, May and Ben were affectionate, even when Ben died May was very present

Tony on the other hand had to follow his father's ideas about "Stark's are made of iron" he took it a little too literally, he's been deprived of touch for so long that any slightest touch leaves him with a weird feeling of pain, not the "don't touch me, it hurts" kind of thing, more like "if you touch me again I'll fall apart because that's what I've been silently begging for for the last 30 years" so when Peter often started touching him because simply, that's normal for him, pats on the shoulder, quick hugs, nose-snatching games, it's normal, but for Tony this is just a reminder of how vulnerable he was when it came to physical contact

One day Peter hugs him after a particularly stressful day, it was all he needed at the moment, comfort, affection, genuine concern, he broke down, hugged Peter back feeling tears wanting to escape his eyes, Peter could probably hear his heart beating fast, He knows he shouldn't get so attached, he'll scare the boy, damn he could lose the boy for a show of weakness like that...

Peter just stands there, paralyzed, and when Tony releases him 1 minute later with his red face covered by his sunglasses but obvious tear marks, he is so confused, Tony just runs away from there, shouting in a shaky voice that "LAB IS CANCELED FOR THIS WEEK"

The following week Peter acts as if nothing had happened, Tony can't, he tries to start a conversation to explain himself but Peter hugs him and he can't say anything anymore, fearing that his voice would fail and he would collapse again, Peter just says "if you wanna cry, you can cry you know?..."

Tony breaks down, for the first time in his life feeling comfortable enough to cry in someone's arms, vulnerable enough to break down without feeling judged

Pepper found the scene of Peter carrying Tony to the room on his shoulder, then the two stayed in the living room talking about Tony until 1 hour later when Tony woke up and saw Peter at the kitchen counter drinking a carton of grape juice talking to Pepper with a glass of wine on the couch about how Tony is needy for physical touch

Tony has never been so embarrassed, at least now Pepper and Peter are helping him ease his need for physical touch

Uber eats/grubhub worker Peter Parker gets worried when his regular never deters doesn't use the app as normal. The guy is a regular for the last 2 years. Even if he has never met the guy before.

So yeah he gets worried and calls the number he has. This weird British guy answered " This is Jarvis, you have called a private line, how did you get this number and why are you calling"

" Hi! I mean... Hello. So like... umm I'm Parker i mean Peter Parker. Umm I normally do deliveries for uhh Anthony. And umm he never doesn't order? I mean if he didn't that's fine but...uhhh... I just want to make sure he is okay? Like... it's cool if there isn't an order but... normally he does... and I wanted to make sure ya know... everything is okay..."

And thats how Peter ends up being directed to Stark Tower, up elevators he has never been in before. Given entry to what appears to be a lab/workshop.

The Tony Stark laying in a chair and being told to help move the arc reactor in his chest before he passes out.
