Living with her uncle did not sound so bad to Boda. After all he told the best stories and unlike her father he had no problem with her wanting to learn how to wield a sword.

Still - having to leave her family and the only home she had known behind made her heart ache more than she liked to admit.

The night before they would leave Boda could not not sleep. She snuck out in the early morning hours, took her brother's wooden trainingsword and let her anger out on the inoccent straw-doll.

She was so focused on her strikes that she did not hear the soft footsteps behind her. But the soft growl that followed made her turn around quickly. It was the wolf with the strange eyes!

"I remember you..", she carefully ran her fingers through his dark fur. "Have you come to say goodbye?" She waited as if the wolf would answer. Of course he didn't but Boda could have sworn he understood every word.

She smiled as the wolf pressed his wet nose into the palm of her hand. "I'm not moving far, you know. You can even see the house from here." The question who she was trying to convince - the wolf or herself - naturally reamined unspoken.

Wooden swords have been around for centuries and have been used as an integral part of martial arts from Kung Fu to Kendo. They are preferred by many as a training tool because they offer a wide variety of balancing challenges, giving the user a more realistic workout. In fact, some participants will rival their swords on real steel blades!

I got a Two hander Trainingsword now and a book on sword fighting. I have acknowledged that I could never beat you in a fair fight in my current state so now I will train and study the blade until I can MUAHAHAHAHAHA

You forget that I know how to fight with swords.

Rapiers, Arming swords, bastard swords, longswords, sabers...

Must I repeat that you stand no chance against me in a fight?

“Let me grab the first-aid kit. Don’t move.”

The tact of the wooden swords clacking against another was as fast as a dance. Although all Younglings started with the most basic Form for a Masters eyes it was easy to see only a few years into the training what Form they would eventually lean towards as soon as they would be Padawans and eventually Knights, and the two Younglings sparring alone in the room were no exceptions. It was a swift dance, where the boy stepped back, the girl stepped forward,where the one turned, the other followed and was already there and the wooden trainingswords clacked, clacked, clacked against another rhythmically like in a wild song.  Artifical red eveninglight fell through one of the high windows and wrapped the room in a warm red cloak as they danced.  Then the tact suddenly changed, the song got another rhythm, became more agressive, became louder. The short Tynnan suddenly turned and started to impel the Humanoid, pushing him back with her strikes without giving in a single inch when she moved out of the line of his attacks but forced him to block her own strikes.  

Ziv, dived unter Poes strike, then she used the open line, jumped forward- 

-and jumped faceforward straight into the wall when the other instead of blocking swiftly moved to the side.  There was a cracking noise only Ziv heard when her face crushed against the wall that appeared to be for sure a lot of harder than her head and grunting she stumbled back,a splutter of blood red like the eveningsun and reeking of iron sprouting from her nose and her brutally bursted lips.  Grunting the cub stumbled back and eventually just sat on the ground more shocked than hurt while the blood dyed her silver white pelt into a deep crimson.  “-Ah-augh- wha-?”, the pain came a second too late and the small girl flinched miserably as she reached up to touched her bursted lips where her own  teeth had cut like razors into her own flesh. She did not cried, no,the small girl barely ever cried. What really hit her was not the pain, what really made her breath become fast and hasty was not that her face felt as if it had turned into splinters, what really made her small shoulders tremble was not seeing her own blood running over her chin and spilling thickly on her robe dyeing the pale browns crimson, but that she had not seen it coming. She had not seen that Poe would move to the side. She had failed in the form.  It was Poes startled voice that made Ziv look up with big eyes so fast blood spluttered on the ground: 

 “Let me grab the first-aid kit! Don’t move.”

Hasty the cub reached out and held to the edge of the boys robe so hard her claws almost digged into the younglings cloth like shears. The Blood continued to splutter out of her tiny nose while Ziv held with a ironhard grip to him,unwilling to let Poe leave her alone and even using her grasp on the boys cloth to pull herself back on her feet with pure stubborness. By now she was crying, although Ziv mulishly did not wanted to, so she just looked in steely silence up at Poe with squinted eyes, a stubbornly grimaced face, a trembling nose and thick tears rolling all the way down from her big eyes to her chin where they drenched her thick pelt.    “ N-oh! ah ‘m doin’ ik’ miself-!”, the girls voice was more a gurgle than anything else, disorted by a mouthful of blood that almost made her gag.
