Anastasia

The figurante witch, with a perfectionistic nature. A dedicated dancer by nature, this witch polishes its craft every day in order to impress its peers but seems to have already made up its mind that nothing it ever does will be good enough to measure up to people's expectations, and as such doesn't show the fruits of its labor to anyone. It stays in its labyrinth and continues to practice, resembling a dancer toy at the center of a snow globe, and feels particularly enraged at unskilled performers.

Its familiars are named Tremaine and their purpose is to offer feedback. If they consider someone's movements to be graceless they'll attack by throwing tomatoes, eggs and other assorted objects at the target of their ire. The witch always passes their evaluation with flying colors.

So, I'm unpinning my Bojji predicament post.

Next Sunday will be the 1-year anniversary of the day I had to let him go. I was really hoping for that Christmas Miracle where all the treatments I had paid for made him able to go on living after all and it never came. Then this past year has done nothing but beat me down, adding predicament after predicament, taking another cat from me, giving me an urgent-health-problem scare about the one that remains, the solution to which was--u guessed it--higher monthly cat food expenses, etc etc. Then, this weekend, my car broke down. The alternator's shot. Obviously I don't have money to fix that considering I can't even afford to, like. Eat a whole meal every day.

But thanks to good ol' Johnny Law, my Christmas Miracle is finally here. Not in the form of my dead cat coming back to life, unfortunately, but basically the next best thing.

Fëanorian Circus AU

Large and flashy circus tent, it's the size of a small stadium, decked out with all state of the art equipment personally built by Fëanor, Curufin and Celebrimbor.

Nerdanel: The manager of the circus and resident Strongwoman. She usually takes care of the circus and keeps it running, but once in a while she will join the show with her own Strongwoman act. She lifts weights and huge slabs of marble, intersped with a small acrobatic routine between lifting to do handstands (two and one handed), contorting her legs as they're in the air as well as push ups. She's able to juggle heavy hammers and sharp chisels but she much prefers the strength acts. She will play Ringmaster whenever Maglor's in a different kind of mood.

Fëanor: Chief engineer and builder of props/equipment, in charge of the pyrotechnics and other special effects, and also the Fire Dancer and Fire Eater. He likes to work on new and interesting lighting techniques and coming up with SFX for the show, leaving the mundane work of screwing things together, building the stage and other equipment to his son and grandson, though he'll make damn sure that everyghing is safe. A micromanager when it comes to the effects during the show, so his fire dancing act is usually the closing act. He can do everything from flaming swords to whips, juggling torches, fire poi, hoops on fire, eating and breathing fire. The Spirit of Fire is his stage name, and as the finalé he sets himself on fire.

Maedhros: Stagehand, Safety Spotter during practice, Backup Performer, and Acrobat. He prefers working in the background, helping to set up and dismantle equipment/props between acts and melt into the background. He's always present at every practice session, keeping a keen eye on all the performers as they go through their routine with safety mats, nets and other equipment at the ready. He'll even catch someone mid-fall if need be. He's a competent and well rounded circus performer able to fill in for others who have fallen ill or had injured themselves in an accident, he has both the strength, flexibility and agility for it, though he doesn't really excell at any one act. Is willing to step into the Ringmaster role when neither Nerdanel or Maglor are available. He can do a very convincing sword swallowing act, and he has an Aerial Silk routine that he'll only ever perform with Fingon (it starts off with him hanging from the silks by one wrist and Fingon climbing up to him. The coreography makes it seem like they are flying entangled in each other's limbs. It's very romantic)

Maglor: Band Musician/Leader, Ringmaster, and Horse Act Performer. Maglor flits between roles, never really able to make up his mind what he wants to do. He spends equal amount of time playing a number of instruments with the band and hyping up the audience/ announcing the performers as Ringmaster. Depends on how artistic versus in the centre of attention he is feeling at the time. However, when the urge to perform in the circus ring takes hold he does a horse riding routine. It's one of the reasons why the stage is so large, to have the space for his horse to gallop and leap freely. He has his horse leaping through all sorts of obsticals, even water pits, and Maglor will stand from his saddle doing acrobatic moves. He will also do a dressage routine, having the horse dance to music with precise steps, showing off how well trained and disciplined his steed is and how well they work together. When Maglor was starting out at the circus he used to have a musical clown act, but he took his music too seriously to have his talent be used for jokes.

Celegorm: Animal Trainer and Archery trickshooter. He trains all sorts of animals to perform tricks, Huan being his star performer. He'll have Huan jumping through hoops, run obstical courses, dance on his hind legs, and do a few of these things backwards. Huan is a crowd favourite and will always draw 'awww''s at how adorable he is. Celegorm also has a rotating cast of other trained animals: cats, several species of birds like doves, parrots, corvids, eagles and falcons, and ferrets. He treats all his animals well and is aware of the controversy surrounding circus animals so he keeps larger animals like lions, tigers, and elephants out of his show. Sometimes he joins Maglor's horse act along with Aredhel, and he'll incorporate archery trick shots into the routine.

Caranthir: Accountant, Costume Designer/Maker, and Object Manipulator. Caranthir is very busy dealing with the circus' finances and designing and tailoring everyone's costumes. He likes it that way, not one to crave the spotlight and more comfortable staying backstage. Afterall, finishing 9+ costumes (including costume changes for performers with multiple acts) before the deadline is stressful on its own. However, in the rare cases when he's required to go on stage for one excuse or another, he prefers doing acts that don't require much coreography and are considered old classic circus staples. Plate spinning, juggling various objects, hula hoop, and sometimes joining in on Curufin's knife throwing act are all things he's willing to do. All prop work that fall under object manipulation.

Curufin: Engineer/Handyman, Stagehand, Knife Thrower. He's responsible for all the safety equipment, both creation and maintanance, rigging, wiring, and the complex props that require some mechanics. He, Fëanor and Celebrimbor all work and collaborate on those things, the job overlaps often enough but they all have their specialities. Curufin oversees the dismantling and reassambling of equipment between acts during shows, he knows how they work best afterall. He has a knife throwing act that usually includes audience participation, and he can also juggle and eat knives. Often he incorporates some slight of hand tricks, knives appearing and disappearing from his hands, the most the circus has of a magic act without requesting a guest performer.

Celebrimbor: Assistant Handyman, Prop Designer, Stagehand, and Aspiring Magician. He helps out with building props and equipment in any way Curufin and Fëanor needs, and he joins his father and his uncle Maedhros as a stagehand between acts. He's also in charge of designing and making most props which he enjoys because he can work together with the performers to make their vision come true. His favourite part of the show is always his father's slight of hand tricks and it's inspired him to become a magician. He's made his own magic props and has created many of his own original tricks and he can't wait to be finally able to join the performer's ranks.

Amrod and Amras: Acrobats and Clowns. They always work together. It makes their acrobatic acts safer and their clown routine that much more hilarious. They're very flexible and agile, and they do everything from flying trapeze to aerial hoop and silk, tight-rope, cyr wheel, teeter board and trampoline. Their clown act also includes acrobatic elements, usually to exaggarate some slapstick jokes.

Bonus Guest Performers:

Fingon: Acrobat, Archery Trickshooter, Band Musician. He has his aerial silk routine with Maedhros, and he prefers aerial acrobatic acts; aerial hoop, tightrope, flying trapeze, spanish web, clowd swing. On occasion he will join either Maglor's horse routine with horseback archery tricks or Celegorm for some duo trick shooting, and he joins the band whenever he feels like taking it easy.

Finrod: Contortionist, Snake Charmer, Band Musician. His routines usually include twisting his limbs into knots and showing off both flexibility and core strength by keeping twisted poses while balancing on two or one hand, sometimes even on top of some object like a giant ball, all the while some snake, mostly a boa, crawls and wraps itself all over him. He often fills in For Maglor in the band when he's busy performing or being Ringmaster.

Aredhel: Archery Trickshooter, Acrobat. She helps Celegorm and Maglor out with trickshots and she does balancing acts. Balancing on top of a moving horse or a ball while doing ribbon dancing.

Galadriel: Magician. She prefers doing illusion magic and mind reading. A lot of crowd work, "is this your card?", "think of a number between 1 and 100", "write an animal on this paper, lets see if I wrote the same animal", type of suggestions and mind manipulation.

Here is the whole character-roster for a made-up fighting-game I've come up for a squeal  to my CN-Fighter, a crossover fighting starting characters from some of Cartoon-Network's animated shows. The game idea will have some returning characters, along with some new faces, but it will feature a story involving the cartoon, Max-Steel (that aired on Cartoon-Network in case you're wondering).

Here's the basic story of the game idea: The Cartoon-Network is in danger again, this time it's under threat from then world-eating alien, Makino and his Ultralinks, so Max-Steel, the hero of that world, gathers up the heroes on the universe to help him fighting, however, Makino along with his herald, Miles Dread gathers up this world's villains to help them fight the heroes.
