It had been constant letters and visits and he had told her that he'd be back for an extra year. She knew Alicia, three years ago would have made a joke, a dig. She had listened to Fred and George make plenty on the Hogwarts Express. She didn't know how they were all going to react, seeing her, hand in hand with Marcus Flint. They were already getting looks of shock, looks of confusion and a few sneers. OH BRILLIANT - HAVEN'T EVEN GOT TO THE TERROR TWINS AND JORDON YET. Her grip tightened on his hand a little. ❛  No amount of Gryffindor or Firewhiskey bravery is preparing me for this, Marcus. My friends kinda think of you as a massive twat and WOOD, his going to flip a lid. He might even kick me off the team. It's going to be a bloodbath. ARE YOU SURE? Yes, it had paid off but it had also taken a lot of her energy. She felt like she was behind in all of her studies at this point, even charms. Everything they did would have made the other laugh last year. The cuddling, the revision sessions, the 'i love yous' they were all so different than the past four years of Hogwarts. She looked up at him smiling and it seemed to calm her down a little more. Not completely and if Bole appeared next to her she would attempt to punch him again, but she was calmer, less on edge. ❛ and don't talk like that ... memorising stuff in books doesn't make you some amazing witch or wizard.. ❜

Hermione, Harry and Ron had ran off and currently everyone was so concerned about what the Weasley Twins we’re going to do they didn’t notice one of their chases, glaring up at the Slytherin Captain.  MARCUS FLINT HAD NO RIGHT being so cocky.     He was as thick as a BRICK.   (but alicia can’t deny his a good on a broom and a good chaser).     and the Slytherin team only won due to their tactics.   As she squared up to the older boy,  face unbothered by the height difference and even less bothered by the other Slytherins surrounding him. If a fight really would breakout she knew she had the twins who would back her up.   ❛  control your little seekers tongue or I’ll make ALL of you WISH  wish you had just then... ❜

the thread was kinda fucked over by tumblr being stupid but basically, alicia has tried to fight marcus flint three sperate times.

the first time she's in 2nd year, only a reserve and because of that, her mouth is ready and you have charlie weasley who is just .... shooketh that this 5'0 2nd year punches Marcus Flint? like ... HUH

the second time it's 3rd year and once again, Alicia and Marcus have words - it's not pretty at all, and she's about to punch him when - bam teacher shows up, detention for her.

THE FINAL TIME is after draco malfoy calls hermione a mudblood. she tells the WHOLE slytherin team she'd hex them, Marcus calls her out, and so she punches him square in the face. she's now 5'3.

Maya gave a roll of her eyes and as he moved closer to her, she fixed him with a glare. Truthfully, she was in no mood to deal with a smug little Slytherin, his look and his words had pissed her off just the right amount that she was running her mouth before she could even think on it. Not that she regretted it, she wasn’t worried - the spell was a rather difficult one so if he really managed to pull it off, she’d be surprised. “Oh come off it, you know damn well that you can’t.” Arms crossed over her chest now, eyebrows raising. “What else would you need besides bragging rights? I don’t owe you shit.”

That wide grin of satisfaction from the failed attempt quickly drew to a halt. Hiss of displeasure coaxing from him at the call out. Loud Gryffindors can't keep their mouths shut... With a grunt the chaser headed towards the girl close by, a spring in his step as he done so. ❛ Please like that's even a challenge. ❜ Confident words from a boy whom would even admit he isn't the most talented at any advanced magical craft. ❛ Say I do it, what do I get in return? ❜

I spent three days in the hospital wing, but I'm being brutish? dickhead. ❜  she leaned against his chest, he had already calmed her down by calling her darling, the arm wrapped around her was another thing, a small smile finally on her lips. ❛  He went flying, it was a good punch but still. detention. less time to revise for my OWLs and I already lost three days. ❜  she might have immediately left the hospital wing and went to punch bole in the face, but he deserved it.

❛ The world is cruel and unjust darling, Bole was lucky to make it out without a nice black eye to match. ❜  A protective arm wrapped around her, he himself pleaded to not see anything when questioned. As far as Flint was aware his team mate had got what was coming to him. ❛ And if it happens to be any constellation, I "hear" it was a good punch. ❜

          Was he sure? Well, that was a question. Marcus knew those Gryffindors all to well, it would be like walking into a Lion’s Den blind. No, correction there was no like about it, that was exactly what he was doing yet if anyone asked why the answer would come without thought: She’s worth it. If anyone had told Marcus Flint two years ago he’d be head over heels in love with none other than Alicia Spinnet he’d ask if they’d had one too many Butterbeers. Now here he was hand in hand with her in the streets of Hogsmeade ready to show her off to the world. 

          ❛ I am if you are, I don’t think I can hide this away another year. However I might need a shot of Firewhiskey to ease the blow. ❜ A word of true honesty, not many people would often hear from the Chaser. Last year the pair had got close, at first the whole ‘relationship’ (if one could call it that) was heated - fiery even with very little signs of going anywhere. However, the more time the pair spent together the better they became. It was not longer all snide comments or dark looks cast in the other direction. With every meet up Marcus found himself more attached to the little firecracker and after getting a taste for being a true relationship over summer he didn’t want to go back. ❛ Besides, he can’t kick you off the team ⎯ there’s no one that would even fill an inch of your boots. ❜ 

          A pause as he pressed a kiss to the back of her hand, ❛  I like you Spinnet, and I want to spent time with you, just like how summer was. Not hiding a thing. We deserve better than dark corridors and stolen glances don’t ‘cha think? It’ll take time but everyone will come around won’t they? My boys and Wood included. ❜ 

❛  Done. My treat, and when we talk with your friends you can do the same. ❜  because she was not looking forward to that either. None of them had ever 'hung out' it was like a Hogwarts taboo. Gryffindors and Slytherins, especially ones on the Quidditch teams, were not friendly to each other. Even her parents had been shocked when she introduced her Slytherin boyfriend to them over the summer, which reminded her of the welsh cakes sitting in her dorm. ❛  Oh, once we get back. I need to give you some welsh cakes my mam owl'd over for you. ❜

His comment about Wood not kicking her off the team was sweet, even if she knew there were plenty of people who could easily do what she did. There were people destined to go pro and those that would peak at the school level. She was the second. It still confused her why Wood kept her on.  She couldn't even make the team her second year. Still, it was the sweet boyfriend thing to say, and for that she smiled a little. A year ago she'd be confused if someone said : Marcus Flint will make you have butterflies, but now that joke Fred had made had turned into a reality.

Her attention was back to him (and the people gawking around, who she glared at) He was right. They deserved better than secrecy.

❛  I like you too Flint. ❜  she loved him, but neither of them had said it in so many words. They said it in actions, by spending the whole summer together. By, looking ❛  guess we're doing this. Just don't accept anything Fred and George give you to eat, it's 99% sure to be some sort of prank sweet which they'll be testing. Also, knowing Fred he might turn into some sort of protective older brother... and Wood might cause a scene but everyone else has social skills... actually Jordan might say something stupid and George absolutely hates you with a passion, but EVERYONE ELSE aka Angelina and Katie, have social skills. ❜
