Simple Live Kitchen Clutter

I had a flare-up of my chronic pain these days, so I decided to make something comforting. And converting things is comforting.

The result is this set by JoyceisFox with 23 items — the biggest one I've shared here. Almost everything is low poly, except for the trio flower ceiling lamp (which is barely medium poly).

The tablecloth has an invisible recolor, so you can use the table both ways.

I thought it would be a waste to have these plates without a proper use, sooo:

I made those chocolate chips cookies too. Mesh by EA, but I retextured it to match my taste.

Just like with the Cat Café food, you can choose whether you want the custom plate or the game's default — but not both at the same time.

Hi! Firstly I want to say how much I love your videos. Asylum is my comfort TV at the moment. And I'm so excited for Season 3. I would just like to ask where you found those large, filled ashtrays you used in, for example, your Casino build? I've scoured your Pinterest boards, but I couldn't find it. I also wanted to ask if you have any tips for creating atmospheric lighting? and as for the ashtray i found it! i really thought i had it pinned, and i did but on my ..military/crime/scifi board? 🤔 i guess i was like...private eyes investigate crime..and smoke? lol so i do not blame you for not finding it and i'm sorry it was hard to locate!! it is a bioshock ashtray converted by mistyfluff here!

and as for atmospheric lighting, I loveddd the cinema secrets mod when I had it installed! The lit by firelight setting you could turn on for specific lots is amazing. I ended up uninstalling it and going back to using the maxis match lighting mod only because, you know that glitch where sometimes all the furniture in a build doesn't get lit up by the lighting anymore and you have to pick up each one and place it down? That started happening to me a lot more when I had cinemasecrets idk if it was related or if I just psyched myself out into thinking that lol -__- but it's beautiful! For me, I literally hate white light so much that I don't use it in any sim builds anymore basically lololol unless it's supposed to be a fluorescent and unpleasant area. At this point I really only use lights with a warm tone and I love how it feels cozy! pineappleforest has a post here showing the different maxis light settings and how to change custom lamps to a different type of light. Pineappleforest labels which lamps in their sets are warm/cool so I use a lot of warm PF lamps, like pretty much every lamp I use lol. And I also love the Still Here lamp by nixed sims, it's really warm lighting that is very retro. I also love to use the neon rods from PF's neon set because there is an invisible one! You can put an invisible colored neon and if there is other lighting nearby in the room, the effect is pretty subtle so it's fun to try different combos. I also love the big crazy neon maxis lightbulb lamps that are green/blue/and..orange? whichever, they are SO intense but that makes them really useful for photos or areas you want to feel spooky/scifi/moody etc. anyway I rambled a lot lol but I hope some of this was helpful at all!! <3

Hood emblems - a set of recolors using Yakumtsaki's designs 🌄

Hi! I recently remembered about a very old wip sitting somewhere in the depths of my computer 😅 The zip file contains recolors of wall fabrics and shields corresponding with different hoods and notable pre-made families. All recolors have 1 subset, the smaller shields come in gold and silver frames. Meshes are included for convenience, links are also provided below. Enjoy!

🛸 Crop Circles ! 🌾

🌌 I was decorating my StrangeTown remake and something was missing.... I remembered a neighborhood deco I used to have a while back. The Crop Circles made by TheNinthWaveSims

🏜️ I decided to recolor those Circles with @curiousb terrain paints. This allows for a wide range of colors for better effects in your neighborhood decor. They go quite well on Maxis fields, but unfortunately not on the ones by @greatcheesecakepersona or @pixeldolly ones. 🌱

📝 I gave them a proper description and also made them placeable everywhere, even under water ! 🌊

While studying for the driver's test I realized the alarming lack of road signs in Sims 2. Here's a motherlode of neighborhood deco.

Included is the air strip from Sims 3 plus a Roaring Heights exclusive recolor, various traffic signs from Sims 3, a streetlight and guard rails from Sims 3, and a flashing caution signal from Ambitions that actually flashes!

All located under Neighborhood Deco - Landmarks

Also included is a few telephone poles and a lamp post ripped from Sims 2 for Xbox and PSP.

As a bonus there's the Sims 1 Hot Date inspired stop sign, a conversion of Cyclonesue's stop sign for Sims 3

When I was a young kid, I would occasionally stay with my grandpa during joint custody. Dude was one of the meanest mfs I've ever met, but when I got to watch him work on his model train table, he turned into Bob Ross. Unfortunately lung cancer did him in before he could ever complete it, last I saw him he was still trying to get that waterfall fountain put in, and for reference that was way back in the summer when LeBron James left for Miami the first time.

When I'd go back to my mother's I'd always beg for a trainset. We lived in a small trailer on a tight budget so a giant table like his was out of the question. Had this model train catalogue that I would stare at for hours, circling all the little sign and tree kits pretending this would finally be the Christmas that my dream of building own little world would come true.

Childhood came and went, we moved around a bit, I ran away, moved around some more, scraped and scratched for another meal, but the thought of constructing my own world persisted.

Today I bring an entire set of neighborhood deco signs, lights, and other roadside infrastructure converted mainly from Sims 3, along with a few props ripped from Sims 2 console ports, just like those fancy railroad kits I would've killed for as a boy. Hope y'all enjoy.

Teen Style Laundry Rug Mesh Edit

So I was watching @antisocialbunnysims's recent speedbuild and I was like you know, that rug issue should be easy to fix. So yeah, I nudged it up a liiittle bit, just enough to make it not clip with most other rugs. It still clips with a couple ones, but I don't think you would put those clothes on top of rocks or a basketball court, would you? If anyone still finds it too low, or it still clips with other custom rugs, let me know and I'll raise the mesh even more!

This might be considered as a mesh default (called rugLaundry). I don't know if there's any defaults for this particular rug, but if there is, it probably conflicts with this one.
